The restaurant at the visitor centre was very nice. The steak at the restaurant was done very well and we enjoyed the wilderness views whilst having a lovely supper! A great place for a romantic dinner!

This place feels home. And I love the authenticity of the place. You feel some sort of connection to the place. Overall the experience is great you don't see the sun go down. There's is alot to learn and experience. Not forgetting the catering, magnificent. The staff is very friendly.

Really cool place. So much information and knowledge to be absorbed.

It was extremely interesting to read/hear/see about all the archeological finds. They also have really interactive media for all the exhibits. It makes it fun to find out more.

One of the most amazing learning experiences anyone could wish for. The knowledge and passion of the guide Lindiwe was infectious. Half an hour out of Jhb and it definitely worth a visit

Hard to find because it s actually two separate places, but it s worth it. So one place has an exhibition inside and a learning center and the other has another exhibition with a mini tube ride and some caves.

I will definitely tell every one I know about your little heaven. Everything is soo beautiful. There is a loving thouch throughout the venue. The sttaff & management are excellent. Soo kind, pleasant & eager to please you in every way. The meals, snacks & fresh juices were delicious. Complements to the excellent cheffs. The whole atmosphere is relaxed & happy. The rooms were beautiful. Comfort was catered for you every need. And spotlessly clean & neat.

If I could rate this place six stars I would. The entire exhibition is put together so wonderfully. My favourite part was the vortex bridge after the boat ride. Also, let me give you some advice by telling you not to bother with the Sterkfontein Caves... It's too hot down there and there are too many stairs. Your legs will ache for the rest of the week and there are places in the cave where you have to crawl on your hands and knees like some sort of neanderthalen peasant. Maropeng is definitely worth the visit though.

Informative, interesting. The museum is an awesome building, designed to be low impact on the environment it's tucked away and hidden in the landscape. The exhibits are informative and clever, a stimulating and fascinating journey through the ancient history of the earth and the human species.

I find the advertising hype a bit over-rated. Not somewhere I plan to visit again. Once is enough. Great scenery, great drive, good lunch venue. Exhibition not the most exciting or entertaining.
