I have nothing but amazing things to say about this place. We never repeat vacations but this was the first hotel we came back to within a year. We stayed with our parents and son in an ocean front suite and it was spacious enough for all of us. Pool and slide is great for a child and overall the property is very spacious and you don't feel cramped. Staff is very friendly and professional. They just get it done. Keep it up!

It was terrible, we moved to 3 different rooms, all of them had cockroaches and other bugs crawling everywhere... the microwaves and fridges were unclean as well, I would not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy!!

The hotel and room were absolutely beautiful. The shopping, although there wasn t too much at the resort, was great too, and the food as well. (There is more shopping right around the corner at the mall so no complaints!) Visiting this resort was one of the key factors in making my vacation to Maui better than any other vacation I ve had. In addition I d like to include that the resort offers many fun activities, one that we participated in was scuba diving lessons. I thoroughly enjoyed the scuba diving, and our instructor Michael South did a great job teaching us, first time divers, what to do and making the experience amazing. I d only suggest that there is some sort of divider in the pool while the instructor is teaching, as it at some points was difficult to deal with other guests; they were unaware of the lesson that was going on and new divers were almost stepped on. This was unfair not only to those learning, but also the instructor who was focusing on teaching. Anyways, I m so glad that my family and I visited. Overall, this resort is THE place to be when in maui.

I stayed at this place for 4 days. The resort is really beautiful and the service is really good. I went to four seasons as well on that trip too but Fairmont steel the show for me. The breakfast was really good and the good thing is the pool remains open 24*7. Snorkeling gear are included in resort fee so don't forget to make use of them. The rooms are really huge and clean. They had mini refrigerator and microwave too. Will stay there again if get a chance to go to Maui again.

It was really relaxing, no noisy neighbors and the pools are great to for kids lots of time to make friends. The food as above and beyond so delicious. Very welcoming community and very relaxing stay

Amazing. Just can't say enough. Staff was incredible, from the minute we pulled up and they quickly got our bags and put leis around our necks to the bartenders and wait staff. Beautiful sunset views from the myriad chairs, loungers, and benches all around. Not too many screaming kids, which was great for a relaxing honeymoon. It was extremely quiet and peaceful no matter where we were on the property and it was perfect!

Its a beautiful resort. Food is expensive. Pools arent too great. Staff is helpful. Rooms are great and clean. Beachfront was pretty small but well kept. Four seasons which is a ten min walk down by the beach has a big beautiful beach front!

Amazing place! Great for a honeymoon! The amenities are phenomenal....and the staff does so well at making it a luxury resort.

You do not have to leave. You could stay here all day.

We loved every minute and will remember the place fondly.....even the cats and rooster that roam the grounds.

I have loved staying at Fairmont Kea Lani from the moment my husband and I pulled up at front and were greeted with a drink and a lay. We arrived early and they let us check in early along with giving us an upgrade since one of ours wasn't quite ready and it was our anniversary! The rooms are awesome with huge balconies and great views! I feel they have gone above and beyond to make our anniversary special. All of staff is super nice and always greets you. The grounds are clean. The housekeeping does an incredible job. They make sure you are well taken care of the entire stay. The concierge is super helpful with tips on anything you might want to do. The food good at Ko and Ama Grill is fantastic. The snorkeling is great and you see lots of turtles right on the private beach! They let you use snorkeling gear for the first hour for free. They set up complimentary chairs tables and umbrellas for you. There is sunscreen and aloe close to the beach and pools for you to use. We were able to schedule one of their canoe rides one morning and it was fantastic! There are a washer/dryer located on each floor. I have loved it here and it is so beautiful! I would love to come back and stay here again!

Average resort, nothing special and in many ways showing its age, rooms and resort just feel several decades dated. Nice beach, clean and maintained, just dated, not at all on level with other 5 stars in the area...Pretty location and views but many rooms are far from the ocean and low rooms have no view, compared to resorts up the street (Andaz, Four Seasons...) that are designed so ALL rooms have ocean views. Also spa- descriptions are misleading as some amenities are only available in the women s side and not accessible to men or vice versa...such as the aromatherapy, and sound showers...only on the women s side?!?

We have stayed at almost every hotel in Wailea and this hotel seems to draw us back again and again. It's grand entrance with those grand and beautiful Cook pines are like a warm welcome home each time we arrive. The folks are always welcoming too..They make every effort to be accommodating to each guest.

Newer hotels in the area are lovely as well, but feel a bit pretentious. Wailea is a lovely and peaceful part of Maui and the Fairmont with its wonderful architecture and feel makes one never want to leave, just ask my wife.

Notes- take advantage of what's included in the resort fee. The cultural canoe experience is delightful. The free sun protection lotion is good stuff and one less thing to pack. Decent wifi is a plus. And they just started a text service for anything and everything you may need! It's fabulous! We made reserved an activity and dinner right from our beach chair..wonderful!

