Haven't eaten there yet, but had a reservation for my wife and I. May cancel now, they called to verify my number and apparently if you tell them you are not a female they hang up on you when they call you. Sorry if my name offends you and I'm not female.

Beautiful historic hotel, very retro floors and rooms. Well kept and has great staff. Breakfast at the hotel restaurant was lovely but expensive and we could not get into Sunday brunch even with 3 days notice. Brunch is epic and legendary at this hotel so if you come to stay, book well in advance!

Such a beautiful hotel. Tea service is a must. Had dinner in several if the restaurants, thoroughly enjoyed them all. Finished off our first night in the cigar bar with drinks and had a lovely time and meet some very interesting folks. Even enjoyed the spa services (massage!) . Can't wait to go back.

Super cool hotel! The oldest in Denver which really neat decor and architecture from the late 1800s. The room had granite floors and counters and a nice shower with an overhead and angled shower heads. Lots of history about this hotel - go read on wikipedia about the celebrities and presidents who have stayed. Service was also really good - they gave my girlfriend a glass of champagne at check-in

What a beautiful place! My wife, daughter and I stayed a night and the service was excellent. The piano player in the lobby even played a fancy version of "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" for my toddler daughter when I walked into the atrium with her. Thanks for making it a special stay!

Afternoon Tea at The Brown Palace is a bucket list item that's worth the effort. 4 stars because $40/person for tea is a little expensive, but for the experience, priceless. I found parking online, paid and printed a permit and then departed for our first holiday event of the season. We enjoyed a relaxing afternoon, sipping tea, eating scones, delicious egg salad sandwiches and decadent desserts while listening to a wonderful pianist play Christmas carols. The visit inspired me to learn more about the early days of Denver when the Brown Palace was built, fascinating!

Guest service is fantastic. The rooms are very nice with excellent matresses, linens and pillows. The hotel restaurants are also very nice, and fairly expensive. Would love to go back for the spa.

Fabulous historic building I have been staying at for 60 years. A bit run down around the edges but the large rooms and corner suites are a nice break from the modern honeycombs. If your not a member of Marriott then the chain treats you as a second class citizen. Still changing you for wifi is really counterproductive in this era.

Amazing experience. Hotel is wonderful and clean. No issues at check-in; staff (including the valet) were professional and nice. There is no onsite parking without the valet, which costs $50 per day for overnight parking. There are 3 restaurants within the hotel, a pub, an elegant upscale steak place, and a cigar bar. The pub food was good and there was a good selection of beer on tap. The cigar bar had a wide range of cigars (from mild to full) and the staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. Breakfast was excellent.

The Brown is upscale and located within walking distance of the 16th Street Mall and other Denver attractions. The rooms and food is pricey, but good and offers an amazing ambiance to the stay. I would absolutely recommend staying here, as long as you have the disposable income to do so. It is great for a one night getaway.

The Brown palace is a great stay for it's history. But if your looking for something a little more modern then this is not the place for you. Although, the cigar bar and other amedeties are a great place to impress clients.

Hotel is amazing to witness. Lobster roll in ships tavern not to die for. Most avacados were black. Have pride as chefs please. On the other hand trout fish and chips was fabulous way too go on that

We had a great stay. The front desk was very helpful, friendly, and professional. The historic lobby is a real treat to see and enjoy. They have classic piano playing in the late afternoon for the high tea. Just a refreshing blast from the past. The rooms are fine. They have a nice Keurig and assortment of pods. A nice alarm clock with USB charging ports. The bathroom amenities and towels are exceptional! They have their own bath products made with honey from the bees on the roof of the building. The products are my most favorite hotel products yet. Smell great and work great. Great size bath soap and face soap. The bath towels are big and super soft. Wonderful soft bath mats and robes as well. Ellyngton's, which is where you go for breakfast in the hotel, serves delicious food, but not a great place if you're in a hurry.

Next month we will be having the traditional annual Red Cross certifications in CPR please do not get it confused with Colorado Public Radio. When the truth fun facts about this building that every president of the United States of America has one time spent the night in this establishment including myself very friendly staff very elegant food what she would expect for presidential treatment.

Great mimosas, breakfast, and not to mention service. From the charming host, to our attentive server. I must admit, though I enjoyed my entire meal, the real stand out was the rye toast I had. All of their bread is made in-house daily, and then generously buttered, it may have been the best rye I've EVER had. My boyfriend and I will definitely be back, next time we are in the Denver area!

