The hotel amenities are nice, the hotel itself is in need of some serious maintenance (not just cosmetic).

The pools and hot tubs were kept very clean, but that's it. The rooms had heavily worn furniture, obvious mold on the bath ceiling, and the beds were terrible. I had to check around for bed bugs bc this place gave me that vibe. Fortunately, no bugs, but we were granted a bunch of other unidentifiable debris. (Old food, cig butts, stained linen, and what appeared to be blood on the drapes) Eww.

Security officers are overly aggressive, and management isn't very good at managing. We ordered breakfast that was never received, and had a cleaning lady whom wasn't professional AT ALL! The staff is in poor shape to say the very least.

Above all, my family and myself had a personal experience with a few of the staff members that left us feeling very uncomfortable and highly offended.

We will never return to this "resort".

I would give zero stars if I could. This place started our trip off horribly. The landmark has bed bugs and mold on the mattresses. We checked in at 2. They said we could check in early. We waited 2 hours for a luggage cart and finally got to the room. We set all of our luggage down and situated so we could site see for a bit until we came back to the room. Our son was tired so he layed down to sleep. As I was getting ready to go to bed I saw a spot on the boxspring that looked odd so I checked it out. It was a huge spot of mold. Approximately 2 feet by 3 feet of an area. I then was curious about the top mattress so I pulled the sheets back and saw bedbugs!!!! I also saw a blood spot on the mattress as well. It was the size of a basketball. So gross!!! We told the front desk and they told is they were moving us to another room and to keep this hush hush. We arrive at the other room and it was the same thing...bedbugs and mold. This room was 2 floor below where we were. The indoor pools were filled with so much chlorine that even just walking in to the room our eyes were burning. We did not swim at the pools. Also, the lazy river they claim to have, nobody will go in because its so dirty. It doesnt look like they've cleaned it in months. They gave us a $75 food card to try and make up for what happens but would refund us our money. We left and went to The Palace which is right next door. The Palace was amazing! Definately stay there and NOT the landmark.

My family and I have stayed at this resort twice and we have enjoyed ourselves very much! This last visit I left the bathroom bag with the health and beauty products in the bathroom on the counter we didn't realize until we got home ofcourse. I called landmark and guest services made sure to get me in touch with the person who had my bag they mailed me the bag right away! I just got it now from the mailman I was so excited because us women know make up can add up anyways.. one thing is missing my husbands cologne!:( Oh well I don't know if I just be very upset or just be happy we got everything else back. Thank you landmark!

Checked in and the room was not clean. Not vacuumed, no towels, sheets rolled on the dresser, bed not made, surfaces not wiped from previous occupants. There was cup rings and weed flake left on the table. Bathroom not cleaned, sink not wiped down. Do not stay at this disgusting roach motel.

This place was horrible. The sheets were clearly not cleaned when we arrived and when we complained they said they would send someone to change them. No one ever showed up. The hallways smelled like raw sewage, you literally had to hold your breath because it was so bad. It was disgusting and we ended switching to another hotel the very next day.

The hotel isn't the modern type if that is what you are looking for. Bedrooms are ok nothing fancy but not the worst. Breakfast at the hotel is like a high school breakfast bar. They have a nice indoor pool area I enjoyed it and there are plenty of pools so it doesn't feel crowded. I would stay here again. They also have a Starbucks which is great

I haven't even been here for 12 hours and I am utterly disappointed and disgusted with this hotel. Room is outdated and was dirty when we got here (someone's panties were left on the floor behind the wall-bed). The floors are discusting, and the towels left in the cabinet over the toilet were haphazardly stacked so when we opened the cabinet, all of our washcloths immediately fell into the toilet. The elevators are painfully slow and hot and there are no signs indicating where the stairwells are if you're willing to make the climb up or down. Unlocked utility closets everywhere.

We were not given parking passes or wristbands for the pool and basically had to argue to get them even though we paid for them. The parking garage is terribly cramped and difficult to drive through.

