Five star conference venue, I visited 2014 and it was such a pleasant weather by the beach imagine riding a horse or playing golf at the beach! Can not imaging when will have time to visit this place again
Location, view, and food are all excellent. It is very pricy though but worth it.
Not a huge fan of resorts but this place is appealing for its peace and wonderful views of the Pacific, with Catalina in the background.
All the restaurants are pretty expensive and life here is characterised by long waits - a wait to even arrive because of the number of cars in front of the building, a wait to check in, a wait to get into a restaurant, even when you have a reservation, fourteen people on line in front of me just to buy a cup of coffee this morning.
The pools all appeared quite crowded and there isn't enough seating at the cove.
I was here for a board meeting organised by someone else. Wouldn't choose it as a solo traveler.
Get one of the Villas, instead of Casitas or the rooms. They provide transportation from/to the resort from surrounding areas. The front desk will give you a glass of champagne when you check in. Restaurants quality are typical of resorts. Picturesque view. Cabana is costly at the pool area, I prefer the jacuzzi in the Villa anyway.
Its really nice here the pool is by far my favorite part and the workers are very kind and make sure everyone is well taken care of.
Probably the single best resort I've been to in the states. Luxury, but without the fool's gold facade that most other resorts wear.
The food was exquisite. The drinks, superb. The spas and activities were excellent.
But most importantly, all of the staff and crew and activity leaders were down to earth. None of the facile treatment from other "high class" resorts.
The people and its history truly make this resort one for the books.
An amazing experience. I go here every year as part of our company's annual leadership conference and I look forward to going back every year. Awesome views, great Service, friendly staff and superb restaurants. Don't forget to visit the Asian restaurant (Don't remember the name of the restaurant). An great place for families with kids as well as couples. Meets everyone's needs.
Great resort with great service. Good for families and adults. The view is amazing.
Beautiful place with gratservice. I would go again!
Good food, good service. Wait time for a table was kinda high but view was great
Amazing views, the patio is fantastic. A truly wonderful place to have lunch. The food was fantastic, unfortunately quite expensive. Staff were amazing, and the restaurant appeared quite clean. A great experience overall, the staff were very considerate and caring when addressing my allergies as well.
Great scenery. Great location. Beautiful place for events. Downside: food is pretty pricey
Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes.
You can take a walk on the premises.
There are several shops and you can enjoy it.
The view is the best!
Love this place, beautiful, friendly employees, very clean place, view of the ocean fantastic.
This is a beautiful location overlooking the Pacific. Dinner was superb. I had the beef ribs. The meat was perfectly cooked. The gnocchi was slightly charred giving a crust which provided an ideal contrast to the soft juice cut of beef.
I was just visiting a friend who was staying there for the week/end. They had complimentary wine and snacks, and the view of the ocean was amazing~ I would love to stay here for a staycation in the future. :)
Great venue for a celebration. Wait staff is very helpful. Sunset view was photographed by many.
Construction the entire time. At no time when we booked the resort directly with them did they mention construction. Management did not show any concern over these bad business practices!! Terrible!!
Bachi was delicious. Service awesome. Hotel grounds beautiful. Valet very nice and helpful.
We loved every little thing about our stay. Great food, dining variety, gorgeous pools with beautiful views... love the trails.
Nelson's was a treat last evening. The best night spent in Terranea & I will return. Relaxing & beautiful to be back yearly
Great resort to relax and get away for a weekend. Service was impeccable from the time you arrive to the time you leave. Rooms were large and showers had double heads. Fun little par 3 golf course on site as well. Two pools and plenty of walking/hiking paths to the beach. The beach is rocky, so you do have to be careful but they warn you of that before you head out.
Absolutely phenomenal service there. Three excellent valet, great food, beautiful grounds and amazing views.
Beautiful. Delicious breakfast. Exceptional service.
Dessert and drinks at the Sea Bean are very good and not overly expensive despite the area.
