I think that the process of getting registered for my surgery was great. Fast and very streamlined. However the main issues I had with the facility is that they don t have any pre op and post op rooms. They have like little cubbies with curtains. And the curtains don t close well. So that morning I was in there with maybe 6 other patients and the nurses are getting us ready for surgery and I can hear all the other patients conversations and concerns. There is no door so no privacy. When my doctor came to mark me up. My doctor is a Methodist doctor so he didn t know what to expect. And he could tell I was soooo uncomfortable because not only can I hear other doctors talking to their patients. I can see them walking back and forth through the cracks of the curtains because as I said before they don t close well. So me trying to hold my gown over me and my private s so nobody can catch a lookies. And I know your thinking Well they re all medical professionals. No. This was a VERY BUSY hallway. They had instrument people and custodians. The people that replenish the IV bags and stuff walking by. I had to do a complete undressing and wipe down so I huddled in the back corner with my back turned and gown own. This was before surgery and then after I woke up to another women s moaning and crying on one side and another women s chatting with her husband on the other side. This was a outpatient procedure so I know you don t get like hospital rooms with bathrooms a couch and Tv s but at least they could have is a door to make the outpatient facility a little more private. Also while waiting the nurses asked if I needed another warm blanket. I said no I m good but asked for one for my sister while she waited with me. The nurse said the facility only wants to give out two per patient.... that s cheap. Especially since they wash and reuse.