Staff has no idea what the hell is going on, there are people running around here playing innapropoate music on portable speakers in the elevators and hallways, and a fight almost broke out inside an elevator. This place is utter trash and you are better off spending money elsewhere.

Hotel needs updating and we had to changes rooms because our first room had a smoke smell. Hotel boast numerous pools, but all the ones we visited needed a serious cleaning. Spoke to manager on duty but never received follow-up from upper management.

We won't be going back cause it was soooooo hot inside the resort and no resort should be that hot! When you'd step inside the elevator you would melt! It was miserable.. the resort wasn't that bad except miserably hot.. and it's much different than the pictures. wasn't that bad but everything was spreaded out and very difficult to figure out which elevator took u where.. but the rooms was not bad at all.. we was on very top ocean front.. beds was lil small was clean!

Great location and the staff was very helpful. Loved our view! Could walk directly out to the beach from the ground floor and the indoor pools were nice and warm. Not enough tubes for the last river but people were just using their own. WiFi didn't work when we first arrived but it was addressed within 2 hours and worked the rest of our stay. Room (king executive suite) was perfect for 2 adults and 2 kids. Would highly recommend!

The hotel is a dump the hallways smell bad it was not worth $180 a night at all. The only thing good about this resort was the shower. I would never stay here again unless they tear it down and build it over.

We stayed here for a few days and absolutely loved it. From check in to room service it was top notch. The pools were amazing both inside and out. The gentleman who checked us in made sure we knew how to navigate the hotel with out issues. All the kids loved the pools, arcade and location to the beach. The connected parking garage across the street seemd very well lit and secure. Will stay here again.

The staff at check in and the mini golf are very friendly. The pools and hot tubs were great. Nice access to the beach. The rooms are VERY dated, and the beds are not comfortable at all. Bring your own blankets unless you want to fight with hard scratchy ones because that is what the hotel supplies you with. We had to call to get our room cleaned and the cleaning lady moaned and grummbled the entire time she was cleaning which was extremely odd. Do not waste your time and money on the breakfast. It was not good, cold, and not a lot of selection. The coffee was terrible. If you are not in to accommodations then I would say this is an okay place to stay for a couple of days, but if you want a nice hotel the look at other options available.

This place is not too bad for the price. Online the pictures seem to look amazing but inside they are not as nice as they seem.

The room are a good size you can easily fit a family of 6 with all the beds and couch and pull out beds in the wall ( even though they seem a bit dirty with the wall and all)

Room service for that size resort is ok when you consider the size then it makes sense why it is a bit slow.

Now lets get to the good. It is right on the beach a perfect spot to be some views are not too good but if you get a beach view its worth it.

There is a nice pool below and towels and more so if you love water this is your spot.

Did not eat the food downstairs but there is a Wal-Mart within walking distance and other restaurants near by.

Overall its a good place to rest your head Customer service is ok and room size is ok just needs to be a bit more clean over all. But I saw now bugs so that is good.

The crosswalk over the road is awesome since you dont have to deal with the busy traffic. Staff is friendly and the housekeeping does their thing every day. Some rooms are better than others, being privately owned, you dont know what you get until you get your room. We wanted a higher floor so that's why we didnt bother to ask for another, but I'm sure they would make sure you are happy. The oceanfront rooms can be a bit of a walk to the parking lot but since you dont have to worry about traffic or rain that isnt a big deal. Overall awesome hotel. If you can get a good deal on the breakfast then go for it. It's not big, but its buffet and will get you energized for the day ahead. Pools are awesome and there are plenty of hot tubs. Been here two years in a row and next year will probably make it three!

