This is the nicest YMCA I have ever been in. Very well maintained and there is so much offered to the members.

I just moved to St. Louis from Houston (where I was also a YMCA member). I thought I would try it again. For the monthly price, this gym has everything I need. Workout room, basketball court, and weightroom. Big gyms like planet fitness are a pain. I much rather prefer these friendlier neighborhood gyms like YMCA.

It feels just like home here and all of the staff are family.

Most dangerous pickup area for kids. Force parents to park on street rather than on large parking lot. Very ill concieved plan.

Friendly staff and had everything you need for weights and cardio. Great for families because of child care and the pool splash pad area! Used to be a part of Gold s but the YMCA fits our family needs better.

My family and I use EJ YMCA every week for the pool, which is kept in excellent condition with clean and well-maintained changing rooms and restrooms. Even if Edward Jones Y is not the closest branch to where I'm at in the city, I choose to swim there over other branches because of the superior pool and numerous lap lanes. I also like to take advantage of the variety of fitness classes included in the price of membership, especially family yoga, zumba, and water fitness classes. We love our EJ YMCA!

Their hours online are wrong and it seems like they're always closing early. It's very expensive, and I only go for the convenience because I don't have a car and it's nearby. I do not like the lifeguard staff, but the people at the front desk are very friendly. Anyways, for the price I think you should be allowed to bring more guests.

I joined a couple months ago and have had a great experience & the staff is friendlier than the other Y's! I'd have joined earlier if I knew everything they had to offer. The only negatives are the no guest policy & basketball gym availability is tentative.

I can not say enough good things about the YMCA. The staff is friendly and helpful and the facility is kept clean.
The workout equipment is well maintained and the cardio equipment also. More than enough cardio equipment to keep up with the daily crowd and the cardio equipment is updated about every 5 years.
The Y is worth the money to me.

I would give a lower rating if I could. This location is horibble. The coach that my child had was horrible and my child was pretty much bullied. Once they get your money they do not respond to emails or phone calls. When I finally got a call back the situation was still not handled even though I was told they do not stand for these kind of situations. This place is all about get your money and not the children.

In Short: If you live in Maryland Heights, go to their community center instead. It's newer and far less expensive.

I was a dedicated member here for almost 5 years. The staff is friendly and the machines are always clean. One of the attractions of this place over other gyms (despite its much higher membership fees) is the ping pong club. There was a table near the entrance that drew many people who played. Unfortunately, it was moved to the basement and became unplayable. Once this happened and the newly constructed Maryland Heights community center opened, there was no reason to keep coming here.

But I leave on a positive note: the Y has lots of classes that are free with membership. If that's something you enjoy, then it can be a good fit still.

I went to the Y today and when I was done, heading to a table to eat a protein bar before I walked home, the woman behind the desk... Irma or Maria (her and another woman were talking about how the hurricane was named after her)...said, good work out Natasha? I looked at her and laughed BC I #1 looked like a truck hit me BC I worked out too hard and #2, I had a name. I wasnt customer, hey you, a client or a consumer. I was specifically named and recognized. And she did this for every person coming and going. This is amazing. Why can't it be like this everywhere? She needs a raise, a hug, a vacation, something special, to be recognized for recognizing people and asking how they are doing. Not as a passing by question but as a genuine concern and care. Thanks for hiring her!

I cannot say enough good things about the Edward Jones Family YMCA. I was a member of this gym during high school and just recently renewed it 8 months ago. After 10+ years exploring other gyms, it was tough to beat this one. From the hospitality of the staff to the excellent group classes to the wide range of fitness equipment (cardio, free weights, machines, etc.), the Edward Jones YMCA is top notch. Not to mention this all comes at a VERY affordable price! I've rambled enough, but summed up - You want to be a member here!

I work here. So, I am bound to be inclined. Nevertheless, I must add we have a dedicated staff, nicer than a large pool, various free inclusive group classes for adults, Nationwide access, and my whole family so diligently uses every week. Sometimes more than I care to count.

Decent weight lifting and cardio areas, though it s not uncommon for their machines to be less than ideal shape. Also very annoying that they only have two basketball hoops down 90% of the time. 4 unused hoops means a lot of wasted space...

We have been members here for just over a year and we love it. Very friendly staff and great for the entire family. We go to the Father Daughter Sweetheart dance every year and we have a blast.

The Edward Jones YMCA has always been a great place for my family. Recently my family haven't been able to participate due to economic situations, but we would like to come back one day.

Edward Jones YMCA is very clean and new. I checked out most YMCAs in St. Louis, and Edward has the best swimming pool for kids/family. The staff is very welcoming and helpful. Highly recommended!

I am using Y gym. I really like it. They have best equipments over there. They have indoor pool
Steam bath and sauna bath. I m glad that I live very close to this place.

