A very nice hotel that I can recommend to everyone. Very clean, good food.

I very much enjoyed staying here. Note, room labeled Lake Wing does not necessarily mean that you have a lake view. This sprawling hotel has a nice outdoor pool, gym, restaurants, comfortable rooms, and extremely professional and friendly staff. The concierge was very helpful in assisting our travels around the area. It has a casino and a small theme park in walking distance. The breakfast buffet is fantastic and cultural show during lunch time is delightful.

I ( being Filipino) the local cuisine was medium quality delightful for the most part comforting. The dinner Buffett was a bit $$ 30 U.S. compared with local restaurants. But be aware the American menu is subpar ie: sandwiches, especially pizza not palatable. Amenities gym, non heated pool were standard quality and game room was not available, looked like it was used for storage of mattresses and office junk. Their kids playroom looked nice though. Our room was on the Mountain view side 300 level. It was noisy right above our room noisy with rolling carts and banging until around 11pm.and started again at 6:30 am. However, the bathroom nicely updated and clean.Bedding fresh with each turnover 4 day stay good job here. The facility lobby , Veranda nice view with some live music evening. View of Taal outdoor observation area beautiful. Now the not so good thing service at the Veranda lounge was really horrible. Our family of 4 had ordered burger, club, turkey sandwhich and plate of Pancit. Each of us got our order delivered every 15 min. By the time the pancit arrived it was 45 min we were all done. We opted not to order dessert because we noticed our waiter transferred 5 chocolate slices with his bare hands from the glass case to individual plates for another party. Yucky. The wait staff lacked coordination and most of all team effort as we saw him/her struggle while other staff didn't recognize the situation? I believe they miss the point altogether. Waiters would get way more tips and better reviews if they provided timely good service to all. I had observed many guests frustrated and leave the area. My parents and family reserved two premium lake view room for two nights for the last weekend of May for a pleasure stay as my wife and i are visiting from New York. Overall, i cannot be more pleased with this hotel as it had exceeded all of my expectations. From cleanliness and spacious rooms to great breakfast buffet and well maintained grounds and facilities made our stay very pleasant. But the most exceptional experience about this hotel came from guest services by the hotel staffs. Their attentiveness and service to hotel guests were impeccable!!
I believe this is what sets this hotel a part from any hotel in Philippines. One particular name i remember is Glen from concierge, who was so helpful, friendly and always had a nice smile. Truly, person like this represents great image about the hotel and a Philippine. On the other hand Omelet lady in the morning buffet and cocktail lady in the lobby lounge looked very unhappy with their jobs as they carried absolutely no smile. Cocktail waitress was not attentive to us at all as we had to request for service number of times in ordering drinks. We have provided this feedback to young manager during our check out. Overall, if i had to grade our stay at at Taal Vista it would be 99%.. Our elderly parents who lives in Philippine feels the same way and their opinions are important to us. Normally,I do not like to write the review when my stay is "ok or good" but our stay was truly amazing and will recommend this hotel to our friends, relatives and future guests who may read this review. We, certainly, will be coming back to this hotel on our next visit and will bring our parents and relatives as well . Thanks to all the staff who have accommodated our stay such a memorable experience !!!

Recently renovated. One of the first major hotels in Tagaytay. It gets pretty crowded at breakfast so go early

Poor customer service!!!! I wanted a room near the pool and they gave me the farthest one. I was with my 9 year old daughter who eats so little and they charged her PhP500 in breakfast buffet! I was beyond disappointed! No golf cart. No shuttle service from the rooms near sky ranch going to the pool which is located in the other end of the building!

we had our year end party at taal vista hotel recently 12/1 and i enjoyed the place, especially the view, the food, cozy and relaxing ambience, clean and yet a true vintage style. one thing i did not like were the staff. they were not properly oriented. we asked something about the buffet and we got different response from them. second, nobody served water that night. i cannot stand up coz we are a big crowd with the program going on. im used to having water served at my table especially after eating. i was thirsty going home.

We have great time because of this place .Excellent staff and view It's just Amazing !

Friendly staff, great ambience. The rooms need a bit of updating, but they are clean nevertheless. Worth the price of admission.

It's still the view of the lake and volcano that makes the stay in Taal Vista unique.

Rooms have been renovated, but just barely enough to keep them up-to-date, the building itself is not yet fully renovated, the furniture can be updated but ok. The beds are too firm, our own bed at home is more comfortable. Water pressure in the shower is low, again it is better at home. The kettle in the room residual water so I had to sterilize it first, if I wasn't feeling sick, I would not have used it but I needed to make a cup of tea.

