Good service but rooms absolutely do not represent as well as the photos.***UPDATED REVIEW*** When we got there, staff was helpful in finding other rooms but they all smelled bad. We decided to leave and try our hand someplace else. After we left the manager said to call her for a refund. The refund was because we found 2 live roaches and dead roach body parts in the room. We have tried to call her daily, and different hours and she is not available. Also when we initially went down to advise them about the problems in the room, one of the employee laughed at us before getting the manager. We ended up leaving the same day and went to marriot down the street. (Which made me pissed to the top of pisstivity because we just did a 7 hour drive with twins)The view is nice, but with the smell, bugs, lack of clean facilities, and the manager all of a sudden not being able to be reached, I'm changing my review. Employee didnt take our concerns seriously and I guess neither does the management there. I originally chose Landmark because they do have alot of pools and water activities (I have twins) but I would say when we got there (tuesday) 30% of the stuff was down or not operational. Price is great but not worth it the pain and headaches. Would not recommend this resort.

We purchased a Groupon so it was somewhat in our budget to stay here on off season ... But this would never be worth full price if things are run the same in the summer. The indoor pools were DISGUSTING. A woman literally brought her puppy in the hot tub, there was a plastic spoon and trash on the bottom of the lazy river, tons of hair and weave was floating around the water (and on the rocks), one of the hot tubs was cold and another was roped off. There was a hygenic liner on the outside of a hot tub and the amount of debris and nastiness floating on the water was nuts. I'm not even a germaphobe! The outdoor pools felt much nicer and the outdoor chairs were comfortable. Kitchen has good space for cooking but of course the pans are terrible for cleaning because nothing is good quality. Staff was friendly. Lines to check in were insane. Beach itself was nice. Kids really enjoyed themselves.
Very clean rooms and right on the beach. One of the best places I have stayed at. I read some of the bad reviews and didn't have any of those problems. I guess you can't please everyone though. Friendly atmosphere and great staff. Couldn''t have been more helpful. They were knowledgeable about the area and could help you find anything. I will be coming here every year.
Booked a room for a mini vacation for my daughter who just finished up the second grade. Paid for and reserved a standard room(the cheapest not gone lie). When we got there the staff was prompt and courteous. The young lady who checked us in was very sweet and took the few minutes to speak with my daughter. She congratulated my daughter on her transition to the third grade and showed us where to park and how to access our room. We got to our room and walked in to an executive king suite with a full kitchen and ocean view and balcony....FOR THE SAME PRICE!!!! Room was very clean and had everything we needed. I'm very impressed and look forward to our stay here!!!!!!!
We got this reservation through a Groupon deal, so the prices were really great! Our room faced the ocean and has a great view. We stayed March 19-23 and the weather waa still cold, and a lot of their seasonal items weren't open yet. Theres a couple sketchy thinkgs but overall a good place!
Only reason why i came was because of the kiddie area and lazy river which is closed. The resturant is way too high. The game room is too small and cost way too much money. Now much too do. They advertised well on the site but when you arrive its not what it seem. Waste of money.First and Last time here.
Very nice suite, amazing view from the 14th floor, I give the bed a 8 out of 10, very friendly front desk, even though we didn't use them there was plenty of pools and jacuzzis, inside and out, to use, beach access, parking deck right across the road. We had a great stay and look forward to staying here again.
Very outdated and half of the pools were closed and disgusting (the lazy river had a chicken wing floating in it for three days) We actually rented our room through Airbnb and were given access to only the pools with a blue wristband which we had to wear for our whole stay. The blue band denied us entry to the kiddie pool (not a problem, we brought no kids) and any food or bar area in the hotel. They denied our money for food and drink because we rented through a third party. We were thirsty too! So we took our money elsewhere. Such a shame and a bad business move on their part.
DO NOT stay here please!!! Our first time staying at this resort and the last. We had been accused of something we did not do and they took it out my checking account without any authorization after we had checked out. Very rude and unprofessional staff. I have called this resort numerous times to try and resolve the issue and got the run around, hung up on, and interrupted. There was strong weed smell at this resort all week.NOT a family resort. I pray for whomever lied about us breaking a TV comes back on them. Dishonesty equals karma.
