Great staff, great service, food not bad, give these stars,But, too many bugs,in the bed ,in the sink, and keep coming into the room under the door from outside,Yeah,I know these all about tropical area, but when you try to sleep and this bug is on your arm,and feel something is moving on your skin....it keep you stay up all night.I am not camping,I am in a great hotel,it is not suppose to happen. And I checked out one day earlier because of this, and they didn't give me one day refund.Maui is beautiful,Love here!

THE BEST MAUI HAS TO OFFER We come back to the Fairmont Kea Lani year after year and are never disappointed. Friendly staff who offer prompt and professional service. It s nice to see the same staff each year and build the relationship with them. The new GM is very friendly and minor improvements amongst the resort are noticeable. Rooms are always cleaned well and the dining options are plentiful. Great beach and close to The Shops at Wailea. We will continue to stay here. We LOVE the Fairmont.

We had a wonderful time. The best beach. Beautiful hotel, great restaurants and best location. Our room was beautiful and comfortable. The pool area was grrat.True luxury. My son booked daily workouts and weight training with Clive. He arranged early workouts on the beach and brought all the equipment necessary for a great experience. It was a wonderful experience for him. He is an extremly knowledgable trainer and the results showed. Thank you Clive for making this experience even better. Also, at the restaurant KA our server Rich was amazing! Also scuba Dave was excellent. He was kind and patient with my kids. We will be back.

Very friendly staff. outstanding services. Cool isn't crazy. Grand wailea pool is much better. However it's not crazy busy and you can usually get a spot by the pool on the Grand wailea

Very nice hotel. You get what you pay for. It's very expensive, but you certainly receive the service for it.
My only real complaint is the lack of directions in how to reserve chairs at the pool and the ocean.
Another thing that was annoying is that my husband has had gastric bypass surgery and eats less than our 12-year-old but was charged full price for the buffet, even though he has the card to prove he had surgery. Every other buffet or similar place we have been has charged him the child's price. It was unfortunate they would not bend.

Pros: the resort is in a great location with lots of amenities and restaurants. The grounds are large with reasonbly sized pools and a nice beach. Check-in was quick and easy and the staff are friendly. The resort is beautiful and has terrific views.
Cons: most of the loungers at the pools are reserved cabanas that are almost always empty. So if you want to hang around the pool for a bit, but not for long enough to justify renting a cabana, then you may be hard-pressed to find vacant loungers, because even though most of the loungers are empty, you can't use any of them since most are reserved. There are also very few trees umbrellas, or cabanas (that aren't reserved) to provide shade near the pool. So if you are sunburnt, you will have nowhere to go with shade. A major con was the lack of a system for verifying people's age at the pool bar. I went with my partner and we are both in our twenties and frequently get asked to provide ID. The problem with this at the pool bar is our ID is not waterproof. So even though we are of age, we were often denied service at the pool bar since we didn't bring our wallets into the pool. The resort would benefit from a wrist-band system that all other resorts I have been to have implemented.

On the way home from snorkeling at Secret Beach, we decided to seek into the pools here to rinse off the salt water. Everyone was wonderful, towels were readily available, and the soothing aloe cream felt great on my sun burn. Did not try to charge drinks to fictitious room. Will stop again.

I'm no stranger to Fairmont Resorts but this was my first stay at Kea Lani---it lived up to my expectations and then some. From the day I made the reservation months ahead to the moment I checked out, the service was impeccable, even when I had tailored requests/inquiries about activities on the island (think Disney's Beauty and the Beast, but with a tropical flair). Accommodations were beautiful. If you're a foodie, definitely make some time to try out K (loved one of their dishes so much I ordered it again via room service a couple days later---and I *never* do that), and inquire about the food/drink-related activities. For that matter, contact the hotel for the whole activities list because there's lots going on for adults and kids alike. Also, kudos to the staff at Pacific Dream Photography and Willow Stream Spa--they made my stay even more special and couldn't have been nicer.
Finally, the location was also great---adventures on Maui tend to require a drive, so being as centrally-located as possible, and only 30min from the airport is perfect.
Thank you for a lovely stay, you all--it was exactly the relaxing decompression experience I needed after a long work year. I look forward to visiting again.

We would go back for sure, great facilities, but skip Ko for dinner, good food but mediocre service and overpriced in the extreme. The $50 bottle of wine we ordered was out of stock and so they suggested an $80 bottle at full price! Service was rushed until we pulled a manager over to complain.

Beautiful hotel. I loved the lei welcome arrival and adult only pool. Amazing views from any room, even if you aren t facing the water um, hello, you re in Maui, it s beautiful everywhere! Lots of lounge chairs on the lawn to relax and read a book, or just take a nap. Food at the bar is great, and easy self park is great in the nearby lot. If you want to explore another hotel in Wailea, just walk down the beach path. I wouldn t hesitate to book at this hotel again!

