The food was OK, the wine list mediocre or overpriced. What really let the place down was a very amateurish service. Stressed waiters buzzing around and having to be told off next to our table. Becoming stroppy when you asked for a knife to cut the birthday cake we ordered and that is just left on the table with a bunch of forks next to it. Not exactly what I was expecting to such a place.
To inform the waitress who served us yesterday, no Champagne (even if produced specially for the Ivy) comes from Scotland.

Food was really great but service could've been better. We asked for a minute to look at the dessert menu and the waiter didn't return for 10 minutes, then just took the menu's without taking our order until I interjected.

We ordered a dessert and cocktail, were then told they needed the table back soon (fair enough), and then cleared our drinks including an unfinished cocktail without asking if we were done. I had to go after the waitress to tell her the drink wasn't finished.

Love this place, definitely the best of the new chain. The food is excellent as are the drinks and the staff are extremely attentive. The upbeat atmosphere and decor makes this good for a relaxed dinner with friends and works equally well as a date venue.

The food is average for its price. Service is average. First the drink order was wrong after waiting 20 minutes for a beer and wine. It also took another 30 minutes to come out with our mains. Sat for another 30 minutes after finishing our meal with an empty plate. The waiter walked past us over and over again. It also felt to me and my partner that the waiter wasn t being very hospitable. Very rude and unable to do his job correctly. Not pleased!

Stylish interior, good service and you can get a seat at the bar for a bite to eat most days.

But I asked for scrambled eggs at 12 and they refused because it's not part of the lunch menu! Personally I think that shows a lack of interest in customer service. How hard is it to make scrambled eggs? Although to be completely fair the lunchtime alternative was great.

Beautiful restaurant with a well priced menu. French dip sandwich was delicious although a little heavy on the horseradish. Service was over attentive as it had not long opened, but was very slow at times. Would visit again if only for the truffle arancini.

Nice environment. Very tasty food and desserts. We visited the brasserie for lunch. It could have more soups available. Unfortunately it offers little variety of dishes in the fixed lunch menu and you have to choose apart from that. The nearby construction work causes noise at daytime.

I've eaten in both this Brasserie and the original restaurant. I enjoyed both and prefer this more relaxed Brasserie. The decor is cool. Staff are amazing and very helpful. Food is excellent. It is larger than you'd expect but it is worth reserving a table.

Nice fancy pub / stylish restaurant. Went here for brunch/lunch on Sunday there was a live jazz singer which was lovely! Food is very good, my friends and i ordered all different things and every single dish was nice! I would definitely recommend.

What a great place!! Despite booking for the wrong day (whoops) they still managed to accommodate us without fuss.
Fantastic staff, amazing food and brilliant atmosphere!
We'll definitely be returning.

Style over substance! Visited for a late breakfast with guests over from the the USA. Decor is lovely and location is ideal if you're in town. But the food was bang average, lukewarm when it arrived and some of the worst coffee i've had in a long time.

If I only had taken a picture of my perfect poached eggs!
It wasn't my first time at the Ivy, I have visited the Wimbledon and the Cobham branches. After a big night out in London and staying in a hotel in Soho,, nhmy husband and I went to Ivy Soho for breakfast. I ordered Avocado and Spinach Benedict which was completely new to me. It came with a good appreciation, as you always get at Ivy, the poached eggs was made to perfection and the avocado was of excellent quality. My breakfast was exquisite helping to cure my previous night's hungover!
My husband ordered an omelette which he also enjoyed very much. Service was excellent making the whole experience very enjoyable. I do recommend booking a table but if you are passing by it worth pop in and check if they have a table available. Ivy Soho Brasseries is a good place for couples, group of friends and family. The restaurant is well decorated with a bar in the middle, well located in the heart of Soho.

Lovely relaxed Sunday brunch. Excellent menu with brunch and other classics. Eggs Benedict and royale particularly good with great chips included. The chocolate bombe desert was fabulous according to my husband and niece but I was busily enjoying the flourless cappuccino cake. Coffee also good. Service generally ok but a little slow in bringing drinks and condiments, but really not an issue if you are not in a hurry. The dining room is centred round a large bar and in the style of the original Ivy. Definitely will visit again.

A nice size Ivy with a nice spread of areas on different levels allowing the space to be broken up a bit. Being a chain it feels a lot like the other restaurants and also now like the Harrys chain owned by the same business which is a bit of a shame for two such iconic names. The bar is nice but the service isn't great, is very slow and while we were there felt like the staff were trying to waste time walking around avoiding eye contact.

2nd visit = again: v friendly, fun, sweet & accommodating service (we hadn't booked (guests over from oz, so a spontaneous nite) & were, graciously moved to another table when we requested). On both times i've, preferred it to... WC2H 9NQ ;) v thank you for a slick dining experience.

Great decor and bar. Staff try but varying levels of expertise and experience. So some good, some getting there and others, well . . .

Usually very good service, however, last time I was not impressed by the less than friendly woman on reception. Just because you were in a bad mood, you dont need to get people's day off to a bad start. Thankfully a colleague could see this and sorted out the situation as best she could.

The duck salad has never not been good. The pie is good but rather small. The female cocktail maker that was there was amazing. Asked how I liked a martini and actually knew what dirty and wet meant! :-) 100 points for the Cocktail-Lady!

Staff were very polite and professional - and helped us shoo away a random northern gypsy ( we sat outside ) , the food was great as usual and the service was at a good standard . Clean all round with a good vibe

Very central eatery right in the heart of Soho. An offshoot from the renowned Ivy in Covent Garden but a more accessible version attracting a more casual crowd.

Food here was lovely and the atmosphere perfect for a meet up with friends. The service here - although a little pushy at times - was on a par with its bigger brother.

Overall recommended, just don't overstay your welcome.

Food was good but service so slow. Also, mainly a restaurant but such loud DJ music means you can t have a conversation. Just table after table shouting at each other. Pretty poor for The Ivy.

They use plastic straws for all their cold drinks! This restaurant doesn t care about the planet.
Other than that, we had great food and service. The vibe is lovely and relaxed but has a nice bustle about it. Such a shame that they re not aligned with the simplest of changes to reduce plastic waste that other restaurants made a long time ago.
