The staff and event space was nice. Beautiful resort and view.
I think being charged to park after paying for a room is too much. I feel that or was pricey for what it was.
Beer bottle on patio from former guest not thrown away. Casual dinning option was closed had to order in the bar.
WARNING: DO NOT STAY HERE!! Hotel is in bad shape! Dark and musty hallways lead you to a gross and outdated room. We had 2 rooms for our stay and both had dirty carpets, mold on the walls in the bathroom and a strong smell of mold in the room. The food services are mediocre, serving undercooked steaks and poor sides. Not to mention, they are not offering room service right now due to COVID, so you have to drive or walk to the restaurant. General Manager has little sympathy or compassion to help. Won t ever come back!
The restaurant an the hotel has really huge rats an they're chef treats there employee's terrible like your not even chef Ramsey how do you have the nerve my money will never be spent they're ever again
Newly remodeled. Room, gym and pool on point! Stay here if your ever in the area!
It's a very nice hotel with a great pool and location. But they nickel and dime you. WiFi is $13 per day, parking is $15, breakfast is very expensive. There is no place to get a snack, only the sit down restaurant and it is slow and very expensive. This is in Tempe, Ariz., not New York, Boston or Los Angeles. Most Marriotts give free internet access. The $13 a day is outrageous and slow. You can get faster wifi for $15. I already feel I'm paying enough. There is no where to get coffee except at the bar or a stand that sells Starbucks. Again, most Marriotts and good hotels provide complementary coffee. We own four Marriott timeshares and stay in Marriotts all over the world. I just feel like some things like coffee, internet and parking should be complimentary to their patrons and even those who are only staying here once.
Good for family stays or romance. Awesome pool and views. The staff seems a bit unseasoned although they do put in sufficient effort.
Very fun swimimg and naturistic waterfalls. Reasonably priced and the kids also loved it.
Lovely setting and amazing views. Nice walks if you get up early before the heat.
Front desk service is impeccable. Room was easy to find and was very nice. Will stay here again.
One of the valley's beautiful hotels. Always enjoy attending conferences at this hotel.
I didn't stay at the hotel but it's a beautiful spot.
Nice property, great location for my needs, but really needs updates to the rooms and common areas. They charge a daily resort fee on top of the room rate, which would be acceptable if the rooms had been updated and it wasn't a 10 minute walk with luggage from the lobby to your room.
The hotel was very nice and posh but the WiFi kept going down for our event and they could not support the bandwidth our team needed to effectively do our collaboration events.
Nice hotel resort but be careful in the restaurant. Watch for non-explained additions to your bill. But restaurant not owned by Marriott.
Overpriced hotel! No directions given for new guest of where to park to check in. I only a saw sign for valet parking so ended up had to look around for an open parking spot behind the hotel. Then found out that there's a parking fee.
The room looks dated. The ceiling was very low.The A/C was not even turn on by the time I got to the room and it took awhile for it to cool the room. No microwave in the room, but there's one in the vending room. No curtains in the room either so I had trouble falling back to sleep when the light was out.
Nice place amazing views and pools. Restuarants are pretty good. The rooms are needing some renovations to update them a little but still not bad. Overall good.
Attended The Marriott for a wedding. The venue was gorgeous. The restaurant seating area was amazing and the staff was incredible.
Beautiful accommodations. Excellent pool service. Clean & spacious rooms. Delicious breakfast. This was a wonderful staycation!
Really a big fan of this place. I have stayed several times now and choose it every time I am in the area. Great-great-great curb appeal and location at the top of the mountain. Amazing views. Nice, spacious rooms. Very friendly and professional service. Decent-to-good dining options in the main building, and a very strong upscale restaurant on-property. Looking forward to coming back.
The rooms are really nice and spacious. Did their 25 minute massage and it was amazing the best way to start a relaxing weekend. Pools are nice for this summer heat we are having.
Casey is the sweetest! Great service, great food / bar /and live music if you come on the right day
Been going here for the better part of 20 years or so. I love this resort. Great staff. Nice amenities. Good rooms. Nice pools. Great atmosphere.
No complaints at all. Gorgeous pools, poolside yoga, attentive bar staff, reasonable prices, and nice spacious rooms.
Rooms were nice about 10 or 15 years ago. Place says nice grounds but I don't understand why they haven't upgraded anyting in such a long time. Has a nice restaurant call top of the Rock. Pool and hot tubs are nice for kids and adults. With some remodels this place could be nice. Not suprised by other reviews saying not clean and outdated been like this for a while.
Went for dinner with a co-worker. The food was amazing and the view from the restaurant was even more impressive.