This resort is perfect for families. Summer fun and spring enjoyment. This place is always a option for my family vacation. Summer activities on pool deck is always fun
Pros: the king sized bed was comfy and it was nice having the kitchen in the room. Also, the staff seemed nice and reasonable at check in.
Cons: no air conditioning in elevators and minimal ac in lobby area and hallways. Tried using the "fitness center" but it was so hot in there that I would have been better off running outside in the 90 degree weather.
Also, the surfaces in the room were all dusty when we arrived and I had to clean it myself.
So I got there to check in and after standing in line for 45 minutes I was finally to the counter to check in and was told because I am a local from Georgetown county that they couldn't accept my booking which was made online. I feel like that I should have been made aware of this before I got there and waste 45 minutes of my time then had to go look for a new hotel. Thank God for the Marriott hotel for coming thru for the locals and not just tourists like dome other hotels and resorts. This hotel needs better communication for its customers and better services. And needs some improvement before I try to ever stay here again.
Had my wife and our 3 kids there for spring break. Kids slept on the sleeper sofa. The 1st night we only had 2 pillows. I called the fount desk and asked for more they said they were out because the hotel was full. I said we have 5 people here and only 2 pillows they said sorry we can see if we can get you more tomorrow. We found broken glass under the sleeper sofa. I asked house keeping to clean it up. She said yea I know what you are talking about a picture broke in there a whole back. Do you want me to clean it up? I have a 9yr old a 3yr old and a 2yr old. Yes please. I knew we had to park across the road in the parking garage long walk back up the hotel.

The stay was terrible me and my boyfriends family went there for vacation recently it was there first time at the beach we had to switch room,There were cockroaches in the bed when we lifted up the sheets,There were blood stains on our curtains there was blood stain on one of the sheets given to us which was no ones there hair in the bathroom that was none of mine or the family we were very disappointed and we do not recommend you stay there,It made me sick,With the people smoking weed and the hallway smelling like urine not very pleasing Ruined our trip
We stayed here for 4 nights in December to play some golf before Christmas. The place was nearly empty but the staff were friendly, the place was clean and the food was great at the bar/restaurant. Our only suggestion is when food is ordered at the bar, make sure the chef (who is excellent) cooks it - we ordered a pizza (that are normally legendary) and the manager who was covering the bar for the night decided she could make it but it was undercooked and under dressed. We definitely plan to go back next year though!
Really closer to a 3.5 because this hotel/resort is very dated and they badly need a remodel/renovation. The decor is antiqued and clashy. Location was great and the beach is so close the views from our suite was breathtaking. Penny at Front desk was welcoming and gave us a coupon for an amazing dinner. Housekeeper Novia was very sweet and the room was clean. Everything we needed was included in our suite and the water park and golf were a great amenity option.
Our stay for the Christmas holidays was so nice and peaceful. The roomwas nice and clean and the cleaning staff was super nice. I did have a problem with the restaurant that serves breakfast in the morning but it was handle and I was happy. Will definitely be staying again.
Phenomenal! The hotel staff are super. Nothing is dirty, the pools and hot tubs are well maintained and the overallstay here is beautiful! I would definitely visit again and would recommend this hotel.
Myrtle beach is my favorite place in the world and staying at the Landmark makes it 10 times better! I always have a great time here. The rooms are always clean and the staff is always friendly. I love it!
Pretty run-down hotel. Nice to be so close to the beach with access to a lot of pools and hot tubs but don't expect to feel like you're at a classy place. The fire alarm was going off as we checked in and two nights later we all had to evacuate the hotel at 2am because someone pulled a fire alarm. Just needs to be updated and cleaned a little more.
Completely false advertisement. The rooms were tiny, it smelled terrible and was definitely not clean. Please save your money and look for some place else.
