Stayed here 4 nights in a Junior corner suite. Family of 5 the room was very well accommodating to us as far as size . Very clean, staff went above and beyond for us... my wife said the knickerbocker was the best hotel we ever stayed at and honestly we have stayed at lots of hotels. Thank you to the hotel and staff.

I stayed here ten days. The TV was not working properly when I got in the room but they fixed it right away. It s a good hotel with a very nice costumer service. The coffee place and the bar are both nice too. The only concern is here is right at Time square, a little bit crowded when you walk out the gate.

Where do I start.

Where do I start.

When I called to add additional night to my reservation I was on the phone for 40 minutes and then they informed me that they could not make my reservation due to the computer system was down and to call back the next day.

I was called 3 days prior to my arrival stating that I had 11 rooms booked for the first night that was incorrect I only had one room booked.

I requested late check in but was called by the hotel asking if I was still arriving the day of my check in, they did have my late check-in request.

When I arrived at 11:30 there computer system was was down once again and they were declining check ins and telling guest they had to use other hotels. I was lucky and was able to check in an hour later.

Do not use the Rooftop Bar very understaffed and you will have to wait to be served 30-40 minutes.

Arrived back in my room at 9 p.m. and room temp 80 degrees. The a/c was broken.

I will never use this hotel again and I will continue to stay at the Marriott in the future.

Went there during June.Room is very clean and nice especially the bathroom is the best part of it, staff is super nice and helpful!!The location is great it s in the middle of times square. The only thing is if you want a good view then you ll have to request it because your window view will be a wall but they can t promise it because when I was there so many rooms were full so I head to deal with it but it wasn t a big deal for me because I was out in NYC most of the time.Another thing is the hotel elevator works by your room card so if your card is on the 10th floor it will only take to that floor, the lobby, and the restaurant at the hotel which I struggled with because my relatives also stayed at the same hotel but were on a different floor so when I was trying to go to them I had to take the stairs instead.

This hotel is wonderful mainly for its staff, they are friendly, respectful, fraternal, committed to their responsibilities, worried and I can guarantee them, after more than almost three years being a guest of the Knickerbooker, who can More

The hotel was excellent, located in Times Square - which makes it very easy to get almost anywhere. The service was top-notch, the food was excellent, and the room was amazing. The missus and I are already making plans to go back!

Very nice boutique hotel, the rooms are clean and tidy, the staff are friendly. Plenty of amenities and mini bar snacks are well stocked. Bathrooms for the mini room are a little small but that's fine as the decor is excellent. I'd definitely refined this hotel to travelers and first time New Yorkers. They have this cool little s survival guide book that gives you some greats hints and tips for the hotel and the surrounding area.

Stay away from this place!!!!! Especially right now, April 2019! The manager from the front desk she is not very professional and not very helpful, they try to sell their upgrades rooms which is also the rooms are close to the renovations rooms! So you pay extra 45 more and then you got yourself into a next day full of chemistry smell room! They don t even info the customer about anything about that level has rooms are under renovations! They even tried to hide the fact! Hopefully one night in there won t bring me blood cancer since it s serious chemical sells from the fan blow into the room!!!! Also they use perfume to cover the smell when you checked into the room, so you won t tell or thinking too much! But after a night, the true poisoning air is coming into the room! This is beyond level of lying! I can t believe that manager still selling that level rooms to customers! Very very disappointed on the front desk !!!!

Great hotel, elegant, clean, great location, in the heart of the Times Square, reception staff are friendly and friendly, the service is excellent, they were in constant contact with us during our stay, I highly recommend it

We have been to many great hotels around the world including the Ritz hotel in Paris. This hotel is outstanding for comfort (very modern inside) and for great service. USA Today about 2016 rated this hotel at number nine in their list of best hotels in New York. The hotel did not disappoint. Every staff member that I interacted with could be given a rating of excellent. This is unusual as one would meet many staff members over a period of one week. We were concerned that the location of the hotel was too much in the middle of the action (Times Square) but the place was very quiet and turned out to be very convenient as we tend to walk a lot.

As an interesting bonus, the hotel provided a flight of very nice chocolates after the third day. Not sure if they do this for all customers but that gesture was pretty surprising.

The one other great bonus is that, in my opinion, the rooms are actually underpriced for the quality and service.

Btw, we had three great meals during our stay, Per Se, Chef's Table and Kyo Ya. All three are strongly recommended.

The hotel is right on Times Square, and has a great roof bar, 1 point. But that was about it. Small dark lobby, service a disaster. Even before arrival I had asked for a Caruso Suite as an upgrade by email or whether it would have a connecting door for another room. I did not receive a reply until I arrived. When I arrived, I pointed out that I had no response to my email request. The front desk lady said succinctly that the fault was from the reservation office. In the evening we ordered a pizza (recommendation from the hotel) at the shop around the corner via the concierge. It all worked out well, including the charge on my credit card. The pizza unfortunately never arrived because the front desk sent the pizza delivery man somewhere, despite the concierge's previous announcement. BRAVO, we all went to bed hungry. Something else is coming. Definitely never knickers again. Even 5 stars without the aforementioned problems are not really justified here.