Fairmont Kai Lani is a hidden gem.

The Kea Lani was wonderful. We had the pleasure to stay in one of the villas near the beach and we thoroughly enjoyed everything about it. The location is beautiful. The service and amenities were outstanding. The beach never felt too crowded. And I can't say enough about the included breakfast buffet. It was one of our favorite parts of our stay.

Back at it again. I have asked to speak to the general manager for 7 days with no response. Not representative of the Fairmont service I have experienced elsewhere. They pull the lobby coffee at 630a so they can make you stand in line at the market and spend $4.50 for the same cup. Four Seasons pulls theirs at 10a. If you like being 'nickel and dimed' this is your spot. Landscaping is beautiful- the only thing that makes it worthy of one star.

A white Greek-style (?) Hotel that I decided to visit for the first time 20 years ago and said, "We will give you a wedding here!" All rooms are spacious suites with a separate bedroom and living room. I've never stayed, but at first glance, the villa room had a small private pool. If you take the shuttle bus to Shops at Wailea, you will find shops and supermarkets that can satisfy your desires.

The place is beautiful but the food was just ok, my Mahi was dry maybe over cooked and the drinks were too strong and too sweet. I love a strong drink but this was odd... I ordered a Mai Tai and it was undrinkable, they switched it and made it worst... it was either the syrup or the quality liquor but I ended up not drinking it and still paid for it. The service was slow and not attentive. I hope it was just our experience but too sad because we won t recommend this place to anyone. I didn t give it a one star only because the place is so beautiful... so bad the service and food/drinks are not

Wonderful high end hotel and it's in Maui! Not cheap but worth every penny. The entire property is beautifully appointed, landscaped and staffed. Has the best restaurant we visited in Maui. The total experience and was perfect setting for our 50th wedding anniversary. We'll be back!

Nice.

World Class Service and Amenities

World Class Service and Amenities
We visited Hawaii, specifically Maui, for the first time. A friend of ours stays at the Four Seasons in Wailea every year and suggested it or the Fairmont. So we booked the Fairmont as it wasn't quite as expensive and still had amazing reviews. We booked through Costco so we didn't deal with the hotel for that but I assume they'd be great with that as well.

Upon arriving, we were greeted by the staff with a couple Lei's and fresh juice. They took our luggage and swept it right off to the room while we checked in.

Arriving to the room, there was champagne on ice waiting for with gourmet chocolates. They didn't have any oceanview rooms with king beds the week we wanted, so we settled for a partial view, hoping it wouldn't be disappointing, and it wasn't! The view was still gorgeous and in a way I liked it more than having a bunch of people in pools below us. Our side was dead silent other than birds and the random person.

The room is fully stocked with great quality products. The shampoo, conditioner, body wash etc...are all Le Labo Rose 31 which were wonderful! The mattress and pillows were very comfortable, nice flat screen TV's and big open areas including a very large walk in shower.

Downstairs in the lobby, there is always water and tea (which changes every day) available with cups. Every pool also has water along with the beach. There's also sun bum SPF30 and cool down lotions at each pool and the beach. They all have towels stocked at each one as well, so no need to pack or bring any.

The pools were all wonderful, including an 18 and up only pool. Another pool for kids with a slide that comes down from the pool attached to the bar at AMA's.

The hotel staff are all the friendliest staff at any hotel I've stayed at. There was always someone ready to put towels down on chairs or assign umbrellas at the beach.

Nearly everything is complimentary. Umbrellas and chairs on the beach are free, body boards, snorkel equipment, paddle boards, kayaks, you name it and the note has it complimentary for use. About the only thing to pay for was a private cabana at the pool.

We bought the breakfast package and ate at the buffet each morning which was the best breakfast buffet I've ever had. Always had things like bacon, eggs, eggs Benedict, every bread or muffin you can imagine, and fruits stocked. Some things rotated daily like apple crepes, or blueberry pancakes. There was fresh pancakes and waffles, a yogurt bar, oatmeal bar, gluten free area, fresh juices and milk, Chef available to make omelette or anything else you'd like that he's able to do.

There is way more that could be written but suffice it to say this is the best hotel I've ever stayed at and can't wait for the next time!

At arrival, our booking could not be found. Not our mistake! Reason was that the accountable hotel staff didn't read page 2 of the relevant mail. "We always get a one pager, so we never read a second page." No excuse at all. We had to pay again (got a refund at leave, though). "Check it out with your travel agent. We are not responsible." They were!! Our response: "We paid already, the agency is on the other side of the world - it's 3 am overthere." "Sorry, we can't help it." No service at all (our room rate was over 900$ per night - not 90...).
Price policy is ridicoulus: extra payments for everything! Breakfast was 45$ per person.
Never again!! Second star is for location.

