Rooms were clean and comfortable, however the hallways and the lobby had an unpleasant odor. Customer service was also lacking, but that is understandable for a business that literally cannot fail. Breakfast buffet was okay for the price, but don't order the 'orange juice'. Most importantly, the pools and jacuzzis were clean and the beach was beautiful.

I booked two nights off of Groupon and being a little nervous since I had no confirmation number, I called to verify they had my reservation. They did. Check in was easy. I arrived early and my room was not ready so they told me I could hang out by the pool and check back around 2pm. They even asked my preference on the floor. I went back at 2 and the room was ready. They gave me my keys and we went to room. Very comfortable, beautiful view. At 545am the next morning we were awaken to a knock on the door asking if we were there ?? The system showed we never checked in. Why could they had not waited until at least 8am ?? They told me they were sorry...just confirming we were there. We went on with our day....and returning from dinner with the kids begging to swim, I tired to get in the room and the keys were deactivated. I went to the desk and one person working so I waited in line for 18 minutes to get my key activated..because when they woke me up to confirm, they still never checked me in. We back to the room, with the kids sitting outside waiting to swim....and the key still didn't work. Back down to the desk!! This time I walked straight up to the desk and skipped the line. Everyone was very nice. Just thought the situation could have been handled differently. The kids loved the indoor pool and lazy river. I enjoyed the outside lazy river, just wish they had another or bigger outdoor pool.

Terrible in every way! :(<br/>The first room they assigned us was dirty with a broken chair & broken bath/sink drains. Then they assigned us a new room, but the TV didn't work & my 4 year old found a pocket knife in it. When we walked into the third room they sent us, there was already a family in the room! By 10:30 pm we finally got into the 4th room they assigned us (with a broken couch), but our 2, 4 & 5-year olds were so tired that we couldn't waste more time looking for a decent room. <br/>Also, they have a price guarantee on their website, and after i toldd the manager that the price for our stay was currently listed at $130 cheaper than what I booked it for, he told me to email him a screenshot of the price; then never responded back to my emails or calls!<br/>After we packed up & left, we realized that we had left our 6 new bottles ($180 worth) of wine that we had purchased on vacation in one of the rooms during our first night of switching 4 rooms. We called & emailed multiple times to try to get it sent back to us, but they never returned any of our calls or emails!

Great resort for family Spring break! My husband, son (3 years old), and I stayed at the Landmark Resort in March 2016. We got the one bedroom ocean front suite and it was perfect. It had all of the amenities that we needed and the indoor pools were amazing especially since it was a bit too cold to go in the ocean. We still took advantage of the beach front property though. We played in the sand and put our feet/legs in to appreciate the ocean. So many fun things to do in Myrtle Beach...perfect for families!!!

Very dated and dirty. Elevators were so slow. We had to wait for linens and pillows for the Murphy bed so finally my husband went to the front desk. We received them after midnight. We will never stay there again!

This was a great family friendly hotel. Very great amenities and the hotel was clean and staff was courteous. We will definitely be back! You never run out of things to do at all. And it was nice that it s covered to the parking garage. And very well worth getting the breakfast included package food was great!!

I was concerned after reading some of the reviews!
Pros:
First, Kristyn D and Agent Feitsia were phenomenal!
They both went up and beyond in getting us situated.
The cleaning staff was friendly and very accommodating. The towels were super soft!
The pools were clean.
On our last day, we were heading out to the beach and passed a boy about 5-6. Staff stopped him and asked if he was alone. The staff explained to him that he could not wonder around alone and walked him back to his room. We pleased they took this little boy's safety important.
Cons:
The hotel does need updating. You can see where they have started to paint and are in the beginning process of trying. The rooms where clean, but could use up to date beds, curtains etc.
Overall, we had a great time, and thank you to the staff who worked sooo very hard.

It's been a few years since my family and I stayed at the Landmark. We won't be back. The first room we were placed in was awful! It smelled of mold, there was no room to walk from the bed room through the kitchen area to the living area towards the balcony. For $300 a night we expected better. The lady at front desk was very nice and accommodating. She gave us a few key cards so we could look at other rooms. We found "one" out of the three that was decent. We had to call every day for fresh towels. And one of the staff members was very sarcastic towards my daughter about calling for towels. The main bedroom sheets were never changed during our seven day stay. The blankets were like burlap. The pools need work. The splash pool across the street had yellow caution tape around some of the toy water features. Two days in a row we went to eat at the "Shark Bites" grill by the pools and it was closed, because the cook didn't show up.???? Our third day, the shower quit working. We were told that we may have to move to another room. But the maintenance guy came and was able to fix it so we had "some" water coming out of the shower head. He was very nice. The crosswalk is a very nice feature of the hotel, but for the money.......its not worth it!!!

