Was a nice place to stay. Everyone was very friendly and DJ Hurricane rocked the house and Magic Mike did a great job at the magic show. Had a great time with a great view. Thanks Landmark

Great lace to stay only problem was we stayed a week and could not get room service to clean the room. We went down to the main lobby to complain and still they never came up to clean or even take the trash out

If you are older this is NOT the motel for you, arriving 8/17/19, only two desk clerks working for a 500 plus room motel. 45 minute wait standing in line to check in, very long walk from garage to our room, elevator wait times were too long in garage and motel, inside elevators and hall ways were hot, steamy, puddles of water, and smelled terrible. We used the fire steps some and the area was unacceptably trashy. Impossible to find a luggage cart but another guest saw our frustration and personally brought the one he used to our room and that one should have been in the scrap yard. Our shower did not have any hand or grab rail, heard a gurgling sound from the sink when above floors used water. Next morning the sewer smell in hall and room were unbearable, so we moved to another motel. Will not stay here again.

We stay in this hotel at room #414. It does have enough space for the family, the pool and surroundings are great! the only thing that I really hate is the bedbugs! I found 2 bedbugs in the bathroom and 1 bedbugs in the bed, it's awful nasty, horrible and creepy, so please owner do something to resolve this bedbugs issue in this hotel.

We have stayed at the Landmark many times. It's time for a face lift. It looks like some room have been remodeled but ours is not one of them. The halls are in need of a paint job and rugs could be replaced. Nice place to stay just getting old. The pools and hot tub are not very clean. A ton o bugs floating in the hot tub outside. I watched to see if someone e cleaned it the next morning but nope still bugs. I paid over 900.00 for 4 night I don't believe we will be back.

Four stars because no place is going to be perfect or like home. :-) However, it was a nice place to stay with clean amenities and we were right on the beach with an ocean front view. It wasn't on the touristy side of town. Some of the previous reviews had me uncertain but if we go back we'll likely stay here.

Only complaint was the entrance to the side of the hotel to the pool area was ALWAYS open. Didnt care much for that...otherwise no problems.

Hotel not as nice as pictured. Very old and dated. Elevators are a nightmare. Not a good place to stay for the high price. You are paying for the view only. I have stayed in much nicer places for half the price. Can't sit only balcony with out smelling marajuana. This is supposed to be a non smoking resort.

Pros- it was on the beach, close to everything and the restaurants within the hotel aren't bad.
Cons- Our hotel room key wouldn't work on first try ever; we had to stand there for about 10+ mins to get the door to open. The beds have springs stabbing you in the back. Our room smelled like urine. Really crowded. All the pools were extremely cold (in July). Most days we had to park on the 6th floor of the parking garage. Hallways and walkways always had a fowl smell. It would smelled like urine, wet dog, poop etc.
Overall- I was told to come here because of a past experience but even that person said things are really different. I won't be coming back here...

Best stay I've had in MB! The rooms were so clean. The public areas (elevators, lobby, hallways) were so clean as well! I loved being able to see the ocean from my room (even though being on the 9th floor was kinda scary). I loved having direct access to the beach as well. Definitely will be staying here again next vacation!

Great resort with many pools and access to the beach. The carpets could use some cleaning but other than that our room was stocked with towels and the essential! Will be coming back next year!

I recently stayed at the landmark resort, let me start off by saying, this is no resort by any means. When we arrived to this so called resort they showed us a room, Room 245 to be exact we instantly fell in love and decided to check into the place. When we started to head back to the lobby for paper work she informed us that the room would consist of noise until 11pm due to the entertainment coming from the pool area, but, there was a room much similar to it on the 8th floor. Because we are vacationing with a 5 year old we went with what we thought the better option was, the room on the 8th floor. However when we arrived at our room it was a drastic difference. A comparison for 245 and 844 is the Hilton and a Super 8. We had multiple let downs with this room and decided to see if we could possibly switch to the room earlier shown, (we finally realized that the entertainment was nowhere near that room, it was more or less used for an excuse to get us into another room) we called the lobby and was informed that the room we were shown is a "show room." Later on through the week we received a "nice" visit from a roach, how lovely right. To my surprise this wasn't the last of them. We totaled a number of 9 roaches before the week was over with. Also, a little comment on the service. It was lousy, very lousy, if you would like for your room to be clean please do it yourself, that's the only way you will be satisfied. I am not very pleased with my stay at the Landmark Resort.
Update: We left earlier this morning and realized we left some of our items in the room and being in our home state now, it was much to late to turn around to go get them. We called the hotel and got stuck with a recorded message, the only way to reach them is if you plan to "make a reservation." Once we finally got connected to an actual person we were informed that they are still cleaning and have not seen any of our things, the lady over the phone was very rude and obnoxious.