Overall nice, comfortable, and lots of pools (most were heated and all were functioning) for us and our kids (aged 2 -11). Room size was decent, clean, and furnishings were in good shape. Variety of scheduled activities that are entertaining. Not that crowded this year; pool chairs still a little hard to come by- better than some other places tho. However, the building is showing its age, outdoor carpet is worn out and in bad shape. Onsite restaurant is overpriced (even when compared to other nearby resort restaurants) for the very slow service and mediocre food. Breakfast bar is even worse; food is terrible - definitely skip this add-on option. Kitchen sink in room was clogged. Outlet for bedroom AC was detached from the wall, it held by the wiring. Everytime it started to rain ALL pools are closed, even indoor ones, whether it is lightening/thundering or not. Housekeeping skipped us twice; ran out of toilet paper and towels (on the bright side, management was polite and quick to fix this without any hassle). overall not bad / worth it - you get a little more than you pay for, just not a lot. I recommend anyone to try it out - you mileage may vary.

I enjoyed my stay at the Landmark Resort. The rooms were clean and very beautiful. The pool area is clean and very family friendly I just wish the staff was as well. When I went to check in I had a very long wait to check in. No one apologized for the long wait or the lack of urgency. The gentleman( Joseph) that waited on me for check-in was anything but gentle. I had a couple of questions about my accommodations and he was very dismissive, short and flakey. Also I reserved an ocean view room but I got a room in front of a brick wall all I could see was the roof of the pool and the other side of the hotel. If it wasn't for the fact that I only had a short stay I would have asked for my money back. Great facilities poor hospitality.

NOT WORTH THE MONEY!! The Bed mattress was SHOT. The shower curtain rod was barely holding to the wall. The air conditioner had a half inch gap and let freezing cold air Pour into the room constantly. Housekeeping would literally Not Leave The Room until they were given a cash tip. Access to the pools was blocked for "construction". Access to the parking garage was blocked as well. And when we did gain access to the indoor pools, the chlorine gas in the air definitely was toxic.
SAVE YOUR MONEY and stay at a 2 star hotel.
At least you'll get your money's worth.

When we first got there, they had double booked us. They gave us an upgraded suite and a breakfast coupon to make up for it, so that was nice. The entire place smells like pot. Other than that the room was great and was a good stay.

The underside of two of the three pillows on the bed were covered in fungus. No one at the front desk answered so I took them downstairs. She had the nerve to act like this wasn't an issue and asked if we needed new pillows?!? Was I supposed to go without or take those nasty ones back?! She simply came back and said someone will bring new ones to the room. I just walked away. Unfortunately, the kids were laying on them before my husband saw the mess!!! I wish we could attach pictures to this review.

Born and raised right here at the beach; this is a great resort option on the south end of Myrtle Beach, very close to a lot of local attractions both wild and man-made. Amazing views from the ocean, and amenities for the family. Clean rooms and friendly staff. Very affordable during the winter due to the indoor, heated, water options!

Definitely worth it.

Big hotel with a lot to offer. Multiple pools indoor and out. Unfortunately the lazy rivers were shut down for Covid. There is a restaurant and bar, didn't look great but it's convenient. Arcade room, fitness, laundry, Sauna (closed for Covid), they say there's a putt putt course too, never found that but didn't ask. It is a large hotel. Staff was fine, showed up around 9pm and was in my room within 20 minutes. The parking garage with the over the road "skywalk" was very convenient. The hotel was not very full as it was off season. Elevators were numerous and little or no wait time. One was broken and shut down but not an issue.
The rooms were acceptable, bed was comfortable and large enough. Showers provided ample hot water. Oceanfront balcony was great. The couch was too small though for even one person to lay on while stretching out their legs, kind of odd and annoying. Impossible to watch TV with my wife and I on the couch because it was love seat size. Kitchen was stocked with adequate utensils and cutlery. AC worked fine, two units one on the balcony and one by the front door. It was more than sufficient at cooling the room.
The biggest gripe was the cleanliness, the floor of the room was littered with dust and who knows what else. Walking around barefoot you were sure to have it on the bottoms of your feet. The balcony carpet had debris stuck to it and a beer can pop tab. Bathroom was adequately clean, however, as were the beds.
The pool area especially the indoor pool area was lacking in cleanliness. We actually did see a few cockroaches at one point. There was a dead one floating in the shut down lazy river for several days. What kind of hotel doesn't have someone at least strain out a large dead cockroach floating in a shut down lazy river?
But we still used the outdoor pool and hot tube which were nice, although also a bit dirty. A few hairs floating in the pool, but I've probably swam in worse. The indoor area was nice but the cockroaches grossed my wife out too much so she didn't want to use the indoor pools.
Price was fair, location was excellent just far enough from Ripley's to avoid most of the madness and sketchy after dark activities.
Not sure I would come back were I too visit again but I'm not totally opposed to it either. Overall pretty good hotel for the price, great for kids because of all the pools. We had a nice time.