Luxurious bedding, beautiful hotel, first class service, excellent spa services, excellent breakfast in a formal dining room. Every experience I had was special. I want to back to enjoy the tea.

We had drinks in the tavern then tea in the lobby. Both were lovely, but a bit overpriced, in my opinion. A good experience overall, though, and I would recommend it as a special event.

This place is MAGIC! My husband an I are here for Christmas, and it is just what we wanted for a home away from home for the holidays. It is beautifully decorated, the staff is so gracious. We are very happy and blessed to be here

Attended Easter brunch with some friends. Absolutely loved the layout, the live music, the impromptu dancing, and the wonderful atmosphere. Ordered the iced hibiscus tea, but hot, and it was delightfully sweet. Was disappointed with the food a little bit. I can't digest heavy dairy and they brought me out a special plate of the standard afternoon tea, just with add little dairy as possible in all of them. It was incredibly delicious, but that was it. When I was asked if I wished to have more, I was excited to get another small plate, but got far less that what had initially come out. Was a bit disappointing, but won't stop me from coming back again. The scones were wonderful, though filled with dairy.

Really fancy hotel. We stayed after a wedding and it was very nice. I would have liked to stay longer. The staff was super friendly and professional. I'd like to go back and explore Denver and be able to come back here at night.

The staff and building are there for the guests' enjoyment and I felt that at every moment of our stay. The building itself is stunning in its beauty and its aroma; an aroma earned from over 125 years of fine food and drink, leather, fine cigars and honey. My wife described this as a masculine smell; not sweet, but of substance, evident throughout the lobby, the atrium, everywhere, and it was delightful. Allow yourself time to appreciate the craftsmanship of this work of art. Do yourself a favor and read the history of this property before your visit so that you can appreciate it in context. It is a marvel in its architecture and construction, beautifully built before today's waistlines. So if you find a comfortable queen bed or the spotless bathroom too small, it's not on them. Plenty of electical outlets and USB ports are available on the sides of the nightstands. WiFi is available for a fee. Built before parking garages existed in what is now a busy downtown, if you are driving to the hotel, be prepared to pay for parking in a nearby parking garage and walk a couple blocks, or pay about $50 a day for valet service. There are two entrances to this triangular masterpiece, but use the one on Tremont street, which is best for loading and unloading. The 17th street entrance is fine on foot, but not in a vehicle. The breakfast at Ellyngton's is masterfully prepared. Have them add a short stack of pancakes to your breakfast and thank me after you have tasted them. If you can get a seat in the Churchhill Bar (some are reserved), enjoy a glass and a good cigar.

We come here at least once per year. My kiddos participate in the Westside Cotillion. And they host their weekly sessions at the Brown Palace Hotel.

I like the historic ambiance.

But not too crazy about the hotel allowing people to smoke cigars in the building.

We loved our experience staying at the Brown Palace. Our room on the sixth floor was great. We also enjoyed the frequent live music from the lobby level that filled the halls. Probably our favorite part, however, would be the Sunday buffet. We did the buffet with champagne and loved it all. Our waiter, Ed, was great and the food was amazing! Will do this again.

Classic, and Class! Actually there isn t any other hotel in Denver that I would rather stay. But I have a lot of emotional attachment to The Brown. If you don t stay here for its world class experience for old downtown Denver, at least pop in and look at its beauty. The pioneers built this beauty. The Restaurants are all on their game was well, and immersed in history. Trust me on this!

I absolutely loved this hotel. I've stayed at several historic properties in the midwest and the northeast, but the Brown Palace might be my favorite overall to date. Somehow everything from the elevator to the water fountain to the restaurants or service desks are beautifully timeless yet take you back in time to a very impressive and stunning era. Our standard room and bathroom were extremely spacious and beautiful although we didn't splurge on an upgrade. The hotel's downtown location is extremely convenient for a variety of interests (sight seeing, restaurants, retail), and the staff (front desk, valet, room service, bellman) was really awesome. I highly recommend the Brown Palace. I would give it SIX STARS if I could. Oh, and it also has afternoon tea service and an awesome pub called the Ship Tavern.

If you're just staying overnight, it's probably not worth the expense. Definitely come with plans to take advantage of the high tea, AMAZING brunch at Ellington's, and/or the spa, but as an overnight, you might as well go elsewhere and save the money. Rooms were clean and comfortable, but again, not worth paying such an expense for.
