This is a very old hotel that in many ways is pretty cool. They have a love band in the lobby and a piano player most evenings. If you like boutique hotel you will love this hotel. If you are a business traveler this hotel may not be your kind of place. Location is great. A very quick walk to 16th st which is nice. Customer service is great. Mark at the front desk went out of his way to help. I appreciate old architecture but I'm more of a modern updated hotel business traveler.

Rooms are clean.

Rooms are clean.

Bill was inaccurate and have called and left messages the last week for the AR department, the finance manager, the on staff manager - none of whom have returned my call. I had Marriott Customer Care try yesterday as well and they had no luck. I was on hold with them for 40 minutes and they never got through. Would never recommend this hotel to anyone given the lack of accurate billing and unresponsive staff.

Two poor experiences, I ll never stay here again or recommend this hotel to anyone.

My wife and I were gifted with a night to The Brown Palace by our kids and it was awesome! The ambiance is truly old world and was so charming. We went on a weekend and the live music (mostly incredible jazz) that floated thru the whole hotel was fantastic. I was very impressed with the incredible acoustics, admittedly being a bit of an audiophile. Even if you are not staying, you should go check out the one music and enjoy a beverage some weekend night.

The room was truly beautiful. My only complaint would be that I really love a softer bed... After a night there, my back was pretty sore but it was rather worth it. We would love to go back.

Had tea at The Brown Palace. The atmosphere was stunning and the staff extremely pleasant. The tea was delicious--especially "Black Currant". Four stars out of five because of the vegan option. I appreciated the veggies and hummus, but it was difficult to eat and felt out-of-place in the environment.

This property is a representation of what Denver is all about. The traditions executed here are warming and bring you back in time. It s beautiful and the staff throughout this property are dedicated and strive to give the guest an experience to remember. This is a must stop while traveling in the area! Thank you Brown Palace team for welcoming me to Denver and for all that you do.

Until we meet again!

The building is beautiful and the bedroom was gorgeous besides a bathroom door that did not close properly. The problems arose when concierge was off putting during our 3 different interactions with him. It left my SO and her mother feeling pissed off while we waited for the black car on our way to enjoy the town. Maybe weekday staffing is better, but if you're looking for a high end experience you are better off looking elsewhere.

My husband and I went to the Palace Arms Restaurant and celebrated our 20 year anniversary. Lovely place however the manager was very rude how he handled us. My husband wanted a song played for our anniversary so I played on my cell phone he came to us twice and told me to turn down the phone and I asked if someone was complaining and he said yes he was. He ruined our whole evening and he did end up paying for our dinner but by then he had made the situation bad. We used to celebrate our anniversary there every year plus other occasions but that will probably be the last time we go there. He needs a lesson in customer service.

My Husband and I stayed at The Brown Palace for the night of our honeymoon. It was such an amazing experience from the beginning to the end. The valet parking was very convenient since we had a car load of stuff. The room was AMAZING! I felt like I was in a movie! They upgraded our room from the one we had reserved when we called because we were on our honeymoon. When we got room service they brought it in on a cart and the food was covered with silver bowls just like you see in the movies. The service was great and the food as well! The next morning we got ready to check out and had about a half hour to spare and we wanted to take a tour around the hotel. When we went down to the lobby we talked with Christine and told her we wanted to look around the hotel but weren't sure we would have time. She moved our check out time for a half hour later with no additional charge. The beauty and history of the Brown Palace is so amazing. I have to mention as well that we had tipped Christine when we were leaving, and a few hours later we got a call from her to let us know that when we had tipped her we accidentally put $100 bill with her tip. We did not mean to do that and we were so grateful that she called and told us. She could have just kept the money but she mailed it to us. It is not often that you see such honesty these days. Thank you to the staff for making our honeymoon so wonderful, we are definitely planning on returning!

We really enjoyed our stay here. Our suite was very nice, well appointed, and clean.

Be aware that the main atrium space is used for high tea / cocktails, so there are few places to just sit and lounge.

Took a star off for poor communication surrounding the "Escape Spa Package" that we selected when booking. Apparently there are terms and conditions that were not explained when I booked. The front desk amended the situation to my satisfaction, but the Marriott booking site needs to clarify any additional terms.