My friend and I absolutely enjoyed our stay at the Landmark. What we enjoyed most was the staff. Everyone was extremely helpful. They always had a friendly smile and all of them acknowledge you as you walked passed to ask if you would like any assistance. Great environment, our room was perfect for two people and wonderful access to the beach.

Love the landmark! Only hotel we stay at when we come to myrtle beach! Several pools, golfing, several hot tubs, and a small water park for the kids and adults. The rooms are nice but also very affordable! It's right on the beach!

My 2 stars are for the Sweet housekeeper we had and for the bartender who served our drinks. I was very disappointed wih our recent stay. My family and I stay at the landmark every chance we go to the beach. We have never had an issue with our stays up until this point. I surprised my mother with a weekend trip to Myrtle for Mother s Day, I brought along my entire family.

Upon arriving, check in was smooth as normal. It was when we opened the door to our hotel room, when the happy faces turned into a look of what is this ?!?!

From the burn mark on the floor, mold on the ac unit, broken door knob fixture, missing microwave peices, out dated bedroom tv, non working outlets, paint peeling off wall to the nasty channel guide paper.

We made the best of our stay by trying not to be in the room as much as we could. Sadly this will be our last time in this resort.

The rates were great for the room we were looking ...

The rates were great for the room we were looking for and for oceanfront view, but the thing that really irritated me was that after we booked the room, put our card info in, our money was taken off our card, so room was paid for in full....got to the front desk to check in, completed all paperwork and showed my id and my card and was hit with a $250.00 room deposit to be done by card only, the money is put on hold, once we check out and someone checks the room, they release the funds on our card, but will take anywhere from 3 to 7 days to access funds....and we couldn't cancel our reservation bc then they could refund us, but it could take up to 7 days to access those funds....so we had already paid $230 for our room, we couldn't afford to have that money refunded on hold and find another place to stay and have spending money and money for the work week once we returned home. So there needs to be a warning before making reservations to stay here that you will end up paying your regular room rate plus taxes and fees, then $250 more held for deposit....and there isnt even even cable or satellite offered in the rooms, its regular antenna tv.

We have been here for the week of spring break. I honestly don t have anything bad to say about this hotel. The indoor water park is so amazing and nice my kids loved it. The put put was fun and we played it twice. It was nice to not have to go somewhere and play it. There is a Starbucks on the property which is amazing in general. All around nice resort. I will definitely be back again.

Not impressed with this hotel, but will have to make the best out of it. If I had the option to give zero star I would. This Ocean front executive suite unit is so small. The setup is horrible, and this room looks like it hasn't been updated since this hotel was built. Ripped carpet...yes carpet in 2017, antique furniture, ancient drapes, dirty crevices, and a ripped bedskirt. The angle suite (cheaper) is a way better setup than this ocean front queen executive suite with full two size beds. Spent $474 for two nights...it's not worth it!!! The hallways and elevators (pissy) are a 1000 degrees. Oh and scary hallwaysI was told at booking that I could choose my room upon check-in and that was not true, instead I was stuck with this old cramped super small room. If I had the opportunity to move to another hotel I would've, because I was lied too. I would never stay here again or recommend this place to anyone. This room makes my skin crawl. I'm so disappointed. I want my money back. The owners of these units should be required to make updates regularly. I've given up on these beach hotels.

It's only our first night, but... we called about 1hr out to ask if it room was ready, way before check in, it was which was great but. We got here, got keys, got to room it wouldn't work; after 3 trips to the front desk from the 12th floor, they finally got us a different room. Other than that it's been okay.

Horrible experience. Especially during Bike week on Memorial weekend. This place and all up Myrtle Beach was loud, people cursing, playing loud music, and smell of weed every 10 feet. The hotel was disgusting. Elevators and hallway smelled like weed in almost every other room. The first room had popcorn ceiling fall on to the bed. That was room 1416. The manager was kind enough to move us to room 950. That room was disgusting. Pillows with saliva stains. Trash and empty cans behind the night table. You can tell they didn't wipe down because someone left their earing on the entertainment center.

Overall, I will never come back. The only thing they had going was the nice manager who is too good for this company. His first name is Sherman. I like Sherman. He handled business at the front desk. He was very professional and polite.

I have a recommendation for this place, tighten up. Get your priorities straight. Clean up or move out.

We love staying at Landmark Resort. Always clean, great service and staff.

