This place is very swanky, gorgeous bar on the 4th floor, rooftop views are incredible and the front desk lady, Heather was so helpful and accomadating when I needed my bags stored and directions around town!

It was terrible. There were extremely long waits whenever we asked for something. Our room wasn't set up when we arrived. It had no toiletries, robe or slippers. There was something wrong with virtually every aspect of our stay.

The service is amazing and friendly, and the room took our breath away. The location is perfect for sightseeing. We're minutes away from all the hottest restaurants and clothing stores.

Whether that is 5 stars I do not know. The situation perfect for first-time offenders. All subways nearby Breakfast is really a joke there.
Presumably there is better environment. 5 star nevertheless because of early booking the price of a three star hotel paid.

Easy to find hotel at Time's square. Quiet rooms offer a lovely respite from the busy shuffle down on the streets. Staff here was very happy, efficient, and took time to talk to our kids and not treat them like they were extras along for the ride. The rooms were clean, very modern, and accommodated a family of 4 easily.

Excited to book this hotel until a construction crew adjacent to hotel decided to use a jack hammer from 6 to 8am and then leave construction site for the remainder of the day. Walked around the rest of the day pounding coffee to stay awake in my meetings. Otherwise the rooms are nice, clean and modern. If you want to feel well rested be warned. According to front desk the crew is doing work next door and they dont control their schedule.

Rooftop place is quick to get to. Leaving aside overpriced drinks, mediocre views and finding good wait staff is often by fluke, my rating goes towards high convenience in the middle of TSQ.

The Knickerbocker Hotel was a premier hotel in the heart of New York City. The location was great (W42 and 7th) within 2 minutes of Times Square. The rooms were clean and extremely modern as well as equipped with the best of TV, beds, ECT. Service was great and was always curtious and punctual. All in all the Kinckerbocker was a great hotel.

My husband and I had a 4 day stay at the Knickerbocker Hotel. The accommodations were first class. Minor room issues with the television. After 3 days the issue was resolved. The hotel is a block away from Times Square. The roof top bar gives you an excellent view of Times Square. The hotel is walking distance from Broadway. The rooms, the location and the service provided by Mr. Saye Kokeh, Rooms Division, makes this a must stay hotel. The property is newly renovated and we highly recommend this hotel. You will not be disappointed.

Second time in the hotel but very disappointed this time. Location and room is nice but service is extremely poor. It took more than 40 minutes for the luggage to be sent to the room despite we called three times asking for it. Front desk is not even picking up the phone after our first call so the call goes direct to the conceirge. We almost just go downstairs and bring it up ourselves. It is only one small carry on luggage! And they constantely told us it is on the way which still took 15min after that was said. Moreover, the complementary bottle water is missing when checked in and it also took additional effort to get it. Whats more, this is the only hotel ive ever lived that offer only ONE piece of writting paper in the room each day!

Absolutely the nicest hotel we've ever stayed at, hands down. From the very modern, comfortable room with lots of automation and amenities to the amazingly attentive staff, this is a destination I would heartily recommend to anyone visiting the Big Apple.

Quite pricy, had the charcudery plate and two flatbread pizzas. They were well presented, but one of the flatbread cane out significantly later than the others and wasn't too impressive. They were totally empty, even on a Friday night.

Great space near Times Square, a bit of a hidden gem. One area designated for cigar smoking. Drinks & food were pricey - two beers and an order of sliders (two) cost $45 including an 18% gratuity preemptively added to the charge. The server properly disclosed that prior to signing.

Vary nice place for anybody to stay close by time Square. I like this hotel so much. By the way, I don t know the name of the DOOR MAN, He is very very greedy. He charged $10 to my driver as a gratuity while I was way to JFK around 5:00am on 01/17/18. Though I gave him good tips. Management should take a care of it.

Fun, cool spot in all seasons. Check out their rooftop in summer. Grab coffee and a bite at Jake's. And they say the martini was perfected at this location's Charlie Palmer. My top 5 Times Square area hotel and dining experiences. Ps. Be prepared to spend...this place is not for the value seeker.

Excellent modern rooms, helpful but unobtrusive staff, and an upscale elegant feel make you forget the nearby chaos of Times Square. I booked a group of rooms for a business meeting and the process was easy while my guests were happy. Win win. Rates seemed like an excellent value. I would definitely book again.

The rooms were fine but the service is poor. Asked to have our room serviced three separate times and was finally finished at 830 pm. Compensated us with free breakfast and one free dinner. Definitely not five star service very disappointed.

