Food was good, furnishings needed an update. Lovely hotel as well.
Food was good, furnishings needed an update. Lovely hotel as well.
I have not stayed here. I have been to the restaurant and the cigar lounge.
Check in with Steph B, tea with Ian (?), massage with Doug and scrub with Debbie were awesome and indigent. It's hard to be both professional and friendly without being insincere or intrusive but they pulled it off with style. Beautiful room. Massage table headrest kept breaking during the massage (!) and shower drain backed up and no one seemed surprised at that so fix that. Please keep male employees from entering ladies spa area at least without a heads up.
Nice Hotel! I stayed overnight for a business meeting. Staff was friendly, food was decent , and shower was awesome. I like the old world style feeling.
Definitely could use a course in customer service while answering the phones. I won't be booking here! (9/27/17) 4:25p.m
Fantastic service and an upscale that hasn't been seen in a while in regards to customer service, that being said the security of the building is left up to question.
Full of history and charm. If you are an old soul this is the place to stay. Excellent restaurant and bars in the hotel.
High tea service is worth a visit. Advance reservations are typically needed as they book fast.
Attended a catered event in one of the ballrooms upstairs. Beautifully appointed w many original features, in excellent condition. Service was very good, and the food high quality.
I attended high tea at the brown palace in celebration of my grandma's birthday. The food and tea was delicious and the service was very good as well. Overall it was a very enjoyable experience.
Attended the champagne brunch for an early mother's day celebration. The food and service was outstanding
Very nice historical hotel. Service is excellent. Four stars because it can be loud/noisy in your room. Noise is from lobby.
Beautiful high tea. Delicious scones, devonshire cream. Nice ensemble playing music during tea.
Beautiful historical hotel. The room have been modernly appointed but you can see it's showings it's age in the corners and doorsills. Overall, a cool place and I appreciated the little history tidbits.
Step back into a time of elegant, this is where I go to feel at peace.
Beautiful lobby tea service for Christmas! Service was impeccable. The gluten free scones can't be beat! Classic China. I love their Devonshire cream!
I love their champagne brunch. There are so many wonderful things on the menu. I would give that 5 stars. I expected more out of the hotel but I guess I don't have an appreciation of its historic value over radiator noise. The room didn't have a tub. I took advantage of the couples massage, absolutely delightful experience, nice room. Service was great and staff was friendly.
Very elegant. I went with my mom and we both enjoyed it. I'd say not the best either of us have had but the setting was delightful.
I love the Brown Palace! I spoke with the kindest concierge Sharon and she was so helpful. I can't wait to visit again for the holidays!
Luxury in the heart of Denver. Service this good comes from only the best. Great job making sure we felt welcomed and appreciated.
90 minute wait for room service. 1 of the 2 guest elevators out of order for the entire stay, and not even marked until the second day. It took fully 5 minutes running the shower before hot water arrived.
Unacceptable for such an expensive hotel that bills itself as Denver's first 4-star hotel.
Service, Water, Piano Man , Location, Beds, Super Deep Tubs and Double-Spray Showers
The hotel is beautiful with a very rich history. I highly recommend taking the historical tour. The hotel historian is amazing! The rooms are well appointed and the beds are comfy. The rooms are definitely not sound proof so if you are staying on floors 2-7, it can get noisy. However, it quiets down around bedtime and the noise didn't bother us too much. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My only real complaint is that checkout is at noon, but the housekeeping staff knocked on our door 4 times before checkout. The first time at 9 am! We had planned on just relaxing in the room before catching a ride to the airport, but decided to leave a little early due to the continued knocking by housekeeping.
A old classic that is not aging well as far as service goes. I always thought of it as a classic cornerstone in more ways than one but said to see what it's become. I won't be recommending this place in the future and as it shows the lesser side of Denver rather than a strong history and value.
Really nice hotel, lots of cool history behind it too
The coolest hotel in which I have ever stayed. Cannot say enough, so I will let the pics speak for me. Restaurants on-site were OUTRAGEOUSLY priced, but I will say they have some of the most beautiful floral arrangements!
