My husband and I spent the first 5 nights of our honeymoon here and it didn't disappoint. We loved waking up each morning to watch the sunrise from our patio (I highly recommend an ocean view room). We really liked that there was an adult only pool on the resort! The food at all of the restaurants were really good including the morning breakfasts. The staff was also very friendly. We definitely want to come back for another visit!

We loved our stay at this Fairmont! It was a beautiful old resort that is impeccably maintained. The room was unexpectedly huge and gave two girls a ton of space for everything. The property was also large, so lots of chairs around the pool, and right on the beach. There is free self-parking which is incredibly convenient. I do wish things were open later at night as the resort is a bit far from town so if you go out for dinner/drinks you have to worry about driving back. Also our room key kept stopping working which was a bit annoying because we had to trek down to the lobby constantly to get it fixed. But these are minor details to an overall amazing few days there, highly recommend this resort!

Excellent service & loved the different pools. There's an adult pool for 18+ which is great for a quiet relaxing experience. Other pools have hot tub & water slides. They offer kayaking and snorkeling tour which is a must do! Tour guide Chris made the kayaking trip fun & educational. Awesome experience!

The hospitality of the staff is world class. Coming from San Diego I am blown away by the beach. The water doesn t stink and the sand is silky smooth. Breakfast buffet is kept fresh and has plenty of variety. Looking forward to coming back next year!

Amazing in every way, best service we have ever had. They go above and beyond at every turn. Beautiful beach, great food and drinks, amazing pools and the best staff I have ever had at a resort. We even had a travel emergency with the Maui airport and they took great care of us for an extra night. It was a vacation to remember in every way and a lot of that is because of the Fairmont. I'd give them 10 stars if I could.

Nice breakfast buffet and good ambient.
The coffee and tea was nothing especially remarcable despite the good food.
There wad missing a good expresso or some breakfast cocktail ...

It offers a number of complimentary services like ...

It offers a number of complimentary services like wi-fi, 2 bottles of water per day, mini muffins in the morning, ice team throughout the day, free beach chairs to enjoy a beautiful sunset, etc. Among them, the free "canoe experience" is something worth of doing.

This is a one-hour session with a maximum of 4 participants. Two very experienced local "canoe masters" will train and guide the whole session. You will get wet during the session, so please dress appropriately. You won't be allowed to carry many things with you (and you will have to leave them on the shore unattendedly). You don't have to be a good swimmer and wearing glasses is OK. As the the group paddle the canoe out to the ocean, you experience the beauty and tranquility right away. When the water is clear, you can see the coral reef and marine life right beneath the canoe. We have also encountered a manta ray a few times near the surface. Over a distance away, we have sightings of whales (in February). The canoe master used a underwater microphone to show us the busy calls of whales. During the trip, the master allowed us to make a few dives into the water to see more things. It's a 5-star experience!

The hotel offers a free shuttle service to closeby places. On the way back, it wasn't reliable for us. We had called them 3 times and waited for about an hour. and finally, they had to send a bellman to pick us up. This may be due to the bad communication between the bell's desk and the shuttle driver during an inrush of hotel guests. The overall service experience is good, but be aware and patient.

My husband and I stayed here for our elopement and part of our honeymoon. This place was absolutely amazing!!! The staff is so friendly and willing to help in anyway. The valet service was one of the best I ve every seen. I would like to thank Nacho for showing us around the resort and helping us get settled into our Villa.
Speaking of villa, the oceanfront villa was amazing! It had everything you could possible need including some great complimentary snacks. This place definitely gets 5 stars based on the staff, food, cleanliness, and ambiance. We will most definitely stay here again!

So much to love about this place!

So much to love about this place!

My family stayed at both the Fairmont and the Grand Wailea. Fairmont was the overall favorite for all of us, all kids - 4,11, 18 - would want to stay here again over the Grand. Fantastic service, large enough grounds without being overwhelming. Everything was well kept and luxurious. There is only one slide but you can do it nonstop with kids or alone because it really is fun for all ages. We were not ready to leave after 9 days and will never forget our time as a family at the Fairmont.

