Business stay for 6 nights. The hotel is very modern and clean; strong wifi connection; staff were very helpful and welcoming; one of the best hotel beds I have ever slept in; located in the heart of the business district and downtown Vancouver; relative to other Vancouver hotels, you cannot beat the value of the room rates; and excellent COVID-19 safety protocols.

The only negatives were the shower is very low flow; bathroom fan was not working; and reception is on the second floor so you need to get your bearings when you enter the ground floor, especially if checking in late at night.

The staff were very polite and helpful. Everything is modern and clean. My only critique would be the valet parking is a little bit inconvenient. I prefer to have access to my car at all times. Otherwise it was an enjoyable stay, I would recommend this hotel.

I had great experience here. The rooms were very clean. We felt safe here during covid, they had even taped the rooms after they were cleaned and inspected. The staff were very professional and helpful. We had asked for a kettle and it was brought up to our room quite quickly.

Lovely hotel. The staff is very friendly. The suites are spacious and well decorated. The breakfast is tasty and they have a great selection of fruits, pastries and other delicious treats every morning. They also have a gym which has a decent range of workout equipment.

My stay here was very peaceful and the staff was very accommodating to any requests I made.

Highly recommended

Great hotel. You get a clean room, extremely comfortable bed, low noise and a great location just up the road from the Seabus, railway station and Canada Place.
Service is outstanding and friendly.

Only minor criticism is the shower head and water pressure. You can't adjust the pressure, (of which there is perhaps too much).

Recommended.

The room was clean and we could see staff wiping down surfaces often. The room was also sealed prior to our arrival after cleaning.

The elevators are limited to 2 people and you select your floor when you call the elevator, so there's no touching surfaces inside.

Not very welcoming. Stay away from booking a martini room which seem to just be code for the worst room/view on each floor, nothing really special about it. Restaurants still working through growing pains...poorly mixed drinks, unbalanced food portions. Lots of staff, but very little service.

Fantastic stay. The room was a very good size. Great shower, underfloor heating to the bathroom was a nice touch. The TV was great also, especially the ability to log in and watch Netflix. Breakfast was included and a nice touch. Staff were also friendly and welcoming. Would stay again.

The location was close to the convention centre, but there were several issues with the room:

- We were unable to pay the full amount on check-in so the staff gave us a card that expired after a day. On paying the full amount the next day, the counter staff did not give us a new card. This led to at least a half hour of standing outside the door repeatedly trying use our already deactivated cards.

- The bed frames stuck out way too far out from the mattress. This is true for not only our room, but room of colleagues as well. This underestimating where the bed ended, and getting a heavy dose of bedframe corner served to your shins. Avoid if you have weak knees. My shin still hurts a week later.

- The shower "tray" did not serve its purpose of containing water within the shower area. The design caused water to flow out of the tray and to soak in the floor mat we laid out. Room service drying the area helped.

Location is good. Rooms are modern and nice. Breakfast is very bad and limited to a couple of options. Gym is small and every time you want to use it, you have to get a pass from reception and sign a piece of paper. Overall do not recommend this hotel.

The city center, the bustling area, the travel is very convenient, that is, the city road in front of the door, parking is not convenient, there are many vehicles, and the temporary getting on and off is more hasty

"This place is a hazard, empty and shallow. First, they gave us a room that was without the staples, i.e. wet bar, soap, towels and toiletry. We opinioned this online and later the next day went out for our outing and found property damage to our company vehicle. The Concierge stepped into my safety zone with a beligerant posture in preparation to assault us for requesting that we point this damage out to management. Soon following, three managers including the general manager promised that their insurance company would compensate us and return our expenses for the injury. Then following, and with several communication efforts to receive adequate correction, their insurance agent then plays the delay tactic and wants us to work for her by having our attorney talk with them. That was ridiculous, because that is $500 dollar an hour with $5000 retainer my company uses for business reasons. So far, the five star hotel has been a sham, the management let Michael destroy our property, ruined our vacation, and their insurance company is refusing to pay the company invoice and provide us with settlement documents so we can get this over with. There are way too many problems going on at the Exchange Hotel of Vancouver than you can imagine. False this, that and frustration, as well as property damages abound. Careful to decide hear. Good Luck! Fn: We contacted managemend numerous times to no avail."

The hotel is absolutely gorgeous. The room are beautiful and very comfortable. The washroom has heated floors and the quality of the shampoo and soaps were top notched. The cleaning lady laid out all my stuff so nicely. I really appreciated that extra touch a lot.

The doormen and the front desk people were very friendly. The doormen always greeted me. The housemaids also greeted me. The elevator system is very interesting and takes a bit to get used to.