Breakfast buffet is as expected like in previous stays, but service and table availability can be improved. I think they are understaffed because we have to wave several times before somebody comes over to assist us. We also had to share a big table with other guests.

Just like other SM-owned property, they don't really invest well on making their facilities look elegant, they still go for the basic. Maybe for the majority of customers it works fine, but those who pay attention to details may have to lower their expectations.

Very easy to find. It's beside Tagaytay Skyranch. Wifi available for guests (speed around 10mbps) and visitors (1 hour only). Food served during our lunch is sumptuous. I loved the fruits as you can really taste its freshness.Also, nice view of Taal Lake which provides a great spot for your IG photos.

Great view in premier room. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel have an access going to sky ranch.

Great location, staff was professional, and lodging was clean and comfortable. If you want a really nice suite, ask for the Bali suite.

Rooms are spacious and well maintained. Food is great and hotel staffs are corteous and hospitable. Not to mention the special live band performance at the lounge from 8pm-10pm offering a good vibe to the place.

The hotel is so situated as to give you a spectacular view of Taal which definitely offers a wonderful experience.

The view is completely amazing and there's no words to explain how beautiful this place is. The hotel is huge and the banquet halls are huge and very elegante, classy. We had a wonderful experience.

I am giving 2 star just for the location of the resort.. Staff is not punctual.. for room service you need to atleastdial 3 to 4 times.. was expecting more from this resort..

I find the place beautiful. A good place to stay for vacation. An added attraction is the Taal lake where you can view from afar. The food is great too! And the weather is great...

One of the best iconic hotel in Tagaytay. Food is superb and the view is excellent.

I like the scenery here is very beautiful, the place is also very big, the service attitude is very good, come here to suggest to get ready to return the car or drive or take the bus, no taxi can play! ! ! The hotel's car service you have to prepare for the ordinary price x3!! The small swimming pool is a bit far away. Don't try to open the balcony door at night to see the scenery outside. There are many very scary water ants on the lamp and on the wall.

Recommended. Great room and breakfast. Perfect view and just beside Skyranch.

They have the best balulo ever, very tasty, the staff also so much friendly. After the meal you can walk out to the garden with the gorgeous volcano scenery. It gets cooler in the evening so make sure you prepare your jacket.

The staff are very accommodating. The place looks amazing.

The equipment in the room is old. My room is on the first floor (it seems like four floors). The shower head is oxidized and clogged, there is very little water, and there is no hand-held shower. So it is difficult to take a shower. The scenery is good. It is said that it has been here for many years, and it is estimated that Feng Shui has been seen for decades. At ten o'clock in the evening, the lobby's cafe was so late and there was a live band. The price of the restaurant is moderate, the sandwich is three or four hundred, and the dessert tastes good.

It was a good stay. The rooms are always clean and fresh. The staff are always friendly. Breakfast was good as usual. The kids always like to get room service at night. It is good portions and tasty for them. Only one disappointment and that is they charged me in AUD even after I asked for it to be charged in pesos. They lied to me then saying itnis automatic and cant be charged in local currency. This was and is BS. They can void the transaction and then manualy charge in local currency. Foreign customers be aware charging in another currency mean you pay a lot more because of double exchange rates.

Never gets old.......keeping up with the times is just great.

We arrived before 12 midnight on April 19, 2018. The lady who work with us asked so many favor from us. She says I need to forward the confirmation email so she can move forward in getting us in. It took awhile before she moved forward. What in this world that our reservation with confirmation number didnt get in to their computer. Then after 20 minutes, she gave us the key. She assigned us to room 451 lake wing where their keys are not functioning. Don't she knows that information by looking in their computer? So we have to go back with them, which is almost a mile away from them. What frustrating was that They still afford to smile while we were in trouble getting in with the room. Oh my...Then she transferred us to room 351 lakewing and a certain Glen help us all the way to make sure we dont encounter problem. We were get in past 1 am April 20. This type of people should not be in the front desk. Shes unqualify and her behaviour on those cases are not acceptable

Beautiful hotel with a fantastic panoramic view of the volcano. Located just next to Sky Ranch, and lots of local food outlets close by. Lovely rooms and service and the breakfast spread is really delicious. Definitely one of the nicer hotels in Tagaytay.
