We celebrated Mother's Day with high tea in the large central atrium. There was wonderful life piano playing, and the allergies at the table were well accommodated (nut, gluten, stawberry). The servers were pleasant and helpful. There are not very many different teas available, but they cover a wide spectrum of different teas. Our seating was comfortable armchairs and the small couch. The food selection is what you would expect from high tea, three categories covering scones and fancy finger sandwiches and very fancy tiny desserts.

Staff are all wonderful, accommodations are fantastic and right in the heart of Denver.

Couldn't ask for anything less!

Denver friends and family please do not waste your money. It s not worth the expense. The floorboards in our room (429) were broken, under the right window. The robe was dirty (I have pictures of the brown stains on the arm). There was no mini fridge and the furniture was completely outdated and didn t match. Even the clean towels smelled bad when I was fresh out of the shower. The concierge service was great however, we got a lot of flack from the front desk because they did not communicate to other restaurants within the building about our package and credits. It appeared that the left hand didn t know what the right hand was doing, and it was our responsibility to prove ourselves several times. It was extremely draining mentally and emotionally when all I wanted was a relaxing birthday weekend. After speaking with several managers we were promised that our meal/cigar would be comped from the Churchill bar, but today I found they charged me behind my back. I feel like it s a slap in the face for terrible service in a building that needs several modern updates.

One of the few times I wish there was a 6 star system for when the hotel goes above and beyond it's expectations. I'd highly recommend this hotel for business and pleasure. Location is excellent. Food is excellent. Staff are friendly and the rooms are fantastic.

Had a very nice weekend stay here. Didn t get to enjoy Tea Time, but my wife and I can t wait to take a day date to it soon! Service was great and the building is rustically stunning. From the iron rich stone outside to the warmly lit yet grand lobby, you re going to feel comfortable. It truly does feel like you taken a step back several decades when you look at the buildings classic designs. The iron bannisters, glass ceiling, and hand-carved sandstone exterior just a few key features. Have, and will continue to, recommend this location to all my visiting family and friends. Looking forward to a drink and tea next time I happen to walk through the area.

Always First Class treatment! Enjoyed a lovely evening and dinner with the women of Executive Women International (EWI). Learned a bit of history about the "women of the Brown Palace" from historian Debra Faulkner. The holiday lights are elegant yet festive. A treat not to miss.

The ONLY thing my friend and I liked was the room. The hotel itself was beautiful; The room was nice, spacious and the bed was super comfy. The live music was a nice touch also.

I was charged $150 when the deposit online says $75. Made me wonder if that was a race thing because of our skin color we have to pay more. I got another random charge from them for $25.94, not big but the hotel couldn t provide any reasons for this additional charge. I let it go. We stayed 3 nights, on our LAST night as we were showering and getting dressed for our last dinner security kept showing up at our door, banging like the police. The first time he said someone complained we were smoking, we responded with you must have the wrong room , we were in our robes not fully dressed and explained to him we were rushing to make our dinner reservations. 7 minutes later he s banging on our door AGAIN and said this is the only room I m getting a smoke smell from we explained again we had not been smoking and offered them to check our room after we walk out since they weren t able to come in while in there due to Covid. WITHOUT checking our room first they immediately went downstairs to charge a $300 smoking fee luckily my card was LOCKED and they didn t get anything, DENIED! Thats what y all get for being greedy when our room throughout our stay was immaculate. We were never in our room we were out doing things every day of our stay then coming back at night for sleep. We gave them no issues whatsoever and I BELIEVE we were singled out because we were the ONLY two black women in the hotel! We believe they assumed we were the smokers because of our skin color. So fudge you The Brown Palace cause you do not treat your brown customers equally! I would NEVER return. The nicest staff was the guys who stood outside welcoming everyone and assisting with vehicles.

I have gone to the spa at the brown palace twice now and each time is not as satisfying as you would hope for the amount of money you pay. The people at the front desk at the spa are always semi rude to me and act like they have better things to do, I came out of the suana only to find a man standing in the women s lounge(it wasn t his fault, he worked there and was just doing his job, but it was shocking)the manicure was so quick, they don t even massage your hands or anything. They just filed my nails and painted them and that was it. It is very overpriced. And if you order wine or any drinks or food they charge you and extra charge just for them I bring it you to. I have been to many other spas and this one was nice and all but way too over priced for the level of service you receive. Nothing special about this place.

The Brown Palace in Denver is definitely a unique experience. The rooms were not great to me, the snotty crowd there was a little bit too much as well. But there was just something about the place that was unique and different, that I really enjoyed. I would also like to note, I did not get a chance to try out the spa which was one of the top things to do in Denver. The history and atmosphere is great in my opinion, however even after we upgraded to a better room the beds were absolutely dreadful. And that why I am giving the Brown Palace a 4 star. Still something I would recommend stopping by and checking out!

