Nice hotel, great location and awesome rate. Would 100% recommend the Collonade
Nice hotel, great location and awesome rate. Would 100% recommend the Collonade
Very good staff. Well located in Back Bay. Behind the Prudential Center and close to everything. Metro in the door facilitates displacements. Boston is fantastic and Colonade Hotel is a great starting point.
The Colonnade hotel is an excellent hotel in the downtown of Boston MA. The location of the hotel is superb e.g., near Prudential Centre and other shopping areas. The hotel room quality is very good with regard to bed, bathroom and amenities provided. The staffs are cordial, helpful and nice. For business or leisure travel the hotel is ideal to spend quality time with friends and family. The Internet connection is also quite good. The hotel rooms are quite, peaceful and comfortable to work and relax. This is an ideal hotel for people looking to have a nice and pleasant stay in the downtown Boston.
Staying at this hotel while exhibiting at PAX East. This evening, had noisy neighbors next door. At 12:30, asked them to be quieter so we could sleep. 20 minutes later, night manager Jeff Roses calls us and admonishes us to stop bothering our neighbors, or he'll call the cops.
When I point out that that we're lying in bed, and they're the ones making noise, Mr. Roses asserted that he'd been up to the floor, and that the people in the next room weren't 'excessively' loud. When I demurred, pointing out that we could hear them clearly through the connecting door, he admitted that noise leakage through the connecting doors was an endemic problem for Colonnade.
He offered-- at 1 AM-- to move us to another, perhaps quieter room. Us, mind you, not the folks making the noise. He does not appear to grasp why this is a non-solution to our problem.
Or, I should say, problems: the noisy neighbors and the annoying hotel staff. Mr. Roses mix of indifference and belligerence is my most striking impression of this supposedly luxurious hotel. If I have to be treated like this, perhaps it could be for less than $300 a night?
The Colonnade Boston Hotel provides one of the best hotel experiences in Boston. Ideally located the caring and professional staff insure you feel welcomed and cared for from the door, through registration, and throughout your stay. Brasserie Jo is an outstanding dining experience, rooms are immaculate and include all the amenities you need. An outstanding Boston hotel experience.
Very nice place. The subway entrance was right outside the hotel which was very convenient...a huge plus, as the 'T' was so easy to use to get around the city. Hotel is located across the street from the convention center, mall, and restaurants. Great neighborhoods behind the hotel made it nice for walking or jogging, or grabbing something to eat at a local tavern, like the Five Horses Tavern. Amenities were average (nice) compared to other hotels, but the rooftop pool was great. A family-friendly place.
Very expensive food , hotel clean some time u need to go ask for towels, other things
Great hotel with clean, modern rooms. Rooftop pool offers nice views and a nice escape from city life. When we stayed here the Toronto Blue Jays were also staying in the hotel.
Wonderful restaurant, elegant ambience, delicious cuisine.
Lovely rooms and great location opposite Prudential Mall. Parking is $48 a night and there's a great greasy spoon just the next block over (Thornton's) for breakfast.
We had the double bed room and the room was ample enough.
I was really underwhelmed by the service. I arrived and had shipped some packages to be received and the staff really approached my request like they were too busy to find my items even at one point saying to come back the next day. I had to go back 3-4 times and ask multiple people before someone actually looked and found a final package. I was waiting to get into a room and didn't receive a room alert. Upon booking, there were numerous phone issues, where the phone cut out or no one could hear me, it was really crazy. I tried live chat on the site and no agents were available, I tried FB chat and no one was still available, the next day someone responded to me. The valet/parking situation is anything but luxury service. We went to the parking garage and there were no spots, brought the car back to the front, they parked it. When we went to pick it up there was no valet staff, they sent us to pay on the second floor, then back to the lobby to get the keys and back up to the parking garage. It was really inefficient and poorly communicated. We called for bell service to bring our luggage and waited for over 30 mins. The rooms were fine but the comforter edges are ragged and worn and outdated. Overall I was unimpressed for such an expensive hotel. I would have expected more pro-activity from the staff. The reality is that every hotel was busy this weekend and we stayed at another hotel Friday and had an amazing experience. Clearly, they could use more staff or a technology update to help supplement for the staff. It just was not a 4 star experience and I dont think the pool warrants this price. Stay somewhere else and drive to the beach.
