We stayed in the suite, which was lovely. It has the most beautiful bathroom with shower, bath and double basins. The living room area is spacious and nicely fitted out. The only negative was that the buffet breakfast at Vigour and Verve was not that great; the selection was good but the preparation was not. For the overall I would recommend though.

My favourite destination in Gauteng. Wonderful experience every time!

The standard room at the Silverstar Hotel is certainly bigger than expected. There is a king-size bed, 2 wardrobes, TV, desk and comfortable chair, and in a small alcove there is a bar fridge and tea/coffee amenities.
The bathroom is spacious with 2 basins, shower, bath and toilet, and huge towels to wrap yourself in.
The bath plug was a bit tricky until we got the hang of it and the bath is huge. Complimentary toiletries add to the package.
Being at the Casino and Resort we were able to choose from restaurants for dinner. The included breakfast was plentiful and very good.

rooms are shabby. things not working or damaged. maintenance seems to be lacking. at first glance it seems nice. but once you settle it quickly becomes clear the room has seen better days. dimmers do not work right. AC is hard to figure out. wife complained about bites on her skin.

Southern Sun Hotel really is my home away from home no matter where it is really I enjoy every single moment spent with them really because of their great service, great environment and awesome bars and restaurants situated within them I love them so much this time I was with my sister and we got a chance to also view their VIP are which was really amazing..Silver Prive

Beautiful suite but ordering food what a joke and the excuse was changing shifts, close on 2 hrs waiting for food and drinks

Never disappoints and always maintains it's high standard.

Funny place to stop off get some food with the family play some games at the arcade laser tag, bowling, movies@silver star or get a drink with you're mates at publicity or have a night out at the barnyard listen to live music and comedy shows

Excellent value for money on even a standard room. I highly recommend it. Staff are friendly, breakfast is amazing and the facilities are superb.

I must just thank you guys for such amazing service! Your rooms are so well kept... My fiance had a surprise engagement and the staff came in and set up the room for us for after the engagement...

Great looking hotel but useless, unmotivated & lazy reception staff.

First visit: receptionist #1 was sleeping, #2 reading a newspaper.
Neither one was interested in helping and could barely advise on rates
& availability.

2nd visit during the afternoon: Female receptionist, completely bored
and unhelpful. Prices had somehow increased since the first visit
4 hours earlier.

So yeah - we didn't book any accommodation.

2 stars for the amazing architecture.

I enjoyed my stay at Silver star and I will recommend it to my friends and relatives. The hotel is really a star.

The place is exquisite & the restaurants are top class

Always a safe environment for taking the kids with. I have a 9 and 12 year old boys and they ask everytime to go back.e and my wife doent gamble but enjoys the restaurants and movies

Poor Hotel service, mini bar doesn't even have enough water in! All light switches aren't working! And so much more... Very disappointing

Took my wife away as an early woman's Day spoil. She really enjoyed the spa. The hotel room had a nice view of the water fountain. Staff was friendly. Stayed with a toddler, really enjoyed the open space

Lovely family environment. Lots to do with the kids and lovely eateries well placed to give a great ambiance. Makes you feel like you've taken a holiday!

What i like most is the executive rooms,their privacy and you find the room at the temperature depending on the season.

It's like a different world here. Everything is in the palm of your hand. There's a lot of entertainment and a variety of restaurants. No driving required, it will be a fun filled experience.

Excellent casino resort with a great variety of restaurants and events to keep you entertained. The rooms are awesome and stylishly decorated. Service from the hotel staff was great.

This hotel was well decorated, the staff are friendly. Parking is easily accessible. Very clean and well maintained. The design is modern. Has a few good restaurants. The king suite room is ideal for a family of 4. It's definitely larger than a few other hotels I've been too. There is a spa which offers free use of its pool to hotel guests. A great Hair Bar as well. The view outside our rooms was very relaxing with the water features.

It was a delightful experience. Staff were pleasant and professional, in particular Koketso and her colleague. Food served in the conference room was delicious.

Went to watch rugby at Bok Town, amazing experience, thank you Silverstar xxx

We had wonderful time at Southern Sun Silverstar. I will definitely come back to this place we had lots of fun and we were treated like kings.

The food was great! I even had a chance to try Sushi for first time

Loved the service, but the soap they use to wash their laundry was too harsh for my skin!