Absolutely the best resort to stay at! The covered and guarded garage is a big plus. Right on the oceanfront. The oceanfront rooms are worth the money; but, save a little and go for the ocean view. Near the boardwalk.
Power went out in our room, ruined $40 worth of food in the fridge. Overly restricted outdoor pool and hot tub hours. Cable and wifi doesn't work. Many amenities never even open.... Outdoor bar, snack bar, dessert bar, etc. Wished I would have picked another place.

Upon arrival, our room was filthy, including dirty linens left on countertops and toilet was not cleaned. The smell was terrible.
They moved us to a second room which was WORSE! Stains on the couch and the room was beyond disgusting. We pulled the covers back to get into bed, and the smell was outrageous. There was URINE!! FRESH WET URINE!! They tried to cover it up with a clean mattress protector. We wouldn t let our kids go into the pools because of the lack of cleanliness and hearing people say they experienced rashes afterwards. If you want to contract a bacterial infection, or sleep in someone else s body fluids by all means do so. We refuse to do that and didn t want our kids exposed to it. We left for a different hotel and ate the cost.
There was a gentleman that said the Health Department needs called.

4of july weekend was great at the Landmark, room was clean, indoor, outdoor, great,music by the pool fireworks great.. Terrence was so helpful doing check in by explaining everything. I little nosey in hallways but other thanthat..I will stay again ..Thank you Landmark for a great 4th of july weekend. .
Good service, and plenty of amenities which they were not stingy with. We had unlimited access to several pools and hot tubs on the ground floor just for checking in. Besides that the rooms were cozy and clean, and we were treated well during our stay.
We are a family of 4 and loved it! Great clean room, wonderful staff, terrific entertainment at night, only wish they had more vegetarian options in each of the restaurants. We had read other negative reviews online but we had no negative experience whatsoever. It was a super fun vacation.
We have been coming faithfully for over 10 years. This time we got what looked like a really nice room but it has roaches. Not one or two, but an entire colony. The manager, Penny, was not very sympathetic, spray or change rooms. Changing rooms takes an entire day and spraying with a one year old is dangerous!! Either way we are losing an entire day. Where is the monetary satisfaction for that? These rooms are not cheap and it s not our fault that the room is infested. Will never stay here again. Customer service sucks and they have bugs ! SMH

This place is a dump, when my wife and I check in we were met by security and he was rude by profiling guest, the clerk's was slow about checking guest in. Their rooms wasn't clean probably, elevator wasn't working, bathrooms was nasty and out of soap, paper towels. The guests wasn't practicing social distancing, and acting like the nation wasn't in a pandemic. Outrageous !!
Was my first time staying here and absolutely loved it! Yes it's a little dated and could use some love and care, but the rooms were nice and clean. Bed and couch was comfortable. Plenty of room. There indoor pool area was amazing
PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING! First of all, the photos are a huge LIE. I m Talking CATFISH style.. I m certain the photos where taken when the resort was originally built, forever ago..we did not receive what we requested and paid for..we stayed for two nights and the mattress springs were literally stabbing my back! The halls had a HORRIBLE scent even with the masks on it was unbearable!; The list goes on and frankly it is insulting to the word resort . I ve been to myrtle beach plenty of times and this was by FAR the worse experience..I m not typically one to leave reviews but frankly this needs to be updated because it s not at all what they show on their site. Definitely does not even receive the one star but google is nice..