I was waiting to write a review till after we checked out, but I can't wait no longer. This place is horrible! They have elevators down, they've been down over the past weekend and it takes forever to get from one place to another. When we got here the indoor pool, lazy river, hot tub area smelled like sewage. They shut the indoor pool area off for two days, because whatever was causing it to smell like sewage started leaking into the pool from the ceiling, I should have taken pictures, but very seldomly do I carry my phone on me while I'm on vacation. They have the pool area back open now but I'm not swimming in there and I'm not letting my kids either. The hotel was lying to some of the guests and telling them somebody broke a glass bottle so they had to shut it down, you could see the ceiling collapsing above the lazy river! Our vent in our bathroom doesn't work, the room is small and we paid for a suite, I spent $2,300 for eight nights! We paid for a suite because we wanted a kitchen, the kitchen sucks! The fridge and freezer don't want to work, the washers and dryers in the laundry room are old and it's hot in the laundry room! In the middle of washing clothes the change machine ran out of quarters, so I had to go to the front desk and make change, she acted like I was an inconvenience to her. We are not staying here again! If anything else happens between now and check out on friday I'll update or post photos.

Been going to the Landmark for over 20 years. They could step it up a bit on the housekeeping. I go for the beach not for a fancy room but, I do like my clean towels daily and my trash picked up. Went in 2017 in August and said I'd not go back but, gave it another shot this past weekend. The outdoor pool was heated and felt really nice. The kids pool inside wad not heated and my grandson was disappointed so I think that would be nice to have that heated this time of year. I know things are different because of covid 19 but, still feel that the service could be slightly better. I have made so many memories here over the years with my children and am hoping to make them with my grandchildren. Depends on the next stay hopefully it will be better. Treat your customers good and you'll always have a good business.

Bad experience! The hotel room was extremely outdated. The hallways smelled bad and were not clean. The elevators made our stay completely miserable. We were staying on the beach but it still took us 20 minute to get on the actual beach. The elevators took forever each time and often after waiting 10 minutes or longer one would show up and it would be full. Extremely frustrating. The ice machines were out of service all week by our room and we had to go floor to floor looking for ice which took forever with the elevators. Couldn t enjoy my ocean front balcony view because it constantly smelled like someone was smoking weed. We had to move rooms and were given breakfast coupons but after a morning in the breakfast restaurant, we didn t go back. The food was subpar and not worth wasting our time going down there. Also, we could never get a chair by the pool. They were constantly being reserved by towels no matter what time we checked there was never a chair available, despite the signs displayed saying chairs were not to be reserved and that the towels would be removed, they were never removed. We tried to eat at the latitudes restaurant for lunch and we sat there waiting for 15 minutes and no one ever came to us. There wasn t a single staff member in the whole dining area or bar despite several people waiting to be served so we left. We went to the outside area to eat lunch hoping to use our 10$ off food credit that we got as a promotion. After ringing up our food we were made aware that we couldn t use this coupon without going to the front desk and asking for a coupon card!! This was extremely frustrating because we were not aware of this and every time we went by the front desk the line was very long. Which brings me to another point, upon check in, we were informed that a pipe burst in our room and we d have to stay in another room but that this room was an upgrade for our trouble. However this was FAR from an upgrade, it was the exact same room except it had 2 bathrooms which we didn t need because it was just the two of us and it had double beds instead of the king. We specifically reserved a KING oceanfront for a reason. We were given the previously mentioned breakfast vouchers for our trouble which we did not use after the first day. We had to move all of our stuff to the room we did reserve the next day. We were told we could check in to the new room between 11&2 so at 1230 we stood in line for 30 minutes only to be told our room wasn t ready and they would call us when it was. We were called at 330pm. The website makes it look like a really nice and fun resort. It hardly meets the qualification for resort. The lazy river was a simple circle indoor and outdoor. They do not connect. The pool was very small and always crowded. We were on a family vacation and booked 10 rooms at this hotel. Almost everyone had similar issues especially on check in. My uncle was given a room that was occupied upon his entering the room. My parents reserved the pent house and were forced to bring up all of their luggage and items by hand as they were informed there is only 1 bellhop and the rolling carts were around somewhere . This is a family who drove 20 hours from Massachusetts to relax on a family vacation only to be met with stress and a trashy excuse for a hotel. We also met people in our elevator excursion that told us when they checked into their room that they found hair everywhere and feces in their bathtub! We are a very fun and generally forgiving family but the way the front desk handled this was unacceptable. We were met with rude attitudes and no one ever apologized for anything, instead making it out to be our fault and gave off the vibe that we should be thankful to them for staying there. This stay was not at all cheap and we will not be returning nor do we recommend staying there.

