Terranea Resort Review

Always a great time. The service is exceptional every time. Great rooms and amenities, an assortment of pools, a complimentary fitness center, and great event food. Host your event here. You won't be disappointed.

Hotel resort atmosphere. Very family friendly. Dogs everywhere. Kids everywhere. Lots of trails and places to explore. Various scheduled activities happen that people can participate in. Open to public not required to be a guest to partake in anything.

The entire experience can be described in one word: Amazing.

The ocean views provide beautiful backdrops for the resort. The vibe of the property is upscale, private, and romantic. It was a pleasure to wander the grounds and discover the beauty around every turn.

The villas on the property are top notch and very spacious. They overlook the golf course and provided us with a beautiful sunset over the Pacific Ocean.

There are plenty of dining options on the property, though I only experienced two of the property's dining venues: Catalina Kitchen and Bashi. I was pleased with the quality of both restaurants.

Ideal location with beautiful caves full of rocks that make a relaxing sound with the tide. Generous 42 dollar buffet pretty much mandatory since other breakfast offerings typical. Carvery is especially good.

The 9 hole golf course there is challenging, and the views are spectacular. Excellent weekend getaway spot. ENJOY!!!

Terranea is always a great spot to meet for drinks and dinner. It's such a beautiful place. We ate at Nelson's and the staff was extremely accommodating. They moved benches and tables so that 10 of us could sit together.

Nelson's was great - view was beautiful, great food, service was okay.

My kids and I had blast here. The kids loved the pool and it was heated, so it was perfect. Was able to get in our room a little early too. I recommend this place if you wanted to have a nice family vacations

Nelsons is a great restaurant with an awesome view of the ocean and great food. In high demand so get a reservation if you can.

A little slice of paradise right down the street. Great place to hang in the lobby and listen to live music, grab a drink in front of a fire pit at Nelson's or have a nice yet reasonably priced dinner at Catalina Kitchen. The rooms are romantic but a splurge. And the spa massages are best in class but also a bit pricey since the rest of the spa facilities are just ok. Don't miss the Great little coffee shop out front!

This was a gorgeous venue for a meeting I attended. Unfortunately it rained the days I was there. However prior to departing it cleared and I was able to take some beautiful pictures of the grounds and Pacific coastline. I was also surprised how good the food and service was.

Loved it! Beautiful resort, lovely walking trails, the accommodations were fantastic with the best mini bar I've ever seen at a hotel. The staff were all very helpful and gracious. It was our second time at this hotel and we'll most likely stay there whenever we go to L.A.

An impressive place to stay. Fantastic restaurants, great service, comfortable beds, and awesome views of the Pacific everywhere. With all there is to see and do it's impossible to be bored.

This place is beautiful. The staff was very polite and friendly.

I recently visited Terranea resort to golf with my wife as she had purchased a round of 2 through Groupon as a gift to me. The course is a 9 hole 3-par course with beautiful views of the coastline and the resort. The parking attendants were helpful in getting us to a spot we could park for free and the clubhouse employees were very helpful in providing a tee time after on online registration seemed not to go through. I would love to check out the resort's restaurants and walkways next time as the resort is in a beautiful location right on the Palos Verdes cliffs. As it was the golf was great fun and I will definitely be coming back.

This may be a bias review because my parents have a home very close to the resort, but I love this place! Terranea Resort offers spectacular views of the Pacific, beautiful hiking grounds, and great dinning choices. Perfect for family vacations, romantci evenings, special events and conferences. The also offer jazz nights so if your a jazz lover, call to see which nights they'll have live music. Enjoy!

Beautiful resort with pool, spa & walking trails. Small beach area to sit but too rocky for swimming. Saw dolphins & one of the last migrating whales from trail. Stayed in 1br Casita that had full kitchen & W/D. Friendly staff & service.

Ate at Nelson's. Food was good, service a little slow. Can't beat the view.

Stayed in an ocean view room that faced directly west. The room was unremarkable and plain for a resort of this caliber. We had dinner at Marcel where the food was overpriced and bland. The only special aspect of this resort is the location - it sits on the on the coast and beachfront.

It was my 1st time. It was a b'day lunch. The food was terrific...the drinks were excellente! The view from the patio FANTASTIC! This was the least pricey restuarant on the resort grounds. Well worth it.

The scenery is amazing and the trails are fun to explore. When approaching the Resort, I felt like I was going to get 5 star service, which I did. Keep it up!

Beautiful, luxurious and 1st class. Amazing scenery, amenities and great staff. I slept like a baby in the big fluffy bed with all my pillows -it was heaven. Catalina kitchen had AWSOME food. The creme brule cheesecake was to die for!

This place is a gorgeous hotel.
All of the rooms are just a couple minute walk from the cliff side with a view of Catalina and a lighthouse.
One fun fact is the chef harvest his own sea salt. They have a greenhouse where they show you the different stages of sea salt harvesting and how they use the ocean water.
The staff is extremely friendly and the golf course is also within walking distance.
if you like golf and beautiful views this is definitely the hotel to check out

Love this resort. Top notch service except at Sea Beans.

The location is amazing, right on the water facing the sun setting. Our hotel room was really nice, but we had to go through maze to get there! Loved the bathroom, giant bathtub, and huge shower. The service was very kind and attentive. The only qualm I have is the massage I got, was amateurish, and I expected a higher level for the price (4x what I normall pay). Their spa was nice and relaxing, and the device providers were all kind and helpful.

Seems to forget its a 5 star hotel. Stayed 2 days at the resort, paid bill. Came back 10 minutes later to ask for a room to change from a suit to jeans told no room available change in the rest room . Not what you expect from a 5 star hotel. if it wasnt for the fact that a big conference just finished, i would of believed him. Not the way to get return business. Pitty...

This is the best location. I loved my one bedroom Oceanview suite, where u get a great view of the pool and the ocean. Spa is very nice too and love the fitness room. I tried all restaurants on the premise every day as I stayed here for a week. Only complain might b that all restaurant prices are high. I loved Bashi the most. All services were excellent!

went for dinner at Mer cel. excellent food, service, views. go early as it was empty at 5 pm on a sunday

My favorite place in Southern California. Unmatched view of the ocean, Catalina island and brilliant sunsets. And if you are lucky enough, whale sightings!

Stayed at the resort and they lost my rental car keys when I was checking out. Five or six hours later they were returned. I missed the flight and they said that they would reimburse all expenses but did not. It costed me a lot of time and fees to get back home. I would never stay there again or recommend to anyone. I would give it 0 stars if possible.

A very nice resort in the Lung Beach area of Los Angeles. The rooms are very sophisticated, clean and suitable for families and the view of the sea is very wonderful and comfortable and the service is excellent

It was great by all standards, yet the adult pools seems like a library. Exctremlu quite, some loud music and a staged pool party would have been nice

Gorgeous, welcoming, fun! Terranea is a sanctuary perched above the Pacific. The bars, restaurants and rooms are beyond compare. Worth a visit, even for the day if you are in the area.

Luxurious resort. Many pools and restaurants. The room was adequate. The service was amazing. Truly a different level. Travis at the front desk was exceptionally helpful.

Went to the public beach area. Parking is free. Great walk partially paved. Trail take you to a Sandy Beach cove like area against a cliff.