This is supposed to be a 4 Star hotel. Knowing 4 star standards, the Brown Palace falls EXTREMELY short. When we pulled up, the valet looked at us twice, and continued his conversation with someone who works there. My husband had to physically go get him to come out and park our car. We were not offered help with our bags. The front desk staff were very nice and personable. Our room was small, but nice. Unfortunately, we couldn't get the temperature over 70 degrees on a cold October evening. We went to the Tavern bar for drinks and a bottle of wine before our room service was delivered. The atmosphere was nice, with a piano player and singer. The bartender was very busy, so it felt like we were ignored for 10 minutes while sitting at the bar. Once we got his attention and made him aware that we were there to have drinks, he was great. The one and only room service girl was FANTASTIC. She was honest, prompt, and very professional. We ordered appetizers, filets, and 4 creme brulee, and the food was AMAZING. SO much better than we were expecting from a room service order. We requested a late check out (1pm) when checking in, which was honored. The hotel needs to communicate these changes to the housekeeping staff. Unfortunately, they did not, and housekeeping was knocking on our door at 10:30am. They were gracious and apologetic about the miscommunication. We were also unlucky enough to stay on an evening where window cleaning would commence at 8am the next morning, and we had people and "things" banging on our windows for HOURS! Upon leaving the room, housekeeping was fantastic, and very personable. In all, my husband and I had a fantastic last minute Friday night getaway. It wasn't what I have come to know AND expect from a 4 star hospitality experience, but it was nice. We may be a bit spoiled by our frequent stays at the Broadmoor Hotel. Honestly, the Brown Palace could learn a thing or two from them.
Had a Cigar and some Scotch at Churchill's bar. Great atmosphere, amazing service.
A true classic with all the class. Highly recommend!
I would NOT recommend this hotel. Although, the Brown Palace is a beautiful historic hotel in Denver, it leaves a lot to be desired as far as customer service goes. Check in is supposed to be at 3pm. I called days in advance to see if I could request an early check in. Although, not guaranteed they said they'd try and would add a note to our hotel confirmation. Not only were we unable to check in early, our rooms weren't ready until 5pm! 2 hours after check in time. The hotel was not at all apologetic for the delay and didn't even seem to have a reason for not having our rooms ready in time. We were hosting a large group of people in town on business and we had to completely change our agenda due to the two hour wait to check in. I would NOT recommend the Brown Palace. The staff was snobby and I did not feel at all welcomed or well taken care of during our stay. There are plenty of other hotels in Denver that can get you checked in on time and a friendly staff to give you a warm welcome and enhance your stay here in Colorado, the Brown Palace is just not one of them.
Made a visit to the spa today. Validated valet parking was great. My esthetician Veronica and my massage therapist Michelle were very friendly and great. Felt and looked like a million bucks! Would have rated five stars, but the spa locker room needs some attention from maintenance. Broken lockers, and tiles falling out of the shower. Bathrobes are all huge and starting to look worn. A world class spa can always to better. Will return !
Had afternoon tea for the first time yesterday, it was absolutely lovely. Perfect service and the food & tea was amazing! Can't wait to go back
Everything was just terrific. The rooms are large and the beds are comfy. Everyone has gone out of their way to be helpful. Everyone who works here always asks if they can do anything else. I appreciate that they are attentive.
It's an old hotel obviously. But done tastefully. My room lacked an ironing board and the most convenient power outlet was not functional. My only gripes. Restaurant was great.
Old, historic and beautiful. A must see for anyone interested in the history of Denver.
Rooms aren't very sound proof but they're charming and well taken care of considering the age.
Wow, awesome anniversary stay. Beautiful building, people, food, room, all great. Will stay again.
I keeps asking me to review the Brown Palace, since they have so many different venues inside. I only got to go to the bar and the place for corporate parties. But if the rest of the facilities are as well run, I'm sure they are all awesome
Great view great location stuff was very nice I would stay again if and when I come back.
Booked a tea time for 5 and it was wonderful, complete with performances and amazing table side service.
Ibrahima is the best bartender I have had in years, very helpful and knowlageable. Great drinks and smokes.
