My wife and I were there for our 15th wedding anniversary, and our experience started with a very cheerful greeting at the front desk by Ashley which made us feel very welcome. While checking in she congratulated us on our anniversary and gave us a very nice room with a gorgeous view. Later that day we went out to eat and when we returned to our room, Ashley had sent up a nice bottle of champagne and strawberries with chocolate sauce. What a wonderful gift. We were very surprised. Just wanted to say thanks Ashley for making our stay so special.

WOW, what a great experience! This hotel has a wonderful ambience. The sense of arrival just makes you feel like you have "arrived ". The waterfall coming out of the rocks behind the front desk is beautiful. The pool, the restaurants, the staff are all creme de la creme. The location is supreme. I highly recommend!

Felt like a desert resort, 2 beautiful pools linked by a little lazy river, great pool bar and staff, beautiful night views of city below.

My normal hotel stay turned into a vacation.
I will stay here every time from now on.

Parking is not very convenient but for a conference place it was nice. Although staff had the temp set to frozen conditions. It was super hot outside and was like stepping into a freezer for 4 hours. The buffet they set for our meeting was very good. Valet was helpful for parking but be prepared to pay $5

Exceptional service, the whole staff went above and beyond. We were treated like royalty here. The facilities are still nice and they take very good care of the place. The food was excellent, its hard to go back to fast food after staying a weekend here. My only complaint is Marriot trying to nickle and dime everything with fees, but otherwise top notch.

As someone who is in AZ almost as much as where I actually live I have driven by the prominent restaurant poking up off the 10 far too many times to finally not nose my way up and see what it's all about.

Was I surprised to find that it was a resort hiding up here, AND that it is a Marriott resort! Yippee!

My lovely wife and I decided that on my next business trip out to AZ, assuming the rate was reasonable we would book a room here. Well, bingo! Got a $114 rate via AAA and have meetings here so I booked us.

Arrival and check in was a smooth experience, no more or less than any other Marriott property. The front desk explained that there is no concierge lounge and so we were given 4 breakfast tickets for the restaurant which was unexpected and nice. We also helped ourselves to our new favorite drink "Cactus juice" YUM!

$10 parking fee is silly and unnecessary... do all the dead people take up the spots with ghost cars?

Internet would be silly if I didn't get it free... $14.95 a day? No... thank you! Free? Sure!

It was a trek to our room, the hall seemed to go on forever. Once we did open the door I was a bit bummed to see we did not get upgraded to a nicer room, however the room we were checked into was nice in the typical Marriott fashion. The amenities were fabulous, and we opted for wine and cheese as opposed to points. It was delivered quickly, graciously and was yummy.

The view out of our room was beautiful of the rocks and the grounds are really quite something to enjoy.

Overall I would come back to this resort... I am a fan.

I love this place. They are doing a bit of remodeling to the pool area, which is needed, but we were still able to enjoy all of the amenities. The pools are huge with poolside bar service. The restaurants are excellent and the staff was super friendly and helpful. Want to use the water slide? Just ask the staff and they will open it for you. Went for a walk? Staff will offer you a cold bottle of water when you return. We spent most of our free time in the pool. I would definitely stay here again!

I stayed two nights at the Buttes and it was great. From the hotel you can over see the city and it's beautiful sunsets. The room was very quiet as I couldn't hear any people in rooms next to us.

I'm local and crash the hot tubs on occasions when they're not busy. Staff appreciates the honesty and the business, and we know to leave when it's busy. Staff and guests are always friendly, drinks are amazing, and the water features and view are fantastic.

The pool and hot tubs were beautiful. The layout is sprawling with natural desert beauty. It gives guests the opportunity to spread out and find your own peace. The four hot tubs were slightly disappointing. One had the bubbles broken and a second had a heater broken. They do have a 24 hr hot tub though, which is a nice touch for late night guests. We grabbed a bite at the market place restaraunt: Buttes Burger and a Barbequestrian Sandwich and split an order of garlic fries. We got the burger medium rare and highly reccommend it. Very tasty. The garlic fries ($2 extra) were definitely worth it. The pool side bar makes it possible to spend the whole day lounging. Attendants check on you periodically to take drink overs (tasty margaritas) and you can even place an order for food. I'd like to go back and check out the little hiking trail and beach volley ball court.

Good location close to airport. Older hotel, but seemed fairly well kept. Room had a musky smell but was manageable. Enjoyed the free water bottle each day. Didn't enjoy the long walk to my room each day. Just a weird layout. Felt like a vegas hotel how far I had to walk even when inside.