Resort met all expectations, great amenities, satisfied with overall value for money.
Staff were very friendly and accomodating, received great recommendations on local places to visit, which was especially helpful as this was my first time in Hawaii.
Self-parking is included with the resort fee, which was a plus as well. Pool areas were clean and not too busy, with attentive service.
Shuttle service in a new Cadillac Escalade was also included. Would definitely stay here again.

My mom and I will be celebrating our birthdays in Maui this August 2019 staying at the Fairmont Kea Lani and we had some questions regarding the different room types. Rie Tekahashi, Leisure Sales Manager at the Fairmont Kea Lani was very prompt in responding to my email and took the time to explain the differences in the two rooms we were debating on. She assured me the room we selected which is the Signature Ocean View Suite would bring a truly enjoyable view :) We feel more confident now with the choice of picking the Fairmont for our destination. I can see they care and value their guests by responding quickly and with great customer service. We can't wait!

Depends on what your looking for. It was everything we weren t looking for. I will be doing vrbo s from now on. The resort fee is 40.00 a day plus 35 for parking a day. The food is super expensive!
I will stay in Lahaina next time in a vrbo. Loved that side of town. Super cute stores, great food. Your along the coast and there s surfers everywhere. Which is fun to watch. Save your money and go some where much cheaper. Fairmont is a rip off. 240.00 a person for a 60 min massage. Blows my mind. We will not be coming back here. Don t eat the breakfast everyday either. It gets super boring. Same stuff everyday at the buffet. Your better going off grounds to eat like we started to do. Much cheaper and way better food.
Don t get me wrong. The grounds are beautiful!! The staff was amazing, the rooms and beds are great. But I guess there s a price to pay for all of that.
If you have a ton of money to blow, then this is your spot.

We went to KO for happy hour. GREAT bang for your buck. We ordered quite a few pupus anticipating smaller dishes, not the case. Anticipate big portion size They were nice enough to box up what we couldn't shove in our mouths. Tasty food, lovely service and a nice view of the serenity (no children) pool area.

A classic resort with all the amenities and fixtures of a traditional, high end hotel. The adult serenity pool gives older guests an area to relax. The entire property is family friendly with plenty of areas to lounge. The beach is accessible to the public, but isn't easy to get to unless you are a hotel guests, which means it doesn't get crowded.

This place is incredible! We were blown away by everything. From the giant rooms to the beautiful grounds.
The shuttle service is great for those who don't have a car and there are a lot of other amneties to make sure you are as comfortable as possible and everyone has been extremely kind and answered whatever questions we have had.
There are three or four great restaurants located at the Kea Lani and many more close by when it comes to food.
I'm not sure if our room is mountain view or garden view but it is still so pretty looking outside.
I could go on and on about how wonderful this place is. But, long story short, I highly recommend that you visit this resort! We couldn't have picked a better place for our honeymoon!

We spent our honeymoon here and it was spectacular in every sense of the word. Phenomenal suites and service. Take advantage of happy hour wherever you can for food and drinks as it is pricey. Adult pool is very relaxing with lots of available seating. We didn't end up getting a cabana because there were so many other great seating areas available. Evenings are quiet with most restaurants emptying out by 9-930pm. We're Fairmont platinum members and were treated like royalty the entire trip. 10/10 we will be back!

The staff was friendly but not very personable. I had a very frustrating checkout experience, probably the worst I've ever had, much worse than I expect for a resort like the Fairmont hotels. The same check out person worked with me four times, and forgot me and had to start all over again every time. The Bellboy left behind one piece of luggage that I had to come back to get. The front desk just couldn't seem to communicate among each other. They did offer a complimentary hospitality suite after check out in order to freshen up after going to the beach, which was very generous and convenient. The facilities were clean and classy, they had beach umbrellas, beach chairs (a little worn), a canoe experience that was fabulous, reef safe sunscreen, GoPro rentals, area shuttle, all complimentary.

We stayed at this facility for our honeymoon from ...
We stayed at this facility for our honeymoon from 19 to 22 September. It is a very nice and welcoming structure but, for the price paid, we expected much more. At the time of check in we were informed that we would have to pay a mandatory extra fee of $ 40 a night which would have allowed us access to a range of services and experiences made available by the hotel and bookable with the concierge. It was a pity that immediately after checking in and going to the concierge to book the canoe experience, we were told, for our great disappointment, that there was no place available on the dates of our stay. The same thing happened the next day when we tried to book the photography experience in the Pacific: the first availability that was offered to us was 29, or about 10 days later (mah!). In summary we paid 40 dollars a day to take advantage of the only service really available and that is the water in the room that among other things turned out to be just over half a liter total per day for 2 people. The icing on the cake at check out: among the various fees and charges charged to our credit card there was also an order in the room for a dinner of more than 100 dollars that we never made. Only after informing the employee that they had never made this order was this expense item removed from the charges. Frankly we travel a lot and are used to very high standards of structure and find this really unacceptable.
