Great atmosphere but very pricey. Room is affordable, everything else is crazy.
Great atmosphere but very pricey. Room is affordable, everything else is crazy.
It was beautiful, but i wish they lowered the temperature because it was hot in reception and bar area.
Was a nice resort, lots of amenities. Half of rooms were renovated, the other half are being renovated. Still dated in other areas of the resort, looked like a great resort in the 90s. Best part was the service, all were helpful and courteous. Would stay here again
I was there to see the Vice President. The place and staff are wonderful and professional.
We dined at Top of the Rock and it was wonderful! The views of Phoenix are breathtaking and the cuisine was fantastic. All of the service staff was friendly and extremely knowledgeable.
Great family location.. excellent service with that relaxation in mind
the rooms are decent, clean, but the layout is extremely confusing and it's usually hard to find the room your in. the landscaping and view is pretty though
Older property. Internet is horrible. Over priced. Needs major renovation. Marriott's are usually the best in the business, but not this one.
2700 + Marroitt nights. This was one of the most disappointing. Rooms are old and need an update. Poorly furnished. The closet, sink and toilet are situated so close that two people have trouble moving. We 7 meals in Phoenix. The two we had here were the worst by far. There's more.
The food is great here at both the top of the rock restaurant and the market cafe. When I visit Arizona I love sitting outside especially this time of year. So we enjoyed our breakfast, lunch and dinner sitting in the terrace. Everyone here is supper nice. We enjoyed our massages at the spa. Rooms are pretty comfortable. I wish the noise from the pool and the corridors wasn t as much but we managed to mask it by leaving the AC fan on. Overall pretty good!
Excellent location. The hotel is very comfortable. It has several restaurants and the pool is Magnifica.
This is a wonderful hotel. The staff are always smiling and happy. You will feel great by all the energy!
Great Wagu Beef Ribs for our Anniversary! Thank you for expediting our order so we could see our Beautiful show at Gammage.
Beautiful location, plenty of spaces to park and the views are stunning.
Service was welcoming, rooms felt at home and clean, beautiful sky and location
Great view. Ribeye was fabulous! Great staff as well.
Came on business. $10 overnight per night parking fee on top of nightly rate is ridiculous. Rooms are comfy, some of the furnishings are a little outdated. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Restaurant at top of rock serves very good food, but at roughly $40 per plate.
The room was well-furnished with a great view. The beds were comfotable. However the shower door didn't seal properly.
Pool is amazing, environment is really nice, rooms need to be redone.
Great place loved it did a photobooth there. Thank you for having me there. The hotel employees are great there!
The credit/debit card reading machine hotel doesn t read a chip embedded card! Can you believe this? Only magnetic swipes. The ATM reader in the hotel reads.
Went with my siters and friends we hade a blast! It was so beautiful and BIG. The pool was AMAZING. We especially loved the little glass panel on the wall of the river. If that makes sense?
Was there for a conference. Food was excellent. Although all the servers were nice, one particularly was very nice wishing us all a blessed day.
Low ceilings made the room feel like a dungeon and not in a good way. Also popcorn ceilings? The room AC was the loudest system I have ever heard. There are much better options in Phoenix.
Always love staying at the Buttes. Great staff and location, and a wonderful pool. This visit, we took a Sunday morning yoga class WOW! What a great instructor, and a great way to start the day! Rooms are always clean and comfortable.
I stayed here for the first time this week...Nice resort nestled on the side of a butte...It has a great hill top restaurant, pool side bar and one of the best spas in Phoenix. On top of that, if you re a sucker for a beautiful sunrise or sunset, this is the place to stay.
Great location and very clean facility. Friendly staff.
Great food beautiful views from the deck of Phoenix
The pool service was great. We had a hard time fighting lounge chairs bexUse the pool was pretty busy but we stationed ourselves up a few stairs. Sarah, our waitress was great. She checked on us frequently to make sure our drinks were filled and to see if we wanted anything else to eat. When my sister checked in they gave us a bottle of wine for the evening and some snacks. The service was top notch and I am already thinking about planning another staycation. Hotel room was comfortable. The bed was perfect and the pillows were amazing.
The location is great. It is not too far from the airport or the city. The landscape is designed very well, taking advantage of the natural features. The overall architecture of the hotel is also not bad, however some rooms are way too far from the elevator and the lobby.
The rooms on the lower floors are very dark which makes them cooler which is good but also depressing.
The overall cleanliness is good. You can see that the hotel is being maintained well for the most parts.
The restaurants are well managed and the food is above average.
The pool side service is good however some of the weekend staff which I assume more experienced are intentionally avoiding cleaning up after the service, awaiting less experienced staff to do so. I asked several times to have dishes to be removed that was left by my pool neighbors, it took 2 hours for them to remove, attracting flies all over. During this time, the staff passed by it more than 30 times.
Shower heads need to be replaced. Some rooms have a musty smell.
Overall, I would rate this hotel 3.5 and it could rate 5 star with very minimal improvements.
My husband was charged $ 5 for each package we ordered for Amazon. This additional cost does not appear on the page. It's a theft.