DO NOT MAKE RESERVATIONS AT THIS RESORT! Me and my family made reservations at this resort for a week. It was our first time staying at the Landmark and the family was looking forward to this trip for six months. First of all the resort staff are very rude. Second watch your belongings in the room. Third the smell of weed and mildew is what you will smell at this resort. Finally make sure you check your credit/debit card you put on file with the hotal a couple of days after you check out because they will charge room damages to your card that never happen and never inform you about the charge. PLEASE DON'T MAKE THE MISTAKE THAT WE DID!

Great place to stay in the off season. Room was ok for the price. Multiple indoor hot tubs, pools, lazy river etc. Restaurant located on the lobby level. Might be a bit crowded in mid summer with over 500 rooms.

Laziest cleaning crew I've ever experienced, they take any excuse not to clean your room, then when we called the front desk and had them send someone to clean while we went to dinner all they did was take out the trash and move my girlfriends underwear. Roaches, horrible over priced food. I would never recommend this place to anyone

We stayed for 4 nights over spring break. Check-in was ridiculous. there must have been 30 people in line with 3 agents working the registration desk. I had already tried to check in 3 times throughout the day too... finally when I come back for my room to be ready, there were 30 people in line. Needlesstosay, I was angry. When we finally got into our room, there weren't any bath towels. Thankfully, we got them pretty quick. The room was somewhat updated... but it still felt dingy. Most of the common space in the hotel doesn't look to be maintained/cleaned, freshly painted or replaced. Doors falling off hinges. dirty windows... I felt like I needed chlorox wipes to carry around with me. There were NEVER towels available at the pool and if they were, there were about 8 and tiny towels. so be sure to bring your own towels. Staff was super friendly, but execution wasn't always there. I would not stay here again.

I don t think I ll be returning to this hotel, for 2 of the 3 days that we were there the indoor water park was closed. The hotel is dated, the halls smelled like mildew. The only good part was it was ocean front.

We were very disappointed with our stay at Landmark Resort. We got there late to check in and the front desk lady was very nice and helpful but that was the only highlight of our trip. When we got to our floor we were immediately welcomed by marijuana and cigarette smoke even though it is a non smoking resort. As we got to our room it got worse. There was a large ball of hair in the closet and the sheets smelled of human feces and there was some sort of green sticky candy stain on them. The outlet on the headboard didn't work and the room just appeared to be dirty. We decided to get out of the room and go check out the pool. The lazy river pool area was closed by the time we got down there but it seemed like it would be fun for kids or to relax, minus the carrot floating in the water. As we made our way to the outside pools we were greeted by several very large roaches probably due to the leftover food and drinks scattered about the area. After the pool we decided to call it a night and go back to the room. The layout of the hotel is a bit confusing. On our way back to the room we noticed several outside entries that were left open so anyone near could make their way in which seemed unsafe since the hotel sits next to a public beach entry point. I'm 6'2" and 195 lbs and around a few of the hallways and outdoor entries I didn't really feel that safe due to the open doors and dim/flickering lighting. If I felt unsafe I'd hate to imagine if I was a mom staying with my kids. We will not be returning.

