I've had a lot of tension and pain in my shoulders since working from home in March and knew I needed to see a physio to get these kinks ironed out. Vicky Lewis-Baldy is a new member of staff at the clinic and I booked an appt with her through an introductory offer, which was great value. Value for money at its best, Vicky talked through the pains and issues I had, put me at ease and focused on specific problem areas. I could feel the knots release and was glad she applied the right amount of pressure for me as we discussed. The clinic and Vicky's level of hygiene and personal safety was second to none, at a time when we all feel awkward or uncomfortable, I felt it was a safe space. Would recommend!

I visited the clinic after suffering a herniated disc and nerve root compression in my back which was extremely painful, debilitating and keeping me out of work.

I was treated by Alex whose exercises and specialist treatment not only aided recovery but offered some invaluable pain relief. He explained the causes and specifics of the problem by demonstrating exactly where the issue lied. He helped me understand what I was doing wrong in the gym and in day to day life such as posture, running technique and recovery after exercise. He's offered help to assess me in the future to ensure I don't suffer a similar injury or reduce the risk in doing do.

Without Alex I wouldn't have sought further specialist treatment and he referred me to receive an urgent MRI and Orthopedic consultant, without which my symptoms would've progressively become worse.

Ive also seen him in the past for sporting niggles like tight muscles and rolled ankles and I can't reccomend the clinic or Alex enough!

Over the past couple of years I've been show outstanding knowledge and commitment from Alex helping me manage football injuries of different kinds. Service is always with a smile and the after-care shows a real dedication to what he does. Both clinics are great places to visit and all the other staff are lovely too

I ve been to visit Alex at Bristol Physiotherapy Clinic on a couple of occasions now, once for a knee injury and once for an elbow injury.

On both occasions he initially took the time to listen to my issue, asked relevant questions and then followed that up with hands on diagnosis of the problem.

The treatment he then provided was fantastic, using a range of equipment, and he gave me the appropriate homework to do to make sure I stayed on top of things.

Whatever he did to my knee, I can barely even remember what the pain felt like or where it was!! And since seeing him 2 days ago about my elbow, it already feels better then it has done for 2 months!

Thank you!

Chris' coaching works, he is knowledgeable, motivating, funny and right. In sport I am stubborn and monosyllabic, so not easy to coach. I can now run further, faster and without injury thanks to Chris. Going there costs less than a pair of trainers and will improve your running for life. If a member of your family runs some coaching is a better gift than a soon to be obsolete electronic gizmo.

The clinic ran a successful running workshop for our running group last night. We've all gone away with some great tips, some of which we've already put into practice.
I also get loads out of the online running maintenance class on Saturdays.

I had been experiencing lots of niggles and tightness in my lower back, legs and knee over the last 8 months so was looking to having sort of massage to help ease the discomfort. I came across the offer with Vicky Lewis-Baldy and thought I'd give it a try. This was my first sports massage and had heard stories about them being very painful so was apprehensive about what to to expect. Vicky was excellent at listening to me, she was very knowledgeable about what the underlying cause could be and was led by what I wanted from the session. What I thought was going to be an hour of pain was actually an hour of finally getting somewhere and feeling so much relief. I couldn't recommend Vicky more. Very good value for money. Also hygiene was on point and I didn't feel uncomfortable whatsoever with the current pandemic situation.

Really impressed with level of expertise and knowledge coupled with an enthusiasm which is infectious and uplifting whether it be for sorting a problem or a remedial massage. Chris manages to keep one slightly tired body functioning. Totally recommend him.

After having my foot crushed by a bus running over it in January , I thought I would not walk normally again and even , to run a 10k as I used to . Over 5 sessions with Jenny , we went through the various muscular reinforcements needed . At least that is my understanding of it :D I was really applied at doing at home the exercises she recommended me to do and in June so only after 6 months , was able to run 10k again without any pain in my foot ( being careful obviously) .
So I was really pleased with the quality of treatment received by Jenny Collins and I would warmly recommend it.
If I had any issue tomorrow , she would definitely be the one towards I would go.