If you are used to clean, decent hotels, then DO NOT STAY at Landmark. I cannot stress this enough. This hotel is old and it smells old, too. I could deal with the old part, because it has been renovated - BUT there were mold stains throughout the resort, not to mention the room. It reeked of mildew and smelled like it. We had an ocean view King bed efficiency room. The room overlooked the hotel parking lot next door and trash was everywhere! I saw 2 big garbage bins around Landmark - all reeking of trash, very close to the guest areas. Just disgusting! The layout of the hotel room itself was good & spacious, but it was GROSS. No other words to describe it. The sofa looked stained, there were bugs crawling around and flying around in the room. The bed linens were scratchy. The walls were stained badly. The carpet was SO OLD!! The room AC worked good, I'll give it that. However, the refrigerator did not work well. The piping was completely visible in the kitchen. No counter top in the bathroom, just a sink. The room & hotel are very outdated for the money we spent. It was not cheap, yet it should have been cheap for what we got!!! The resort itself was SO GROSS. Debris & trash everywhere - in the hallways, the elevators, ETC, ETC. Everywhere I looked, I saw trash & food just lying around. Trash cans overflowing. No one seemed to care to keep it clean. It was actually hard to find our room - we had to go thru several doors in the hallways just to find it, after going up the elevator and down several long narrow hallways. The hotel is like a maze. The elevators and hallways were SO small and narrow. It was super hard to maneuver the luggage cart thru the hallways and elevators. And don't let me get started on the pools - they looked green. I am being 100% honest. So sick. Stuff floating in them. No way would we dare get in them. We spent 1 night at Landmark - our reservation was for 4 nights. Luckily, we had the sense enough to request a refund for the rest of our trip. The manager, Joey, was very nice and accommodating - he gave us a full refund for the remaining 3 nights. We stayed the 1st night (Sunday) and checked out ASAP the next morning and stayed the rest of our trip at Coral Beach resort, which is 1000x better than Landmark. My husband actually met a couple on the Coral Beach elevator who had just checked out of Landmark for the same reasons we did! And the reservation attendant at Coral Beach said they get guests from Landmark often. So, it is NOT just us. Landmark is terrible. I would not recommend Landmark resort to anyone. The one thing I can say positive about Landmark is that everyone who worked there was nice. Especially the manager - he had no problem at all with us getting a refund. He did not try to talk us out of it or anything. We did not cause a scene when we asked for a refund. I fully expected him to tell us we could not get a refund. I am guessing they are used to guests complaining and asking for refunds and that is why he was so accommodating. Landmark resort looks so clean and nice on the website. I know all the beach resorts "spruce" up their pictures online, BUT Landmark's website is dangerously close to false advertisement!!!
This hotel is so old and out dated. There was roaches in my room and look at the dust coming out of the ac unit. The wall carpet.look and smelled bad. The white wall were have brown from dirt and the elevator smelled like pee...i used to be a big fan of this hotel some 12 yrs ago but never again..
This is the most disgusting and unsafe hotel I have ever stayed at. My wife made a reservation for the family to stay for a dance convention. The reservation was meant to run from a Friday to a Monday, but we jetted out of there Saturday morning after coming across multiple roaches running around the hotel lobby and the room. Some of the roaches were even crawling on the lobby walls just 15 feet away from their own restaurant. In addition, the room does not have enough outlets so as I am looking around for one, I ended up finding one in between the box spring and the mattress which is clearly a fire hazard.
Other guest that were with us on this trip found college kids whom broken into rooms to have parties and the hotel staff had no clue. During the dance convention there were men, whom were not staying in the hotel, wondering around checking out the dancers and in some cases following them.
I confronted the staff and managers about the roaches. They gave me a refund for Saturday thru Monday, but refuse to give me a refund for Friday night because we slept there. Although I understood their point of view, I wasn't going to pull my children at midnight (which was when we spotted the roaches) to go somewhere else at that time. They were just not sympathetic at all. They blame their chaotic environment on computer glitches which has nothing to do with their lack of security or the roaches.
The only thing this hotel has going for it is location, but so do many other hotels on the same block. Not only will I never come back to this hotel, but I will make sure no parent from my kid's dance school comes here either.
My family and I stayed at the Landmark Resort for 4 days. It was really nice and the pools and lazy river were really cool and the ocean view suite was perfect since we have 2 kids. We had a blast at the pools and hot tubs. It is a older hotel so don't expect to see the the $500.00 a night Hilton has to over, but overall the resort work out fine for us. I would recommend this resort to a people that aren't' supper picky over the small things like the t.v stations.