Upon check in I asked the girl at front for a rollaway bed and she stated she would call and have one sent up. After waiting a while we decided to call the front desk to see what the hold up was. The lady who answered the phone was someone different than whom we originally spoke to she stated she would call and find out when they would bring. Within a couple of minutes they called us back and the lady stated I never requested one with the other girl and they would not be able to bring one up. We decided to go back to the office and speak to them because their website states they are available and there was no restrictions. The girl who checked us ended up
Coming out after we speaking to the other lady and had a very rude deamenor with us. The other lady stated we will request the camera footage which would be fabulous if they do because I do. Not appreciate being called a liar. This place has poor customer service and to top it off they have cockroaches everywhere outside. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Came to a wedding. The staircase downstairs was busy with the bride maids posing for pictures. So i found my way to the elevator to get downstairs to where the wedding reception was being held. It was nice and roomy. Bathroom was clean and enjoyed the cash bar. Sad that they ran out of wine. Valet was very nice and a sweetheart, when i left something in the car, he went and got it out for me. And when i needed to leave he was very courteous and urgent.

Beautiful property. The rooms could use some updating. Would prefer additional curtains to block light instead of only shutters. Mine didn't close all the way so it didn't feel private. My only other complaint is that you have to either walk all the way to the restaurants/lobby/breakfast market or get valet to park your car which means tipping. It's inconvenient not to be able to park yourself up front. The breakfast buffet was great.

I like this hotel it's built into the surrounding Hill and rock so it's teared and it's just not a regular hotel. The bar had great food and I had a carinae assada burrito, Which was great over all the staff was very attentive and help me check in early and check out Lake without any hassles.

I was there for a training session at work so cannot speak to the rooms and such accomodations, but in all other regards this is great facility. It is conveniently located near the airport but has a very unique and scenic location so much so that commented on it numerous times throughout the day. The staff was exceptional. There were a number of things that they did to make our session run more smoothly which was definitely not required. If I ever go back to this area, this will definitely be where I stay.

BEAUTIFUL property with great views, many hot tubs, pools and extremely friendly staff! The valet guy, Steve(i think that was his name) was SO helpful and nice. Probably one of the nicest staff members I've ever encountered at any hotel before! I can't wait to go back and stay! The rooms could use updating but the staff and property really make it a 5 star!

Unique structure. Very clean, helpful staff, comfortable bed beautiful views. Breakfast buffet was awesome for free and the waitresses were the best!!! I would stay again. Quite spendie though considering. I expected a great deal more for the price.

Fun!

Horrible experience! Filthy and housekeeping stole two of my necklaces and they wouldn't clean our room. The air conditioning unit did not work and when they finally fixed it it would leak on my head everytime I was in the bathroom doing my hair. I had to stuff a wash cloth in the unit so it would not leak on the floor. They charge a bunch of hidden fees and goodluck trying to get a hold of the front desk. When you do finally get through, you talk to a woman that is already irritated at anything you have to say. If we weren't so tired from driving from Michigan to arizonia we would have left right away. Thank God we weren't staying in the hotel much of the day. Be prepared to be woken up at 3:00am by people in the hallway yelling. Save your money and don't be fooled by the pleasant view on the outside.

This is a really nice place. Prices are great in the summer. Rooms are clean.

Room service is pricey, moreso than most places.

Pool and hot tubs are nice and there are nice views.

Place is pretty quiet, but I was there in the summer when it was 120 degrees, so the quiet may not be the norm.

Biggest complaint...NO FREE WIFI. Seriously, charging 18 a day for wifi is kind of ridiculous.

The hotel is located on top of a rich essentially. Great views of the city. Close to the airport but far enough away to avoid airplane noise. The hotel overlooks a major freeway and you can hear freeway noise. That isn't great. But the staff is very friendly. Rooms are comfortable. And the restaurant is great.

Stayed here for the weekend for my wedding anniversary went to the pool/bar for cocktails and their staff lost my husband's credit card!! My husband left several messages throughout the week for management and never got a phone call back. They could've at least apologize for loosing it we would have understood their honesty but they didn't it was so disappointing. Luckily we had some cash and was able to enjoy a somewhat decent dinner somewhere.

ROACHES IN OUR ROOM!!! I ve stayed at this hotel a few times several years ago. This was the first time I stayed in the south building. As soon as we walked in the hallway, it reeked of mildew and old smoke! The hallways looked dingy and dated. Our room was just as bad! There were two roaches within the first hour. Since we had five other people staying with us next door, we decided to tough it out instead of making a fuss over it. The smell in the room was horrific. At about midnight we got up from the bed and found two huge roaches cruising around! Not only could I not sleep because I was freaked out about the roaches... the noise coming from the freeways was so loud in the room! Terrible experience. This resort needs to seriously renovate their disgusting, dated, smelly, roach infested rooms.
