Check in was great with a Lei and tropical (non alcoholic) drink. All rooms are suites and gorgeous! Very nice staff, great restaurants and very accomidating to food allergies. Highly recommend this little slice of Hawaii heaven.

We loved our stay at this hotel. The staff was truly amazing my 8 yr old granddaughter had a particularly great experience in the Keika Lani children's program with the director Bonney. They had a different learning excursion every day and she continued to play with kids she met at the pool in the afternoon. The whole experience was wonderful for all of us. Thank you Fairmont Maui.

Their overnight team doesn't know how to handle emergency situation. Their overnight manager never called me back. Also, their entire front office managers are very irresponsible. They like to pass on problems to other people. I spoke with 2 different Guest Relations Managers (1 male and 1 female), but was offered no resolutions nor they cared about my issue. Their Housekeeping Manager is very helpful. She's very empathetic. She was willing to help me even if it's not an housekeeping issue. (not like their Guest Relations team) Housekeeper in my room was very sweet and their breakfast servers are very nice.

Very nice but expensive. Pools are 24/7 and very clean. Bring your yetis with your own drinks. The beach is right there and perfect for families. Super close to incredible golf and shopping. Everyone is very nice and incredibly helpful. They have different activities daily and the coolest one is the skygazing on Tuesday night. Mike is great.
Views from the room are spectacular and ridiculous sunsets.

We stayed at the Fairmont the last few days of our honeymoon, and it was fantastic! Friendly service, incredible views, memories that will last a lifetime! Ama bar and grill was our favorite place to eat there, great variety of delicious view, in a beautiful setting. The breakfast buffet was tasty, but a little pricey.

Rooms are all suites - large, spacious and comfortable. Beach area is great, and the pool area is beautiful. The service is top notch and the experience of staying here feels like royalty. However, you're paying a high price for it. All in all definitely worth every penny

My wife and I just returned from our honeymoon in Hawaii. We went to Maui, Kauai and the Big Island. We stay at the Fairmont Kea Lani in Maui. Words can't describe how much my wife and I loved this hotel. I have been to several hotels both domestically and internationally and this is by far my FAVORITE HOTEL that I have ever stayed in. When we arrived we greeted with Hawaiian Lei's. Our room wasn't ready when we checked in and Ashley at the Front Desk provided us with a resort credit so we can eat and grab a drink until the room was ready. We barely sat down to eat before we received a text that the room was ready. The resort is beautiful. My wife and I think it is the perfect size resort...not to big and not to small. We had a partial ocean view room and it was amazing. We loved sitting on the balcony. The Adult Only pool was amazing. It was very relaxing and never too crowded. All the employees at the hotel are super friendly. They often refer to you by your names including the cleaning people which is awesome. Big shout out to Ronnie at the front desk. She was great and provided me answer to questions about Hawaii, things to do and helped me with a small issue I had. Overall we loved everything about this resort. We literally can't stop talking about it. We are telling all of our family and friends to stay here. Thanks for making our honeymoon memorable.

My wife and I got married at the Fairmont Kea Lani...

My wife and I got married at the Fairmont Kea Lani in August 2018 and it was easily the worst decision all thanks to our wedding coordinator: John Anderson. I didn t know one person could ruin one wedding like he did ours but let me tell you about ours and see if Fairmont Kea Lani is the right venue for your dream wedding.

In our wedding package, the Fairmont Kea Lani offered a live musician for ours. My wife and I wanted a live musician for the cocktail hour and expressed this to John and he said he can make it happen. In our wedding contract, it stated there would a live musician. In our notes, there would be a live musician. In our emcee s notes, there would be a live musician. So on our wedding day, why were there no live musicians and our guests had to listen to Pandora Radio .with COMMERCIALS? If John can t handle a simple wedding package what makes you think he can handle your dream wedding? John s lack of attention to detail was on display but it only gets better.

