Here is my follow up review. I called in to the hotel just after writing my initial review because it really bothered me that I even had to write a bad review, plus I felt so robed from this experience that I had to do a follow up call. I spoke to another manager and explained my entire situation, she acknowledged that I was there and complained but the follow up never occurred. She advised me that she d call me back so she can think about it the situation and figure out what was the best way to rectify what has happened. I then received a call back within 10-15 minutes from one of the head managers in which I explained to him again the issues I had with my stay. He was completely understanding of the matter and did a refund to my night and also took notes on everything I had complaints about as these are all valid issues in which we both believe can be rectified for future clients staying at the hotel. I do believe this hotel has a tremendous amount of potential, they just need to go through the trial end error phase to really give that 5 Star customer experience. Best of luck to your team, I actually may give these guys another chance in the future and that is just because I do have faith that they will make changes to do better.

The deluxe queen rooms are ok, but they are missing drawers for clothes. The hotel is right downtown which is good for location, but noisy most of the night. The stay was generally good. The recent updates are very nice.

Hotel was fantastic, very clean and modern. Very close to the cruise terminal. Not listed on their site or any other reviews, but they have a great hotel fitness center. I often look for hotels with fitness centre so I was ecstatic to find one on site.

Great location and very clean and mostly new amenities, mostly hospitable staff especially housekeeping staff and excellent room service.

Dislikes :
1 rude and obnoxious manager on duty who can easily disrespect guests by dismissive attitude who i gave direct feedback to and recieved an automated apology from but i have since notified the GM in an e mail and got a personal apology and a promise to discuss the matter with the rude manager on duty .
I would have given the hotel 5 star review if it wasnt for this upsetting encounter i had .

Also, No business center, i had to go to a UPS store to do business and paid for it .
No restaurants in the hotel but not a major issue as hotel is in the middle of downtown.

the simplest reason why I have rated them lowly :

when they do housekeeping, they don't replace shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion daily

when I approached the front desk, the reason they provided was only the guest request. if the small bottle still contained some amount , they will not replace

such Petty act , reflect how their service rank.

this is the first time , I encounter a hotel doesn't replace new set of toiletries daily

total person : 3
total days stay : 9nights

Best hotel experience I've ever had. From the moment I stepped into the hotel it's been a positive experience. Every staff member is extremely helpful, cheerful and kind, and reception was very accommodating to my family's short-notice special needs. My room is very nice, with a great view of the financial district. The location is perfect - very quick walk to Canada Place (and cruise terminal), Convention Centre, as well as galleries and museums. It's a slightly longer walk to Gastown, but very do-able. The rooms are well equipped and comfortable. The TV can be a bit frustrating, but I have no doubt whatsoever that the front desk would be able to help me if I needed it. Right now the hotel is in a "soft opening", so don't expect the restaurant or bar until later this year, but I love what I've seen so far and I'm sure it will only get better.

The staff have clearly received training in accessibility and in assisting and interacting with people with disabilities, and it shows. It's been a fantastic experience, and I'll be sorry to leave.

A travel agent booked me on the wrong date for this hotel, so I didn t get to stay, but the staff were SO accommodating! They took care of me even though it was not their mistake, authorizing a refund for me even though it was within the cancellation period, apologizing that they are fully booked that evening, giving us a nice living space to sit in and find other accommodations, and generally being so kind. Also I had to call back to straighten out my refund with my travel agent, and they remembered me, and took care of me, even asking the travel place to e-mail me so I had proof that I would not be charged. The travel agent sucked- Chase bank Ultimate Rewards travel booking, but the Exchange hotel was a delight! I hope to stay there next time ai m in Vancouver.

We booked here through a website after we saw the airbnb I booked (it was not good). This place was amazing, we had no expectations going in and for the discounted price we found for a Martini Room on a holiday weekend, I thought it would be just ok. This place is a 5 Star hotel! We were blown away and it made our trip. I would stay here again, great location and perfect for a traveling couple.

Nice hotel in a great location

Nice hotel in a great location

The rooms are small, but very clean and nicely arranged.

What a pity, was the not so nice breakfast room. He reminded me of an anteroom of a waiting room with tables and chairs.
Also no daylight came in.

There is no restaurant, which was not visible online.

Nevertheless, we were very satisfied. The hotel is very hard to fulfill every wish.

The price needs to be discussed before anything else - I was quoted $558 for the one night, accepted and stayed. When I got the final guest folio after checking out the room charge was $658 which would have made me think more than twice. Further to that is the fact parking was paid for (two split charges) and I paid the valets cash for the car unknowingly that I had already paid.

The rooms are fine but be prepared to sweat at night, since the HVAC controller does nothing, even after calling the front desk and then saying they would contact engineering.

Booking the room was painful, as I was asked to spell my name many times - it s not a hard one to spell. Realizing I never got a confirmation email, I called to confirm to find I had no reservation, the employee simply said, sorry, you don t have a reservation for tonight, you re not staying with us tonight. After pushing to find what actually happened, they misspelled the last name - severely. If I didn t force them to look more, they would have charged my card without us even staying.

Honestly, you can stay at many 5 star hotels in the city for less than $700 a night, hotels that are ACTUALLY worth the money. I wouldn t bother coming here and I won t be coming back.

Meh, just OK. The best part is everything is brand new and location is good. But there was huge 3.5 ft sq column in our room a foot in from the window - so odd. And an empty cabinet at the desk that maybe was for a refrigerator? The lack of More
