Lovely location, great facilities, kind, super service!
Absolutely horrible place to stay! Not worth the cost at all. Small rooms and horrible staff! The manager will treat you with no respect. One of their employees messed up during our registration and instead of helping accommodate us she treated us like it was our fault and attempted to charge us more money and said it all with a disgusting attitude. The staff should work in a different field because people skills are definitely lacking at the Marriott Butte's!!!
Realllllly nice place in a great location close to ASU
The hotel was a bit old but the service was nice and the ladies at the spa are amazing.
Sprawling resort built on the side of a hill. With rooms and facilities spread out over multiple elevations, it s tedious to get around. Having said that, it is pretty and the surrounding views are beautiful. The staff are very helpful and the bars are excellent. Only used the dining for breakfast and it was very satisfying.
Went to spring training game and used parking facilities. Used shuttle service was great
There are lots of great things about this hotel, but there were quite a few things that were a miss. Pros: The pool is awesome, lots of sitting areas and staff walks around asking if you want to order drinks. The way the hotel is built into the rocks is pretty cool. Water & Coffee free daily which is super nice. Cons: The rooms are smelly/musty. There was a nail or something sticking out from the carpet in my room, found out when i stepped on it, the food is very expensive, the lobby staff is slow, WIFI is NOT free even if you're at a conference.
Excellent service !!!!!!!! What a wonderful place my husband and I decided to book an entire weekend for our wedding anniversary!!! It was the best experience at a hotel the service the views the food, pools, bar.. They were so attentive they made our stayed so special we would go back in a heart beat! The room was so cleaned and we'll stock refrigerator coffe maker room service is great !!! Don't look anymore and book this place !!!
Resort is fine - top of the rock restaurant was amazing
I very much enjoyed my stay here, all of the staff (everyone I encountered) was extremely friendly. The pool area was nice. Had dinner at Top of the Rock excellent food, you have to try the chicken and donuts!
The Buttes if Tempe..wow!! Beautiful and Ellegant. Spa..pool..sports.. dining and activities all in one place.
interesting/unique location, clean rooms but there was large bug crawling on ceiling, superb customer service
Hotel is located on a beautiful property near the airport. Great pools and nice restaurants/bar. The rooms are pretty average. The second night of my stay and the next morning there was no hot water in the shower. Luckily it's very hot in Tempe!
Beautiful resort. They offer guided hikes every weekday morning and sunrise yoga on the weekends. I unfortunately didn't get to take advantage of the spa, but it offered standard options like manicures, pedicures, massages, and energy work. The fitness center was well equpiied with 4 treadmills, a pair of ellipticals, dumbbells up to 50 lbs, and a few weight machines. The lobby lounge was busy every night and could have been bigger based on the size of the resort and the food and drink options in the evening. However, the service was attentive, and the food and drinks went down smooth. I also really like that Marriott allows you to forgo daily housekeeping in exchange for bonus rewards points, and this property offers 500 points per night.
Stayed here before I moved to AZ. The rooms are more outdated then I have experienced at other Marriott locations. Overall it was a decent choice but I would not consider it a luxury resort. The location is centralish to tempe and downtown but you are not located that close to anything in particular. There is a great view from the restaurant but don't expect your rooms to have any of the same views.
GOOD SERVICE THE CONGRATULATIONS CONTINUE = DO NOT CHANGE & IT IS NOT MUCH THE DIFFERENCE $ IN THE OTHER HOTELS AVECES LET THEMSELVES BE CARRIED AND THINK ONE WHO IS CALO BUT IN QUALITY NO AND ARE + AGREEMENT FOR THE FAMILY I RECOMMEND THEM
Scenic view and great stuff. Although their conference rooms are tiny with low ceilings
The conference room was really nice. I enjoyed the meeting I attended there.
Gorgeous hotel for a quick weekend getaway. They have 2 pools and a water slide for the kids. Poolside service for the adults and lots of pool activities throughout the day for the kids to participate in. For example they had a "fish toss". If you got 100 points (200 for adults) you got a coupon for a free smoothie (alcoholic drink for the adults). Let's just say that was a bigger hit with the adults than with some of the kids LOL
I was at the Buttes for a wedding rehearsal dinner. It's a beautiful location, and the food was excellent. It was a large party of 30, and dinner took about an hour to come out, which was disappointing.
Fellow patron vomited on the floor several times. Had to ask to be moved. Took 2 hours to get our food and nothing was comped. Pretty disappointing night.
Great place! The staff were incredibly polite and professional!! Loved it!
Beautiful views of the surrounding area from the patio outside. Service was great. Staff was attentive and friendly.
The views are astonishing. We had a private business celebration and their facilities are superb!
Staff were absolutely amazing! Amenities and restaurants are also top notch. Only negatives are WiFi wasn't free and the bed was ridiculously hard/stiff.
Luxury resort that is a wonderful place to chill out and enjoy phoenix!
Nice place. Great views overlooking the east valley. Priced high. $$$$
Was there for a wedding. The hotel has a confusing layout but eventually got used to it. I liked that they had coffee out in the morning around the hotel. Room was nice and clean.
Hotel service a d staff were outstanding. Room was impeccable. We loved the pool and amazing views.