We stayed during Christmas. We arrived Monday. There is a restaurant onsite. Tina was the only person waiting tables and bartending! She was most pleasant, smiling and happy to serve. I couldn't do it. However, she handled things swiftly and didn't skip a beat. We're really chill, a party of 10. She didn't panic but kept apologizing for her being solo. We're on vacation! No rush here. This started our trip off right.

I'd recommend calling to book your rooms. We booked in advance in March, but there was a computer glitch. We booked the 3 bedroom oceanfront penthouse, but got the ocean view instead. No complaints, the view is parking lot, city, and ocean views.

We discussed with front desk staff. We were credited $75, for food. The suite is nice and spacious.

Unfortunately, the master shower was cold. We had to run for 5 to 10 minutes to heat. You're on 15th floor, not at maximum capacity, so it was a bit chilly until it warmed up.

You will not be disappointed with the penthouse if you need the space. Another great stay.

Horrible experience. Started with our reservation....

Horrible experience. Started with our reservation. We made it and paid a deposit a month in advance. They called twice during that month to confirm so we were very excited/hopeful. We called on our way to the motel to confirm we would be there by check in time. They asked and we gave two room wishes. High floor and non-smoking. "Yes, yes... no problem", they said. Crowded when we got there... ok it's a holiday weekend. They handed us a room on the 5th floor. "We don't guarantee room location" ?? Ok, walked in and it was a heavy smoking room!! Arrived at 3:45p, check in is at 4p but they didn't have anything we requested. "First come, first serve" they said. "We are a convention hotel and we have a convention". At 7:30p we finally got a temporary room for our first night with a promise to move us to a non-smoking 12th floor room between 11a-12 the next day. 11a came and went, 12 came and went. At 2p we got our room. That is the first evening and half a day of our vacation gone...wasted! Tried to speak to a manager... he said "you got moved, that's all I care about"

Next, went to the in-house restaurant the first night. They had a menu posted at the door. When we requested something off the menu... we were told "oh no, that's for our convention... it's special meat" ??? It didn't say 'Convention only'.
The hotel staff lost complete control of the convention guests. The amenities (restaurant, pool, hot tubs, lazy river, game room) were overrun with yelling screaming rude kids and the parents weren't much better. Multiple elevators out of order! Bathrooms so small you couldn't shut the door for your knees!
It was awful! We will not stay there again!

Awful hotel and rude staff. Here is a list of things they could improve on:
Get rid of urine smell throughout hotel, clean pools, elevators that accommodate size of hotel, hire more staff (friendly), working atm, make check in faster, better parking, free breakfast, remodel entire hotel, working microwaves, more pillows and blankets, replace faulty lighting, better security, key access from parking to room, drug free environment.
Also, saw blood stained underwear laying outside past the pool. Overall cleanliness is not existent here. You couldn't even make put the writing in the pools from all the dirt and grime. Indoor pools were one reason we booked here and we never got in any of the pools because of the filth.
My 3 girls shared the sleeper sofa (ages 2, 3 and 9) and we discovered broken glass in it after they had already slept in it, thankfully, my girls were not injured. Water damage and disgusting smells throughout the so called resort. Keys wouldnt work one night for no apparent reason and other guests also reported being locked out of their rooms and having to wait over an hour to regain entrance. Need more security. Unsupervised kids knocking on doors and running off. No security in the overcrowded and distant parking garage. When we had a complaint or concern, staff responded with rude comments, attitudes and carelessness including one of the managers.
Ex: my husband called to report kids screaming in the pool one night for an extended period of time, spring breakers. Staff responded with " " no, theres not anyone screaming" basically calling my husband a liar. My husband had to threaten to call Police to get staff to go out for themselves.
Speaking of police....Police were outside the resort on the night we arrived and again a day or so before our departure for car thefts and fights. Did not have a safe feeling here and I wouldn't recommend this place to families or anyone for that matter.

I booked here for my family for a Valentine s vacation. I wasn t pleased when I walked in to inspect the room and my five year old pointed out a roach crawling up the wall. The room smelled like old mop water, the fridge was rusted all over, the sink had residue in it, and it really looked disgusting. They were pretty fast with getting us into a new room after I called and reported the roach. The new room smelled better and looked a little more updated. I m not sure what other kind of bugs are lurking but my daughter has several bites. That was our first and last time staying there.

During my recent stay at the landmark resort i was very dissatisfied from the time of check in until check out. I was told when i booked the rooms that they would try to have all the rooms close together. When we arrived each room was on a different floor none of them were together but the gentleman named Jamar at front desk did his best after about an hour and a half to get us as close as possible. We had in total 10 rooms and 8 of the 10 had issues. Some of the rooms had roaches, some had spiders, 2 of them had bed bugs, one had an issue with the toilet overflowing, and my 80 year old aunt couldn't bear the scent coming out of the kitchen in her room and had to move in the middle of the night. Although the layout of the rooms were really nice, we couldn't enjoy ourselves like we planned because of the issues that I've listed.