Clean room, located very close to Prudential, needed a new shower head
Wonderful bar, great service. The bar tender was very nice and accommodating for my rowdy group of friends.
Wonderful stay at this well positioned hotel, the hop on hop off your stops outside as do other tours, the subway is outside and mainline station an 8 Mon walk away, close to 3 fab restaurants and the cheesecake factory opposite was amazing, cannot wait to return xx
Excellent location; lack of restaurant was a drawback.
Very nice hotel, great people at front desk and nice place to stay. Would definitely stay again if visiting Boston
Very nice hotel and conveniently close to the convention center. Staff was polite and professional. When the price is right, a great place to stay in Boston.
A great experience, far cheaper to stay here for Anime Boston than the competition at the convention center itself. Literally across the street, couldn't have been better.
Hreat place to stay! Very high end. Never stayed at a hotel before. :/ but this one was a good experience!
We enjoyed our stay at the Colonnade very much. Our first time in Boston was a pleasant experience!
Our family of four (2 adults, 2 young kids) enjoyed our two-night stay at the Colonnade Boston. The room was big enough to accommodate four of us and was clean, comfortable, and recently updated with great views. The onsite parking and green line T right outside the door made getting around a breeze. Additionally, you can't beat the location with shopping and plenty of restaurants. The only con we experienced was that the pool was filthy, very crowded and not the most family-friendly environment.
Loved the rooftop, although prices are a bit expensive. However, the pool and the view makes it worth it to go.
Small room, small bathroom. Staff did not smile or say hello when walking around. Most negative was common area cleanliness- old room service and trash was left in the hallways hours on end. Also, while rooms were being cleaned they were left propped open with personal belongs clearly in view but no staff in view. With so much competition in the surrounding area would have expected more- small amenities like robes in room or flexibility of late check-out would have made the stay more worth it. Rooftop pool area was nice but small, just an average menu. Water pressure in shower was great.
Attending a meeting here, the staff were very polite and helpful. Good first contact
Very fun, comfortable staff was very accommodating and friendly. Beds were very comfortable and soft, supple even. Awesome location, easy access to all the things.
Friendly staff, from the moment we arrived until departure.
Absolutely wonderful stay. Room extraordinarily comfortable. Bed and pillow were perfection. I usually cannot sleep well in hotels but was so very comfortable, almost immediately drifted off into a pleasant slumber. Staff is great. Particularly the night service associate. Very calming and welcoming presence!
Very nice hotel, gym facilities are particularly nice.
Technically a review of the rooftop area which they offer free to the public during summer afternoons. A great little way to incorporate locals into a business like a hotel! These rooftop pool times are generally packed to capacity with people, so if you're looking for some space and more quiet, try the Rooftop @ Revere which charges a fee to use their rooftop pool area.
The rooftop has a full bar, tableside service, and changing rooms.
Exceptional customer service from beginning to end of our stay. Staff is super friendly and accommodating.
Went to a northeastern senior banquet. The food was great and the conference room was beautiful! Great service!
Beautiful Clean great location
The staff was amazing, helpful & kind.
Highly recommend
We regularly hold professional meetings at the Colonnade and always cap them with a dinner at Brassiere JO. The experience has never been short of wonderful!
Well not what I expected. Very friendly staff and decent rooms, but no microwave in the whole building. We were in a double room were the cable was very choppy and seemed like the walls were pretty thin. We could hear the people next to us talking. Aside from this the breakfast area was lacking a little, but at least it was free
The hotel was extremely worn down. The furniture in the room felt like they just put together the cheapest used stuff they could find from Craiglist. The staff couldn't have cared less. There was 0 recognition for the iPrefer program, which was the reason why I chose this hotel. Absolutely never to return again.
