It was my first time there. Loved being outdoors. Grand children loved the box track and the pump track too until their dad fell and hurt his shoulder by going over the handle bars. Fortunately nothing broken. Great restaurant pizza was good. Friendly waiters. Thank you to the guy who assisted my son as he fell. He assisted him with a temp sling. Great for kids to be outdoors. Will be back to visit the test of the area. There is lots to do and see there.

Very interesting muesem though a bit tricky to locate as there are several seperate parts to this site and they are widely spread. So we weren't left with enough time to do the muesem justice. As it was winter it closed by 5. Still worth a visit with lots of interactive displays and a fun boat ride too( can only imagine in the busier summer time this must cause queues). Great views from the top of the building and the restaurant looked good though also closed early.

This should be one of earth's most important museums. Instead, it is an acid/coke trip dreamed up by stoned architects. It is a bizarre combination of politics, archeology and more politics, aimed at 5-10 year olds. Sensory overload will get you in this dungeon. Longing too visit since it's inception, i was bitterly disappointed. Money wasted, rather learn about our great common history on Youtube. The staff at this freak show are friendly and the nesting finches twitter happily, in the food court.

A very tranquil multipurpose venue nested in lush vegetation with a contemporary look and feel. The architecture and decor provides a vibey upmarket experience in the bush overlooking a lake and playful monkeys on the premises. There is a secondary bar on a deck where the pool is. (What's cool is the wood used to build the place was taken from the property_ green thumbs up). Not so far from here are the bomas, main restaurant, infinity pool and chalets. Do yourself a favour, your the whole area.

The staff is friendly and upbeat, the chef works wonders with an assortment of flavours for the pallet. Went for the grand opening and for a food tasting.

This was a very fun place it was much more fun than what i expected and the amount of effort they put into the inside of the building you can se they really put in the effort. There is a short water ride inside which is very fun you don't get wet and its like a 4D exsperiance

Maropeng has amongst other things a great water ride representing the birth of the earth to cool-off after the Sterkfontein caves. Includes places to buy drinks and snacks. Also have a look at the museum which holds a myriad of prehistoric skulls and wonderful infographics.

Very nice once you find your way, the directions on Google maps and the directions on the web site are very bad and misleading. The directions are all loaded as Maropeng which is difficult to follow when you are looking for the cradle of mankind. The Google maps takes you to the area of the digs not the visitors centre.

Magalies sleepy river is a wonderful camping site. My family enjoyed the peace and tranquillity away from the city. However it would be wonderful if they can get some animals roaming around the campsite. That will give it the 5 stars they deserve. If you like nature and the outdoors I would recommend this place to you.