Landmark has the potential to be a nice resort however, until they renovate their resort. I will be staying clear of this place. The pictures from the internet depict a cozy resort with water amenities and 17 pools for plenty of water fun More

I wish I could give this hotel negative stars. This is by far the worst facility I have ever stayed in I don t even know where to begin. Upon arriving we find half of the hotel is without electricity. The lady at the front desk said we already are aware there s no electricity, cable or wifi so no need to tell us about it. Here are your keys go to your room and see if that one has electricity and if it doesn t just come back down Shouldn t YOU ALL be the ones checking on the room for the customer not the opposite??
Our whole 5 days we spent walking through dark stairwells, dark hallways and elevators broken. I wish this was the worst part.
Every morning at 9am we were woken up by the house keepers being SOO loud out in the hallways. They were yelling at each other, loudly joking around and REPEATEDLY slamming doors. The walls are already paper thin here so don t expect to get any sleep. The beds are also by windows by the hallway. Stupid idea. The housekeepers kept us up, but that wasn t all! Someone drilling and hammering above our room at 9am! When I called the front desk I asked if they could have them wait for that kind of work as we were sleeping and couldn t sleep through that. She was so rude and said I can t just ask someone to quit drilling?! He didn t even start until 8am today like me wanting to sleep in on my vacation was a crime.
I still haven t gotten to the worst parts.
Every night we would go down to the beach around 11pm and walk through the pool area and every night there were HUNDREDS of cockroaches infesting the indoor and outdoor pool area. HUNDREDS. You couldn t even walk around them you had to walk through them or on them there s so many. Makes me wonder what their kitchen and storage areas look like. We refused to eat any food served here. Even in the coffee shop by the check in we saw bugs flying around in the glass area that holds the pastries. Absolutely disgusting. We ended up using the hot tubs at the condominium called the palace next door and not a single roach there and super clean. The roaches just flock to this grimy, dirty hotel.
I wish this was the worst part.
On our third day we saw all the pools and hot tubs were shut down. I then noticed the sign that the HEALTH DEPARTMENT shut them down! We used the lazy river and the outdoor hot tub a couple times before I actually realized how disgusting everything was and I m currently typing this with a rash on my chest and arm that I am sure came from these filthy pools. I will be going to the doctor and filing a report about this.
I WISH THIS WAS THE WORST PART.
One day while we were out the cleaning lady came to clean our room. When we got to the room the beds were made, new towels out and everything seemed fine. I noticed that the bathroom smelt vile though and I couldnt figure out why. It wasn t until later when I needed to throw something away in the bathroom I noticed the trash can had been pushed back underneath the sink and I pulled it out, went to throw something away and saw that the woman that cleaned our room left a huge bloody pad in our trash and then hid the trash can! I was worried this woman had a disease the way this whole bathroom reeked from her used feminine products!!!! I called the front desk told them I put the trash can outside our room but wanted the toilet and bathroom recleaned for fear of this woman s STDs/diseases. No one apologized, acted like this was strange, nothing. Just like this was a normal average problem???
This hotel is cheap, but it s cheap for a reason. Spend a little extra money and stay at the palace next door, which is SOO much nicer. Or invest a little more and stay in North Myrtle beach. This area isn t even a good area to be in and felt a little unsafe at times.
Your whole stay here will be dirty, cockroach infested, you might end up with a disease or sickness, loud, you can t get away from the smell of marijuana, don t expect to get any rest here. I sleep more when I m home working with a busy schedule than I did on this vacation.

We stayed in a two-room suite on the 15th floor. The view was fantastic, the room was clean, the kitchen had what we needed and the staff was great. Ample free parking, direct beach access, and tons of pools.

You get what you pay for. This isn't The Ritz - it's a somewhat dated beach-front resort. Everything worked, nothing was gross and we had a great time.

I'd stay here again any time.

This hotel is on a wide sand beach. It has several pools and is close to all the beach front attractions in Myrtle Beach. The prices are good and the staff is friendly. If you are not expecting a 'world class' resort, you will be pleased here.

The facilities could be cleaner and the entire facility is dated. All of Myrtle Beach feels a little dirty and dated to me.

Just its age. Upkeep on this place must be a nightmare. This is a middle of the road resort. More stuff to do in house for your kids. Nothing bad here just old and on the beach. Salt air isn't kind so consider this when taking in the place as a whole. Has an arcade. Pools. Beach access. Not over priced for the location.

My family and I really enjoyed staying the weekend here!.. & we will definitely be back! I loved that they had their very own parking garage right across the street and a safe footbridge to use to walk to the resort from the parking garage instead of having to cross over the busy road with small children & arms full of luggage.. Not to mention aaall of the amazing POOLS & HOT TUBS!

The staff and employees were great (4 star).