I have had an excellent experience at this clinic. I have had a number of bad injuries over the last few years and not been able to run more than 5 miles as a result. After seeing Alex at the running school, having treatment on my calves and some running coaching I have managed to change my running technique, stay injury free and just completed my first half marathon in 10 years. I would recommend this clinic which has helped me but also my partner who managed to complete a marathon despite an achilles injury that they treated. Thanks for the help :)

After my back went in November, and being left unable to put any load through it, Chris has been looking after my rehab. An MRI confirmed two prolapsed discs, compression of nerves and mild facet joint inflammation. Chris rehab exercises made it possible for me to survive a long haul flight 6 weeks later and we have since been working on all my movement patterns, strength and mobility getting me back to weight training and running. Chris explains everything really clearly, is always on the other end of the email for any questions I have and is basically just a very kind and knowledgeable physio!

Chris is fantastic at providing a realistic schedule of exercises to get you on the mend, never judges if you stray from the schedule, is friendly, approachable and takes everything in great humour. I've always had great results from his expertise, and wouldn't go to anyone else now!

Absolutely fantastic support for anyone aspiring to reach their best in sport at any age. I can not recommend Richard and the team highly enough. Their thorough assessment and practical therapy advice is superb. You cannot do better than to see them. I have recently played international Masters over 60s hockey and will play in the European Grand Masters for the first time this year despite a FAI last February. Thanks to the physiotherapy advice no surgery was required and I am fully fit again.

I successfully completed the Green Man yesterday so I just wanted to take the opportunity to thank you for your advice and expertise last year.

Since coming to see you three months ago and working on my running gait I have had no further problems whatsoever with shin splints which seems nothing less than miraculous after a 46 mile run and all the preceding training.

Thank you so much Chris - and thanks also for just slightly raising your eyebrows rather than telling me this ultra was out of the question :-)

I have been going to see Chris Kay at Bristol Physiotherapy Clinic for "physio terrorism" for a good number of years now. Having had multiple injuries in my time as a runner and triathlete, each time I've gone to Chris he has sorted me right out! From massage to exercises, he's knows exactly what is required to get fighting fit again.
Most recently, I sustained quite a significant knee injury in March, right at the time a worldwide pandemic hit! Not ideal! However, Chris has supported me through it with online sessions, exercises and eventually again face to face sessions, hands on sessions & shockwave therapy. I made the decision to have knee surgery in July and we are now progressing through a tough rehabilitation programme.
I cannot recommend Chris and the team at Bristol Physiotherapy Clinic enough! He's the best physio I've ever had, I wouldn't trust anyone else with my ailments!!

Needed treatment for a sudden and painful muscular problem. Within 10 minutes, Alex had identified the issue and it started to resolve by the end of the hour-long session! Had a few more sessions which, with the exercises he gave me to do at home, worked wonders. Great knowledge and technique, plus a genuinely caring approach, 100% recommended.

I visited the clinic for pregnancy back pain. Rosie gave me excellent, good value care with exercises that would mean I wasn't dependent on lots of repeat visits. These became a really useful 'tool' whenever I suffered back pain - and I have continued to use them on and off, with really good effects. Thank you!

Richard assessed an injury with my hip and gave me a recovery plan in one session. As i live abroad I am unable to come for regular sessions so this service was perfect - and it helped remedy the problem.

Alex helped me with an Achilles tendon injury that hit less than four weeks before my marathon. I was really concerned I wasn t going to be able to do the marathon after putting in most of the training. Alex treated me with expertise and gave sound advice, adopting my training plan and helping me stay positive. I managed to complete the marathon (my first) last weekend, and couldn t be more chuffed. I don t think I would have been able to get to the finish line without Alex s help. I would definitely recommend him to anybody - money well spent!

Tara has been running great weekly footwork and movement skills sessions for children during lockdown. My 7 yr old son has been doing them weekly. Tara is great with my son, keeps the sessions really interesting and interactive and is clearly very knowledgeable and skilled at her profession. Massively recommended!

I can not express how good Alex Duncan is; he has helped me complete my first marathon, which was London.

I used Alex last November, based on the Google reviews. I was just starting my training and I had some injuries.

In just one session Alex nailed exactly what my issue was and helped me through it.

I struggled with injuries throughout my training and at one point could not run over 4 miles with out getting injured.

Alex was amazing and I would highly recommend him
