We hosted a get together for friends and chose the buffet menu so as to cater for all tastes. We were greeted in a friendly way and shown to our table. Drinks orders were taken and the buffet experience described. I must say that the service, food and ambiance were all first class and we had a very enjoyable lunch. A first rate experience.

My wife and I checked in, and from the time we were there, all the way till the end, it was a complete disaster.
We had breakfast every morning and every morning, it took at least 25 minutes to get a coffee/tea. Even then, we had to flag down our waiter/waitress to receive these items. I am not asking for a cocktail or a filet mignon, but it was really terrible how they would not serve you. On top of that, we noticed that the waiters/waitresses would attend to other tables right next to us. It was pretty apparent that they did not like us for no reason what so ever.
It took the reception desk at least 1-5 minutes to answer the front desk phone. In a typical hotel, they should be answering it within 10-30 seconds. All I wanted was toilet paper that the housekeeping service never replaced, and some tea.
Worst hotel stay I have ever had. We even asked the housekeeping to clean our room (put the placard on the outside of the door to say "Clean our room") only to find that the placard was turned around and our room was never cleaned.
When talking to the manager, all he did was offer free dinner at the restaurant, which doesnt help me at all since the service was so terrible.
I would never stay there again. This was for a work trip and I was completely dissatisfied.
(Edit- multiple occasions, if you're young or single you can wait a lifetime to be served whilst every other table around you, all have drinks, are repeatedly asked if they are ok. Absolute joke. Don't recommend) Excellent location with spacious patio and lawn onto the river. Service can be....frosty...
I was working from the lounge at the Runnymede for an afternoon. The staff were lovely and the lounge and WiFi are perfect for working. Reasonable hotel prices for food and drink also.
My partner and I had a wonderful time at the spa with a lovely full body massage. We then had a drink at the bar. The staff is really friendly and helping. We highly recommend the place.
My partner and I had a wonderful time here at the Runnymede on Thames. The room was cosy and comfortable and the food was excellent.
The West Bank Restaurant had a wonderful buffet selection over breakfast, lunch and dinner with warm kind staff. In particular, Liam from the bar staff went above an beyond to make us feel welcome and looked after.
We also had a few treatments in the Spa which was relaxing and rejuvenating. I cannot reccomend the Spa staff enough, all of them kind and down to earth.
On our final day the reception staff provided us with healthy duck feed and we feed the ducks and played board games along the river bank.
We finished our visit with an afternoon tea that was delicious, only improved by the service Archie, our waiter provided. I could not reccomend enough.
Staff are extremely helpful. Hotel lovely and buffet resturant superb. Spa facilities are relaxing and spotless. Set on the riverbank with lovely walks and only 15 minutes to Windsor Town Centre.
Had Boxing Day lunch here.Seven of us attended. All seven agreed to repeat the experience next Boxing Day and booked their and then.A thoroughly enjoyable experience and every member of staff we dealt with were friendly, competent and helpful.
I was reccommended the spa by a friend. Although the lady who done my treatment was lovely, and the surroundings pleasent. It was lovely to lay in silence without the kids! However disappointed is how I felt. I did not say anything at the time as I was with a friend using her birthday gift voucher and didn't want to dampen her experience. I am a hairdresser and nail technician myself and work within the industry. My manicure I had no cuticle work done, bits were missed with the top coat, generally not a good finish, and it lasted me a whole 2 hours. My facial, was pleasent, but as standard you get skin annalised, extraction, a neck, shoulder arm massage, I did not. I was also ment to have a scalp massage. A Little rub around the hairline is not a scalp massage. In general dissapointed and with the price tag, reviews was expecting supreme and got mediocre. I have had much better, elsewhere for less. Dissapointed
Myself and my now wife, got married at The Runnymede on Thames in June 2017. We had the most perfect wedding. All the staff at the venue were fantastic. Waiting staff, bar staff and chefs made sure myself, my wife and our guests ate and drank well throughout the day. The staff that we had more contact with throughout the planning and organisation of our day were the faultless. They helped us relax by taking a lot of pressure of us and setting us at ease early on. I cannot recommend the Runnymede on Thames enough. We will definitely be returning there.
Very nice breakfast buffet spread, including: bacon done three different ways, eggs scrambled or to order, potatoes, fruits, cereals, juices, many tasty pastries, and more! Also, a beautiful view from the dining area looking onto the Thames.
Fantastic location on the banks of the Thames, with great walks from the hotel. Loved the quirky garden "furniture" in the grounds and the collection of themed ducks inside. Friendly and helpful staff.
Just 20 or so minutes from Heathrow, an ideal place to stopover. The rooms are lovely with great facilities (the free WiFi was very useful) and the hotel is in a beautiful setting, right beside the Thames. The staff are also very helpful and friendly. Will definitely be returning!
Bit pub-like but prices were 4-star hotel! However, rooms ok - my 'deluxe ' WAS bigger than a standard and so was bathroom -but river-view not much use. Corridors a bit noisy with children, hotel not bad, staff ALL helpful and pleasant. They do a big line in anniversary, wedding, special birthday groups. Busy place, big, lots of 1- and 2-night bookings. 2 nice pools, in and out, and a spa - looked ok, nice staff, but I didn't use it.
This is without question the only hotel worth the price in the area. Staff are superb. Rooms vary but are all adequate or better for the rating. Fabulous random works of art dot the grounds and public areas setting the style. Brilliant, fresh, warm scones in the afternoon and fabulous sourdough bread at the generous breakfast buffet. This buffer sets a very high standard. I have not eaten recently in the restaurants but they have been good when I have.
This was a work related visit (supplier meeting / lunch). The place felt special. Warm contemporary decor, very clean, brilliant (set) menu. The service staff made you feel good.
A great hotel that I have visited for social functions on two occasions. The food is great and the service excellent. I did not have to pay so cannot comment on price or value for money.
Excellent level of reception and quality of services. The staff is very courteous and helpful. The location on the Thames, a few miles from Windsor and Ascot, is splendid.
Been for several times for Christmas party. Good environment, attentive staff. The food is good. Prices are reasonable, compared with similar places with similar service
We had my mother-in-law's 90th birthday celebration there. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly throughout. Great location and Nice Views of the river. Decent food and good value. Recommended!
Fantastic weekend celebration for wedding anniversary and Christmas. We enjoyed the afternoon tea, the breakfasts, the spa and the massages. Fantastic.