The staff and employees were great (4 star).
Caution: The cleanliness was pathetic, wife cried, didn't dare to order food and couldn't bare to use "heavily" soiled bed wear. Hall ways filthy, TV barely received a signal, out door lights burnt out. Toilet ran all night....... I will refrain on further comment.......doesn't deserve one star.

Hotel has kind of a musty smell inside, carpet everywhere with all the pools and the ocean I can't imagine this being very sanitary. Also the only parking is in a garage across the street, you have to park in the verge crowded garage find a place, go into the hotel and get a placard and then go back and put it on the car so it won't get towed.

Check in was horrible horrible staff at front desk including a manager was rude and acted like i lied about placing a call to them prior to check inn then when they pulled the call i was proved correct and did not get one apology will never go back to this place EVER rude people hall ways stunk so bad elevators ran so horribly only thing good i can say was the pools are nice amd the housekeeping staff was very friendly and helpful

2 Stars is very generous for this hotel. The only reason we are giving it 2 is because of the proximity to the beach. Saw 3 cockroach s by the pool, Staircases and many hallways smelt like trash and rotten eggs. Will NOT be coming back.

My husband & I went to the Landmark Resort for three nights just after Labor Day, because we have been there many times over the past 30 years, and the amenities (pools and hot tubs galore!) are great and even though it's an older hotel, it's usually pretty clean and the staff is always very friendly and helpful. Because of the Covid situation, this stay was a lot different- housekeeping only cleaned your room upon request (understandable), the restaurants were either not open or served a very abbreviated menu that was pretty bad, the main outdoor pool was closed one day because someone brought glass into the pool area and broke whatever it was, so they had to drain and clean the pool, and there were lots of guests ignoring the safety of others by not wearing masks inside the hotel and generally being loud and obnoxious inside and outside. The hot tubs looked unsanitary, so that was another one of my favorite amenity's that I didn't get to enjoy.. The quality of the bedding and pillows were substandard at best. Overall pretty disappointing

Water in the entire building was shut off at 10:30 pm due to ONE rooms sink leaking and remained shut off until 1 am toilets weren t even working. Went to lobby to find out what was going on spoke to 3 different people and given 3 different reasons for the water being cut off after waiting in line just to ask what was going on for 20 minutes. Elevators are barley working I had to stand and wait on an elevator with a crowd of people for 30 minutes with out air conditioner. Why have 4 elevators if only one is working? Definitely won t be staying here again!

Good location and nice amenities. Easy beach access and plenty of pool options. Staff is friendly and room is fine. Only issue we have had so far is check in was a mess. Huge line and lots of folks seemed to have issues with getting their room.

I attend a large group (500+) golf tournament each year in Myrtle Beach and this Resort was selected last minute as their sister resort The Crown Reef had incurred hurricane damage. That turned out to be to our benefit. This resort was great. It had a large bedroom with two double beds, a galley style kitchen with sinks, a stove, a full size refrigerator, and a large sitting area with a balcony overlooking the oceanfront. It was clean, the air conditioning worked perfectly...and the water pressure was incredible (never wanted to get out). Plenty of elevators, never waited long. Overall a great place for a week at the ocean and near everything we wanted in Myrtle Beach.

I am barely gonna give the 1 star honestly it looks nicer then it really is hallways smell like pure weed elevator is slow n stinks like mold.it takes so long to get checked in we had to get our keys reprogrammed 5 timed in 2 days housekeeping came inside our room while we was asleep on Saturday and Sunday no extra locks on the doors not safe at all the housekeepers and bell boys can come in at anytime rooms are ok need updates pools are over crowded and when u check in u have to give 100.00 deposit they dont tell u about over the phone i had to wait a hour and 27 mins Sunday after check out to get my money back it sucks i personally will never stay here again its not a place for kids really it smells like weed through the whole place and workers do not care when u tell them but if u smoke on the balcony u have to pay supposaly but the people on both sides of us was smoking weed the whole weekend and never got in any trouble it really sucked if u are ok with all the drama and stuff stay if u want a great time at the beach go elsewhere i suggest north myrtle beach they have places way more better and u will have a better time checking in and everything in general