Our wedding was open bar but some of the specialty drinks (Mai Tais and Lava Flows) were by consumption . I had a feeling Fairmont Kea Lani would try to ring up on bill and John Anderson did not disappoint. We didn t post any signs advertising these drinks but told some guests about these drinks during the wedding. After the wedding, we find out that 72 lava flows and 3 mai tais were consumed . These drinks were never consumed. They had runners trying to pass out these drinks during cocktail hour. When these drinks were declined, they were hidden away behind the bartender yet John tried to charge us over $1,000 for these unconsumed drinks. I have been to many weddings in Hawaii including the Four Reasons Maui and the Disney Aulani (on Oahu) and I never seen any alcohol beverages being passed around like that and the wedding couple getting charged like that. When confronting John about this post-wedding, he stated that my guests were thirsty . This is not only unacceptable but unethical on John Anderson and the Fairmont Kea Lani s part. I told him that I wasn t going to pay that bill and he obliged. He knew what he did was wrong because he got caught red handed. John Anderson is the opposite embodiment of the Aloha Spirit by trying to squeeze every last penny from you.

Before the wedding, we asked John Anderson to store some engagement pictures and the Japanese Folding Cranes display which is essential for any Japanese weddings. These pictures would be displayed at the ceremony then transferred to the reception. During the ceremony, the Japanese Folding Cranes display was no where to be found. There was an empty easel with no crane display. You would think something was missing but then again John s incompetence comes into play yet again. For an establishment that only does one wedding a day, how difficult is it to store five pictures for a wedding? It took countless man hours to make the display and John Anderson and his team cannot store and find the display in a timely manner? After the wedding, John stated that he thought the Japanese Folding Cranes display was supposed to only for the reception. If that were the case, then why was he and his staff scrambling to put up the display with two hours left in the reception?

My wife and I were disappointed that we picked the Fairmont Kea Lani as our dream wedding destination. It was anything but a dream all thanks to one man: John Anderson. After the wedding, John was 100% in denial mode for anything that went wrong and was full of excuses. Anywhere but the Fairmont Kea Lani would have been a better venue. It was supposed to be one of the happiest days of our lives turned out to be one of the worst. We absolutely regretted this decision and we hope our wedding would be a cautionary tale for anyone considering the Fairmont Kea Lani. There are many beautiful wedding venues all around Maui but the services we received at Fairmont Kea Lani was terrible to say the least. The Fairmont Kea Lani may look like a pot of gold but all we received was a lump of coal.

This place is gorgeous. First class all the way. The grounds are pristine, the employees are extremely accommodating and the amenities here seem to be endless. From the moment you arrive the staff works to make sure your stay is comfortable and memorable. Pool attendants, beach attendants, concierge...anything you need they will find a way to get it done. If you are trying to decide where to stay, look no further. You will not be disappointed. Did I mention that this is an all suite hotel?

With so many wonderful resorts and hotels in the area do not make the mistake I did by staying here. Awful customer service, rude staff and filthy rooms. They treat their customers very poorly and especially do not respond to issues concerning sanitation.

This is by far my favourite place to stay on Maui. The first time I took my parents along with my wife and our three kids. We had two spacious rooms side by side; it made the family experience even more enjoyable. The pools were of course big hit my children & the beach is gorgeous. We saw turtles and dolphins while snorkeling. Overall the property is beautiful and I look forward to coming back.

We stayed here for our honeymoon. The photos online don't do justice to how beautiful the hotel is. Everyone who works here was very friendly and helpful. I have never stayed anywhere with such a high standard for excellence as the Fairmont Kea Lani. The sunset on the beach was stunning! Our stay coincided with a hurricane watch and the staff made sure to keep us updated on weather conditions and assured us that they had plenty of safety precautions in place. They even treated us to a free movie and popcorn in case of stormy conditions. Thankfully we didn't experience any hurricane conditions but it was great to see how prepared they were!

This place is paradise. I've been very impressed. The beaches, pools, and views live up to all my expectations. The staff is incredible too. This paradise is what other places try to emulate.

Had a lovely meal at Nick s. Commented that the grounds and hotel were beautiful and we should stay on property someday, then we interacted with the valet team, which was very rude. They intentionally made us and another party of three wait for transportation. They refused to transport us on the Fairmont shuttle because we were staying with the new kids on the block . Very bizarre behavior for a luxury property.

Absolutely amazing experience (other than the fact that it was our honeymoon and we were put in a room with two full-sized beds). Beach was perfect, poolside was fantastic. Spacious rooms, market was great for quick breakfast grabs, but pricey (like most things in Maui are). Love that the self-parking was included in day rate. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Will definitely be returning!