Love the amenities and facility features of the Edward Jones Y. Large pool is great for lap swimmers, and the water slide/zero depth entry is great for families. Their fitness center is large, with a wide variety of cardio, strength, and free weight equipment to choose from. They have a HUB and climbing spire in a staff supervised room - great for kids to stay entertained while parents enjoy a work out.

The staff is friendly and equipment is great. I don't like that there are 2 separate weight rooms. I have to go to separate rooms for different workouts. Any programs like soccer and football that are not at the Edward Jones facility seem like borrowed fields with no bathrooms or concessions.

For sure 4/5 stars, this Y is the best Y I've visited across the USA. I am a travel nurse and have been a part of a few different Y's. This Y is never too busy to the point that you are unable to get your workout in. Everyone here, staff and members are kind, helpful and friendly. s/o to Maria at the check in, she just about knows everyone's name, prior to scanning your card in. GET THIS LADY A PAID VACAY!

I love going to Edward Jones YMCA. The equipment maintained & very nice. Classes are free.

Fun place, the track needs to be updated. It is sooo tiny, it is full of dips, that I do not think were intentional for such a small track.

Your policy of charging an additional month for services if you cancel membership after the 20th of the month is horrendous. It s just another way for you to collect additional money.

Ok, full disclosure, i work here, but i am also a member, and have been to many YMCA's in this area, as well as both coasts of the country. I really enjoy this particular YMCA for the diversity on all levels and abilities for both members and staff. Maria is the consumate greeter in the morning, checking you in, learning your name, and making everyone feel welcome. Martin is the personable and responsive health and wellness director, assisting everyone with all things group exercise. Stephanie is the go to personal trainer, and there are many other great staff and members. It feels like an extended family here, even though we have to distance, wear masks (even when in a class or exercising) ), keep sanitizing hands, and get a temperature check upon entry. Sign up up to 48 hour before a class....there used to be 15-20 in my classes, but with distancing, only a maximum of 6 for now. Try it out, you will love it!

For a community center, not bad; basically what they are. Large selection of activities and classes. Child care and camps seem nice. And sports teams as well. Not really for hard core athletes on a workout regiment since the place is a bit small for that with limited machines, not to mention kids running around, but great for price.

My husband and I have been working out at the Y for almost 12 years and still enjoy it. They have made upgrades to the weight room the past couple years and the community there is always welcoming!

We were lucky enough to have my daughter at the YMCA's early education program from age 6 months to 3 years when we moved out of state. I always knew I loved the teachers there, but I didn't realize how much they were like family until we had to try and find a new day care when we moved. The teachers are great, the lessons are valuable, and the out door play time is irreplaceable.

This YMCA has THE most disgusting customer service ever! I have never been so disturbed by the lack of skill set or customer service that they provide. The executive director, Debbie, is a senile old bat as well as a delusional pathological liar who needs to take etiquette classes. She talks to members SO rudely as if she received schooling from Out of a cave! She has the skill set of an untamed animal! On top of that, the facility's equipment is not all the way up to par and they have the audacity to be rude! They also have so many leagues going at one time that it's impossible to utilize the facility that you're paying for! Lastly, TOO many changes in staffing and for the WORST! SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO ELSEWHERE!!

Very unsafe facility, inside and out. The daycare facility continues to allow students who bite other students often to remain in classes and injuring other good students. Biting happens in many facilities but at a rate of 1 bite per week it is deemed unsafe in my opinion, especially when the biting leaves bruises and breaks the skin. Appears the teachers cannot control their classroom. Facility is fairly clean and that has not been an issue. Vehicles are broken into in the parking lot multiple times. Extremely unsatisfied with the safety of this facility.

Camp is awesome!! The staff is so friendly and welcoming. It is a little crazy but the kids love it and have so much fun.

The staff is very friendly but they need more weight machines and they need to be varied-not a huge selection.

I have been a member at the Edward Jones Y for quite some time. The facility is great and the staff are equally good. Overall experience at the Y has been great for me so far. They have free programs for Yoga and other similar activities which are really great.

This rating is for worst customer service. I browsed about Zumba classes in my home and called them around 12:40 p.m today and was given proper information. Later on when we went onsite around 2:00 p.m the other lady at the front desk gave us all the incorrect information about classes, payment ( we did cross check and corrected her as well) and infact we didn't feel like receiving from her at all. I came back to my home checked online and realized that the payment she told was totally incorrect.