They advertise a refrigerator but it doesn t cool like a fridge. It s basically a cooler. Location isn t great. If I went again, I would stay by the harbor. Not really kid friendly. More for 20-30 year olds
Front desk service is quick and great. Available to check in earlier.
Hotel just next to the Prudential station.
Gave me a room with a sofa futon even though I reserved a room months in advance.
Yoga at the roof top pool Wednesdays in the summer with Rebecca Pacheco can't be beat.
Perfect location. Friendliest staff. Comfortable beds. Great view. Great value. Most rooms are freshly renovated (others to be completed soon along with the lobby). New restaurant also opening soon. Can't beat the roof top pool in the summer months.
Just wanted to take the time to acknowledge the outstanding service that my boyfriend and I received during our stay at The Colonnade. Such a great atmosphere since the moment we walked in. The two gentlemen at the front desk greeted us and were very welcoming. I was very impressed on how they were taking the necessary precautions during covid. The rooftop was a great place for food and drinks and the staff was super friendly. Unfortunately, before traveling to Boston I had injured my ankle, causing our stay to be shortened because I was unable to walk. I had explained this to the front desk and they were extremely accommodating and made sure that I was taken care of. Such great customer service! Even though our trip was shortened, I would love to come back to Boston and stay at The Colonnade in the near future!
Great girls night away! For the past 5 years my friends and I have been coming for a birthday celebration and everyone here has been great. The front desk is very accommodating for early check-ins and late check- outs. We have really enjoyed the RTP and the staff there. Best rooftop pool in Boston!
Great location in Boston can't be beat. We had a beautiful room, and super comfy bed with a lot of pillows. Everything you would expect from a multi four diamond award winner. Their staff was really helpful with the luggage opening doors etc, etc. Seemed to genuinely want us to love our stay with them and in Boston in general . Only one issue remote batteries for the t.v. went dead called the front desk though and had a completely different working remote in a few mins. Pool on the roof was a nice escape. Will stay here again next time I'm here. It getting harder to find good respectful service these days hats off to them. I've never written an online review until now but when I read some of the negative reviews about this place I wanted to defend what I believe is a fantastic hotel. For those of you who complained about the dirty cheap tile in the bathrooms, a little education it is real marble sorry. Thanks colonnade.
Beautiful hotel. Very clean and comfortable. We had a problem with the TV and someone came very quickly to fix it. It is centrally located in the city
The service that my wife and I received at the Colonaade was second to none!
For the price of the room this hotel room was rather shabby and worn. TV did not work properly. Reading Lights on the bed did not work at all. Very poor lighting in the room. Tattered rug in the bathroom.
Should have been half the price.
I always try to stay here if I'm coming through Boston. Great price for the level of quality you're getting, and probably the best location you could ask for. Incredibly friendly and knowledgeable staff as well.
The Colonnade Hotel is very conveniently located in Boston s Back Bay, close to shopping and restaurants. The staff is very efficient and accommodating and welcoming.
It would be better if if it had a bar/restaurant but there are plenty in the area.
I would definitely recommend staying at The Colonnade.
Very nice hotel. The room was very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Thank you.
I wish I could award 0 stars! The pool was closed although the website stated they were open. There was no dining, due to renovations (which was explained to me two days before my arrival), yet I was charged full rates. The cable TV was in and out, same as the wifi. There is no way that this is a 5 star hotel. Terrible amenities, small rooms and outdated. Not worth the money! The Marriott and Hilton are both near by and much nicer. So disappointed. I explained this to management and all I got was a "tough luck" attitude.
Staff was helpful and very personable. Location is very convenient. Hotel is starting to look a little worn around the edges, but otherwise a good experience.
I was sent here on a voucher after a flight was cancelled at 1am. The overnight staff was so friendly and even gave me snacks when I realized no restaurants were open.