2/24/19 UPDATE: We booked another stay with the Fairmont Kea Lani for May of 2019 to celebrate our 3rd wedding anniversary. We booked through Costco back in November of 2018 and were notified just a couple of days ago that the Fairmount Kea Lani will have a major construction project going on that will impact our stay. I called the Kea Lani and spoke to a female manager to ask why we were being notified so late. I let her know that when I checked their social media pages and website back in December, there was nothing about any construction. She said they were just now notifying their guests. I explained to her that it is too late for us to get a refund from Costco. Costco said there is nothing they can do. I asked what they could offer to us to ensure we enjoy our stay and she told me to talk with the reservations department. I called the reservations department (a global department) and they told me to deal directly with the hotel. We are getting the run around and being treated quite poorly right now. I expected more from this establishment. This is a nightmare!

We stayed at the Fairmont for our honeymoon in May of 2018 and were pleased with overall experience. Our partial ocean view room was nice and clean, the breakfast buffet was DELICIOUS, and the hotel staff were always friendly. The grounds are well maintained and we especially loved the tiki torches at night. I'm taking one star off because our experience at the pool bar was not so pleasant. We ordered a couple of drinks and my husband asked for a double shot in his "lava flow." When we closed out our tab, we noticed the bartender charged $16 for one additional shot! That is OUTRAGEOUS, especially for a well liquor! The drink itself was $16. So basically, we paid $32 for 1 drink and an extra shot. For that price, they should have just added the rest of the ingredients. We brought this to their attention and were told "well that's how the computer rang up the extra shot, so that's what you owe." That was poor customer service on their part. An extra shot should not cost $16. Be careful how you order at the pool bar. Other than that our stay was magical and we are looking forward to another stay next May to celebrate our wedding anniversary.

Romantic ambience with energetic and hilarious staff. The food was an amazing culinary experience. The chef must have borrowed gods left hand and used it to delve out these delectable delights! Especially the escargot, Ahi risotto and Creme Brule dishes that I had tonight.
For those interested in dessert wines they had a fabulous Sherry and 20 year Tawny Port!!
**heaven in a bottle, do not miss out!! Great choice, there's something for everyone!!

Stayed here recently for my honeymoon and absolutely loved every second of it. The staff is very attentive and courteous on all levels. They give you bottled water each time when you arrive at the hotel and provide you with fresh bottles each day in your hotel room. There are 3 amazing pools on the property, one is an adult only pool (oooooh), one activity pool with basketball hoops and a water slide, and the other has a swim-up bar! The food is amazing at each property restaurant, along with a very good breakfast buffet!

The beach is a very short walk from your hotel room, and the beach attendants provide you with umbrellas and chairs for the day at no charge. The beach views are amazing with great sunset views, the water is always warm, and you can snorkel right at the beach for free! What can I say, this is a must stay for anyone, families and honeymooners can enjoy themselves as there is enough separation from families or couples. Book it next time you visit, you will not be disappointed!

Stayed for 2 nights for my sister's wedding. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. They helped to make a stressful situation less stressful by helping to take care of us. A crane display went missing and the coordinator, John, said he will investigate and will not go home until it is found. The display was eventually found and given to us. The rooms were beautiful. Only now, the view on the sw side are not that great. I would request a poolside ocean view. Other than that minor now, everything was great!

Extreme negative energy from the valet here. We were guests at their restaurant, Nick s, which was great. Upon leaving, there seemed to be some grievances with the Andaz, which they orchestrated and chose to take out on us. We waited with another Andaz party while 3 Fairmont shuttles were sitting unused. We kindly requested they take us, as the hostess at the restaurant said was an option. They refused stating she was misinformed. Another valet came up to the other party stating the Andaz doesn t want hotels shuttling their guests. This is a lie she made up for some reason. We ve seen the Andaz shuttle other hotels guests and they stated any wait over 10min they would think the other hotels would kindly take us if their shuttles are available (since we were guests at their establishment as well). The whole situation was unprofessional, unacceptable, and lacks the expected level of service from this type of establishment.
We are customers and guests on vacation expecting to relax and enjoy ourselves. The Fairmont needs to adjust their valet staff.
