Terranea is on an incredible location right by the ocean. My husband and I went out to dinner at Nelson's with our two toddlers and enjoyed the beautiful trail and delicious food. Great amenties and well kept resort. We love our visits tbere!

The environment is very beautiful and the view is wide. It is suitable for weddings and honeymoons. It is very pleasant to go shopping inside. I heard that the buffet is not bad.

Really beautiful resort with everything you could want on site. In LA county but light years away from LA culture...in a good way.

As first time guest, we enjoyed our stay. Great family pool and kids slide.
However upon leaving, we stopped at the SeaBean for breakfast and had a horrible experience. We ordered food and coffee. The coffee was given to us and we were told the food would be brought out to us. Needless to say, no one brought out our food and it sat there on the counter cold. The manager apologized and told us the server looked for us. Next time we visit, we'll avoid SeaBean and just go to Starbucks.

Fantastic and peaceful resort. I enjoyed the direct unobstructed view of the Pacific Ocean from my suite. Staff were very nice and Tim, the GM from the UK, was FABULOUS! THANK YOU!!!

The service is great. I usually go for the bar and the staff is always friendly and patient. I the outdoor patio with multiple couches with fireplace is a luxury that's worth the drive.

This is a very nice resort to rest and visit. It is very exclusive and expensive. It has multiple pools and multiple restaurants for any taste. It has many rooms with views of the ocean. Parking is easy. Bring classy clothes to get a classy drink in their lounge.

Very good service and the food, the prices are a bit steep though which is why it gets 4 stars

I used the Valet and accidentally locked the keys in the car. By the time I was done with my meal they had it figured out for me. The food, drinks, and overall atmosphere of the resort were second to none and my mom, her friend, and I had a great day at Terranea!

Beautiful quiet place, an escape with plenty of offerings on site. Wonderful views and plenty of ways to relax with all the pools and bars. Would not recommend their drink recipies a bit too much.

Considering I went during Covid, it was a nice time. The hiking trails are beautiful. The food selection was a bit limited and there were a few stains on the chairs in the room. The spa was also closed.. those are my only complaints (Oh! And parking is $40/day). The staff, however, was very friendly and the overall customer service was great! I will definitely return post-Covid!!

Severely anti-union! Spent over a million dollars to defeat their own chamber maids from organizing. Wow. And then sent a letter to the voters crowing about it. I stay away now. Bad vibe.

I went there for a restaurant. The place is lovely, but hard to find outside sittings.

Can't believe it has been 10 years. We stayed here 9 years ago and it feels like it's been here for decades. Beautiful trees probably part of Marineland theme park in decades past. Really enjoyed the drinks at the bar.

Beautiful architecture set in midst of a big park like ....perfect to get away from the city. Everything is absolutely first class and the incredible views of the ocean, sunset, the hills from every possible angle only add to the fantastic service, rooms and public areas. The beauty and serenity of the hotel is the unmatched.

The short is -"Wow!" The long is - my company recently went to Terranea for a group spa therapy and we received way more than we ever expected! Especially for being the only guy in the Spa!

We began the day with an early morning run at the high-tech Spa Gym, and moved our way to Solviva, the cool new restaurant by the pool. We were blown away by the professionalism and enthusiasm of the staff and the chef.

Maureen, who I felt conducted herself as owning the place, immediately took care of us from start until her shift was over at 6PM! She really did pamper us with wonderful and fresh ideas on how to make our stay better than it already had been. We casually mentioned that we were also eating lunch at Nelson's - the awesome cliff-side restaurant and bar - she coordinated with the Nelson's crew while we were enjoying ourselves to have our appetizers ready when we are seated 8-) Did she made us feel like a KINGs and QUEENS! Certainly hope to see her there more often and can't wait to return! Thank you, Terranea & Maureen!

I walked around the resort on the trails and it had a beautiful view of the ocean.

One of the top resorts in the world. The serenity, the atmosphere, the views, the restaurants is something me and my family always cherish. We live in Dubai and travelled the world staying in luxury hotels but Terranea is one of our top top favs.

This is a nice resort. The place makes you feel like you've escaped the city life. The hotel is well kept, and the service was good when they weren't busy.

The Terranea Resort is an absolute hidden gem nestled in the coastal foothills of Rancho Palos Verdes. The architecture and layout is very unique and beautiful, this romantic setting is a popular destination for business conferences, meetings, or just to enjoy a great meal while overlooking the Pacific ocean. This is a full service resort complete with a beautiful golf course, as well as long term residences.

Very quiet and sensational place. It was a great stay in the resort. Loved the atmosphere, activities, and scenery. It worth a revisit in the future. The breakfast was amazing, they have a variation for selection. The room was perfectly sectioned with all the appliances that you need. The service was great and the staff were helpful and welcoming.

Great 9 hole par 3 golf course. Walking only. Very nice layout, perfect scenery, and nice greens. Lunch at Nelson's was alright. Fairly boring menu but good service and great views.

Beautiful Seaside overlook location, clean grounds, service is on par with Diamon Collection locales.

The beach is nice, except today the waves were really crashing. Not the resorts fault tho

Terranea Resort is very well thought out and the service was impeccable. From the complimentary champagne at check in to making sure my water was filled at the restraunt. Great service all around.

This is one of the premier properties of California. I stayed in a suite that had every amenity you could hope for in an extended stay type vacation. The property is manicured, awesome waking trails, fitness area. Many dining and bar options on property. The views of the Pacific are breathtaking with a clear view of Catalina island

Because the scenery is so nice, the place I want to go often is not so good compared to the expensive food in the end.

I want to give this place 10stars best food service views just the best overal . I loved every minute . its worth every penny you spend. If you got compliants here you are just unhappy and a miserable person. Even the hike we took was wonderful. The drinks were made from heaven. All the staff is awesome friendly and makes you feel like they've know you for years

This is a very lovely resort although the prices reflect that. Four resort pools, an golf course, a great fitness center with lots of classes (medium quality, not very strenuous), and tasty restaurants that are definitely above par for resorts. Great turndown service as well with thoughtful touches such as ice, pulling out the coffee machine, etc. Staff are friendly and helpful. Worth it for a luxurious weekend getaway.

My parents, husband and I loved staying here at this hotel! The property is beautiful. The rooms were clean, neat, and equipped with a modern shower and toilet. Cellphone service was also provided how cool is that! The staff are friendly, always helpful, and always smiling. We will come back to our next trip!

I liked the resort because it was a remote location. I didn't like that we paid for a villa and it was the furthest room from the resort and hotel. I would think that for those prices I'd be in a great location by the water. The property is huge so be prepared to do a lot of walking.

We just went for a hike around the resort which was stunning. We cannot say about the rooms, and service.

Very beautiful location, very nice resort with tons of things to see and do. Not as yes yes yes, whatever you like as the Ritz Carlton or Four Seasons, but if the price is right, a tremendous stay.

No better place for a beach side staycation in the LA area