Absolutely no stars if it would of let me!!! We went there over 4th of July, had the executive king suite!! The bed sunk in the middle and was like sleeping on box springs, told the front desk and they werent able to get us a new room till the next day. Recieved our new room which at least had cabinet doors, but bed was still like sleeping on box springs. From the time we checked in they kept trying to charge us almost $300 more then what we actually owed finally got it cleared up and told them we weren't paying due to our first night was with a bad bed, they agreed. We left the resort to find they still charged us for the first night plus the almost $300 we already cleared up we thought, called and talked to a manager she revearsed the charge. Got home to find they charged us once again the same amount, so now I am day 3 trying to get them to stop charging our card every day!!! I am now on hold for almost 30 min just trying to talk to someone. If I were you I wouldn't even try to stay 1 hour in this so called resort, at least dont pay the extra money to have the so called executive king suite!!! And yes to try and get anyone to answer a phone or talk to them in person you might as well sit down and wait, I feel we did most of our time waiting on a staff member to help us....NICE VACATION AND FIRST TIME AT MYRTLE BEACH...thanks for ruining it LANDMARK, we will never be back to your company!!!

Cheapest hotel we could find in the area for the Fourth of July. Check in was a breeze. We were given a discount card for places in the area and pool bands. Our room was clean, a little outdated, but clean and had a refrigerator, sink, dishes, coffee pot, and microwave. We had an amazing view of the ocean as we only booked an ocean view room. And where our room was we could see the fireworks from the boardwalk perfectly. We haven t tried the pools out yet, but plan to tomorrow! We called the operator when we arrived and inquired about regular coffee instead of decaf and they had us a whole bag up within 10 minutes. They allow smoking on balconies as long as the room door is shut. And they also offer activities for kids such as slime making and tie-dye! We literally could walk to Walmart and the parking garage was beneficial! We were right on the beach too if we walked just a couple of steps! Would definitely recommend and stay again!

My family and I drove 6 hours for a weekend get away and we regret choosing this hotel. Here's why...

The pictures are deceiving. The kid pool is actually located across the street from the resort. There are maybe 5 chairs for the entire kids area so it's not very comfy for parents wanting to sit and relax and watch the kids play.

The latitude restaurant is GROSS. We didn't eat our food and yet for 2 adults and 2 kids, we paid $68. My son ate a hot dog...we didn't eat the rest and was just told "sorry that we didn't like it."

The night time Manager Joey - he sucks. Hes so rude and his answer to everything is to just discuss with the daytime manager in the morning. I dont know how this kid has a job.

Prior to booking, I called the resort the ensure we had enough room with the room choice I was choosing. I wanted to make sure we had a pull out sofa in addition to our 2 beds. They dont have pull out sofas despite being told they did. So after getting in our rooms and unpacking, we had to pack up, pay an additional $150 and move to the 15th floor. Again, I dont mind paying the price to have the amenities that I want, but its frustrating to have to move again.

Now that we were unpacked again and after a day on the beach and ready for bed...our king size bed was broken. Its 11pm, our kids are finally asleep and the king size bed is caved in. Maintenance said he cant fix it tonight so we had to pack again, and move to a room on the 2nd floor.

Now that its midnight and we are moved to a new room, the TV isn't working and the music that's playing at the pool Is coming through the vents. Its 12am and the music lasted ALL day and night. So no sleep for 2 nights!! If you do stay here - dont accept a room on the 2nd floor. We called the lobby, security came to check out the music and did nothing. Infact Joey said to discuss with Jessica in the morning and she would be in at 9. I was in the lobby at 9am. Jessica had gone for the day already. The day time manager, who gets in at 9am, was gone for the day at 905.

If someone around you is smoking MJ, expect your room to smell like it to because that also travels through the vents. Again security and Joey didn't care.

Its check out day at 9am, housekeeping is knocking on the doors asking us when we plan on leaving. I politely informed her that check out is at 11am and we would be out then. She said she needed to get started on cleaning the rooms and proceeded to stand in front of our door until we left.

Also - please bring your own blankets!!! They were hard, and hair black curly hair on them. They felt disgusting.

I'm extremely disappointed in this hotel. I'm apparently not the only ones disappointed either as 3 others were complaining in the lobby as we were checking out.