Strikes the right balance of fancy and still allowing you to do things (like park your own car, get your own ice, wipe your own ass). The swim-up bar has changed my search criteria for all future hotels.

Beautiful resort, nice beach, good food, great views from the rooms, but it took 4 days for them to respond to a problem I had and then they couldn't resolve it. The did comp some things to make up for it, but I already had a soured mindset by then.

This place is just amazing, simply put. It is easily the most elegant and luxurious place I ve ever stayed. Even though the neighboring resorts are also amazing, I just thought the atmosphere here was unmatched. The staff was sooo sweet and helped us with booking excursions, and even treated me on my birthday. Also, I don t know what it was about the room service guacamole, but I have been thinking about it ever since we left. It was a wonderful stay.

I'm giving the Fairmont Kea Lani one star not because it's not a beautiful place but because of the unprofessional nature of the workers especially in the restaurants and the stores on the property. It seems that the workers here in the restaurants and the chill Cafe only want to cater to the white gas who are here and they want to explain all the rules to the black guest who are here. I saw a white man in the Chow Cafe who bought some Alka but no one told him he could only drink it in the room or off the pot what I bought alcohol I was told that I was shocked but I said nothing I paid the bill and went to my room with the drinks and then promptly took them to the beach and enjoy the drinks on the beach with my wife. The pillows in the room on the bed or extremely flat it had the foldem over somebody needs to tell them to get the my pillows and every room. Kea Lani is a beautiful place but there's a problem Kea Lani is marketed as Heavenly White that's the translation of Kea Lani Heavenly White so you can see why there should be a sign in the geocafe that says that you don't need anybody telling you that when you're trying to have a good time on your vacation it's a real Buzz Kill.

The Fairmont Kea Lani Maui is a true luxury experience but without the hoity toity vibe. An excellent family-friendly destination, their service is impeccable, amenities abound, and the attention to detail is obvious yet understated - meaning, everything they do creates the atmosphere you want, but without the staunch "policies" I have found at other luxury-level resorts which they seem to need to keep up appearances.

Private (hotel only) beach access with chairs and umbrellas, etc, check. Ability to just lay out and veg all day on the beach or cool off in the ocean, check. Individual and group activities if you get bored laying out, check. Excellent restaurants (yes, plural), check. Cafe as the non-restaurant option when you want to grab something quick to get back out to one of the large pool locations or just relax back in your room, check. Big time breakfast buffet with everything you could want for whatever dietary path you're on (you have to do this!), big time check. Activity center for kids so you can enjoy some one-on-one time, thankful check.

Whether you want to dress buttoned up, or ready for the beach, all are welcomed and comfortable. I and my family have stayed at the Fairmont twice, each time for a week, and I count the days until our next visit! Mahalo nui loa, and aloha!

Rooms are large and well laid out. Grounds could offer a bit more...for example just a simple pool and adult pool is situated in a poor location.

Overall recommend the property mostly because of the room layout and wonderful beach / beachwalk path.

I am not sure about the room condition or service level because I am not staying. The lobby is open, so there are plenty of sofas where the wind is cool and relaxing at noon. I relaxed while drinking a cup of coffee at the market inside the hotel, which was great. If you are staying in the Wailea area, please visit us once.

We are very pleased with our week at this resort. The property was well maintained and beautiful.
The restaurants on the property, especially Ko, were very good.
Upon arrival, we were pleasantly suprised that the Fairmont had provided us with a chilled bottle of champagne and some delicious chocolates in recogntion of our 40th anniversary and my 70th birthday.
The staff was professional, pleasant , accomodating and very helpful. As an example, Dee at the concierge desk worked diligently for us in providing reccomendations and obtaining reservations for a helicopter tour and for a number of fine restaurants.
Overall the experience was excellent and we look forward to staying there again.

