Taal Vista Hotel Review

Good weekend getaway from Manila. Taal Vista probably has the best views - really enjoyed our pre-dinner drinks while watching the sunset every evening... the cocktails are made very well, quality liqueurs and properly mixed. Liked that Sky Ranch is walking distance for a quick trip.

Buffet breakfast was reasonable for the price point, but we didn't love it. My biggest disappointment was the food. Super small selection, and the quality wasn't good. Had the burger, pizza, club sandwich - surprisingly bad.

Would I go back? Absolutley. The best views and drinks - worth it. Just avoid the western food.

Enjoyed our brief overnight stay on Holy Thursday. The new rooms at the lake wing are clean and comfy. Prefer to have all Filipino dinner buffet dishes. The deserts like espasol, bibingka, fresh fruits were yummy.

The rooms here are spacious and clean. A room for 2 includes a breakfast buffet.

Nice place, service but confirm there is ghost and a lot of them but they are nice.

The concrete barriers at the overlooking are still there that i remember when I was a child. Telecope still there. Would love to stay overnight next time and have a relaxing time

Place needs to be renovated. Carpets are old. Walls need repainting. You just see signs of ageing throughout the property. But still the best view of taal volcano.

The only luxurious hotel to stay in Tagatay, Philippines

We have been here several times but my guests were not happy with one of their staffs at the reception. We already notified verbally the management the reason why.

Very classic hotel. One of the first in tagaytay. Some rooms and hallways are outdated and needs refurbishing. Still a nice place to relax

Very good food. Generally, the hotel is at a very high level and can compete with international 5 star hotels.

Taal Vista is one of the best hotels in Tagaytay, and probably the most historic too. Rates excluded, its suites facing Taal Lake is probably the best of its kind in Tagaytay. Breakfast at this hotel is normally chaotic though. Other than that, all the other services are good. It also has covered parking. Its view of Taal Lake, the skyranch is unparalleled.

Great place to stay for business or leisure. Top rated treatment and hospitality from Manager to ordinary staff. With my sister in law, cousin, nephew and son are enjoying our stay. Thanks to Ma'am Joiada and other staff.

Good food, good location, good views. Very happy with our stay. The outsides might look old but the rooms are pleasant.

The view is extraordinary! This hotel has been around for ages, it could be a romantic destination, a venue for meditation or a place to spend time with your family. If you've nothing planned for the night, you can head right over to their lounge and listen to a live band while having wine, fruits or ice cream!

The ambiance is good especially if you want to just relax and have a good rest. The view is great.

Nice rooms, restaurant was too expensive for what you get, when we were there, they had a bakery that did not have the best quality pastries, do not waste your.money...great views though.

Sprawling, spacious with a majestic view of Taal Lake

Didn't book here but I stayed at the lobby and veranda/garden for a few hours. The view of Taal Volcano is the best!

Love the breakfast,very prompt courteous staff..I enjoyed the music on the lounge area.And the view of Taal lake was spectacular.

We stopped by for a light brunch. The service was impeccable and the food was good. You can also get your parking validated when you order food. It used to be Taal Vista Lodge in my youth and the changes are quite astonishing. Still one of the best places to view Taal.

Good selection of food - local, Asian or western - all very tasty. Plus the view of the lake and volcano is breathtaking. Their lobby lounge also offers a variety of yummy appetizers, cakes and coffee drinks.

It's the perfect tourist point Tagaytay has to offer. I mean, who doesn't love playing on a hill like area within the hotel premises, having the perfect view of the Taal volcano?

Great views especially if you booked a lake side room. The ambiance is as classic as it gets, you will be entertained with a guitar trio while having your breakfast! The Filipino vibes is truly alive in this place.

This hotel has the most stunning view of Tall Lake and Taal Volcono! Staff are friendly and accommodating. Property is well kept and clean. Halo-halo at the Lounge is beyond compare! You must try it.

Long time no visit tgis cozy hotel Tasl Vista Hotel. We couldn't enjoy the view because of the foggy rainy weather but staying there is good and comfortable very much. The food they served was Delicious. ahhh but the Spa we wanted to try last night we couldn't. because only one therapist and fully booked until 1:30 am (T_T). and no convenient store near by.... which is not convenient. Anyway would like to come back during dry season.

Best place to have a selfie with Taal Volcano. Clean and nice place. Rooms look old but very clean. Food is great and staff are nice. Maybe pricy for average travelers but worth it. A must for first timers. Surely will come back. Complete facilities.

Their premiere room that has a balcony and a fantaatic view of taal volcano/lake is the best. The one good thing about this place is its accesibility to Sky Ranch...a mere walking distance. Too bad guests of the hotel that go to Sky Ranch has no discount at the rides. Staffs are friendly, beds are cozy and best of all, the breakfast overlooking the lake is superb. A bit pricey tho...

The place is very fabulous especially the natural scenery

We make our reservation 3 weeks ago. And we arrived an hour before the the check in time. They gave us the no good room thought we laid for premium room. The door lock of the door outside to the lobby not working. The vault not working. We called the customer servive 5x but no one comes. So disgusting. We not happy.

Taal Vista Lodge managed to retain the old cozy ambiance. Recently attended a summit there and the food was nice. The place can be noisy when the theme park beside it open its doors to daily patrons.

5 day stay was very nice overlooking taal volcano and accomodation, food was exceptional...

Lake Wing rooms are a must but the Mountain Wing is undergoing a major renovation now to become competitive.

The service is not upto the standards. The operator does not even know the room number when you called for assistance. There is no proper greetings on the telephone as well. We booked a 2bedroom suite and requested for additional toiletries since we were 3 adults and 2 kids occupying the suite. The additional toiletries were handed to us in a plastic bag without even setting up in the bathroom. We called for engineering assistance, waited like 10 minutes or so then we received a call from the operator re-confirming if we still require assistance?! Then waited another 5 minutes before he could finally help us!!!. The breakfast spread was not very rich and the juices really tastes bad! Its worse than those in the tetra pack!

Experienced dining here for lunch. Their buffet selection is quite limited compared to other buffet dining restaurants but they have a great selection. I specially liked the grilling station and the desserts corner. They also feature a cultural show which makes the dining experience very entertaining and informative. Overall, it's a two thumbs up.

We had a pleasant stay in here. Hotel is stunningly clean. The room we stayed in had a great view of the lake. Although at night time it was pretty windy.

Great view of Taal, just a stone throw away from Sky Ranch. Accessible to public transport when you don't feel like driving. Dining experience is impeccable. Overall, the hotel has that timeless feel with a modern flavor.

Staff did not let us check in because they said the person we were sharing the room with checked in earlier. We waited and waited until sorted out. It was embarrassing since staff insisted that someone already checked in. They didn't check, they just said the other person checked in.

After a while, they gave in and checked their system, saw that no one checked in and gave us the key.

AC was leaking. We called housekeeping and they came after a few hours.