The service was unmistakably the best I've had at a hotel The views were stunning and our room was very comfortable The grounds were immaculate and quiet, even as families played in the pool nearby. This was a very serene hotel. Best of all, Polo beach is easily one of the best beaches for quietly relaxing in the sun and playing in the surf - no stones or shells and the waves never get too rough.

Ate lunch at Ko. This place has the best fish on island for a reasonable price compared to others of similar quality. Staff was friendly, setting was beautiful, and like I said the food was delicious.

WE stayed in one of the the villas which are directly alongside the ocean. The beach was excellent for water activities and the plunge pool for each unit was refreshing. The villa was beautiful with every amenity imaginable as well as a wonderful view of the ocean from the main floor and the second floor. The beds and other furniture were clean and comfortable. Even though the accommodations were outstanding and the grounds were gorgeous, the aspects that make this resort a standout center around the attentive, professional and caring staff throughout the resort. Every need was attended to by friendly, enthusiastic staff members who ensured that we felt welcomed and comfortable. We sincerely thank the Fairmont Kea Lani staff for a relaxing and wonderful stay and look forward to our next visit. Our stay was October 25 - 28, 2019.

This was a fantastic experience. We were looking for a fairly luxurious resort for our anniversary which would still be within our budget, and found this place through Hotwire. And boy, did we get lucky! Right from the moment our car rolled into the fantastic property, we were mesmerized.

The hotel has a great decor which highlights local Hawaiian culture in everything. The suite was surprisingly large, especially the huge bathroom. The service was also prompt and courteous, continously checking on us over SMS trying to make our stay more comfortable. They provide complimentary snorkel gear, umbrella and chairs by the beach. They really have attention to detail, having stocked up on sunscreen and soothing gel to provide to the guests for free.

We had initially planned on going around the island, but were so awestruck by the resort that we decided to just relax inside. All the places inside are treats to they eyes, and the food served is really tasty and varied. Considering that the hotel is a little high-end, the price on most food and drinks were decent, especially during the happy hours at various restaurants inside. There is a complimentary car service to and from the hotel within a 3 mile raius. For people who want to save on dollars - there is a great deli and grocery called Island Gourmet Market to which you can avail this complimentary car ride. We used this car ride to go to the luau at Te Au Moana, which was wonderful.

They had a separate adult pool, which was really nice and private. They even had bar stools inside the pool by Ama - their poolside bar, so we could multitask between being in the pool and sipping on the great cocktails on the menu.

Overall, I'd recommend this to anyone who wants to spend a beautiful time in Maui. And I'm definitely going back.

Absolutely breathtaking! My husband and I stayed here for the first part of our honeymoon. The resort, the staff, the beach, the food. Everything was spectacular. The breakfast buffet is amazing, they have lots of options for allergies, including myself with a gluten allergy. We also had massages at their spa which was absolutely fabulous! We will definitely be back

Second time at the Fairmont Kea Lani and second time in Maui , first our room was upgraded to a partial ocean view/garden/pool (by grill and bar) perfect angle (RM 222). Then they sent birthday chocolates for my boyfriend s belated birthday. It truly rekindled a relationship in need of healing. Thanks Fairmont Kea Lani. And you staff is top notch, the nicest service on the whole island. See you again in 2 years

Beautiful property and we loved the Wailea beach walk. We were upgraded to a mini suite which was goegeous. We did the breakfast package which was worth it. Go early for breakfast as it gets crowded. Nick's fishmarket was also terrific. Only downside was that housekeeping was a bit slow and didn't refill waters in the room which we paid the $38 resort fee for in part. We would return here.

Room is a musky, dated and the couch felt damp. We asked for an upgrade given that it is our honeymoon but were told they were at maximum capacity except of course, for their most expensive suite. I am not sure if that is at all accurate. Since we are staying at this hotel for a few days, we asked if we can be notified of any room becomes available. From speaking to the employee at the front desk, it did not seem that she cared or will in fact notify us. We were coming from the Montage hotel on the same island (which is by far the best hotel we have ever been to where the rooms are extraordinarily beautiful and where we were given an upgrade) so having this room at the Kea Lani left us disappointed. Further, we stayed at the Fairmont Orchid in the Big Island which was a great hotel and in comparison we found that the Kea Lani was lacking in more than one respect.

Absolutely five stars hotel. It looks for old one but like after refurbishment. The rooms are perfect very very clean! The stuff as usual at the hotels like that style is very kind, helpful, cleaning stuff doing amazing job. They clean our room 3-4 times per a day ;)
Hotel got three great pools, one of them is only for adults no kids aloud.
Hotel got great beach side, officially it s a public beach but we got 2, 3 rows with beds and umbrellas
All equipment and gears you can rent on a place.... some of them like boogie board is 9$/1h at local Boss Frogs rental you will pay 25$ per week! So be careful
In my opinion it s expensive Paradise but it s completely worthy!!!!
