We went there for the family outing since it was my 9 year old son's pre-birthday outing and it was great. My 4 year old didn't like to be in the Sterkfontein Caves but enjoyed the Maropeng especially the boat ride. Well done guys, you deserve it. Keep it up and special thanks goes to the wonderful and friendly staff.

What a phenomenal experience. The boat ride starting off our tour down to the exhibits added to the "wow" factor. The exhibits themselves are eye catching and interactive and a fun experience for both young and old. The beautiful statues, situated next to the entrance, that depict many of the famous people that contributed towards the South African struggle for freedom, lend themselves to great photo opportunities. Efficiently run and well maintained centre with super friendly staff. Highly recommend this place for a visit.

Interesting outing with lots of history and stuff to keep the kids busy. Food vendors were terrible and the food court was dirty. Could also use more attractions etc.. one could do the entire thing in a fairly short time. Luckily, there are many, many other places nearby to eat at and even more places that have other activities to offer if you need to fill up the whole day.

Really enjoyed the Vertigo tube, mind bending experience. The underground boat ride was phenomenal. Exceptional service from all staff. Their greeting " welcome home " takes on a very different meaning. A must do in your lifetime.

Mrs Pless was found here , There are caves some 60 meters deep , not recommended for people with Asthma and limited mobility as there are around 300 steps one has to climb. There are places where one has to go through 1 meter ( Height) of openings. Basically have to crawl. Hard hats are given after you purchase your tickets .