Our staycation was exactly what we wanted...most comfy rest, friendliest faces. Check in to (we didn't wanna leave)...some folks made this average stay most personal. Thank you Dan and Eric for your ear and expert service that made our pool experience world class!! Look, man, you can go places....or you can BE places.
Such a beautiful hotel! It was decorated for Christmas and looked amazing. All staff were nice and very helpful. I was at a Christmas party and the event was flawless!
Beautiful views. Large, family friendly pool area. Nice staff
This was the best hotel I have ever stayed at. We will be coming back here for more mini get aways from Tucson.
I like it here because there is 6 different floors and it has a slide
OMG!!! I LOVE LOVE this hotel quite and awesome views..
Market cafe is a great spot for breakfast. It's a very scenic location
Girls weekend...it was a blast! Very nice hotel and great pools and poolside bar/service.
We booked our room fairly last minute for a trip to Spring Training...many places were sold out...I found The Buttes and booked...it looked too good to be true and I was very worried as to what we might arrive to. I can say that every employee we spoke to was very nice, polite and went out of there way to help in anyway they could. The rooms are nice, only issue was that they were two doubled beds, instead of queen size. They do state they are doubles, I just wish they were queen as it was very difficult for two full size adults to sleep in a double bed and get a good nights rest. The pools are amazing, there are 3 hot tubs and a pool bar...the staff yet again are the best ever. The breakfast buffet has an omelet station and a waffle bar along with oatmeal, bacon, sausage, muffins, fruit and so much more. We will be returning and staying her next year for sure. I highly recommend!
Very nice love the location excellent service would visit again
Excellent hotel in a great location. Very unique and well cared for grounds.
It's a nice place, but the air conditioning unit in our room was so loud I was woken up several times throughout the night.
We went to eat at the Top of the Rock restaurant. I had the prime rib(16oz), and it was melt-in-your-mouth amazing. Their margaritas are also very top notch. I would recommend!
Don't waste your time or money ,the photos will fool you !My husband booked this hotel for our anniversary weekend , we are going to see Tool ! Our room was small and unimpressive with a close-up and personal view of a tree and the sweet sound of the highway. If you do decide you HAVE to go to this hotel , make sure you are not in the room next to 'the chairmans suite' it has a PIANO in it , and our neighbors chose to play it , loudly , two mornings in a row at about 6am ( we checked out our 3rd night). The management felt this was acceptable , given that the room had a piano!!so did their corporate office .I assume from this ,that we lesser mortals , who pay the bulk of their wages ,don't count ?
Our room service food , was cold , there was no way it could have been hot , as our room was so far from the main part of the hotel . When we complained they sent us an undrinkable bottle of wine , as an anniversary gift from the management !!!!
JUST , DON'T GO AND TELL YOUR FRIENDS NOT TO GO .
I like the Hotel and the on site experiences but what still really bothers me after my stay is that I paid extra and requested top floor in my reservation with a view and I got there to have a view of a rock! Secondly I got locked in the bathroom because the lock malfunctioned and I did call that in because that was pretty scary not gonna lie, I'm glad my bf was there to help free me or who knows how long I would have been stuck locked in a 4x4 sqft room after taking a hot steamy shower but I am more upset about the view I wanted or expected as I paid for it. But other than that very clean, great amazing staff! Amazing amenities and why I am rating a 3. I just do not feel I got what I paid for.
Went there for a business meeting. The area was nice and the meeting hall was sufficient.
Each time I go here for lunch the menu items get less and less. That is less options to chose from making the menu smaller and smaller.
Great location, great views, great service and outstanding amenities!
Great food, very attentive staff, good place for a large conference
The resort was beautiful. The rooms were clean and comfortable.
Beautiful view lots to do . Awesome pool and amenities
the pools here are amazing..and the outdoor grassy areas are fun to play around in
Love this hotel. Very unique architecture built into the desert rock.
Great ***/3: "Very clean-nice room"
Restaurant was pretty pricy $$$$/4
Poor service and a huge hassle just to get in a room. Definitely will not be staying here again.
Ate at Top of Rock restaurant, great food and service. Did not stay at hotel.
Not sure why there is so many negative posts here. From the time we drove up to the front doors until the time we left, it was a great experience. All staff very friendly and polite. Grounds were beautiful and well kept. Room was great, clean, and the resort view was what we were expecting. We will be back!
We had a great time! Very romantic. Amazing views. Pool/jacuzzis/water slide really cool!
This place was amazing, It's an Oasis in the desert. I never knew this place existed it's a must stay cation if you live in Arizona. The pool is beautiful the rooms are nice hide away Jacuzzi's on the mountain. This place has a small resort fee.
Odd placement of rooms, elevators, and confusing layout, but nice atmosphere.
Excellent Marriott property. Funky, fun, relaxing atmosphere. Good customer service. Will be back.
Such an eclectic, unique hotel w several intimate surprises. It s definitely showing it s age, but the rooms have been updated nicely. The staff that I encountered provided resort quality service that was a pleasant surprise given the lack of hospitality u frequently encounter at similar priced locales. Explore the nooks around the pools, and the many look out points...and definitely check out the restaurant and lounge...a one of a kind space.