The hotel would have received a perfect score from me if it wasn t for a strange clicking. I had a weird clicking noise in my ceiling and a faint green light. It went off every 2 minutes and made sleeping difficult because I kept expecting it. I had to sleep with ear plugs for 2 nights before finally asking to be moved. I should have asked to be moved sooner, but I was settled in and didn t want to repack and have to re-iron all my clothes.

After I moved, I wasn t offered any compensation for the inconvenience so I asked for one. They couldn t give me anything because I didn t book directly with them. Even a couple beers from the minibar would have been enough for me to give them a perfect score on this review.

Once in my new room a slept like a baby.

- Took 30 mins to bring iron, had to call back
- no in-room dining, even though there is a button for "in-room dining". And they act surprised when you ask
- no water
- no notebooks/pens. I get the environmental aspect, but at least have them available when needed
- horrible desk lamp and lamp placement. Somehow dim and blinding at the same time
- you need to go to front desk and ask to go to the mediocre gym

We came to visit for the first time, out of the country. We were charged $80 more than was stated on our reservation. Once we went to the room, it was not what we booked online. I went to the front desk to inform him. He apologized and stated that the amenities that were mentioned online were not correct. It s upsetting because the pictures on the website show otherwise. Nothing was done to accommodate us. I definitely wouldn t pay almost $300 for the room that we had.

When arriving at the hotel there is no pull off to park your car so we pulled into the alley to not block traffic, as we walked in it was confusing from the start since there is no one standing inside to direct you and there is no lobby on ground level, we had to walk passed the elevators to a security desk only to have them tell us we needed to go to floor 2, So my wife went up to check in and i pulled the car up for valet. once upstairs at the front desk we were greeted by a man with a smiling face he seemed to have everything organized since check-in was quick he read us our booking that was the Valentines package which entailed a deluxe room, sparkling wine, rose petals and charcuterie board, He gave us our room keys and free drink tickets but then added it ended in 10 minutes. We were already running a bit behind so we proceeded to our room my wife opens the door and it looked like a shoe box there was nothing to it but a bed and no sparkling wine, no charcuterie board, no rose petals just a tiny dark room we could barely walk around in. My wife called down to the front desk and asked what room we were in because it looked nothing like the one we booked online they assured her it was the right room but if we wanted to upgrade we could at extra cost then when asked where all the stuff from the package was she was placed on hold then told they were running behind and it will be in there when we get back only we had no plans on coming back until late since we had dinner reservations and a concert. Once the concert was done we came back and sure enough the charcuterie board was now in there sitting out in the open no cover melting looking old and disgusting with the warm bottle of wine on the counter not even chilling on ice and zero rose petals. Needless to say this will be our first and last time we stay at this hotel.

One of the most upscale and impeccable decor in downtown Vancouver. One improvement that can be made is the brand that they used for hair products, they can finesse that up a bit and would reflect better on their profile.

Nice hotel with a great trendy feeling.
Some strange bits though. Upgrade to a king room meant a purposefully empty minibar.
No ironing board in my room, not the end of the world, just odd.
Nice place and I would stay again.

This hotel is a bit odd. They make a big song and dance at all the 'amenities' you are getting, but the basics aren't there. There is a 'tablet' in your room, but no wifi, a heated floor in the bathroom but the heat in your room doesn't seem to work properly (I was proper cold the whole time I was here) and no spare blankets either. The room was tiny, not just small, seriously tiny, as in no where to put your suitcase, but there's a weird, empty, useless 'martini' bar taking up half the room. They'll give you a clothes steamer, but can't iron their own sheets, and suffer from the same weird affliction that many hotels seem to have that they can't seem to get sheets that fit the bed nor know how to make a bed properly. The rooms are not very clean, floor clearly not vacuumed, and other people's hair still in the bathroom. There are plenty of other nice hotels downtown, don't think I would ever stay here again.

The history being really re-imagined at "The EXchange Hotel", in the heart of Vancouver, Downtown, guests will have access to the very best of downtown Vancouver. My mother and her friend had this opportunity to check the place on this 1st year of their operations. The designers had the care to preserve a facade from an old commercial building, former home of the original Vancouver Stock Exchange, in order to protect the city's history and culture. Now there is a completely new structure in its innards that has the purpose to serve as a boutique hotel in the lower floors. Here they have custom-designed handcrafted furnishings, large format marble bathrooms and rotating collection of 20th century artwork all over the place. We can feel the love and care that their staff has for their service, keeping everything neat and cleaned, besides placing luxury amenities, imported luxury linens, exquisite artwork and luxurious products from L Occitane. Compliments to their Front Desk staff May, Kassie, Keishi Nagatsuka, Mitchell Rausch, and specially to their house keeper personal and to the concierge Alain Gauvin for all the support that has been offered to my family during their stay, remember to re-tribute their kindness with some joyful smiles!