They apparantly confused my reservations with a previous one and it was a whole mess the night shift people were rude and careless they had me waiting 2 hours and end up putting me in a horrible hotel next to theirs where we got bit on our feet we couldnt get comfortable the room looked it outdated and nasty and the next morning I went back to check in again had to move all my luggage back and forth and they end up giving me not what I reserve&pay for so the whole time there instead of being on vacation we were just stressed out we usually go to myrtle beach 2 or 3 times a year and stay at landmark and mind you I booked the room last year but this definitely would be the last time unfortunately.... it wasn't worth the time or money!

Terrible!!! I d never come back to this place again. This place was literally like a nightmare for me. We had an awful view on the balcony, the room was too crowded and had bunches of wall looks ripped off or flooded from above and then out of the hallway during our second day to stay at this place the hallway floor flooded as we had go around the puddle. My partner and I was like wth is going on with this place?

You get even less than what you pay for here! We saw some negative reviews but thought maybe they just had a bad experience or were your normal complainers you see in reviews. But we were wrong. The room was ok, bed was clean so that was a plus but the couch was dirty with stains and hair. The bathroom had been recently remodeled but had a huge leak down the wall and the new tile paneling had already been discolored from the stain. The staff was grouchy so obviously not a good work environment. The pools inside were filthy, you could see the dirt and grime along the bottom & sides as well as things floating in the water. Multiple stairs into the indoor pools were caution taped off so you could t access them. So DISGUSTING we wouldn t even get in them. There was an outdoor lazy river that was all blocked off with caution tape, it was green and had a duck swimming in it. The water area for kids across the street was also gross with visible filth and I wouldn t even let my kids get in it. Almost no one used this area either. The large outdoor pool was much cleaner & luckily usable. Very disappointing to stay at a resort that prices itself on great amenities and being family friendly when those things are not even useable. The manager on staff was not helpful and when we complained about the rude staff & dirty pools we were told that it s been a busy week and they would have some one address the issues, he said a team was already working on cleaning the pools yet we saw no one clean any of them the entire 3 days we were there. We will not stay here again nor would we tell anyone else to stay here. You can find much better maintained places to stay with useable amenities & friendly staff for similar price.

I was very disappointed with the staff. We waited 4 hours on extra pillows and blankets. The staff was not necessarily rude but they were not available to help guests because they were so understaffed that they weren't't able to accommodate the guests. The check in lines and check out lines were very long. We were told to find pool staff to help us in lost and found I didn't see even one pool personel or staff the whole 4 days I was there. The pool area was nice and big and we had fun majority of the time however we saw a piece of poo on the side of the lazy river toward the end of our stay and were completely disgusted. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone until they hire more help.

After reading massive mixed reviews we decided to give the landmark a shot! Check in went ok. They accommodated our needs and put us in an easily accessible room. Thank you! The room was clean, updated and pleasant. However, we were right above the pool so there was a lot of noise from the people in the pool and the DJ. We actually enjoyed the high energy and excitement of it. So no problems there! We used the stairs to get to the pool area. There were always people waiting, and waiting, for the elevators. They seemed to be very slow. There were lots of pools! That s a plus and a minus though. I feel like they didn t receive the constant care they needed to be as clean as we would have preferred. We found something floating in the inside pool. I alerted the worker and it was immediately skimmed out. The outside pool and inside large pools were quite cloudy and just didn t feel very fresh to me. My kids still loved them. Across the street the women was so kind, warm and friendly! We loved her. Again the larger pool though was quite cloudy. The water park was very nice! The emergency alarm was triggered at 6am one morning. We were extremely frightened! To be woken up by a siren and an emergency evacuation on vacation was not fun. At all. Loved having Starbucks in the front lobby. The cleaner LeAnne was very nice and accommodating.

My family & I stayed at the Landmark Resort from 9/9 to 9/14. Was a pretty nice facility. Clean rooms, and nice pools. Not to mention it was ocean front. However, on our last day staying at the Landmark Resort there was a man standing nakes on his balcony, which didn't put off a good give. We did call security and it was all handled very quickly. They could stand o hire nicer pool keepers as well. My fave part about our trip was the ocean & pools. I'd recommend staying at the Landmark Resort to anyone, but people please keep an eye out on your babies. Stay in a pack.