The Fairmont Kea Lani lives up to its 5+ star status. Wonderful facilities, from the grand lobby entrance, to the koi fish pond and amazing waterpool / outdoor lounge area. Highly recommend a visit when in Maui.

What a beautiful property and service was excellent! The rooms are fabulous and turn down service is exceptional. Breakfast buffet is the best I've ever had. Self parking is free. Beach is gorgeous. Can't say enough good things about our stay, well worth it!!!

Wonderful hotel - great service, great rooms, and great property, with a nice sandy beach right in front of the hotel, with towels, umbrellas, chairs, snorkels, etc. for rent (mostly free) for hotel guests. When renting snorkeling equipment (free for first hour) there's a reef right off to the right of the hotel's beach where you can see many tropical fish and several sea turtles regularly.

The on-premises restaurants are good, if pricey (no surprise), but several other restaurants are easily walkable from the hotel. The concierge was super helpful in providing guidance for activities on Maui, making dinner reservations when necessary, and general knowledge of the area, easily the best concierge I've ever spoken to.

Stayed here while on a destination wedding week. The Fairmont sets he standard for a gorgeous luxurious Maui hotel. Service was excellent! Food was great! We were all smiles as we relaxed and let them make our vacation one to remember. I can't recommend them highly enough - worth every penny.

Staying here was a phenomenal experience. The Shops at Wailea are within walking distance, but the Fairmont provided complimentary shuttle service. The adult only pool was far enough away from the other pools that there was not any loud disruptive noise. The beach area was beautiful and every staff member was extremely friendly and helpful.

Amazing. Rooms were beautiful. Big tubs! Walk in shower! Double sinks! Views were beautiful. Food at the hotel restaurants was amazing. They have free 1 hour snorkel rentals! We went right by the hotel (off to the right of the main beach) and saw multiple sea turtles. The swimming pools were great. Especially the adult only pool. AND Impeccable service! Just one example : Our iron wasn't working in our room. My boyfriend called to complain. They brought us another iron but it still didn't work. He called again. This time they not only came up with a brand new iron still in the box right away. Later that day while we were out they brought us a nice plate of fresh fruit (apple, banana, kiwi, orange and a bunch of strawberries) and a big jar of Hawaiian macadamia nuts, with a card apologizing for the inconvenience. Can't wait to go back.

We booked this with Costco. We just returned from our 7 night stay. I would absolutely do this again! The resort was incredible. We loved every minute we spent there and will for sure return again.

I just returned from a stay at the Fairmont Kea Lani, and was pleased, by and large by our experience. The service is very good. Everyone is friendly and helpful.
Every spa treatment- all 5 I tried- was wonderful. The spa facilitiy, in which to relax, before and after treatments left something to be desired.
The absolute highlight of our stay, for me, was complimentary yoga with Rose, Tuesday through Saturday. I wondered in early Tuesday, and wound up looking forward to every session after that!
Rose is priceless. The very fact the resort offers someone of her calibre and frequency, says quite a lot in favor of this resort!
I will be back, and looking forward to the yoga sessions, and the "breathing" sessions, which I didn't know about until my last day.

Where to begin... Everything is handled for you, from luggage to parking, to towels, to drinks. Join the presidents club, it is well worth it! They also have a line you can text for your every need or question. The rooms are spacious and beautiful, the lobby has jaw dropping sculptures and a fountain, there are multiple pools, multiple dining options, wifi, chargers for those lounging near the pools, and a short walk to the beach. We took the Intro To Scuba activity and had an absolute blast. If you can afford it, go here!

Another beautiful resort in wailea!! Great place to walk through and visit. Has some gorgeous views and a neat little store slash food counter. (Hard to describe). I didn't stay there but always walk through the resort when in wailea!!
I had lunch at the outdoor restaurant a few years ago and I loved it. Not sure about now but still worth a visit!
