The place is sensational, it is imperative to go to Johannesburg and know the cradle of humanity, I recommend it to all people.

simply a "must" for every visitor to South Africa and local alike. the history of our planet and our species laid out in interesting simplicity. A lot of educational, interactive experiences.
Wow! What an experience! Excellent service.
See you again soon!
A well cutated exhibition of an important archeological site. Loved the long walk to freedom bronze statues. More suitable for older children as there's a bit of reading. Staff well trained and very professional. We left a wallet at a drinks kiosk and it was collected and waiting for us the following day by an extremely well organised admin/security team. Thank you.
The place is amazing!
Good space, nice food it's really refreshing.
I recommend a visit.
Cradle of Humankind is a must see for locals and international travelers! The guides are friendly and helpful, they are very interactive with the visitors. Just keep in mind that the caves are not accessible for wheelchairs. Small kids will enjoy and elderly people might have a difficult time with small entrances and the 200 steps back up.
It was good, exciting and entertaining at the same.
Visited both Maropeng and the Sterkfontein caves. Excellent guides giving you the tour of the Cradle of Human kind. A must visit when in the area. Maropeng is wheelchair friendly. Sterkfontein caves is a bit of a climb into the caves with some confined spaces. Well worth to see where some of the earliest homonid fossils in South Africa were found. Guided tours every 30 minutes.
Excellent family visit. Restaurant was delightful. Can use the restaurant without a day ticket
South Africa's "Walk to Freedom" Amazing bronze figures
A beautiful, informative and fascinating place to visit. Make some time (+/-2-3 hours or more if you want to do it leisurely) for this so you can see all the exhibits and try all the interactive displays.
Incredible experience to take my daughter to and learn about our joint history. Should be mandatory stuff for kids. Encountered professional and friendly staff all around. The restaurant at the caves offers incredible value for money.
Well worth the visit if you like this sort of thing.
Great place to learn about our origins. Good for children and adults.
EnGeni .. wonderful wedding venue.. exquisite setting
Lovely venue to stay at. Would be nice if they had a few more vegetarian options on their menu. Fantastic and knowledgeable ranger on the game drive. Friendly and helpful staff.
Beautiful interactive museum of modern conception. You enter the museum through a boat that travels the first stages of the formation of the planet, continues with the birth of life and the evolution of the same and ends with the history of our species in relation to the order of primates. Very instructive and it would be worth seeing before the apartheid museum to understand more about how racial laws made no sense.
Informative set up. Good for a day out, especially if you have children. Unfortunately, very underwhelmed by the guides. More knowledgeable guides, who have significant knowledge of theory of evolution, and can give sensible factual information, are sorely needed.
Absolutely fascinating! So well done and full of information and messages. Not to be missed!
What a fantastic day out! Money well spent. Educational and enjoyable. (Do the boat ride)
Good fun. Learning. Brings you in touch with your species and your past.
Very good cultural place. The people are very friendly, the prices are exaggerated from the shop. We could not reach the caves, since we have to walk 10 kms
Visited Lion and Safari Park. Lovely. Much better than the old park. You can even drive with your own vehicle to the animals, if you want to.
The idea of this place is great. But it lacked a lot of real bones. A lot of replicas. Most of the bones are at Universities or other museums. :-/ It has a decent history lesson about Africa.
Really worth the time spent there. Very interesting
Thee place to go to teach our kids about human revolution
Very educational and laid out in such a way that it is accessible to all ages
The place is amazing, the staff is more than friendly
I LOVE this place!
Visited the Cradle of Humankind on a number of occasions. Very informative, educational and entertaining.
Great museum, thank you. Esp. The March for freedom in front of the place is wonderful. let it grow.
Amazing experience. Friendly people, lovely outdoorsy views and going in the caves is just memorable.
Beautiful museum. Perfect trip out for a weekend morning.