It has been a while since being here..37 years to be exact...with that said, we arrived for the Champagne Cascade. The hotel was bustling with music and chaos, lol. We arrived at 12:45 and was told our room was still being readied. Keep in mind, check in is at 3pm, so not big deal on waiting (um, overflowing champagne certainly is appealing). However, 3pm passed and our room wasn't ready...we finally got in our room at 4pm! Ouch. We passed time at the bar (bread pudding and frangelico coffee was delightful), and upon entering our room, found it clean and the view from the 6th floor super cool! For a hotel as old as this, it is pretty well maintained/clean.

We spent three nights with the Brown Palace for a work trip recently, and I was so impressed by many things. The service was impeccable. Even with the COVID-19 restrictions (ie. no housekeeping during the stay) any questions or requests for towels were met with the fastest service we have experienced in a long time. The entire team was kind and warm, and we felt like home.

We love historical significance, so really enjoyed the post-prohibition tavern, the artifacts through the hotel, and the well water from directly beneath the hotel.

In terms of food, the Brown s Tavern has an exceptional burger. We got room service for breakfast, and it came out within half an hour. The food was hot, the tray was stocked with anything we may need. The French toast, eggs, potatoes, and bacon were all beyond delicious. We appreciate the entire staff so much, thank you for making the stay a memorable one!

The Brown Palace is an amazing place. If you have never been here, you should plan a visit. From the attentive staff to the incredible architecture, no details are overlooked. This is a five star location all the way.

This is a beautiful, historic building and landmark in downtown Denver with a gorgeous, rich interior.

Not only do they have an authentic, period cigar bar, which we enjoyed most recently, they also serve a traditional high tea!

We were there on Derby Day this year and the whole entire center of the hotel was filled with people in full Derby outfits and hats and they were enjoying high tea with sandwiches and tea.

We were not there for Derby day and we're not dressed for the occasion, so we enjoyed the Cigar Bar and our husbands enjoyed delicious cigars that they chose from the cigar menu and everyone enjoyed a couple of old fashions while we lounged in leather, claw foot chairs and talked amongst the cool, wallpapered walls.

Underwhelming AF. We booked as a priceline 5 star hotel. Sorry folks you pay for the history not the amenities. Dinky little rooms all painted beige. No bath tubs or king beds to be found. No AC control.. Don't try to take a nap mid day here either. They play ballroom piano and jazz all day long from 10 am to 8pm. No silence in the rooms bc they all share the atrium. It's like they never heard of sound deadening doors when they remodeled a few years back. I would have been aghast paying full price. We were bummed we got it for a deal. Looking for a unique hotel go to Monaco, Oxford, or the Carlton. Want a nice hotel go to any of new builds. All have king beds, bath tubs, and most include breakfast. For less then the Brown Palace.

If I could give ZERO Stars, I would. Marriott headquarters just informed me that the hotel themselves cancelled my reservations without my knowledge nor notifying me that it was done ON THE DAY OF CHECK IN. What a disgrace. The manager on duty, Seth Dunham, was of no help whatsoever. Four star hotel?! I've had better service from Motel 8!

Went for tea today for a friend's birthday. Unfortunately they sat us next to the piano and we couldn't hear each other talk. The egg sandwiches were delicious. The scones were day old and cold. For 100 dollars we were expecting better. Service was great.Atmosphere was nice.

As someone who's had the opportunity to stay at a fair share of the hotels in downtown Denver, I can't help but feel that I've stayed somewhere else that caters more to my needs (consistent hot water, phone charger, water pressure, some type of security presence while the homeless people are outside screaming at no one. Just a guy in a tie like the other hotels will do.) while allowing me to save a buck for a better experience. Luckily for me my business is downtown and there are plenty of options in the area.

It's "okay" - the shower was awful, no water pressure to speak of. The price was way too high for what you get. Yes, the rooms are spacious but I would expect more of the bathroom area. The parking is valet only and the cost is $40. The piano playing in the open area was loud enough to hear in the room, which disturbed our nap. We had two drinks in the "smoking" lounge and it was $40. Just not worth the money we had to spend.

Luxury, grand decor and traditional service are what make this hotel superb. We had a wonderful time staying here. It's beautiful every where you look and the history of this place is fascinating. Bonus points for a quieter location right in downtown but steps away from the outdoor 16th street mall.

Very pretty hotel, pricey, but very rich history. The clientele is definitely on the 'hoity toity" end, which if you're a mere middle class citizen, can make you feel a tad out of place (like we felt).

My rating is for the afternoon tea at the Brown Palace, as I have not had the pleasure of staying there. It was wonderful! I really hope to be able to do this again. The scones were scrumptious, with clotted cream and jam to accompany them, and the tea sandwiches were delightful! They are incredibly generous and will bring more of whatever you like. They are also able to accommodate for dietary needs and allergies, just mention it to them. We had someone with a pepper allergy with us and they had some lovely alternate items for them to eat. You get to choose your tea and the ones we chose were all distinct and of high quality. I highly recommend this, it's very worth the price!

I thought I was buying my wife a massage at the spa, they took my credit card number for what I thought was payment for the charges. She showed up and had to pay for her gift, because they didn't inform me it was only to hold the appointment. The point of the gift was diminished. Not to the point as was portrayed!
