Another fantastic Fairmont resort that you feel at home as soon as you enter it. Exceptional food and service never disappoints. Lots of space and loungers for late pool goers. Kids pool has a great little water slide travels from the upper pool to the lower one. Adult only pool is tranquil. Although it's a big resort, a quick walks get you to where you want to be quickly. Oh, bonus beach path alongside the ocean for the runners! We'll be coming back soon!

A really wonderful resort in every way. The beach is one of the better beaches on Maui, and has a wonderful walking path along the coast where you can visit other resorts and beaches. West Maui has the best views and sunsets. Great sunsets happened every night of my stay.
It is a family friendly resort but they do a good job at creating places for adults to enjoy without a bunch of kids running about. The adult pool is really beautiful with the blue tile and is a great place to read while in the water.
I did not bring my kids on the trip, but there is a fun slide for the kids and seems to be lots of activities for them to enjoy. While there were a lot of families about, they tend to stick to the everyone pool with the slide.
The new gym is top notch with great equipment including Pelotons. A great view of the adult pool and garden from this gym as well. Both massages I got were wonderful, and o highly recommend trying the various sauna, shower, and steam rooms available in the spa. A package was offered when I arrived to access the spa throughout my stay and that was well worth it. Typically you'll only have access while there for a treatment.
The rooms are ALL huge and well designed. I had a ground floor unit facing the north, so not the best view, but it was very quiet.
The one thing I'll mention is that there is a surprising lack of good hot tubs here. There are two, but both are small and one is even tucked right inside the slide area so it isn't very relaxing. I have heard that they are planning to redesign the adult pool area to include a hot tub soon, which would be a very desirable upgrade.

This 5 star hotel boast its properties, and amenit...
This 5 star hotel boast its properties, and amenities only for you to realized you paid $500-$2000 a night to be nickle and dime your whole vacation. It is just not worth paying that price to not have food included at any point in your stay, and extremely high prices with food at that. A decent breakfast will costs you over $23 dollars. Any side you ask for is $8 dollars which is ridiculous, and 1 cup of tea $7 bucks! I could have easily gone to another hotel and received breakfast with my stay.
Want to have a drink at night? Well that rum and coke is going to run you $11 dollars and if you like long island ice tea expect to pay $16 bucks. Better to go to the store and buy your bottle for that same price.
Hotel Kea Lani includes so called amenities or activities that are not even really free. You can use the boogie board for an hour for $9 dollars or all day for a little over $20 bucks. What they fail to tell you is that their beach is riddled with rocks and you cant boogie board there. Most of the guest were walking to the beach of the other hotel which had no rocks. More ideal for using the boogie board if you wanted to use it. You pay and rent EVERYTHING at this hotel despite you having paid for your stay. In our case a little over $600 a night just to be told you have to rent this or pay for that. Snorkeling was free but only once again for an hour. Same with using the canoe. Even the so called "complimentary photo shoot" is NOT really complimentary. Yea sure they will take your picture, but you must pay $400 bucks for the photos. Might as well have another guest at the resort take your photo on the beach no different.
As if the price gouging for food, and just plain existing at the hotel isn't bad enough trying to get food to come to you from outside of the resort is no easier. The hotel will supply you with a list of restaurants that can deliver through a site called Hopper Maui. This is a company similar to uber eats, however they are awful and once again, overpriced.
Calling outside restaurants to deliver at the hotel is a pain because the representatives are not very kind to the delivery people forcing them to come around back or some obscure entrance to deliver you food instead of just allowing them to come to the front desk. Its a wide open space, and it is never so busy that they can't get out and drop off food to that area taking less than 5 minutes of time. Our delivery person explained that representatives at the hotel aren't very kind and people don't like to come to deliver food there.
This is not the first time this hotel has been had guest try to urge change from them. It appears that management care more about lining their pockets than making their resort really worth while for individuals who are willing to dish out the amount it cost to stay here. I am very disappointed that my first 5 start hotel stay was at the hotel kea lani. I will not recommend this location to anyone. If you are paying almost $1000 dollars a night you really should be getting free breakfast and other complimentary things that are actually FREE during you stay. At this point I have no idea what I paid for while staying here. Why my room cost so much only to pay additional for EVERYTHING there made no sense.
Awful.

Wonderful resort. We really enjoyed Gary and the diving here. We saw Manta Rays, turtles, and plenty of tropical fish in their natural habitat. We also kayaked, paddle boarded, and loved the pools and swim up bar. Drinks are a little pricey. The rooms are suites and are very spacious. The beach is beautiful and easily accessible, with amazing views.

Views were beautiful. Unfortunately, I attended a restaurant on property which was very over priced. The burger was burnt around the edges and the salad still had dirt on it..not washed. The service was unprofessional. When I complained about the service and food, I felt as if the staff assumed I was looking for a free meal. Not a great feeling since I was on property for a spa day which is not cheap. Generally I felt this place is less professional than other Fairmont locations I've visited.

My husband and I choose to stay here for our honeymoon instead of having a wedding.... worse choice we could have made...The food from room service was the worse I have ever had. We paid 20 dollars each for hamburgers that we couldn't even choke down. We found BLOOD on the comforter that was NOT ours... It took them 2 days to change it. The assistant manager tried to make up for it by giving us a 150 credit to any of the hotels restaurants and a cabana by the pool for the day. But then the next day the booked us for a one way trip to the aquarium and left us stranded for over an hour, mind you its the windiest time of year right now.... And to completely ruin my honeymoon they booked u to do zip-lining on the last day that was a hour and a half away that isn't open for the month of February.... The last day in Hawaii we got to take a 3 hr cab ride... And the manager Izabella was horribly rude and nasty with us and said there was nothing she could do. The more she talked the harder I cried... For the price we paid to stay here I could have gone to the comfort inn and got a million times better service....

