Reviews on Trip Advisor will certainly tell you the same about this multiple four-diamond hotel. Service is great - between communication via email directly with reservations and upon arriving/ checking in.

Very comfy bed, though I personally think having 7 pillows all to myself is a bit ridiculus. Pillow Fights however are awesome. If I can score a good rate again during the summer, I'd definitely come back during the Summer and check out their rooftop pool.

Pro:

Pro:
- Great location in the Back Bay area (5 minutes walk from Copley Square).
- Metro (Prudential stop) in front of the hotel entrance. 10 minutes walk from Back Bay train station.
- Very large room, with the presence of a round table and two chairs.
- Presence of a Bluetooth alarm clock radio connected to your device.
- Presence of a coffee machine with pods (not used).
- Two bottles of water available every day.
- Presence of a shopping center across the street with shops and restaurants (including eataly).

Versus:
- Presence of carpet.
- Bathroom a little small compared to the rest of the room with a bathtub.
- Absence of breakfast. On this last aspect I was rather perplexed. I state that I was convinced that I had booked breakfast as always. On the first day I ask the reception where breakfast is served and they answer me on the rooftop. It seemed rather strange to me, having just seen the rooftop (it didn't seem the right place for a self-service breakfast). The next day I go up, I discover that breakfast is not included in the reservation and I realize that the same is not the classic breakfast buffet, but is served at the tables (among other things also by the pool attendant) choosing from some menu (the cost if I remember correctly was over $ 20). Alternatively there was a breakfast in the room (very sparse) to be chosen always from some menus. It leaves me somewhat puzzled that a 4-star hotel does not have a buffet breakfast room (I found it even in many hostels and university residences). From what I understand they have a room (bistro) on the ground floor which has been the subject of work for a long time.
- Charge management. At the time of check-in (08.18.2019) the entire amount of the reservation ($ 1.017) is blocked, plus $ 400 as a deposit. At the time of check-out (4.9.2019) I will be debited with the actual amount of the reservation, but the amount of the pre-authorization charged to me upon my arrival is blocked on my card. This amount was released only on 11.9.2019, after sending two emails to the hotel where I asked to cancel the debit of the pre-authorization (which had led me to the credit card ceiling).
- Lastly, I point out that the fire alarm (false alarm) was sounded at 4.9 in the morning on 4.9.19, forcing us all to go down quickly (thank goodness I was already dressed)

Nice hotel, nice location, somewhat lacking room maintenance. The facets in the bathroom kept falling down, which was promptly fixed. The fan was very loud, which was not fixed, but the windows could be opened, so that was not much of a problem. Overall, positive experience, but I would not want to stay there during the AC season.

I liked the hotel a lot. We stayed in February of 2016. The location was very nice and we had a very nice view. I wasn't sure how I'd like the place as we usually only boost Marriotts. Te whole place has an upscale feel that makes you feel special (somewhat like a Sofitel or Westin). Our stay extended over the Valentine's Day weekend and it was nice that the hotel offered a complimentary lovers' picture...framed and matted - quite nice. The room was small but we enjoyed the unique shape and comfortable beds. Cleanliness was super, staff wonderful. The only thing I didn't like had to do with parking. The parking garage is extremely tight and it was a challenge to navigate our Mercedes ML through the lot. We ended up leaving the car and using Uber. Also, the price to park is awfully high. In the end, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and I wouldn't hestitate to reccomens this hotel to friends staying in Boston.

Very good hotel, in a good location near the city center, with brand new furniture and attentive staff. It's a bit pricy though, but if price is not a concern it is a good value for the money.

the continental breakfast buffet was not good. One would expect a better selection and quality of food when you charge $ 19.
The dinner food was OK but not excellent.
The lock in the bathroom door was broken.

Our stay at the Colonnade Hotel was a true five star experience. Boston has so many hotels to choose from, but few offer the personalized service that you will find at the Colonnade. We visited the Roof Top Pool (RTP) and it felt like we were at a Caribbean Resort, you forget you're in the middle of a City. The staff couldn't have been nicer and more friendly from beginning to end. What a great stay!