Please don't go to this ymca.....The people who works there really rude...and the attitude.....omg like they own the world. tried with and without membership with them didn't liked. .....u won't get what you pay for. ..It worth less worst place

This review is for the swimming lesson here. Our daughter is taking the group class since last 1 year. The classes are really a hit or miss . If you get a good instructor, you are lucky (less chance as only a couple of good instructors can be found), otherwise you will just be swimming with the other 5 students in your group while the instructor probably doesn t even pay attention to what each students doing... half the time the instructor is not even in the water, and most of them seem always very uninterested.

The pools are crowded, it s hard to get space if you are coming in the evening time. During the morning on weekdays normally the crowd is less, but then they reserve multiple lanes for some or the other dedicated programs.

Basically, you get what you pay for, but I think after a years worth of swimming here I feel I should have spent some more money to go elsewhere even if it means a bit of driving, because now the money and time is spent and unfortunately it almost seems that I taught my daughter more swimming than the instructor and the lesson did.i

I used to be a member at the Y. Me and my family love to work out at the Y all the time. But The membership fee is expensive but worth for someone who afford. Enjoy!!

My son has attended the ECE program at the Edward Jones Y sinces he was 12wks old and is now 2. His teachers are incredibly loving and do great activites! He also loves getting to playoutside and in the gym.

Extremely rude front desk woman, experience was terrible.

Horrible been sick for two weeks been a member for months the associate lyn at the desk Indicated that they donated my belongings there is no sign that saids you have to pay for individual locks nobody talk to me about it or it isn t in my YMCA agreement completely disrespectful/ no notice no professionalism as well good place to work out bad communication skills and regulations . I m canceling and do not recommended this YMCA thank you

The service from the front desk staff is always courteous and helpful. The lifeguards are also courteous and professional. The locker rooms are generally clean and well-stocked. I love bringing my sons to this YMCA and using the pool with them.

I love the this YMCA alot but they are relaxing on their cleaning. The women steam room is not hot enough and the whirl pool needs to be clean constantly. The front staff Marie knows everyone by name.
The Zumba classes are very good though they seem to have a lot of turnover there. Need more equipment to work the stomach.

Love the pool & classes, but wouldn't send my dog back to the summer camp. After my daughter told me a few stories i started showing up unexpectedly & was seriously furious at the lack of supervision. I watched as 2 boys kicked & hit my daughter in front of a counselor. The counselor didn't say anything even after i confronted him, worst camp experience ever!

A variety of options to get a great work, from swimming , basketball, track, to weight rooms. They also have some of of the top Zumba instructors. Programs and care for kids. Christian owned and operated with a staff that actually understands the meaning of Customer Service.

My family love the facility. My wife enjoys Zumba classes at Edward Jones YMCA.

As a person who has been through numerous health clubs and gyms, I found it necessary to share my opinion with you. After reading astonishing experience in which I had with this clubs cleanness and their rude and unfriendly staff, most than likely you would agree with my opinion that this is by far one of the worst health clubs in the country. I have also taken a few pictures from the club in which I m willing to share with you upon your request via email. The bathrooms and the showers always smell horrible the carpet is so dark and nasty in which you don t even want to walk on it. Every day there is a mess in the toilet seats and showers and they won t clean them. Sometimes the equipment s are out of service for months without getting replaced. Having said all that, today vie decided to cancel my membership and join Golds Gym. Therefore, I ve decided to speak to the club s assistant manager (Woman name: Lena Eyermann) I ve stated me complains along the reason I would like to cancel my membership. I was shocked by her astonishing response; You made the right decision Wow, so you are an assistant manager! I ve responded.
Honestly, my disappointment was not mainly based on her reaction as it was a true indication of her lack of family training, family root and responsibly. However, I ve wondered how the higher-ranking managers are OK with her.

Lovely staff and generally a great facility! My only recommendation would be to have a better variety (and better times) for classes. personally, I would love to see a daily yoga class starting anytime from open to 6am. What a nice way to start a day!

Monday night Zumba with Jose and Ayako is the highlight of my week! I always leave drenched in sweat and smiling from ear to ear.

We really like this YMCA, my son goes down stairs to the HUB childcare and they always have teenagers watching them and their attitudes have been great. The weight rooms are never to packed, the equipment is used but cant remember a time that a piece of equipment was broken or unusable.

My family loves the Edward Jones Y. My daughter has learned so much by participating in the team sports programs specifically volleyball and basketball. Great experience all the way around!

Not too bad place but walking rink should to be reconstruction and also women receptionist who works there for long time need to calm down with all her extra checking to clients and guests. Feels like she made herself big boss there.People come to relax there from job and all problems

Don't try to go to the basketball gym during the weekday. The gym is almost always closed at 6pm the time that most people get off work to go. One time I called the front desk to see if the basketball gym would be open I took the bus to get there and I found out that it was closed. The only thing the employees said was "my fault".This has happened on several occasions.The employees at the front desk never know When or Why the basketball gym is closed. Also they never know who to contact to find out. And the person in charge of the basketball league can never be reached. The intercom system they use is very loud and distorted which you can't understand what they are saying. Also The locker rooms smell really bad.