I thought this was going to be a real dining experience! I received a Terranea gift card for $300 which supposedly was good for everything at the resort. I was like wow! I called the local number for Nelson's to make a reservation and was told by a not very nice young lady that I wasn't allowed to dine there if I wasn't a guest for the night. I said ok, I'd like to makes a reservation at Marsela then. I was transferred to "LOSS PREVENTION " and I said I'm looking for Marsela's. They then hung up on me. Rude, inconsiderate staff and honestly I lost all desire to ever check this classless place out. If I could give 0 stars I would.
a stay in September 2015 which remains a great memory. very nice resort.
I wish I could live here lol.. breathtaking views and great to bring the kids.
I didn't stay at the resort, but I did use the free parking to get ice cream and walk around. If you can find parking (the free lot is small, and the street fills up quickly) it's a great place to hang out, even outside the resort. I suggest taking a stroll down the paths to get down to the ocean area where you can climb around on some rocks or rent a kayak. It can be a fun way to spend a weekend afternoon!
Wish I would have found this gem sooner! There is a beautiful outlook with a really awesome cave. People were jumping in and swimming all around the rocks and into the cave, will be visiting again with a swimsuit!!
The room we had our meeting was excellent along with the service
I liked the walking trails, public parking lot and coffee shop.
Upscale enjoyable resort with fantastic dining and service. Beautiful views and a cooler atmosphere during a hot Los Angeles day.
Fantastic ocean views, fantastic restaurants with excellent food and great service.
Had a great time the place is nice the restaurants are great, except for one bar that we had intended to have drinks at was there with my husband and we got ignored after a group of guys walked in the bartender girl completely ignored us so we decided to go to another bar but everything else was great
Update 4.10.19. I went back last Saturday and had a very different experience and I updated my review to 4 Stars. Thank you Terranea Resort staff for your response.
I've heard many good things about this venue and my wife & friends often visit. I was invited by a friend and business partner for drinks and appetizers. Great location, and that is worth 2 stars at least, but the service level disappointed. For a Saturday night, it was not that busy, and there were plenty of staff, but still very slow and at times inattentive service. I will likely go back, but with some reservation.
Beautiful resort for the view of the hills and ocean. Nelson's food is great and in a great location.
This is one of the most beautiful places in all of southern California. It's right on the ocean. The buildings are beautiful, the landscaping is due really well. I recommend visiting even if you can't afford to stay overnight. There are several guys restaurants.
Beautiful resort. Had drinks and dinner at Nelson's. Food was good, service was great, it was just super crowded so the wait was long.
Beautiful property. The cielo point area has amazing views, full bar and food.
Terranea is my ideal resort getaway, so close to the city and yet so tranquil and totally allows you leave your hectic days behind. The place is luxurious yet so friendly. Prices are reasonable and affordable. I drive here whenever I can and just have a peaceful time walking their wonderful pathways.
Good
Place to walk around.
Just wow! Great staff, location and property truly 5 stars around
Spectacular view. Excellent venue. Friendly courteous customer service. Wonderful food.
I was at the Terranea Resort for a meeting. The room was very comfortable with very soft chairs. The bathrooms we're heated and the parking lot was close to the meeting room
Came here for their delicious desserts at the cafe. Super relaxed atmosphere and very friendly staff!
Beautiful setting,Grounds ,rooms staff all first rate. We are coming back!
My bartender said he didn't know the name of the drinks or how to make them. Then couldn't make a good old fashioned. If you cannot make a good old fashioned with the hipsters pushing it now a day's then you need to find a new job. But the view gives it 2 stars. Food and drinks are a waste of money.
Delightful atmosphere. Tres chic. Friendly staff. Met Phil Spector's unlikely defender. Very strange.
Location is beautiful. I spent time with friends at Nelson's restaurant. Food is pricey. but you pay for the view. The food was delicious.
Absolutely breathtaking! Amazing view ; great service ...just stunning. You feel like you're on an island ...thousands of miles away from the LA jungle