I loved this hotel! The staff was friendly and helpful, rooms had floor to ceiling windows that opened, comfortable beds/linens, complimentary bottled water daily, mini-frig, and well stocked for morning Keurig coffee/tea. Complimentary internet was quick and easy to use - no log-in required. Location is walking distant to great restaurants, shopping, and points of interest.

I have stayed at this hotel twice while attending PAX East and both times were exceptional. The staff is very helpful and the hotel restaurant and bar are amazing. Everyone is always ready and willing to help out in any way they can. Well worth the money.

Nice accommodations. Climate control in the rooms was so-so. Very nice staff, super friendly and courteous. Rooms were a bit on the small side, but hotel is really conveniently located.

Overall, I enjoyed my stay at the Colonnade. The room was a decent size, very clean with good amenities. There are a ton of businesses within walking distance, and easy access to public transportation. The only negatives are no fridge and for some reason our bathroom didn't have a lock or latch. Overall, though, I liked my stay here.

For anyone thinking of booking this hotel with children should know this...The pool is not kid friendly. If your child even dares to make a splash they will be talked to. The pool was a big draw for our family. If we would have known that the pool was not really for children we would have stayed elsewhere. The staff were not friendly. Disappointed!

From the moment you walk through the door (or are met at the curb), the experience is warm, hospitable and familial. As a frequent guest it is enjoyable to be greeted and remembered. All of the staff from front door, to desk, concierge, room service and housekeeping go an extra mile to accommodate and deliver! Rooms are larger than we have gotten used to which is a pleasure and the beds and linens are fresh, quality and top line.

Clean, comfy rooms and friendly staff. Parking was too expensive for us so we parked at the Riverside station and walked in a few blocks. The hotel is close to train stations so it was easy to get anywhere we wanted to go in Boston. Lots of food options and cafes nearby the hotel. We would definitely return.

The rooftop pool has been the perfect getaway this strange summer - thank you Colonnade! If you haven t tried it the view of Boston is amazing and even the food is tasty. Service is great also.

I spent two nights there for a business trip. Both nights were disrupted by loud drunk guests -- either roaming the hall next to my room or having a party in the room next time mine (11p-1am). I had to call front desk and get security involved. First night <3hrs sleep ; second night ~4hrs sleep. Ear plugs didn't work either time. Other than that it was a nice hotel -- decent food.

Super clean property. Staff from bellmen to front desk to concierge to housekeeping to maintenance we're all wonderful. Beds and pillows we're very comfortable. Convenient location. Fantastic water pressure. Rooftop pool cabanas are gorgeous. The coffee machines were not clean and need to be upgraded and the temperature control for the room was limited. But overall great property.

Awful! The big things and the little things and the staff.
- First, our double room, which we payed 500$/night for was adjacent to a water pipe so every time someone flushed the water above us, we had a gushing sound that woke us up in the middle of the night.
- It feels like they have a "be cheap and give the bare minimum polilcy". There were no toothbrushes\pastes at the room but you had to go down to the lobby and ask for them. There was on soap bar for 3 people! 4 star hotel, 500+$/night!
- No one helped us with our bags, we had to go retrieve them ourselves from the back room
- The staff was SO rude to us.
1. We order a two package deliveries to our room. The package was split up to a 7 small packages of which the hotel lost 1 while assuring us all the boxes were there. Only upon providing them the tracking number and proof they looked for the missing box and wolla, found it! This process took an hour and we were patient, mistakes happen.
2. Then, the manger came and was ANGRY at us - THE GUESTS: He told us, quote: "You must be more strategic with your ordering" and asked "why do you even order things to the hotel, is it cheaper here than your country" and suggested I pay "service charge" ie tip for their "service". How insulting! Not only it's not their business what I order and how it's the hotel's service to handle the packages.
The guy understood he crossed the line and offered me free beer to my room (which we declined).
I warn everyone - DO NOT STAY here.

I really enjoyed my stay in the Colonnade. Staff in the hotel were extremely warm, friendly and helpful.
Location was good as it was right beside underground train station and within walking distance from Boston Common.
Would be happy to stay there again.