Over rated hotel with horrible customer service. From room service to the door guys. Step up your game guys. Go to the indigo hotel. Alot prettier and better staffed
Too hot and unexpected cost, but beautiful and comfortable with great food. The unexpected cost I refer to is there is only valet parking, which runs 49 dollars overnight so each night you stay will cost an extra $49. Everyone there is exceedingly professional, so everything runs smoothly. When you walk into the cavernous lobby filled with old world luxury you can see all the way to the stained glass ceiling past the floors of rooms. When you get your room, the process of which is entirely fuss free. Even the lower end room like the one I got is clean, elegant, and comfortable, but I did not get a good night's sleep sleep. No matter how low I turned the thermostat, or how or how fast I set the fan, I could not get the room below 73 degrees. Being from Wyoming it was difficult heat to handle. The only restaurant I ate at was Ellyngton's for breakfast. The service was amazing, the food equally so.
Went for their high tea and it was marvelous! Great service, delightful tea, and delicious food!
Went to have tea with friends. The tea was lovely: good food and lots of hot tea. The live piano music was a special addition.
I was so looking forward to staying here as I've been in the lobby, and eaten here and it's phenomenal, unfortunately the class does not continue into the rooms. I got a room here for a weekend getaway with my boyfriend. I was expecting a very nice place, as this is listed as a 4.5 star hotel. Unfortunately the room was so small it couldn't even fit an end table on both sides of the bed. The handle on the shower was so loose I thought it was going to fall off, and the bathroom was dirty. I paid for a nice experience, but got a motel 6 quality room. Very disappointing.
Fantastic atmosphere and tea. Beautiful atrium. Their signature tea is very authentic.
we always come here for brunch at either Christmas or thanksgiving. great food, service and i love how they play piano whale you wait for your table/room.
Aron is an amazing chef!! Go in for the amazing food and to get treated like a special guest! The chandelier is pure perfection as well.
Afternoon tea was a great experience. It isn't cheap but the staff treats you like royalty and the food, while small portioned, is excellent. We started off our Denver vacation here and it was great.
Beautiful building, exceptional service, the staff is absolutely wonderful. Delicious drinks and AMAZING food.
Its history, its elegance, its magic, its service and distinction.
We went for tea, it seems like the quality of food has been on the decline for a while. Still it's fun to go.
Champagne Brunch was ammmmazzzing. Do not miss it if you are in the area!
A fantastic hotel with great service and in great condition. Not a single screw loose or dirty surface. Such a nice place to stay.
This iconic and historic hotel is a must-see for residents and tourists alike. Even if you don't have a room booked, stop by and take a great shot of the exterior and then go inside to marvel at its expansive atrium!
An awesome historic hotel. wonderful food, Staff was very friendly and attentive.Definetly i will come again.
Had holiday tea there and they shoved extra tables in to get more money. Over crowded and essentially trapping you in once seated. Poor wait staff were running around because of the overload and clear lines to walk thru. Our waitress was able to maintain a friendly professional attitude and good service even in these conditions. One star for the greedy management and 5 stars for the ENTIRE wait staff.
Nice looking hotel. Was on the way out for a drink passed it.
Spa staff was very nice and professional. Everything was amazing!
Beautiful hotel and the rooms were very nice but that's about it. Because even if you have all the money in the world you'll still be annoyed by how you have to pull out your credit card for everything as even access to Wi-Fi is behind a paywall.
I loved this hotel so much! The rooms are so cute and building and interior is stunning! But I would avoid the cigar lounge. High tea is a must! Staff is so helpful and friendly. Only thing is late checkout is almost non existent
Great hotel. Wasn't ready for Xmas yet but the decorations were a nice touch. Jazz on the weekends.
The energy is very special and very historical. Molly Brown has a presence through the building. The staff knows how to play their parts.
Absolutely stunning and historic property but was our one-night stay was, unfortunately, not up to Autograph Collection Hotel standards.
The hotel itself is very old, which is gorgeous, but the housekeeping staff do not have attention to detail. Our room was dirty when we arrived- dust on the windowsill/bench, soap from the last guest in the soap tray, fuzz and hair on the floor from the Previous guest. All and all, pretty gross. There are far cleaner hotels to stay at within a few blocks of the hotel.
Bad experience from check in to check out. No AC in my room. I was given a box fan. I requested a new room and received no response. Room had dirty rags in the sink when I checked in. AC vents were filthy ...either dirt or asbestos. I requested twice for the manager to call me while I was there. I requested the manager to call me after check out so I could provide feedback. To date I have received no response
I loved the place. We went to eat and the food and service were incredible.
