Quite Expensive for an average tasting fried rice. the Service was good though

Great food, very tasty and excellent service. Even brought the food out to our car where we were waiting. Will be back.

Terrible food. Fried rice tasted burnt and actually had burnt flakes the whole way thru it.. as did the sweet n sour sauce. It was actually crunchy. Fish was terrible also. Definitely won't eat here again.

I've been going here since I was a child. Used to love it. I still enjoy the food. I walked out today, while I have politely tolerated the owners watching you constantly and saying "that's enough, too full" and making other comments. Today I find that they are also limiting your selection. I like a little bit of quite a few things, I am happy to have vegetables (extra charge if you avoid them in your scoop) and I pack my food well and neatly - never has it been too full for the lid but just filled all the space - well now you can only choose 3 items for your small, 4 for a medium etc. I was too disgusted after being such a regular customer to see that sign. The only reason I don't go there is because of the way they treat customers. Even those who've been eati g there for years.

Horrible. The food is as cheap as the price. Prawn Chow mien was filled with old tasting noodle and a few bits of capsicum and cabbage.

Worst place I been to. When looking at the different foods, he asked do you want it or not... Was only there for a minute or so... No others in the shop... Got something, but nothing to write home about...

Fresh delicious food with friendly and helpful service. Love the chicken and cashew nuts.

Good takeaway food, fast and courteous service, try the long or short soup. Gotta have your bone broth.

Very expensive and owner tried to charge me an extra $2 for wanting to use pay wave. The chinese food wasn't that great as it was dry and didn't seem very fresh.

Love this place i always order delivery and is always fresh and delicious. I havent ever had a bad experience here. The man that takes my order is very sweet and makes me laugh. Great service!!!

I honestly love their food. And yes they've put limits on how many choices you can have but it doesn't really matter you get alot of food for a cheap price and its not only that its because there are many customers who are extremely greedy and like to pick meat and/or overfill their containers, its extremely unfair for the next customer and its hard for the owners as well. Everything these days is expensive so of course they're going to make a few changes and honestly the changes aren't that much of a big deal. If your so "disgusted" in the changes then maybe you should order your food instread. And the reason they stand there to watch over you is because they need to make sure that your not picking meat and to clean up the other meals after your done. They're not trying to be rude or anything it's just how its done. Anyway they have amazingly tasty food and they're extremely nice. So I would seriously recommend this place to ANYONE.

Food was nice but the owner served me & didnt fill my container up, even though I was paying for the biggest container. He then charged me an extra $2 for I dont know what. Rip off. Never be back.

food good,,but not happy with the owner only half filling the container for you and the rest is vegies,, you pay for a container, at least fill it up

Worst Chinese I have had. Honey Chicken was mostly batter and so tough. Tasted like it had been cooked and sitting for a long time. I could not eat it. The rest was juat as bad. Never going back.

Grabbed a container, got to the checkout, my container was $11 owner says I have to spend $15 minimum to use eftpos, I then say ok, can I get some spring rolls, owner just says over and over and over again to 'just get a drink, it's $4 and its easy'. After saying three times I don't want a drink I have some, I want spring rolls, he just repeats himself and I give up, I grab the drink and said this is terrible service. I then give him my card, he asks paywave, I said yes, he then tells me its an extra $3 for paywave and that I should 'blame the bank'. I'm sure this is illegal behaviour, I tell the owner I won't be back here after this, this is a joke. Owner yells at me 'you pay and you go' and I certainly did to never return. Atrocious as I have been using tong keep for years, maybe only every few months, but there will be no repeat business.

It is amazing! My mother will not eat anywhere else and we have tried everywhere even in Cairns! Cant compare to here. He DID have a charge for pay wave but he has gotten rid of it! I encourage everyobe to eat their food.

Haven't been for there for a long time dont like not beening able to self service but can kinda instant but might aswell order off the menu but dinner was good

I have been a customer of Tong Kees since i can remember... usually i would say 5 stars, however today my experience was different.. the owner wasnt friendly like he usually is because the eftpos machine wasnt accepting the card when inserted or swiped. After trying it many times i then suggested trying pay wave, he then wanted to charge me an extra $2 for using pay wave! I had no other means of paying for the food as i dont carry cash. As a business owner i was of the understanding that you are only allowed to charge someone a certain percentage for the card used that the bank charges the business owner. And i know it isnt 10% of my order!

This place has really improved under new management. They've added new dishes in the menu aswell. Especially the Malaysian nyonya curry we had for lunch was so good, all three of us ended up taking some for dinner as well. Will definitely come for more.

Nice chinese food i dont eat a lot but i would keep on going back nice flavours.

This is the first time we ve bought takeaway here and unfortunately we re very doasapointed. Our prawn fried rice was very oily and the rice was a strange blackish colour. Our king prawn and vegetable dish was loaded with cornflour and processed garlic from a jar. Really disappointed as this is our local Chinese, now we will have to drive further to find something decent.

Tong Kee is one of my all time favorite for awesome value and awesome food! They have family packs that will satisfy the biggest hungers! Great service and always a friendly smile! Tong Kee Chinese Restaurant A1 in my books

Fried rice had burnt taste, hardly any egg or veges in it for $12 and owner stands there watching to make sure you don t put to much in container, I won t be back

Was recommended here by family but wasn't for me. Didn't enjoy any of the meals I got. Might just have been my experience but wouldn't one I'd go back and try again.

This place is disgusting. We ordered fried rice and honey chicken, paid $20 and didn t even get enough food to feed my 10 year old! The fried rice was basically rice with peas. They filled our honey chicken container half with fried noodles. When I went back in and asked for a refund I was yelled at and refused more food or a refund!!! My husband had to go in and demand our money back. Extremely bad service, meal sizes and quality. Stay away
