Not as fulfilling as I had hoped but dropped on a rep who gave me an in depth chat about certain fish in the first pool with the rays which was awesome and then the tunnel and elevator are pretty cool all the rest was quite basic aquarium stuff you might see in and pet shop lol but worth one visit won't be pusing to go again as it's far to travel

FANTASTIC!! What more can i say? It has a cafe with views of the Humber and river Hull and a shop to buy all your fishy needs my grandoughter loves the penguins the most and the aquarium's are huge
Awesome! Loved every minute. My two year old was fascinated and my two older girls loved the timeline and reading the info. Great day out and fantastic that the one payment lasts the year. Bargain!
Whilst the staff was nice and it was a good day out, its basically just the sealife centre with less to do. Personally, I wouldn't recommend it but it's cheap, and a good day out for those with little children.
Really great fun for our little girl. Some of the interactive displays were not working and the entrance can be a little overwhelming for the senses, quite loud with lots of displays and audio running at once which upset our youngest a little but once we got down the entrance ramp it was great. Lots to see and do, really interesting.
Great place for children and adults lots to see and do.Fun and educational.parking easy and good value. Plus the revisit pass is ideal. Rainy day problem solved
Loved visiting after a long time of not being able to with my toddler. Great use of hand gel and one way system although some visitors may need reminders from staff in bottle neck areas to observe the 2 metre guidance - gift shop specifically .
Tickets are on the expensive side for a family, however, entitles you to a free visit at anytime within 1 year. Love taking my family and enjoy the cafe and gift shop too.
Took my kids to Hull from Newcastle especially to visit the deep and we wernt disappointed. The exhibits were beautiful, well maintained and informative. The staff were friendly and helpful and happy to chat to my children and answer the hundreds of questions they had. Our favourite was the cuttlefish, the young man standing near the exhibit was very knowledgeable and gave us plenty information. Would definitely visit again and with the ticket you buy lasting a year we might well be back soon.
I've only been to two aquariums and this one was quite good. You should definitely visit it if you've never been to an aquarium before as it's really good fun. I guess it's even more recommended if you have kids!
This place is vast but disappointing at the same time. None of the machines on the way down appeared to be working. The tunnel was so short you were no sooner in than you were out. The lifts to get back to the exit are certainly insufficient that many families with pushchair waiting was not good, there was at least a 40 minute wait. We climbed the 76 steps back up carrying children and pushchair, no joke at all. But they are to be complimented on the way they dealt with the surprise for our granddaughter. The diver who held the poster with her name on was amazing. This part was very well organised and many thanks to all the staff involved in arranging it. It was our granddaughter's 5th birthday, I think that well made up for any disappointments. Worth a visit though but get there early as the car parks were very full by the time we got there, just before 11am, all the disabled spaces were taken so we ended up in a muddy field
Didnt take long to get around but all in all a great place for the little ones to learn and explore. Also get unlimited visits for 12 months at no extra cost so will be visiting again
16/03/19 The view from the cafe is very nice . Prices are high and i have been to better aquariums for less price. Wouldn t return or visit again sorry . Quite small also
Fantastic trip, well laid out route through with a brilliantly displayed selection of some awesome species of fish. Felt totally safe with all the covid precautions in place, there were lots of hand gel stations throughout the route. Even though certain activities have been cancelled it didnt detract from the visit in my opinion. The staff were great & very courteous if they had to control numbers in areas & it was pleasing that nobody complained. A great experience something for all ages. Throughly enjoyed the experience & would happily visit again & recommend this attraction.
Brilliant displays for all age ranges, very informative and well laid out. Getting access for a whole year with one payment is great value for money and well worth it.
Probably the worst aquarium I've ever been to. Extremely claustrophobic and just a few unnecessarily small windows into the big aquariums, with lots of photographs, videos and moulded plastic used to fill in the rest. I'd read this was world class, but try the aquariums in London, Osaka or Monterrey if you want to see world class.
Amazing place to visit and spend a good few hours feeling like you are miles away from land and feel submerged in the ocean looking at all the different species of fish and then getting to see the penguins is always a special sight for anyone. Really great place for families to spend some quality time together.
Fantastic experience. We have come here every year for the past 6 years and are never disappointed. We always look at the penguins and they alwags look really looked after and happy. Love love love it!
We really like it here we go when we can Both our daughters love. It here our youngest 2 in Feb loves it all loves all the fish seeing the penguins loves the play area all of it Our oldest also loves it all and if she as any questions the staff are happy to answer It's a very interesting place A big sensory place too so relaxing It is very child friendly very disabled friendly Parking very reasonable 3 pound for 6 hours It is a perfect place to visit all year round I'd like to thank all the staff very friendly very welcoming all do a great job at what you dio
Great place to go with the kids, all the fish and animals are really well looked after, only thing is that in the school holidays the wait to get in is well over an hour, and your can't get parked anywhere near the place, really great experience when finally get in
It was a good insighful journey in The Deep. Good for adults and kids alike. Staff were nice and hospitable. The queues were long though and on a busy day rain can make it difficult to wait.
An excellent and engaging day out as a family with a 4-year-old.
Starts a bit slow as there's a walk down into the marine tanks that might be a bit boring for preschool children, but once you see the animals it's easy to spend an afternoon here.
Friendly staff, green ethos, and respect to the animals. If you're local or enjoy the place you get free admission for a year. Good choice from the cafe and gift shop, too.
We visited today and had a entertaining afternoon, we had children with us ranging from 5, to 16, and everyone enjoyed it. The price was reasonable, the staff are friendly and helpful and the cafe was reasonably priced. Overall we had a affordable entertaining afternoon.
The smallest aquarium I have ever been, you can finish the whole exhibition in half an hour. The year ticket allows you to return many times in a year, but I don't feel like going, cause the the is not public transport near by, and there are not many to see. But it is suitable for family and children, they have a children playground and enough toilets.
Awesome place! about 3 years ago they got a shipping of penguins. which is cool. Another thing is that the architecture of the building is a sunken ship :o
An amazing place of wonder, fascination and a great day out for the whole family. There's so much to see and learn about, I would highly recommend checking out The Deep.
Your ticket is also valid for the year, so you can return anytime again for free! The cafe also allows you to bring your own food, so potentially a free day out!
The Deep is a wonderful attraction for all ages situated where the River Hull meets the Humber Estuary. A fascinating journey through how the oceans are so important to us all and how we are affecting them and the creatures which live in them. You can get up close and personal with sea creatures from sharks to stingrays to starfish. It's also in a great part of Hull that's clearly undergone a lot of regeneration and well worth exploring.
Overrated in all honesty, a serious lack of actual fish. probably a bit more suited to young kids and parents. Contrast to the great aquarium in Birmingham and see what I mean.