My family and I love this hotel. Every time we go we are impressed with the level of service and the quality of the hotel. They are very family friendly. From daily koi fish feedings, to the pools the kids love it. Being a all-suite is great. Every room has a mini-fridge and a microwave which is really handy, especially with kids.
They have a new texting service that is really convenient. They will periodically text you to see how you are doing. You can make requests via text and ask questions. Much more convenient than picking up the phone and having to deal with the automated system to get what you want.
Highly recommend for families.

The Fairmont is one of my favorite resorts down in Wailea. Lil more geared for adults as the pools go here so not so many screaming kids going down water slides at some of the other resorts. Very high end restaurants and other food and shop options give you many choices without leaving the location.
I did see some run down carpet and a hallway we were in needing some paint but all in all a fine spot to enjoy a vacation!

Even though this is a resort that caters to all ages, we thought it was perfect for our honeymoon. From the adults-only pool (we rented a private cabana) to the Luana sunset lounge there were plenty of places to find quiet, intimate spots. We appreciated the welcome gift from the concierge to commemorate our honeymoon. The suites are spacious, and the balconies may not be private but do have a great view (we had partial-ocean view). We would definitely recommend the Fairmont Kea Lani to anyone looking for a luxurious and sun-drenched honeymoon!

We LOVE staying here. We ve stayed at a few different places around the island and never quite enjoy our time as much as we do at the Fairmont. Whether it s our whole trip, or just treating ourselves to a couple nights during our trip, we make sure we spend some time here. The staff are absolutely incredible and the rooms are huge and well maintained and decorated. The grounds are gorgeous and the pools are great - adult only, swim up bar, slide for the kids, etc. The beach is private and shallow out into the water. So when the waves are calm, it s perfect for wading, swimming, snorkeling, and boogie boarding. Make sure you check out the restaurants (and happy hours!) the food and cocktails are not to be missed! Also, highly recommend doing the breakfast buffet at least once-so worth it!

One of my favorite lobbys for resorts on Maui. Great views all open air. Really love local decor especially my favorite mermaid and turtle sculptures. The artist works extremely hard with so much passion and love for island life. It shows in his art work. I met him down by Charley Young beach one day and he is so humble and gave me much of his time even when he was working. He really loves his work!

My husband & I stayed here during our honeymoon. The hotel is beautify maintained with great rooms, pools and beach access. The sunsets from the beach are fantastic; and you can really enjoy them from most areas of the hotel. All the staff were really friendly. Food at the restaurants on-site was all fantastic. Rooms here are all either suites or villas. We stayed in the standard suites, which were great. Huge space with lots of room and comfort.

The resort is stunning and the staff are friendly and helpful. The beach access is really nice and they offer free organic sunscreen and sun soothe lotion (in order to protect the reef from conventional sunblock). The landscaping is immaculately maintained and truly beautiful. The food prices are insanely high, but that is typical on resorts out here. Expect to spend $30 on a small pizza or $25 for a burger and fries.

If there was a 0 Star option, i would choose 0 Stars. I payed extra when booking a room with ocean view and when we got here, they tried ripping us off by giving us a room with 0 oceanview, saying, they call this a partial oceanview room.
They was no ocean to see from that room at all. All the Manager, was trying to do,is to charge us again , for something , we already had payed for, when booking a room.

My husband and I just got back from our honeymoon. We stayed at the Fairmont for 7 days. We loved it so much that we are talking about going back in six months. Rooms were good, pools were nice, and the beach was great. My favorite part of the Fairmont was the staff. Everyone was amazing! Housekeeping, concierges, front desk, drivers, bartenders, beach guys....literally everyone was awesome. Shoutouts to Vanessa at AMA, Arron at Luna, Kendra at the concierge's desk, and all the beach guys who set up chairs. They were all amazing. This resort has thought of everything to make your stay more comfortable. We especially loved the hospitality suite. We had to check out of the hotel on Monday but our flight was not until 9pm at night so the resort allowed us to stay and then use a compliantly hospitality suite where we could shower later before we left for our flight.

We are currently staying here and it is wonderful.
The room is spacious and gorgeous, I will really miss the bath and shower and the bed and linens feel heavenly.
Everything is a bit pricey of course but please remember it is a five star resort and it is Hawaii - almost everything has to be shipped here which increases the costs.
We have used the free shuttle service and it was quick and easy.
I especially want to thank April and Jessica at the spa for an excellent massage and facial, respectively. I left relaxed and rejuvenated.
We came here due to a corporate retreat but would absolutely come back.

We stayed here for our honeymoon in Maui. The suite was amazing and very affordable compared to other hotels where you just get a bedroom. The staff was friendly and helpful. Parking was included and easy to walk to our room. The bathroom itself was a master bath with two sinks and a big shower. Everything was in easy walking distance, including the private beach. Towels, sunscreen, chairs, and umbrellas at the beach were also included. This was honestly one of the nicest beaches we went to in Maui. Make sure to sign up beforehand for the outrigger canoe experience. It's free and a lot of fun. We got to swim right up close to a couple of big turtles! The location of the hotel is also a plus. You can walk to other hotels nearby on the sidewalk that connects them right by the beach. It's also in a central part of the island that makes it easy to drive to destinations. I would definitely stay here again!

We stayed 11 days here (2/15th-26th/2017) after 5 days on Oahu. We went with my sister and her husband and had a very nice time. We saw many whales from our rooms! The property is real nice with 3 pools, 3 restaurants and a deli.
