The location is ideal for exploring New York being used right on Times Square. The rooms are fantastic and show off the new modern, and updated style of the Knick and the service has been exemplary. We were shown to our room by Tony who made us feel welcome and provided information that we would never have found out otherwise. All in all a superb experience.

Just had the most amazing trip to NYC for my niece's first visit and 13th birthday. The Knickerbocker blew us away and made our trip so memorable! Incredibly clean, friendly staff, QUIET (and you're just steps from Times Square!). They even went above and beyond and surprised her with a happy birthday piece of cake one night. Talk about 5-star service! I will stay here every visit to NYC if I can. Thank you Knickerbocker for giving us a trip we won't soon forget.

Overall, a good experience at The Knickerbocker Hotel. Great location at 42nd St and Broadway, the heart of Times Square. Smallish but comfortable and quiet rooms. Good restaurant and bar on the 4th floor, nice breakfast/coffee bar on the first floor. I understand there's another bar on the top floor too. Check-in and check-out were pretty easy. Security was good but not obnoxious. Rooms and common areas were very clean. A mix of business and vacation guests, but probably due to the room prices, the 'bargain' tourists weren't in evidence (that's a good thing.) My N.Y. office is across the street, so it's become my favorite hotel in the city.

Good service, great location. Breakfast is tiring on day 2. A bit pricey, but hey, it's Times Square. Sign up for the Leading Hotel card (or something like that) and they might give you a breakfast voucher (or three.) Rooms are comfy, with the essentials. The bar is pretty good. The bartender is a pretty cool dude who makes excellent drinks. I'll definitely be back here on my next trip to the Big Apple.

The rooftop bar is a lovely respite from the horn honking at street level. The seating outside feels of a garden away from Times Square, but you're a block away. It's a great little stop.

While the exterior may be historic, the interior is nothing short of modern. Every room has a Samsung tablet (for entertainment, and to also display videos on the TV,) remote controlled black-out blinds, futuristic (and customizable) lighting, and, to top it all off, a massive bathroom, with marble counter-tops and a massive spa-like shower. This hotel is the best I have ever stayed in, even beating the Borgata.

Excellent location right at Times Square. There's always something to do around The Knickerbocker and there are many shops with flashy displays. A landmark for tourists looking to stay in a historic hotel.

Incredibly great hotel! Large rooms and a hidden seating area in the lobby which helps makes the hotel feel less touristy. The hotel has a lot of history which you can read about in a book in the rooms. The rooftop bar is pretty cool too. I would definitely stay here if you're looking to be in a central location in the city!

Place that is not cheap and central to go and be near the center of New York has all the comfort and attention to be enjoying a good hotel, very friendly people who speak Spanish and with a good food buffet and a good place to eat and drink Good drinks and a terrace with a spectacular view to see New York at night an international restaurant service not cheap place but to enjoy first they will give you all the directions if you want to go to emblematic places in New York or use uber it is cheaper And better than taxis, the other alternative is walking and taking the subway. It is close to many places such as restaurants, museums, and walks. I recommend this place 85%.
Where the worst thing is to have fun and enjoy the big apple .

A big disapointment! First we asked for a bathtub room and call ahead days in advance to specify was a special day for us. No room were kept available! Then the Charlie Palmer was also a big disapointment. Asked for a simple candle on our dessert and they just forget. Staff is nice and tried to help that s why I give a 3 star but really disapointed by the overall experience.

It is convenient because there is an open house in the neighborhood.

i stayed at the hotel and i gave my luggage at first to the concierge, 14 in total, me and my friends, they wrote 12 in the luggage tag and when we said it was 14, they went to recheck and changed the number to 14 and returned the tag, i then left my jacket and told them to keep it with the luggages and send it together with the luggage to the room later. However, the jacket wasn t there, and i forgot about it as well, until i left the hotel and checked out and i called the hotel, and they said it was there however, they can only keep it for a month and the cost to send it to a nearby place is 50 USD!!

Great ambiance with an outstanding rooftop bar. The upscale vibe hits you as soon as you walk through the door. The elevators get quite crowded as patrons go up to the rooftop bar. I look forward to staying here just by the service I received as a guest at the bar. The location is great and is convenient from anywhere in Manhattan.

Without a doubt one of the best hotel to stay in In New York city if you want to experience time Square. The room is clean, modern, and spacious. We stay in the Deluxe 2 queen beds and there are plenty of room for 2 adults and 2 kids. It have a Full size closet and sofa area. The staff were extremely friendly. You must check out the roof top bar, the location is perfect and you can literally see the new year ball from the roof. I'd say the only negative is just the fact that you're in time square, food are expensive and mediocre. But that is expected. I'd say if you visiting NYC for vacation and want to stay at timesquare, this is my #1 choice.