I wish they would allow use of the pool/spa during after hours. They seem to be quick to kick people out
Nice laid-back resort atmosphere with amazing pool, multiple hot tuds in mountain sitting and waterfalls through out.
One of our Fav Phoenix resorts. Great pools, good food and fun times! There are multiple hot tubs and a waterside.
The pool area was amazing. A little disappointed that the slide was closed. Overall great hotel!
Really nice place. The grounds are great, but the rooms are a bit dated. Very clean but need an update. The Windows need to be replaced unless you like hearing freeway traffic all night long. Everything else is really nice.
This is a beautiful area to have a resort, unfortunately this resort misses on so many levels. Upon walking in, you would think you're entering a 5 star resort but then reality hits. From the poorly laid out hallways that involve extraordinary long walks to the overall condition of the resort itself. This is a 2.7 star resort at best.
I did stay here with my Family, over 10 Years ago for 10 days. When this woos a Wyndham Hotel It woos so very nice of Hotel back then, I would love to visit soon.
Sunday Brunch at the top of the Buttes the best. Loved the Pool as well.
Great stay recently. Server named Kelly really went above and beyond in breakfast and lunch service.
Very chill and quiet spot, great for dates. The drinks were very good.
Good Nachos prices are high but it is a very nice resort style hotel.
Staff was great, pool is great, rooms are decent. Just not quite 5 stars because the place is starting to show age. They also seem to let locals in on the weekends so the pool gets absolutely packed with people that have nothing better to do than crash a hotel pool, most of them are really trashy. Saw a woman breastfeeding standing up on the edge of the pool with her bikini top pulled down. Nothing wrong with breastfeeding, I just think there s a bit of class that could come with it.
Resort is somewhat outdated. Staff is friendly and helpful. Food is good.
We ate at Top of the Rock. The food was great and our server was attentive. The only issue was we wanted to sit out on the patio but they only have three heaters and did have one available for our table.
The general stuff, as in the rooms, pool service, room service, and cleanliness was great. Only thing I can comment on was the food in the Top of the Rock restaurant, which was sub-par, and another person in my group got a very red steak when she requested no red. Great staff and everything else, though!
Awsome rooms, great pool with bar. Only thing is pool closed too early for a Saturday.
Beautiful location, rooms are nice, not brand new but definitely nice. Staff is extremely friendly. Food is definitely pricey but overall this is an amazing hotel to stay in while in Phoenix.
Barry is great, friendly, personable & handles any problems exceptionally well
Not worth the money. Found three cockroaches in our room. Trash that we placed outside our room stayed there for 12 hours. Property is nice but the pools were busy with people.
Rooms might be ok, but seemed as busy as a cruise ship. Not really your hotel vibe. Has a few restaurants and stores and a maze to get to them... a little much for me.
Unique setup friendly staff. Disappointed the pool closed at 10.
Good rooms, good location, fun pool, great views, and nice staff.
Absolutely beautiful establishment. Loved it. The staff was excellent and the view of the city is remarkable.
Nice Hotel, nice rooms and nice resort. Hard to believe with the price I paid, that I also have to pay $10 for parking and another $14 for internet access.
Wonderful hotel with an amazing pool and beautiful views
Hands down one of the best resorts in PHX. Great restaurant amazing pool and hot tubs on the mountain. What else could be more romantic.
Great view. Food was ok. Good but felt like it could have been better for the price. Service was slow but it was a Saturday night and even without us asking, they acknowledged that they were running behind and gave us 25% off our check.
Hotel is beautiful, staff is super friendly, the view is great. 2 restaurants on site also helps. Wish I could have stayed longer!
I made reservations early on a friday so that a friend coming up from tucson and I could enjoy a beautiful evening with her at the resort. I Paid in advance at noon but didn't arrive until 7pm. When I arrived I was informed that my credit card would be charged $50 for incidentals on top of the room fee that has already been charged. They said that I could use $100 cash. Which I was all for untill they said that it would be mailed to me in a check. The manager offered no relief, he didn't even seem to care that my night was ruined. And a $10 fee to park.
Pros: Comfortable rooms, good food, and great staff!
Cons: Age is starting to show and walls are thin.
Nice large rooms. Close to airport. Good as destination hotel be cause of large number and variety of on-site services. Room rates vary as much as 100% within any week because of conferences. My recent 4 night stay averaged $360 a night versus $165 a night 2 weeks ago. Food is only average but priced $$$
Only reason it's not 5 star rating is that some areas of the resort are in dire need of restoration ... Wood floors in the dining room is an example. Two employees to cite as examples of excellent customer service: Our Bellman, Tom and our waiter for dinner, Andrew. Both did an exemplary job. Thank You for excellent customer service.
