Scott Sundblade Review of The Fairmont Kea Lani Maui
World Class Service and Amenities
World Class Service and Amenities
We visited Hawaii, specifically Maui, for the first time. A friend of ours stays at the Four Seasons in Wailea every year and suggested it or the Fairmont. So we booked the Fairmont as it wasn't quite as expensive and still had amazing reviews. We booked through Costco so we didn't deal with the hotel for that but I assume they'd be great with that as well.
Upon arriving, we were greeted by the staff with a couple Lei's and fresh juice. They took our luggage and swept it right off to the room while we checked in.
Arriving to the room, there was champagne on ice waiting for with gourmet chocolates. They didn't have any oceanview rooms with king beds the week we wanted, so we settled for a partial view, hoping it wouldn't be disappointing, and it wasn't! The view was still gorgeous and in a way I liked it more than having a bunch of people in pools below us. Our side was dead silent other than birds and the random person.
The room is fully stocked with great quality products. The shampoo, conditioner, body wash etc...are all Le Labo Rose 31 which were wonderful! The mattress and pillows were very comfortable, nice flat screen TV's and big open areas including a very large walk in shower.
Downstairs in the lobby, there is always water and tea (which changes every day) available with cups. Every pool also has water along with the beach. There's also sun bum SPF30 and cool down lotions at each pool and the beach. They all have towels stocked at each one as well, so no need to pack or bring any.
The pools were all wonderful, including an 18 and up only pool. Another pool for kids with a slide that comes down from the pool attached to the bar at AMA's.
The hotel staff are all the friendliest staff at any hotel I've stayed at. There was always someone ready to put towels down on chairs or assign umbrellas at the beach.
Nearly everything is complimentary. Umbrellas and chairs on the beach are free, body boards, snorkel equipment, paddle boards, kayaks, you name it and the note has it complimentary for use. About the only thing to pay for was a private cabana at the pool.
We bought the breakfast package and ate at the buffet each morning which was the best breakfast buffet I've ever had. Always had things like bacon, eggs, eggs Benedict, every bread or muffin you can imagine, and fruits stocked. Some things rotated daily like apple crepes, or blueberry pancakes. There was fresh pancakes and waffles, a yogurt bar, oatmeal bar, gluten free area, fresh juices and milk, Chef available to make omelette or anything else you'd like that he's able to do.
There is way more that could be written but suffice it to say this is the best hotel I've ever stayed at and can't wait for the next time!