A 1-minute walk from Times Square, it's a great place to visit New York City. It was a hotel like New York with a simple modern interior and a classic appearance. It was a pity I did not have time to enjoy the rooftop bar because it was late.

Clean modern and quiet yet in the center of Times Square. I checked in around 8pm and the staff was kind enough to upgrade me to a small suite which was actually quite large and luxurious given that this was Manhattan. Everyone was very courteous and the food at Charlie Palmer s for breakfast was good.

Great hotel in a prime location in Times Square. Have paid for a week a small fortune, but the hotel was newly renovated, modern and clean. The building has a great history and a wonderful facade. The minibar was filled but not regularly, we therefore deduct a star. Should not happen in a high-end hotel!
The terrace bar is nice, but just as intense as the price overnight rates.

Went to the rooftop bar for the first time yesterday.

It was a lovely place to meet and have fun!

As usual nyc is an overpriced city lol.
I had whiskey sour and it was $18.
Lol.
It s going to be nice during summer!

Great location but insanely over priced, for what we payed I would expect a butler in every room or something. The rooms were clean but very basic and the automatic blinds were just a strange loud novelty that required us to chase down the remotes when we wanted to look outside. Also- the hallways are crazy dark. What's up with that?

Quiet which is great for getting away from the busy times square. Frequent turndown service. Room was very bland and felt a little cheap for the price of the stay. Breakfast I do not rate. Was a nice stay but felt a little sour after asking for a late checkout and got told for 3 hours it would cost me 200 after I stayed for a week.

For a 5 star hotel the check in process is rediculous. Herds of people waiting in the lobby - you would think for such a busy hotel they would have more people working. We wanted to leave our bags since our room wasn t ready and the guy was in a terrible mood. Again another line and another long wait. How is this a luxury hotel?

I am very proud to belong to the KNICKERBOCKER family. I am very grateful to God for giving me the opportunity to belong to this place and thank the company for believing in me and for the good treatment given me. I am very grateful to all on staff with my head chef thanks

I came for the rooftop bar, it was nice and not crowded on a Tuesday night. If you are going for just the rooftop bar take the central elevator as those are the only ones that go to the roof and not the regular hotel.

Best staff and service. Got room upgrade and early check in and late check out. You can request every you want through text messages with the staff and the food was incredible. You really feel the luxury in this hote and everything is very high tech in the rooms. Loved the St Cloud rooftop bar and Charlie Palmer. Also the cafe was great. My wife also loved it as much as me and we definitely want to come back. We had the perfect anniversary in our favorite city.

dont know whether to give this 1 star or 3 stars. there are so many things wrong with this place. It is nicely situated off times sq. the staff "try". but quality of rooms, wifi suddenly stopped working, bizarre room layouts, absolutely infuriating and annoying lift. Why is a lift pitch black inside so you cannot read the buttons, which require a confusing room key to work. nice big TV screen. No attention to quality (eg room lock failed, waited ages for an engineer, and moved rooms); battery in the automatic blinds wasnt checked. the free breakfast is pretty basic to poor & stupid. the checkin area is horrible. why is everything dark and cramped? the restaurant was nice and pleasant, except the bar area needed something to dampen the sound - with no soft furnishings you may need noise cancelling headphones !

The restaurant area did not suffer the noise of the bar area.

Why frosted glass for the toilet area?

Why no decoration? Some of the rooms feel like prison cells. Horrible lighting in the rooms.

A beautiful room with plenty of space. Very quiet and relaxing. Though the bright lights from the times square ads does manage to sneak in through the bathroom window a bit, which may bother some people.

We stayed at this hotel 3 times in the past year for long periods of time, the first time even when we call ahead 4 hours before we arrive and make the reservation one month before, they didn't have room for us, we stayed for 10 days in a Junior suite without views, great location right in Times Square, if you're going to stay more than 2 days don't get the breakfast buffet, it's the same everyday, beautiful rooftop bar, restaurant, we were a little disappointed with the cleaning.

unbeatable site in the heart of Times Square. Modern hotel without stridency inside a historic building in New York. Cleaning of 10 and good customer service, although they do not speak Spanish. Perfect location to move both on foot or by metro throughout the city.

The view from the roof is really top notch, especially for non-locals. Ambience is nice, and the feel is cozy but not overcrowded. Bar tenders are most attentive, and provide top notch service; but prices are really outrageous. Of course, this is to be expected for a midtown hotel bar. The bar itself isn t standout. Go here to show out-of-towners great views of Times Square on a great rooftop.

This is a great hotel with a beautiful classic look on the outside and new bold look on the inside. I would have given 5 stars if they didn't completely ruin my room service experience. At least they were nice enough to remove the $26 hamburger from my bill. Great location with helpful employees!