Cancelled our reservation without notice. Got lucky enough for a suite to be open and paid for it. Got to the room and the room was infested with roaches and smelled of mold. Not happy at all.
I love the landmark, it's awesome! I love all the amenities they offer, and that it's ON the beach. This will be our third time visiting, and anytime we go, we always make sure to stay here!
Landmark was once a nice place to stay. This has drastically changed. We had a convention there in April, 2018. The rooms were filthy. Linens were stained. Carpets were dirty, floor in bathroom was dirty. Cabinets were dirty. Bed was extremely hard. Blanket in room had a partial weave/ hair piece in it. Was so old, it started to crumble, no joke! Some quest didn't get linens until night time. Noise from pool area past 12 at night. Would have left this hotel but our meetings were there. We could not hear part of our convention because the room next to it was playing party music. Worst experience ever in Myrtle Beach. What happened Myrtle Beach? This used to be a nice place.
The stay was okay until Saturday, over $200 was stolen out of my room along with my wallet. I will NEVER stay here again. First of all they need to invest in cameras in the hallways, and they need to have a better system about who they hire for housekeeping. I had a few items in my wallet of my dads that can never be replaced. This should have never happened! I made a police report but haven t heard anything back. Also, I noticed that every single day that we were there.. the room only got cleaned when we were gone. Why couldn t they knock on the door earlier in the day and ask if we wanted our room cleaned instead of waiting until we left? I deserve my money back for my whole stay because that completely ruined it. I had to borrow money just to get back home because everything I had got stolen.
Stayed here for two nights on a last minute getaway with the family. Great price! No complaints. Clean rooms, comfy beds, and endless hot water. We had an ocean view with a balcony. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others. Thanks!
This place is a ripoff! A hurricane is coming and we called to cancel a week in advance and they charged us the equivalent of 1 1/2 nights. I won't ever stay at this hotel again!
I enjoyed my stay here, the pool, putt putt golf and we didn't have to wait to get to our room and the room was clean. But what I didn't like was the games are rigged and we saw a water bug on our balcony.
Cant say a whole lot because I only checked a room out but part of the sheetrock on the 8th floor had fallen off the wall that whole floor smelt musty plus you have to park across the street and walk across to get to your room. If your handicapped you have 4 spaces to choose from at the main building

Pretty simple rooms with no pictures up. Don't expect too much fancy stuff. We stayed in a King angle suite with a small kitchen that had one of those super mini bottles of dish detergent and it was missing a lot of dishes. The water stays hot for a long time. The inside pools were nice, we definitely enjoyed the lazy river.
Our reason for this stay at landmark resorts was because they had a wide selection of indoor pools, since it is off season that was the best best for the children. We came and checked it which took 45 minutes waiting in line. Went to the room which was actually nice but I m positive it advertised as queen size beds but upon arrival it was full sized beds. The rooms were clean. We went to the pool area just to notice all of the small kiddie pool areas were roped off in yellow tape because it was SEWAGE running through all of the pools except two. So almost everyone that was there were in the same two pools, and they were suitable for my kids age. So that vacation plan ruined and down the drain. We went to the arcade and then back to our room. Between the hours of 12am-3am it was a group of people fighting in the middle of the hallway. You could hear EVERYTHING. Because the walls are very thin. So it woke us up for most of the night. My stay was so bad that I checked out by 8:30 am just to get out of this dreadful motel. A manager was not avaliable to speak with this morning so I called back, after being hung up on Twice I spoke to ALEAH , who said she was there last night but didn t notice the pools ... how are you the manager but maintaince didn t tell you about the poop running through all the closed pools. And since we didn t report the fighting it was nothing she could do... but I m still waiting on her to investigate and return my phone call... so I just pretty much waisted time, money, and had our little kiddy get away ruined.