I've lived in Phoenix almost 30 years and this was the first time I've visited. The handcrafted cocktails we're amazing and our server was great. I work right down the street and definitely plan on stopping by for drinks more frequently.
Expensive but the perfect place for a special occasion like an anniversary.
Went to visit a friend who was in town for a few hours. The staff were very nice, polite, and helpful. The grounds were also well taken care of. It was an enjoyable experience.
If I could give no stars I would. Very poor service. The employees are very rude!!!!!! Management is awful. I would not recommend staying here to anyone!
Was there for a work function. Everything went well.
It was nice. Easy to find, park and be inside the building in no time.. not too much walking for my training rooms..
Top of the Rock restaurant! You have to try it. Amazing views of the valley . The chef is very creative with flavor from appetizers soups to the main course. I am always pleasantly surprised.
Impressed with the building. Nice and clean and we'll maintained. The staff went out of their way to be as friendly as possible. Very pleasant experience.
One of my favorite resorts! The setting is spectacular, the Top of the Rock is so delicious and to spend a day at the spa is outstanding
Habitations are good. The pool is open until ten. Nececita to have 3.5 feet To go to the slide.
Food and atmosphere that one would expect from a Marriott. But the real treat was our server Josie. She had the greatest attitude that lead to the Five star rating.
I come every year and the staff is always extremely friendly and helpful! The good and drinks are great, breakfast is priced a little steep for what's offered.
Great food, view, and service. Dinners range $20-40.
Had reservations for dinner at The Top of The Rock 5star restaurant. The experience was awesome! Our waiter was exceptional. The food was terrific.
And the view was extraordinary. The night skyline and lights of Phoenix is almost breathtaking. If you are in the Phoenix area and have the time, recommend you make an evening of it at "The Top of The Rock!"
What a nice place to stay. One will enjoy the great view
Rooms were big and very comfortable. The pool is awesome! There is always something to eat with plenty of restaurants on site.
Positives: pool area, staff very friendly & helpful, free coffee each morning, view is great, secluded from city, close to Angels stadium
Negatives: The noise from traffic starts early. Expensive to eat on site so you need to rent a car. Rooms outdated for price paid
Relaxing, great service all the way around you have to go.
This is one of the best locations for a city I have seen. The place is nothing short of amazing. The food is great, service mind blowing and can't think of anything to improve.
Had a reseevation for sunset at either a window or patio and they wanted to seat us inside. We left and never went back. Disappointed since we had friends and business partners from out of state.
Off to bad start. Rate was $40 a day higher than reservations agreed to. Front desk manager said there is nothing he can do about it. Expected more out of Marriot.
The hotel is lovely. The service is half half. Half were great. Half, not so much.
Small rooms and overpriced drinks. All of the staff except at check in was rude. Then they tried to charge a cleaning fee we had to have reversed.
Unique setting with nice views of resort. Starbucks open only until 2pm. Some of the hallways are outside so its tough with luggage. Slow elevator. Not good of you have difficulty walking around. Parking is limited and they charge you to park. Daily resort fee is outrageous.
I recently stayed at this resort on a work trip. The hotel itself I have no real issues with. However, two things stick out in my mind.
1. Is that my room was reserved and paid for by a company credit card. They needed my personal card for incidentals, which is fine. However, $831 hold on my credit card is a little ridiculous and still has not come off.
2. It is 2016, why do you have to pay $20 a day for wireless internet?
Good wifi and nice atmosphere. Foodie goodness, try the spicy calamari.
Great sunset view from the outdoor patio. Great service staff and valet parking.
Beautiful view from the lobby. Place is somewhat dated and needs an update. Have not seen the rooms so I cannot comment accordingly. There is no golf course on site so that leaves alot to be desired when planning a stay in this area. Close access to ASU, and all sporting events. I would say come for a cocktail and check out that lobby bar for sure.
Front desk was rude. Arrived just after check in time and they did not have the room I reserved and they were very rude about it. Carpet was thilthy through the resort but especially our room. Sliding glass door was broken and extremely dirty with sticky hand prints. Pools are small and crowded with kids. Front desk did not seem concerned about the complaints of cleanliness. Would not allow a later check out even though I had multiple spa treatments (so much for being a premium gold member) I would have given 1 star but the spa and other support staff excelled. Compared to other high end resorts in the area they failed miserably
February was fabulous! Not crowded, higher than normal temps, great staff. Only complaint is price of some food and adult beverages. Not bad for a resort, but more than I like to spend on food budget.
The Resort is awesome & beautiful. Pool is refreshing! Employees are amazing... Love it here! Kids love it here... We love it here.
My family and I have been staying at the resort for over 10 years and we have been pleased each time. This time was for our daughters 12th Birthday id like to thank Martin in helping us with our bags and roll away Bed what a hard worker he showed integrity and kindness. The pool was clean and the customer service was great! Thanks for making us feel at home.
Pretty mediocre rooms, with lots of walking to some of the farther rooms. Interesting location built on the butte. Nice pool for when it's warm enough.
This place is almost a fairy tale. Build into the side of a mountain and natural and beautiful as you can imagine. The staff was also great.
Beautiful location. Friendly staff. Nice big clean rooms. Not more needed in a hotel.
