a great agency to work for. the staff are very helpful and always make sure you re okay. they are very considerate and understanding of the days you are able to work and the days you can t. they go the extra mile to help you in any way they can and are very approachable with anything that may be bothering you. they offer shifts with amazing well known luxury brands and it s a great form of experience. they try their best to satisfy their workers which is highly applaudable. definitely recommend working with them

I don't understand the reviews being left here on Artisan People. I was only met with professional people who have helped me secure a full time position at the airport with an amazing brand. I have been working for Artisan People for more than a year. It was great while I was studying. I allowed me to have flexible hours and to work in institutions that I truly linked. You can choose your hours and where to work. For instance I worked at the British Library and met amazing co-workers. The only downside was sometimes the internal communication between Artisan and me. I wasn't always aware of what I was entitled.

First time working with this agency messed up my payment several times.. communication between client and consultant and myself was not very clear and professional.. would not be workin with them again hoping to get my pay soon.. on a positive note work with a few high end Brands

Asma In particular has been very supportive by providing me with training opportunities for the different brands I have worked for. The flexibility with this company is also great as it allowed me to work when I wanted to which is great for someone who is still in education. Overall I would definitely recommend people to work for this great company.

They are here to use people for financial gain and when something goes wrong for whatever reason they abandon you without any notice or explanation.

If you re looking for jobs in such cool locations and amazing environments Artisan People is your choice.
Throughout my first few years in the UK, everytime I needed a job they were there to help.
I have managed through them to build a lovely career starting from museums and customer relations to managerial and more important positions.
They are professional, helpful but more than anything, friendly and especially human (rare in London these days).
I now have my dream and perfect job and if I didn t gain experience through them I wouldn t know where I d be today.

Absolutely love working for Artisan. I ve been with them since October 2019 and it s been such a pleasure and great experience. A terrible experience with the Artisan staff in Selfridges.
David and Guy are bullies and very rude to the temps for 1 minute late. They are loud and shout at you infront of others. Then they put me on the worst counter ever Puig/Prada, the manager Karen was awful. I would get customers then the permanent staff would steal them off me.
I felt drained when I went home.
I have since moved to another agency where they behave like adults.
Much happier now with Flair.

I have worked at Artisan for over 3 years now and it has been brilliant! Being a student they work perfectly around your schedule and are really understanding when it comes to taking time off! Katrina is great at getting you as much shifts as you ask for and the full team is really accommodating. Never had a problem with pay either always get paid weekly on time, definitely one of the best agency company I have worked for, very professional!

I have worked for Artisan for around 2 years now! I absolutely love working for the agency. If you have a passion for fragrance and beauty, then I would definitely apply for the role! Shifts are really good and frequent, accommodating to your availability. I have made good relationships with colleagues and good relationships with management also. I love working especially throughout the festival seasons, as it is so much fun and there are loads of shifts to grab! Where some may find it a challenge, I believe the motivation and commitment is the one thing that will keep you moving! I would definitely recommend working for the agency, especially if you have a passion within the cosmetics and fragrance industries! I have boosted my confidence skills 100% since working for the agency and I suggest anyone who wants to pursue within these industries, should definitely give it a go :)

Worked for them for 3 years. Museums branch, not beauty or retail. Some few good professionals, but overall, terrible place. Every little thing is a horrendous fight, even for the most basic rights. Also, they treat you like a child and constantly patronize you. If you complain for the way they treat you or your colleagues, then you have "an attitude problem". All the colleagues I met during that time always agreed to them being just awful. I left ages ago and they still owe me and lots of others money. Stay clear, for your own sake.

Been working for this agency for nearly two years now. The staff & management is great and professional. There is work available throughout the year and if you are hardworking, the agency looks after you really well. The manager (Asma) is really approachable and looks after her staff really well. I m glad I opted out for this agency for work.

Artisan is a extremely friendly agency, they have excellent staff and are very helpful as they possibly can. I have worked in the Luxury division for 2 years now and I have always had an excellent experience with them. Margaret has been suberb throughout her time with the luxury division. But there is another person I believe is top staff in my opinion in the luxury division is Guy who is polite, hard--working, bubbly and always has excellent communication with all employees. Special thanks to you Guy for always looking after me and the rest of the fellow Artisan staff. I would recommend this agency and Luxury divisions Guy for people looking for casual, part time, or full time work. I know we can always rely on you, and I know the future of this agency is bright with you. :D

Artisan came to my work day at LCBT which I was really excited for as I was looking for work in the beauty industry. I went for an interview and signed papers including personal information. Once I left I waited for a timetable and got absolutely nothing. Never heard from them again. Very disappointed!

I previously had some background in working within beauty and fragrance but working with Artisan elevated this experience to a new level. I have worked with Artisan for around two years now and I have thoroughly enjoyed it. The brands that Artisan work with are absolutely fantastic and are at the forefront of the field and therefore makes working with them an enjoyable and refreshing experience. The stores that the company are employed by are indicative of the quality of the agency as all of the major retail stores are linked with Artisan. The management are friendly and easy to speak to and to book shifts with. The relationship between staff and employer is very good as there is an open and honest policy, which makes everything clear. I would recommend Artisan to any and all wishing to apply to this agency!

STAY away these people will lie to your face. Signed my contract for a job with them for a full time position got no phone call back complete waste of time. When i called them back to find out whats going on apparantly they dont even offer full time positions they waste your time and ONLY want to gain from having peoples details. WORST company EVER stay away.