Stay on the Broadway side for views of the Harry Potter/Lyric Theater. This is a class act with attentive staff, great service and attention to detail. It has a modern, contemporary atmosphere. It's a bit noisy being in the heart of Times Square and could also use thicker black out shades.

Not sure how the hotel was pre-covid but our experience was subpar this weekend. Our biggest complaint was the customer service....receptionist onsite only from 9 - 5/6. They did not offer valet. When we checked out no one was to be found. I understand the hotel industry is hurting but I never think its a good idea to skimp on customer service....especially at a "5 star hotel".

The silver lining of our stay was the doorman. He was very kind and more helpful than the receptionist.

Amazing hotel, looks super old and antique from outside but the rooms were over the top modern and super clean. Price wasn't bad for Memorial Day weekend when we visited. Had a partial view of Times Square. Favorite nyc hotel by far. Would definitely return and recommend.

Great location but nothing wow or to the standard of 5 star hotel. Staff are not responsiveness as it should be, you room are running out of minimum things such as slippers & if you ask for something it take ages to be delivered to you! However, their concierge staff are friendly & supportive.

Went for a seminar. The meeting space was great but the hotel overall is just too dark. Can someone paint a wall white so I can see where I am going? The elevators don't ring loud enough so you don't know that it has arrived and it is too dark so a couple of times I was not sure which button I pressed

Access is very good. Whenever you come back, the subway is connected and you feel like you can immediately rest at the hotel. However, the service is not particularly good for the price. Errors occur multiple times in bed making. If it is not a cheap hotel and a rudimentary error occurs, the sense of satisfaction with the amount will be lost. It was a little disappointing experience

This hotel is brown, so dark you can not find the buttons in the elevator. After being given a low floor with extreme noise I was moved to a room in the "courtyard" where I could not tell if it was day or night. A few days and I was suffering extreme depression as there is no sunlight anywhere in the entire hotel but all dark brown with lots of booze in the room. Getting a cab is also very hared to to the location. This is a wonderful place for the "tourist"

Just a fabulous hotel in the heart of New York's Times Square. We flew here from Dallas for the July 4th celebrations and it was a fantastic experience. Their bellboys are dressed in outfits from yesteryear and their front desk staff are friendly, speedy and efficient. It is a trendy hotel full of hip, beautiful people. Rooms are modern and contemporary with really cute, large bathrooms with a lot of natural light and white tones. In-room accessories are some of the coolest we have seen in our travels - they strike a very subtle balance between modernist style and the feeling of a bygone era.

All in all, a very chic hotel with some minor service lapses that were quickly rectified. The location and the interior of the hotel far outweighed the minor negatives. We will definitely be back.

After it's recent reopening I can easily say that the Knickerbocker is a fantastic stay near times square. The rooms are elegant and spacious; the staff is energetic, helpful, and accommodating; the location is merely a stones throw from Bryant park and Times Square and the subway can take you anywhere you want to go and back with minimal walking from stop to hotel.

Great position - an easy walk from Penn Station (with light luggage). It is very close to the madness of Time Square, but also very well soundproofed. The world inside the hotel is quiet and cool. The room was a decent size with good storage and a really excellent bathroom and shower. The bed was comfortable. There was a great bar on the roof with Time Square views (start saving!). The gym is outstanding with a variety of cardio machines but a good floor area and weights area and one of those magic vibrating machines.

Elegant millenials hotel in the neutral palettes they love in a historic beaux-arts building in the heart of Times Square without any of that bothersome charm you would want when traveling. Service is impeccable but it will literally leave you cold. An incredibly subdued, almost comatose pallette will greet you with none of that disconcerting primary and secondary colours millenials clearly do not enjoy by the carefully tailored interior design marketing research employed. Still, you could do worse.

Worst service! The rooms are lovely however it is completely not worth staying in this hotel. The bellboys are only focused in getting tips, they would treat the luggages like trash. Receptionists lack customer service and are not accommodating. Very disappointed, hotels seems to be interested in getting money rather than providing a wonderful stay for guests.

Secret place right in the middle of the Times Square. Really couldn't believe my eyes. Place was reserved, staff was courteous and drinks, food and cigars were excellent. Recommend it to anyone!

Hotel with excellent location .... right in the heart of Times Square. There is no way to have a better location. Shopping center and great restaurant around. And the best .... you can visit the SQUARE team anytime you want for great photos.
CONS: Breakfast included very weak .... very simple. Some berries, breads, cold cuts and some eggs. Even if you ask at the table. Unless you want to shell out even more for the included breakfast to have more options ..... confused concierge: I bought online and had a package delivered to the hotel .... the front desk received it but lost ... . caution!!!!
Cleanliness ok, attentive staff.

We had dinner at Apres. We had the raclette dinner and it very good. It wasn't the giant wheel raclette, but the small tabletop broiler version. The platter included bread, cheese, ham, peppers, mushrooms, corn and carrots.