We were checking in to the Hilton next door and the doorman, Chester, of the Knickerbocker hotel scratched my car! He came walking up and smacked the side of my five month old BMW X5! When I rolled the window down and told him not to touch my car, he said touch this piece of s***? Meet me outside tonight on the street and see what happens . I am still in utter shock. I immediately grabbed someone from the hotel staff. Two security employees, Malik and Yasan, who were not helpful by any means. Their lack of care or interest in the situation really concerned me. I asked for their manager and Malik said he was busy upstairs. I then asked for Yasan to call him down and Yasan said he was not there. They continued giving me the run around. I then asked the front desk employee to give me the name of the head of security and she said his name was Bradley. When I asked Yasan and Malik again to call Bradley they told me they couldn t. I asked for a report to show I had this interaction with them for my insurance company as I plan to press charges and file a claim and they told me they do not create any sort of reporting for incidents. I am so grateful I did not book this hotel but instead booked the Hilton. I was so close to booking it when I was searching for a hotel near Times Sqaire for our vacation. Safety is the LEAST of their concern. I will be reaching out to their upper level management as well but wanted to voice my concerns here too! Please do yourself a favor and stay away. Their name may sound reputable but they are a complete joke!

Went for drinks with my girlfriend on the rooftop, with some help from some of the staff members we were able to use a corner booth and I proposed! The Knickerbocker was instrumental in the success of my evening and I could not be happier with them. Thank you!!

Terrific boutique hotel with such an awesome location - Wholefoods and Bryant Park only seconds away, and just across from the hubbub of Times Square. W42nd St station literally next door.

We had an absolute blast at the Knickerbocker. Location could not have been better. Staff could not have been friendlier. In room dining could not have been tastier. Can t say enough great things about this hotel. I wish I remembered the door guys name. The tall guy With a beard. Absolutely awesome person who made us feel welcome to each and every time we came back. Thanks everyone you will see us soon. The Overchucks

My husband and I are leaving an anniversary weekend. I grew up in Jersey, so I have been to NYC many times. Hands down, The Knickerbocker was the best hotel stay I have ever had in New York. From Chester at the front door (and later our bellman to find our ride to the airport), to Eric at concierge to help us find a swanky lounge before dinner, we couldn t be more impressed. Our room was huge (for NYC standards), and the customer service at the rooftop bar from Ryan and Gio was second to none. I wish I had unlimited space to write this review to say everything I want, but just leave with this The Knickerbocker is the best money you will ever spend on a hotel in NYC.

This trip was for my wife's birthday, and they welcomed her with a chocolate cake in our room with champagne! The room was beautifully done, contemporary but not over the top. Also, I don't know about it is about their lobby, but it smelled good! They also gave us two vouchers for a drink at the rooftop bar, which unfortunately we couldn't use because our 2 year was with us, but the gesture was enough. Location was great, we were close to where all the action is. Would stay here again and recommend to friends and family!

On April 2, 2021 I stayed in a junior corner room suite with my family. The windows were very dirty and both the rug and couch had lots of old stains in them. At 6pm I tried to call for more towels and toiletries, but instead of a person I received a recording that everyone had left for the day and CB in the morning. Except for an emergency button on the phone, there was no one! What kind of 5 star hotel is this! I certainly paid a 5 star rate for the night! Horrible!

Black Door Man is an idiot and very Rude,
All 4 or 5 Star rating definitely came from Family and Friend. If the door man is that rude what you expect from the Hotel

Paid $110 to valet park during my stay on 6/28. Parked in the valet spot, Got out of my car with my bag, handed my key to the valet and walked inside. 6 weeks later I receive a second notice for a $125 parking ticket in the mail for being parked in a bus lane. Never got a first notice because the valet who illegally parked my car must have thrown it out. Made numerous phones to the hotel and sent a bunch of emails. Keep being told no one is available to help me right now ....
Beware.

Staff....rude. Rooms...dirty. Amenities...non existent. Roof top bar was beautiful but the service was so horrible it was no surprise the place was completely empty. Nowhere near a 5 star establishment.

Worst hotel I ve stayed at.. customer service was horrible... not only was my room by the elevator which is the worst room on the floor I got to stare at a wall the whole weekend out the window. I ordered room service they gave me spoiled fish., the next day I ordered breakfast and the food was luke warm/cold the syrup and coffee was ice cold and when I called to tell them they had the worst attitude like I was a problem.. when your staying a lot a five star hotel you don t expect this kind of service.. I will be contacting corporate to further complain. I don t usually complain about hotels EVER but this one was horrible.