We have been coming to Myrtle Beach for 10 years now and have stayed @ a lot of different places but this by far was the worst will never stay again...it is NOT cheap ..it is Very outdated our couch was so nasty we had to put a sheet over to even consider sitting on then when u did u sat on the floor ..when asked for a different one was told homeowner has one ordered which is awesome but does us no good now ...room smelled musty ..and shower did not work well ..only thing that was good our air conditioner worked very well...the pools were very outdated too ..not enough pools outside ..the lazy river was nice because in the heat of day it was shaded...didnt teally care for the kiddy pools to be across the street ..

They charged me for 3 extra nights that I did not book and it took them weeks to put the money back into my bank account. The financial managers were very mean to me and treated me like I was stupid. The woman actually started making fun of me on multiple occasions by calling me ma am and saying that I was acting like a girl. After I had told her many times that I am a male and I have a very masculine voice. I called them more than 10 times and spent hours on the phone trying to get my money refunded. The worst experience I have ever had staying anywhere and that s pretty bad considering I travel for a living.

ROOMS ARE IN NEED OF UP GRADES, AND REQUESTED ROOM ON A LOWER FLOOR FOR MY MOM WHEN I MADE THE RESERVATION AND ALSO WHEN I CALLED BACK TO CONFIRM MADE THE SAME REQUEST. AT CHECK IN TIME WAS INFORMED NO ROOM WERE AVAILABLE ON A LOWER FLOOR. Stopper in tub was broken asked for it to be fixed never showed. Asked room attendant for a blanket said I would have by end of day guess the end of the day never came cause I'm still waiting. Staff was friendly just need to manage guest situations better!

Havent even started our vacation and I'm already barely giving a 1 star. Prior to coming here, I purchased Visa gift cards to pay for our vacation and expenses. I get to the hotel only to find out that a Visa gift card cannot be used because it doesnt have my name on it. We don't have credit cards (I don't like them) Thank God I at least had one card on me! Horrible! We just drove down from Ohio. In today's day and age of credit card fraud I didn't want to have my debit card stolen, so we didnt bring anything with us, thinking that a Visa gift card would be fine. WRONG!! Way to ruin a vacation!!

Ok so the place isn't so bad... if it was 1959! I guess it's bad enough myrtle Beach is the branson Missouri of beaches. But landmark resort smells like a mixture of feet, sweat and human sebum. The beds in the two bed bedrooms are supposed to have full sized beds but I'd be lying if I didn't tell you they're actually twin size. The food there is garbage don't eat it. A lot of drunk people around the hotel beach. Kids pissing in the pool. If you wanna have any fun being here, just rent some scooters and drive around doing the best you can to Stay out of the actual hotel. If you're in a hurry to get to your room be prepared to climb the stairs because the elevators take about 10 minutes to get to you, and when you're finally in it you have to share your personal space with farty old ladies and the carnies that are also visiting. overall I'd give it 3/5 just because I lowered my expectation as we were entering the beach town.

