Beautiful oceanside view. Blinding white building but artistic architecture. Pools are 24/7 so that's awesome. Walking distance to beach and shops but also provides free shuttle service and parking so that's another plus.

Great and friendly staff, very helpful. Rooms are large and comfortable. Loved the separate adults pool for some relaxation. The beach is beautiful too! Stayed here a long weekend and loved it!

Ate at Nick's fishmarketfor dinner. Get reservations when you can. If not, shoot for happy hour. This place is the business's when it comes to local fish dishes. Meals can get $$$ so budget accordingly.

Wonderful resort, located in front of a deserted beach, surrounded by nature and beautiful gardens, with several swimming pools, a calm and warm sea, typical attractions, such as shows by Ula-Ula dancers, paddles of Hawaiian canoes, with the right to walk through other nearby islets. Incredible room, large, luxurious, very comfortable. Impeccable service.

One of those special places. You arrive, and immediately start to relax. Nice pool, great beach. Pool side dining is expensive, and so so, but Nick's fish house is a good as Mama's, and you can stumble back to your room.

My husband and I stayed at the Fairmont Kea Lani for our honeymoon and our entire experience was stellar! Our room was beautiful and spacious, the amenities were definitely resort-class, the food was delicious, and the staff were friendly. We miss our room and wish we were back in Maui. We can't wait to go back!

The Fairmont knows how to impress. We were on our honeymoon last week and they did a fantastic job welcoming us. Gorgeous resort, close to Makena Beach and Kihei just above, we had an unbelievable time staying with the Fairmont. Thanks for a beautiful stay!

For our second trip to Maui, we decided to stay at the Fairmont Kea Lani in Wailea. This resort is gorgeous! The grounds are beautiful and the staff is incredibly friendly. We love that they constantly refer to you by name. Just a personal touch that we haven't seen at many other resorts. The restaurants on site are a bit spendy but delicious. If you want more affordable options, the town of Kihei is a short 10 minutes up the road. The resort also has 3 pools and its own beach. If you hang out by the pools, be sure to ask for a "Lava Flow". Yum!
The only thing some might consider a downside about this resort is the location. You are definitely a bit further away from the more well known parts of Maui. Kaanapali is about an hour away and Lahaina is about 45 minutes. The flipside is that you are literally minutes away from Makena Beach. Overall, we would definitely consider staying here again!

I stayed with some friends here recently and had a fantastic experience. We had such as terrible flight experience, but the staff here changed everything for us. We all especially appreciated the help of the manager Adam Hawley. He was warm and friendly, and very funny. He followed up with after check-in, too, to make sure everything was perfect for us.

The hotel and grounds were excellent. The dining here is amazing.

Very happy with this experience.

This has to be the BEST hotel I ve ever stepped foot in. The rooms are absolutely beautiful and well-maintained. The views of the beach are very pretty especially at sunset. The beach isn t the only beautiful part. The restaurants are amazing. It is in such a great location in the area, which is walking distance to the beach and a tiny drive to the golf course. The entire hotel has a relaxing feel.

What a lovely hotel. Just a perfect getaway to celebrate our anniversary. The grounds, our suite, and the beach were all beautiful. The breakfast every morning was amazing. Mainly, the staff made it an awesome stay. I hate to check out but I certainly would not hesitate to return or to recommend it to friends and family

Big expensive hotel. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Room in big and comfy. Ko restaurant is overpriced. Not enough things to do for 3 yo. No config rooms at the beach. Good overall, not perfect though.

Most people will give this 4 or 5 stars. The hotel if nice, friendly/helpful staff, lovely pool, solid location but it just wasn't my style. Stay if you like the big luxury hotels but I would go for something smaller with a cooler vibe where my room is right above the beach next time.

Very dissatisfying stay..dirty villas, rude staff..false advertisement would never go to any Fairmont and will advise all never to trust fairmont advertisement..villas very poor condition..you have to nag Housekeeping to get villa clean.. so very not worth 10 dollars a night much less 2000..

Got to spend some time in one of their villas. Each villa has its own mini pool and is a short walk to the beach. The beaches by the property are fairly secluded and not full of tourists like something in Waikiki. Staff is extremely helpful and responsive.

Huge resort with a wealth of different options and areas depending on your mood. I loved lounging in the day bed by one of the many pools. You can see how this place caters for families, couples and kids without skipping a beat. Whether you're in the mood for Pou Hana (a drink at the end of the day) in the very cool Luanna bar or a luxury dining experience at Ko you might find you don't want to leave this place. Not to mention the beach is right at your doorstep and it's a beauty! We got lucky on our visit and saw the most amazing sunset - it seriously doesn't get any better than this.

We visited Maui for the first time and stayed at this property based on reviews on various social media sites. All of these were accurate and beyond our expectations.
This is one of the best property one can ask for and very family friendly and all activities are closer even though this is a medium size resort. Very neat and clean, friendly staff, different activities for kids of all ages, pools are nice and they serve a lot of free stuff by the poolside. As normal for Hawaii the food and drinks are pricier but when we explored other restaurants in Maui - we didn t feel it was expensive at all. Generally the place is expensive for food and drinks.
Private beach is very clean and served with enough chairs and umbrellas. Snorkeling, scuba diving lessons, canoe etc are added advantage and you don t have to go far to get these activities done unless you are looking for more advanced trips. We just had to drive for parasailing but rest were able to do it at this property or Kihei which is next town.
Koe and Ama bar and grill are nice and good food. Makena caffe for small snacks etc is good.
Overall we are so impressed that next trip we are staying here only
Lauau next door at grand Wailea was very good too.
Once you are in Wailea town you ll not like to go and stay at Lahaina or adjoining areas
Free yoga and fitness classes are very nice and relaxing

Note that this is pricey location ranging from 600-1000 dollars a night, but you are treated with that luxury and comfort as well

There's really nothing not to like about this resort the rooms are outstanding all with great views the property is beautiful water slides for kids . Like all resorts their overpriced and the food is really expensive other than that as long as you go there expecting that you'll enjoy it it's a great resort

They have a lot to learn about Hospitality.

Starting fe the pool staff , to the managers and the front desk.
Worst hotel experience EVER , and we travel twice a month.
Extremely disappointing

It probably deserves five stars for NOT being the Four Seasons (which looks like an ant farm - too many people). Great staff, gorgeous location, perfect beach. The rooms were being redone when we were there, and the renovation is pretty luxe. Loved the way time slowed down while we were there. Insanely good food at Nick's Fishmarket, which is almost certainly the best restaurant on the island. There's also a great little convenience store and deli, for mid day snacks, tanning lotion, sodas, et al. Big balconies on some of the ocean facing rooms - worth it! The lobby is open aired, with the ocean as a backdrop, with a wonderful shaded bar that has great drinks and the perfect view. Our friends go back every year - we'll certainly be back soon.

I love this all Suite resort. If your lucky enough an upgrade could mean being upgrading from a suite to a villa.

I love the 3 Bedroom villas. It a little pricey but convenience and comfort is priceless. 2 Full master suites, plus a room with 2 Full beds, kitchen and washer/dryer.

Love the Luana Lounge with live music and the kick-ass bartender Aaron! Cocktails are superb!

Probably one of the nicest hotel I've ever stayed at. The moment you arrive the front desk staff greets you with refreshments and Leis, and makes you feel welcomed. The room was big and beautiful and location was unbeatable. Lots of dining options available right inside the hotel including a market where you can purchase laundry detergent to wash in their complimentary washer and dryer. This is a stay I will always remember.

Nice