Great staff and superb facility. They can certainly work on their extended timings but overall a great YMCA.

Beware. They make it incredibly difficult to cancel. You must go in person to do it, and you will still be required to pay for an additional two months of membership.

Staff is always pleasant and helpful. Love the bright natural light in the foyer and the workout gym area.
The people who use the gym are friendly and polite too when waiting for their turn at a particular equipment station.
The pool is well maintained.
Overall the Y in Maryland height is bright and clean and the people there are friendly. Love going there for my exercise needs.
Miss the spinning classes with Valerie due to knee surgery but will resume as soon as I can. Hope Valerie is still there when I get back as she is an excellent spinning coach.

My boyfriend and I have been a members here for about 2 years and have enjoyed the experience so far. There are tons of classes and activities for kids and adults. I personally have done the cycling classes and really liked it. I also have noticed there is child care, karate classes, swim classes, basketball teams, and summer camp available. There are two work out areas so sometimes if you go at the right time you can have the whole area to yourself! There are a good variety of machines in my opinion and the workout areas are kept very clean. The staff members are really nice and some of them even take the time to learn your name which is really nice. I haven t done personal training but when I see them working with others they are very patient and accommodating. I think if you are looking for an easily accessible community gym, this place will meet your needs. It s not fancy and intimidating like most gyms lol it s just right

The facility is awesome, the staff is beyond friendly - extremely welcoming and engaging. They do so much more than fitness classes and swimming - community engagement, early childhood development, summer camp and other various programs all to support families and individuals within the community.

1. Many lockers in the men's locker room have broken latches and cannot be secured with a lock.
2. The coffee area is always in need of servicing, however attempts to assist are met with hostility.
3. The gym work-out staff are seldom there and when there, they are usually engaged in social discussions - rarely are they observed counseling any of the extreme obese members to find ways to benefit from their exercises.
4. At times when the work-out areas are crowded, staff does not discourage social conversations where two or more participants camp on the units for 15-20 minutes at a time for their extended conversations, thereby denying others the use of the equipment items.

The people are very nice there. However there is always something broken in the pool area and it usually stays broken for a while. The hot tub was down for weeks when it broke. Now the dry sauna has been down for a week.

During a time I wasn't making it there regularly, my credit card on file was compromised. Edward Jones Family YMCA charged me $25, twice, for a credit card that was no longer valid, refusing to remove charges. So, not only was my credit card number stolen, but Edward Jones Family YMCA added to the problem, and refused to remove the charges. I called to resolve the issue, after reviewing my credit card statement. If they had contacted me before charging it twice, I could have given them updated payment information. Instead, I'll never pay them the charges, or return. I suggest you do the same. $50 for every person that has ever had their credit card information compromised has to add up nicely for them.

Good place for family fitness. Pool is always clean and staffs are always there for support . Gym have enough thread mills and other fitness equipments. Lot of activities going on here which member can participate by paying extra money. Really good staff too

Overall, I am satisfied with the facility. It offers numerous classes on a daily basis, included with the membership. We made a complaint about one of the shower heads in the family locker rooms and the next day the issue was resolved! The child day care is inexpensive compared to similar alternatives; it's okay.

Cleanliness? Absolutely. Do I bring my own flip flops while I shower anyway because it IS a public facility? Absolutely. Wouldn't you? Women's hair in the drain is natural, so be proactive and quit hating on the facility itself.

Improvements? The lifeless lifeguards in the pool have not been very active while on active duty... After all, most are probably just kids on their first job. They probably just need better training.

My son has been taking swim lessons for the last three years at various places within the St. Louis region. Our experience with the swim instructors at the Edward Jones Y's have been the best so far! He has learned valuable skills and I have enjoyed the small class sizes and flexible times offered for lessons. We will continue to sign up for swim lessons and can't wait to try out the other youth sports programs that the Y offers.

The people here are very nice. They promote community, update machinery fairly often. Down point is the locker rooms/showers are outdated and not the most user friendly.

Friendly staff, good equipment, two workout rooms (most forget about the one down the right side hall), and lots of activities. Only downside is the lack of swim lanes on certain days due to all the swim classes.

This is my favorite YMCA in St. Louis! It's very close to home and I love the atmosphere of how spacious it is. The pool area is massive and it has a lot of extras that you don't see in any indoor pool in the area. It's very clean and the staff are always very friendly.

Love this location because of the diverse community. My daughter was in the early childhood program here and we loved everything about! The only con is the parking. There s many blind spots and elderly walking, so please drive slow and take caution.Thank you to all the staff for being apart of our lives.