Terrible experience. People were smoking drugs you could smell in hallways and on balcony. One elevator was broken. Our last night there the person in room next to us ended up getting arrested for fighting. We heard commotion and cops as well as workers from 11pm until 3am in the morning. This was our last night and we didn't get any sleep before our long ride home and the manager said it wasn't her problem it was a third party incident. As far as the pools go there were other children that took all lazy river tubes into big pool so there weren't any for river. It looks mnice in pictures but please save yourself from a bad experience and book somewhere else. April 2018

We chose to stay at the Landmark resort for a danc...

We chose to stay at the Landmark resort for a dance convention. We wanted to be in the same building as the dance classes. Check in was a 2 1/2 hour wait in line. They were not doing accommodating those in line in any way.
When we finally got to our room the toilet did not work. Maintenance was not on duty so they sent someone who told us we needed to take the lid off the back of the toilet and adjust a lever every time we used the restroom. The manager did come up and attempt to resolve the problem on his own after I told him that was NOT happening but the problem continued the next morning. Once the toilet was ok the shower stopped working.
When I got the bill there was a $15 per day resort fee. For what? Half of the amenities are seasonal. The game room had 8 games, 4 of which were out of order. The only way to use the games in the game room is to put money on a "fun card". The only way to add money to the fun card is $5 or more. So if you do not watch what you are doing you end up with $0.50 on your card that you cannot use unless you add another $5 and calculate as your using the card. There was also a $6.33 credit card fee for paying with a credit card. I dare say 90% of hotel guests pay with a credit card so I don't understand why there's a fee.
Our room was decently clean (except for the towels) but we had several families leave due to filthy rooms (trash that hadn't been emptied, repair parts laying on the counter, dirty floors) and roaches in rooms on the outside portion of the resort.

Landmark is a great place to stay on and off season. I purchased the room on groupon on the off season for one night. hotel was very clean and nice looking. the room we stayed at on the 5th floor had a little kitchenette with a small refrigerator, microwave, cabinets, and sink. also great for kids because it has an outdoor Waterpark in the center of the hotel. overall we would go back again for a vacation.

No soap to wash dishes with. No soaps in bathroom. No toilet paper or tissue in bathroom. Refrigerator doesn't close all the way. Carpet stained bad in front of air condition unit. Elevators suck. 2 broke down and one stops on almost every floor even with No one there. 2 of their hot tubs aren't hot at all. Others needing cleaning. Little outdated room that could use upgrades. The staff was extremely friendly though.

Make sure you get an OCEANFRONT view. The view of the ocean is the only reason to stay here. If you get stuck on am interior or side room all you see is the lazy river or the next hotel. Foot the extra $$$ to get the Oceanview rooms.

So this hotel has the potential to be great - or maybe it was once great. I m not sure. Pools everywhere - right on the beach - friendly service. However, it s run down. Everything is old and outdated. There are baby roaches crawling all over the indoor pool areas which was creepy. They have all these large metal fire doors that have to stay closed but they have nothing on them to stop them from slamming so all you hear all day and night is doors slamming everywhere. The walls are Super 8 motel thin. Like I m in this executive suite but I can hear my neighbor talking about their breakfast. The luxury executive suites are long spaces with furniture crammed in. Mildew ridden outdoor carpet on the balconies and in the halls for the outdoor suites. Elevators sound like they may die any moment. It s just not clean and like I said above - everything is either outdated and worn or just cheap. You feel like your in what was once a luxury hotel in 1964 and hasn t seen an update since except a few stoves they bought from the resale shop. I wouldn t come back to be honest.

Stayed at this hotel the weekend of 2/22/19. The staff was very attentive and pleasent. I did not enjoy the room so much, the view was awful, the hallways smelled, and the bed was terrible. My son however did enjoy the pool and the bar/restaurant was awesome. Also I am still waiting on my $100 deposit to credit back to my card after three days.