This agency is just awful. Believe these reviews, as I myself was once unbelieving, or experience poor treatment for yourself. The consultants act like children, turning most basic matters in to dramatic fights. As soon as you talk up for yourself or question anything, they'll take you off their books. Very shady with money, have had numerous issues with not getting paid, holidays, etc. Agency workers regulations rights to be questioned, as they're also shady about that. AWFUL

I ve been working with the galleries and museums team at Artisan since September and my experience has been fantastic!! The guys in the office are really lovely, It s great pay, fantastic venues to work in with lovely staff, well organised and straight forward. Would especially say a good idea for anyone looking for more experience in a range of museums/cultural venues.

I have been working for Artisan for just over a year and my experience has been fantastic. Great pay in some of the biggest museums and galleries in the country. As a student, the flexibility they offer with their shifts works perfectly for me. I have always found the museum and galleries team (Tilly, Rachel and Marianne) very kind, helpful and professional in doing their best to find me work!

Recently just left this company. They offer amazing opportunities. Good pay and look after their consultants. The whole team are extremely helpful. It s an amazing company to work with. I highly recommend if you would like to build up your experience within the beauty related industry. You get to work with some amazing brands in some of London s most luxury department stores and boutiques. It s also amazing for flexibility as you can work when it suits you!

I was able to work in Selfridges through Artisan. I got to meet wonderful people and made a lot of new friends!
I think a lot of agency workers (especially the young ones) take the job for granted and don t do the job asked of them and this is why they have a bad experience because managers get on their case! Witnessed it too many times.
The agency staff are very good, especially before the old team left!
And the new manager, Guy, is very lovely and considerate towards his employees feelings and needs!

I have been working with the Museums and Galleries team since November and my experience so far is more than great. The team is fantastic! They offer amazing opportunities, they are really lovely and friendly and always available to help you. I highly recommend it if you want to build up your experience within the cultural and heritage sector.

I've been working as a temp in Museums and Galleries for Artisan for eight months. Very pleasantly surprised, they are efficient and helpful, and lovely and friendly. Great system, as long as you organise yourself and make sure your paperwork is accurate and submitted on time it works like a dream. I use this as a second job so great flexibility, have had work in fantastic places and without exception have been treated wonderfully by each of them.

Would not recommend. I know few people who did not have the most pleasant experience so on behalf of them for the company which is a shame!

I met with Amanda Hershman, Director of Corporate Recruitment, to discuss a permanent role that Artisan was advertising. After going through my CV, she didn't feel that I was a strong enough candidate for the employer. Fair enough.
She then explained that they had temp roles coming in all of the time, and that she would email me the temp registration forms to complete and email back. I was seen out with a bright smile and "we'll get you back to work!" No forms ever arrived.
If you are okay with having this agency's director lie to your face and disrespect you for fun, then this is the place for you. Otherwise, I would suggest that you not waste one precious moment of your time here.

I have been with the agency for a year and a half now and it is such an amazing agency. The company is flexible to an individuals needs and never disappoints, with opportunities to experience working with top luxury brand. I have worked with Artisan People for several years now. Previously some people working there were not great, hence some of the negative reviews.
However, since Sarah Timbrell started as Payroll Manager, things have improved drastically. A consummate professional! Now, all questions are answered in detail and the response rate is instant. Makes everything so much better all round.

Had a telephone interview with the Director of talent which was more like a interrogation. She was extremely rude and condescending in tone, with no social or customer service skills. I will be raising a formal complaint and certainly wouldn't want to work for any roles if this is their standard of recruitment skills.

Recommend this company to all who have a passion to work in the high end retail stores and learn lots through the training provided and work with a fantastic team

Terrible place to work they cancel shifts on you ignore your calls they have terminated my contract without giving me a reason and will not even aswer me on the phone they will not defend you if you have any sort of problem in a deparment store you are working in and they will refuse to pay you. Beware!!!!

I absolutely love these guys. They got me my first job in the Museums and Galleries sector in 2007, I worked for them for around 18 months then went to Uni. They got me temp work over all of the summer holidays when I would come back to London. When I moved back to London in 2015, they got me straight back into work the very next day, I spent two years working for them at some of London's top galleries and attractions. They eventually got me a management position in a prestigious gallery at the end of 2016, where I am currently working. I now liaise with them regularly as their client when they send me Temps, who are always great guys.

Don't believe the negative reviews. If you are a sensible, reliable person, you'll get on great with these guys, and send you to some truly amazing places to work. I owe them a lot and don't know where I would be in my career without them.

Artisan People are another example of a brilliant staffing agency for the luxury sector, that not only showcases incredible talent, but nurtures and looks after its team, be it with brand training or just being on the end the phone when you need them.

I ve worked for Artisan in the Manchester area for many years, and always have consistent bookings with the same clients and stores. The regularity of work and also the flexibility of shifts is one of the many reasons I ve stayed with them for so long, as well as the pay which even includes the ability to take paid holidays, and I have no desire to leave.

Nothing s ever perfect in this world, but what s a credit to both head office, payroll team and the Area Managers, Katrina and Natalie for the North in particular, is that when the occasional error of life occurs, they are always there to support you, and get anything resolved in lightening time.

Quite simply, you couldn t ask for more.

Incredibly unprofessional behaviour. They were recruiting for a certain company and sent me for an interview where the interviewer didn't even have me on the list and left....

Awful company!! They take all your details in your interview like bank details and passport ID then you don't hear off them when you email them or ring about starting work They promise you the world in the interview aswell. Stay well clear