Great experience just wish pools were legit heated and outside lazy river was roped off. :( but plenty of hot tub n pool options and a lazy river inside just make sure to get oceanview or you'll be looking at the heating units we had the ocean view plus they have beach access and moved us after room wasn't properly cleaned or stocked with the pots n pans and utensils you're suppose to get however they could look into updating the couches in extra room they were very rundown in both rooms we were in. Overall 4.5 so had to round up

DO NOT STAY HERE. PICTURES ARE MISLEADING! I walked into my room and walked directly back out to go to another hotel. The entire place, including the room, were filthy. The toilet in the room even had urine on the rim...By far the worst place I have been in my life.

This was surprisingly a great hotel! It is right on the beach, has a Walmart close by and very close to all of the attractions and food places. Inside is a water park and lazy river and has an outdoor pool and bar. Our room was very nice! We booked it on Groupon and were a little skeptical because of the mixed reviews but overall it was a great place to stay. It wasn t the cleanest in the lobby and indoor pool areas but what do you expect for a reasonably priced hotel right on the beach. I would definitely stay there again.

Is there anything less than a one star!?!?!? This "resort" is HORRIBLE! Fairly comical resort is even in the name. Landmark is a ran down, dingy, dirty overall disgusting place that I am ashamed to even admit that I stayed there. Fairly sure the Motel 6 down the road would have had a nicer room. The room was old, dated and disgusting. We stripped the bed just to ensure there were no bed bugs. When we did, we found a mattress cover with stains which look like were from food or something I really don't want to know. GROSS!!! When taking a shower, the pipes rattled to the point where I was fairly sure they were going to burst. Only good thing was the view. But we didn't enjoy that much as we didn't want to spend a moment in the unit or at the property. The ONLY thing going for Landmark are the people at the font desk. They were good. Couple of other award winning moments. Going down the stairwell, saw several cockroaches. Also the exit door to outside was stuck. Fairly sure that is against some sort of fire code. Speaking of exits, there are not clear signs on how to get the lobby, exits, or really anything. Lastly, might want to consider updating the pictures on your website as they done even come close to reflecting the dump is actually. Thanks for the experience that we will likely talk about for months to come.

This hotel is a great place to stay. Only bad experience was the toilet stopping up but when the problem was reported they (maintenance) was quick to fix the problem. I love all the pools . I would return again.

Would come back, but service needs to be improved.
Pros:
1) one of the best & largest indoor pools!
2) countless # of hot tubs
3) on site food options from breakfast to dinner priced affordably
4) outdoor lazy river is wider than in many other resorts, plus quite long
5) indoor lazy is twisty and longer than in many resorts
6) Room with inside (courtyard) balcony included Corelle dishes, mugs, 2 size glasses, cutlery, although it was not "efficiency" type of room (no stove, but mini fridge and microwave). This proved to be very useful!
7) Room with inside (courtyard) balcony is really bright and airy! I appreciated the light!
Cons:
1) Our first night we called twice asking for 2 extra pillows and 2 extra towels. Those never arrived. It was really hard to sleep with single pillow after my recent accident
2) Latitudes Grill told me they close at 11 pm, we came back from city hungry and tired 10:35, waited 10 min to order something to be taken to the room, then were told kitchen is closed. My husband says he won't return here because of this, oh well...
3) To open sauna hidden on a way to restrooms by the outdoor lazy river, you have to find pool attendant. Some of the staff was not aware what we are talking about. One grumpy attendant told us that it will close soon, it wasn't used while Day, so it will take a while to heat up. The sauna is tiny, the bulb was non-existent in the only lamp there, on top of that - there was a roach crawling on the seat!!! No need to say we ran away and never returned there!
4) Pool area has bunch of water bugs crawling around, especially in the evening. Was hard to enjoy the only time without excessive Day heat :(

We stayed here for our first family vacation for the kids' spring break. It needs cosmetic work from outside, but once you get inside its really nice. Rooms are OK. They have plenty play areas for the kids, water park, and puttputt. The only thing is there weren't towels when we got in the room. And on our last day it was a roach but we were leaving. overall I would stay again if they offered bigger rooms because I have a big family.

The only reason I did not give a 5 star rating is because the hotel is kinda old and it shows. HOWEVER my experience here was fantastic! The staff was amazing! The pools and hot tubs were awesome...pools could've been warmer but the set up is nice. The breakfast was good and my BBQ Hamburger at Latitudes was great! The off season rates are incredible!!!