Stayed here over the weekend with several family members. We had two rooms, which were connected. The location was great and the staff was very friendly. We stayed on the 6th floor which could have been cleaner, we noticed lots of dust and trash under hallway furniture. The room itself was a nice size and fairly clean. Our problems were with the bathroom and thermostat. In one of the bathrooms the tub floor was several inches above the bathroom floor resulting in an air/water pocket in the tub floor. It was extremely wobbly to stand on and my aunt fell down, it is a hazard. The thermostat did not work in either room we stayed in so the room was either freezing cold or stifling hot. We notified the hotel desk of the issues.
Great location. Rooms need some tlc. Staff was nice, helpful and seem to really love their jobs. Don't forget to enjoy the roof top pool.
Front desk staff is very professional and welcoming. 11th floor room had a great view and the outdoor pool was very nice. The staff at RoofTopPool worked very hard and are very attentive to guests needs.
The Colonnade is a Fantastic hotel, all the staff are very warm, friendly and helpful. As a disabled guest my needs were met and the expectations for staying at this hotel were surpassed. The hotel is situated in a very ideal spot and I would highly recommend The Colonnade to anybody staying in Boston.
Incredible rooms and breakfast served. Love the egg Benedict.
I think the most underrated part of this hotel was the amenities. My best friend was staying at the Mariott Copley Place down the street, which was $30 more than my stay at the Colonnade. In my hotel, as opposed to hers, I had free wi-fi, complimentary water bottles, complimentary bath robes, and even a free rubber duckie! The hotel has a classic old glamour feel, and is right across the street from the Prudential Center, a shopping mall. I can't recommend this hotel enough!
Classy, sophisticated and ..... free. The roof top pool offers a great escape from a hot summer day. Nothing makes a girl and her friends feel classier then sitting by the pool with a drink in her hand enjoying the beautiful sunset over the Boston skyline. But a word of warning the pool is 21+ after 5 pm for non-hotel guest.
In-room thermostats are mostly decorative. They don't control the temperature, just the fan. Not providing guests heat or hot water on a cold, wet, rainy and raw April week is absolutely unconscionable. I checked-in feeling fit and well and checked-out drained and sick.
I went to a catered event in the Boston Ballroom and was very pleased by the excellent food and setting!
Very nice hotel, but the pool on the roof was drained, so that was disappointing.
A beautiful hotel with an amazing staff who made the experience great. Was very impressed by how smoothly everything went and how prepared the hotel was having thought through every detail.
Excellent location and the staff went beyond expectations in their level of service.
Convenient walk to Fenway. The hotel was so nice and our room was very clean. The parking garage fills up quickly but the staff in the garage helped us find a spot and parked our giant truck. Parking is extra $48 not included in room but worth it. Next time I will stay longer to enjoy the rooftop pool and bar.
Clean, friendly staff. Food and drink were on point and in copious amounts.
I went to the rooftop bar at The Colonnade and I can't recommend this place enough. There's a $10 cover charge after 5:00 PM over here. If you're going with friends, I suggest trying out pitchers of Sangria or the different variations of Moscow mule in the communal size. I would also suggest taking your bathing suit with you because they have a pool as well and you can take a dip while you're there.
Just checked in and there is an opened champagne bottle and plastic cup in my room. The AC is so loud I thought no I wont be able to sleep. Too tired to request to change the room. On the other hand I lost my phone charger and the receptionist was nice enough to give me one for free.. I would not stay in this hotel nex time.
Very friendly staff who are quick to assist you in any way possible. Very clean and modern rooms. Unbelievably easy access to the Prudential Center and Hynes Convention Center. A great place to stay in the heart of Boston.
Good location (in front of subway and Tour Buses stops). Very nice room and bed.
An overall very enjoyable experience staying at the Colonnade for five nights. Adjacent to the convention center, Prudential Center for shopping and lunch eats, so everything you need to right there. Although upscale, prices were somewhat lower than surrounding hotels, including prices in the in-house restaurant and bar. Staff (bartenders, cleaning services, concierge, front desk, wait staff), all were very courteous. Would certainly stay there again and highly recommend them.