Glamorous and elegant. Great service for BonVoy customers (double points and a welcome gift just because). Gorgeous room with a good bathroom, fridge, iron and toiletries. Quiet rooms but the layout means a lot of passing by other rooms and noise travels. You can also hear the freight trains at night. My only other complaints are the bath robe was scratchy and my towels kept falling off the hooks!

It was serendipitous that we ended up at the Brown Palace for our 25th wedding anniversary. We stayed for 5 days during the holiday season and the decorations above the Tea area alone were worth it.
Our room was comfortable, fairly roomy and clean. The bathroom was old fashioned in the sense you have to step up to get into it...old school for sure.
The location is excellent, very central. We were able to get everywhere quickly.

My fiance and I were here for a professional event. We were absolutely STUNNED by the place. Absolute luxury with an old time flare. Like being put back in time, prepare yourself for a great experience. I heard bad things about the ninth floor, but we stayed on the 3rd and had a wonderful time!

A historic beauty!! The beautiful architecture, historical significance, and the amazing atrium are something to behold. The modern amenities coupled with authentic true to the time period fixtures was a lovely touch. The hotel and all of it's facilities were extremely well kept. The staff were friendly, helpful, and so very attentive to the needs of guests. On my last afternoon at the hotel, I accidentally left my coat in the lobby. My husband and I were just about 10 minutes away from the airport when I realized. We contacted the hotel front desk and informed them about my coat. The staff immediately looked for, and found my coat! They promptly contacted my husband to let him know, and collected our shipping information. My coat was shipped priority mail, and I received it in 3 days! Mind you, I was visiting from Michigan! What an awesome staff and hotel! Whenever we visit Denver again, we know where we'll be staying! Keep up that exceptional service, you're awesome!! *D. Kearney*

The Brown Palace is a historical building located off of 17th Street in downtown Denver. The hotel is classy and decorated to have a Victorian feel. Very good meals can be had at The Palace Arms restaurant, however this is a higher end restaurant and be prepared for a higher expense too. If you're more interested in casual fair then hit up The Ship's Tavern

I took my young son to afternoon tea in the atrium at the Brown Palace, and it was wonderful! We arrived about 5 minutes before our reserved time (on a weekday afternoon during Spring Break) and were seated immediately. They had a nice selection of teas. I had the Palace Grey, which was delicious! My son had the Crimson Hibiscus Berry, which he loved and was caffeine free. A lady came by after we got our food and refilled our pots with piping hot water, so we had plenty to drink. Our three tiers of food were so yummy! I loved the cranberry almond scones with the amazing Devonshire cream and strawberry preserves. We had three kinds of sandwiches, and our server brought the second plate of them at just the right time. There were four different desserts that were all tasty. Our seats were comfortable, and a pianist played soothing background music the whole time. Our server was attentive but not hovering. We didn't feel rushed at all, and the atmosphere was relaxed and relatively quiet for all the people there. When the food came out, it didn't look like much, but we were full afterwards and even ended up skipping dinner. It was a bit costly, but we thought it was well worth it. We're planning to make it a yearly tradition.

Great downtown location, very nice and clean rooms, amazing service by hotel staff and restaurants. A little expensive, but totally worth every penny in my book. Will stay again and recommend it to others.

Historic hotel with very friendly staff and a beautiful main hall but I would not return here. The amenities and rooms felt quite dated and if you are a light sleeper, the sound from the lobby travels very easily to rooms.

They told me one thing, did the opposite. Did not accommodate anything they told me on the phone and they were supposed to give me 2 credits and instead added it onto my bill!! I have to call back for the 10th time to get them removed. The front desk was no help. I will never stay here again!!

Beautiful historic Denver landmark. I had a meeting in the Ship Tavern. Perfect atmosphere. For a hotel built in 1893 it has new world elegance while still maintaining it's historic charm and guest attentiveness.

My husband and I were very excited to spend the night at the Brown Palace. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with what we got (especially for how much we spent). The room was small and unimpressive, the shower screeched when on, the drinks at the bar were overpriced and not made well, and the breakfast was nothing special (but very expensive). When I go to a place like this, I expect pleasing flavors and ambiance. What I got, however, was not worth how much I paid.