The room was immaculately clean, very modern, and stylishly decorated. Beyond this, every single staff member I encountered asked me how my day was going, whether I needed help with anything, and did so with a smile. I had a complimentary toothbrush and toothpaste brought up to my room when I realized I'd forgotten mine, they had complimentary umbrellas to use throughout the day, and they held my luggage for me after checkout as my flight was later in the day. I will be staying at this hotel again for sure. Thank you for such a great experience.

We were some of the first visitors in this hotel at their Grand opening moment during the busiest Summer weekend in Vancouver. Booking hotel at the last minute is not a very good idea. So we did not have much choice in Vancouver during pride week, fireworks festival, August long weekend. Yeah... But we were lucky to to find this place. Our room was pretty small, more suitable for only one person on a business trip. Everything brand new including some nice technology implemented. Bad was confirmable. Breakfast was included and convinuenly provided at the elevator right on the floor we were staying. Some small details that we have noticed are affected my star points down to 3. There was no view from our room at all. We were not able to find any ventilation option at the bathroom besides the room air conditioning. There is no option to hung a bath towels, and other things like swimming suits, etc. A coffee choice was provided for one person despite the fact that there were two of us in this room. Everything else was good. I would give to this place 3+.

Nice hotel, recently open yet well organized. The room was really nice with a large bathroom and stand-alone shower. Would recommend and would go back!

We booked this hotel literally a few hours before our actual stay on Christmas day and it was a wonderful experience. The front entrance with the revolving doors lead to a posh though rather narrow lobby and we were greeted almost immediately by a staff member who had noticed us come in. Very warm welcome! The accents and details of this place is absolutely amazing. According to its website, care is taken in curating each and every piece of artwork that goes into this hotel and the decor is tasteful. The service is impeccable and we were shown into almost every room by very professional yet friendly staff members. Even though the elevators were still going through some programming issues, the staff were well aware of this problem and had someone to escort us to every floor before eventually leaving the staff card beside the elevators in a little paper envelope. The rooms themselves were luxurious, modern and clean and I personally loved the minimalist design. Although the in-house restaurant was still undergoing renovations, the location of this hotel saved us because it was close to everything, cuisine, shopping and entertainment right in the heart of Vancouver! I would absolutely come back once the other amenities are in place!

Very modern. Enjoyed the advanced elevator system, heated floors in the bathroom, and ipad in the room. Our room was very clean and had a nice city view. Staff was friendly overall. AJ was very helpful. The morning we had to leave early and he held a cab for us with our luggage so we could grab a quick coffee at the Starbucks on the corner. We really appreciated the service! Only drawback is no room service.

Second time staying, first time was great. Decided...

Second time staying, first time was great. Decided to book the top floor dividend superior king (not dividend deluxe king) but its smaller than the regular deluxe king I stayed in before!! Photos on website are misleading. Bathroom was nicer in a regular room- why pay for more and get less? I honestly dont get it. Lounge on club floor is a tiny room with self serve table, few snacks and couple drinks.

Note: I beleive theres only two elevators that go to the 11th floor, so it takes longer to get down with more people getting on on the way down.

The main reason for this review is that management allowed construction in the restaurant on a Saturday morning promptly at 10am... with zero thought and consideration for travellers who want to sleep in on a Saturday. THE NOISE was absolutely ear peircing and annoying, like someone was hitting a steel pipe running though the building with a hammer (im on the 11th floor btw and the deepest sleeper in the world- couldnt fall back asleep if my life depended on it)

And cherry on top alarm went off at 12pm for 8 minutes and just stopped now. Thanks and bye

PS- rooms are nice and modern. Friendly staff.

From the time I made the booking to the time we left, I had great interactions with everyone there and excellent service. The room was clean and a good size for my partner and I. They appeared to have great Covid protocols with signs all around and touchless elevators (unfortunately other guests didn't always follow the signage!). The parking was tough to get into as someone had to come open the door every time, but that also made me feel reassured that the parking was secure and safe. Thank you for making us feel so comfortable during these crazy times!

I only stayed for one night but the hotel itself was beautiful. Everything was brand new and well layed out. It was my birthday and I didn t tell them this but they put out some birthday treats for me, nice touch. The staff were friendly and there was a cheese and wine tasting in the lobby at 6pm. Another thing I liked was the continental breakfast. I would return.

Hotel was close to Waterfront Station. (Coming from airport taking skytrain to station). Hotel was very nice. Very clean. Rooms were beautiful and very comfortable. Bathrooms was gorgeous with a HEATED floor. (Very nice). While the room was smaller than a Marriott or Hilton, I did not feel cramped. I felt very cozy and it was perfect for me. All of the staff was very helpful. Bonus, the hotel was very quiet and I didn't even hear other guests in the hotel. I would definitely stay here again!

Bathroom design and fixtures were lovely. Eco heat/ac units built I o the ceiling and a tablet to control the TV and other settings. The history is really cool too-that it was the old Vancouver stock exchange. Highly recommend!