Horrible. This place was awful and unclean. From the moment we walked in there was leftover food, sand in the carpets, and the bathroom smelled. The ceiling had black marks. I called the front desk. We checked in late and I was nice asked that they take care of it in the morning. They never did. The hallways and elevators were old and dirty. The bathrooms by the pool looked like it haven t been cleaned in days. The pictures online is very deceiving. Items were taken out of our room and it really appeared like someone pooped in there. I never said anything to them because I didn t want to make a big deal and we were on vacation. We upgraded to a better room. It really Want worth paying the extra cash for the new room. We were still disappointed but it wasn t as bad as the first room. My daughter accidentally spilled a little bit of Pepsi over the balcony. The security guard then came and literally banged on my door. He demanded to see my daughter which I didn t let him. He voice was raised and he threatened to evict me and my children.... over spilled PEPSI. I went down to the general manager and was extremely upset. Instead of them taking care of the situation and helping me to feel better. I was asked to leave the office because I raised my voice. This place is a joke! Don t go ... just don t!!! It doesn t deserve that one star. Additionally the parking lot smells like urine and is is dark. This place needs to be updated. No social distancing enforcement anywhere at all and Guest are not required to wear mask. I called the front desk to ask for disinfectant spray but they didn t have it. There were some really nice workers at the hotel. The bartenders, some cleaners, and some folks at the front desk were nice. Management is definitely horrific. The view here is nice but don t be fooled!
A sad family vacation . Caution room doors don't close completely. My door was ajared someone entered our room and stole money and meds. I called security made a report, also police and police report. They did nothing. Landmark: It's your fault. Fridge leaked fluid into some food. Called it in they came said they fixed it supposed. Next morning it had leaked into large slow cooker full of my family's dinner. They did nothing.Landmark: You should have kept your receipt. The $10 salad in restaurant not worth it soggy croutons, unfresh. Breakfast buffet not worth the $10. Hot stink elevator areas were hard waiting for the slow elevators .Everyday there was something the door keypad, the ironing board, towels, cooking tools. Staff was in and out of my room. The slow drain, the weak water pressure made this not a vacation to want to remember. To make it worst myself and my daughter have miscellaneous bits on our forearms. Landmark did nothing! Not to mention there were roaches in the lazy pool and in the sauna. So sad to spend so much $ to celebrate my baby and have problems at every turn. Never again!!
Check in was a long wait. They also said they did not have record of the Myrtle Waves tickets I purchased and when I got home I found my printed receipt of my purchase. Wasted $60 and had to spend another 60. Also our first room was repulsive. The walls were filthy and trashy. The seconed room was a lot better but not perfect. The best thing about this hotel was all the pools, lazy rivers, hot tubs, poolside drink bar and mon-fri dj. I would not go back.
It was absolutely wonderful. Extremely friendly staff. The rooms were extremely clean and well kept. The poold were absolutely perfect and clean. It was the best stay i have ever had anywhere.
Purchased a Groupon and upon arriving and waiting for 30 minutes to check in they couldn't find my reservation so the "upgraded" us to an ocean front which was an amazing view. The pools were great and the kids didn't want to leave! All the hallways were incredibly hot and stinky! Shower heads are unreasonably low. The stair wells smelled disgusting and were beyond filthy. The parking garage hallways smelled like urine! Everything is broken and they just ghetto rig it! Our ac didn't work the 1st night so they were replace it at 10pm but the water was all over the carpet and never vacuumed up or cleaned. Paint peeling on all of the furniture and cabinets. Seriously everything is freaking filthy here. You would expect something a little better! Overall if you are looking for a value and don't mind a dirty place where the elevators stink! Check out was super easy!
I am usually not one to judge a place, but in a matter of 3 days anything that could go wrong due to a hotel did. We arrived around 11:30 pm the night we first got here, it took over 30 minutes to get checked in, then another 10 just to get a luggage cart. The hallways are not air conditioned whatsoever. Then once we got to our room, it was not cleaned whatsoever, beds were unmade, it reeked of marijuana, trash cans were full, sheets were stained, we had to wait until almost 12:45 am before we got another room. the entire place reeks its honestly disgusting. And on top of all this, my fathers truck was broken into. All and all not a very family friendly environment I would not recommend.
