Top quality care for a Medicare patient.

Top quality care for a Medicare patient.

My husband is disabled and has "new" problems on occasion, in addition to his ongoing chronic issues. We have never had a problem with the ER staff - admissions, doctors, nurses... all of them are very caring and know their job. I feel he is always triaged properly. My husband is a "tough" IV stick but they always get him, or call for help if they can't. Some people - at a major trauma center - kept sticking him again and again because they were too proud to ask. These guys aren't.

Not only that, we have always received competent, professional care. He has gone to the ER several times. The last time we were sent by our primary doctor for a GI bleed and they took him back almost immediately. I barely had time to get a coke from the vending machine. They ran a spectrum of tests and gave us a referral to a doctor who could "take it over".

Today he had an endoscopy for the problem. They did a phone intake yesterday, saving me TONS of paperwork. They didn't make me fill out the same form again and again. They were very nice and prompt. When he got back they treated him like he was their #1 patient (I'll remind you he's an old, crippled, guy on Medicare). They gave me all the information I needed to take care of him and gave him excellent care. We were in and out in 3 hours.

I love my husband more than anything in the world, and I only take him to Houston NW.
