Recently purchased a new Civic. The night I picked it up, Lyndon went over my entire car with me and showed me all the features. Today I couldn't remember how to connect my Android phone to the system. I stopped by stokes and in about 10 seconds it was Lyndon to the rescue. I was connected up and on my wsy. Having had a bad experience here back in '08, I was hesitant to go here but I wanted to get out of my Toyota corolla and back into an suv. I saw a used one online with low mileage at an affordable price. I had no problems with the salesman Justin..him and my crv r the only positive things I will say about this dealership. Having previously dealt with Stokes Kia and Rick Hendrick Toyota north...I'd have to say Stokes Honda North wasn't as over the top. Amy the finance mgr. was nice enough but coerced me into buying gap ins. I tried to cancel a few days later and she was very rude and curt and made me wait and the paper she gave me to sign didn't even have the dealers name on it or any details on my car/mileage, etc. I knew this paper would get lost. She tried to tell me it would take 3 mos to get my load reduced for $800...the cost of this ins. The contract itself said to contact them if I hadn't heard anything in 3-4 weeks. When I tried to contact her all I got was a full mailbox and I contacted the general mgr. He had a Mandy call me, but she never would return my calls and left no answers in her voicemail to me. I called the Gap company and they had never received the paper to cancel this coverage, but said they would proceed if I faxed them a letter, mileage statement, copy of sales, etc. I had to take an afternoon off work and pay $11 for a place to fax this for me. It seems the dealer was just trying to get some money out of this deal if enough time went by. I didn't even owe that much over the vehicles worth and after research it seems car insurance companies offer gap coverage for as low as $25 over your regular insurance. I feel I was disrespected and inconvenienced, and at this point don't kow if I want to bring my crv here for servicing even though it is so close to my home. The buck doesn't stop with the actual sale, it's a total picture..before and after the sale?
Update 9/18: My issue has been resolved, thank you and I can now fully enjoy my Honda CRV...which is a great suv!
Alex took the time to listen to me and explain all the features of my new CRV. I will recommend the dealership to my friends and will look there first for my next vehicle. I feel that I got a deal that was fair to both parties.

Our family went to Stokes looking for our daughters first car, we needed something affordable and reliable and knew Honda would be the best place to achieve that goal. Within a few hours our sales rep had found the perfect fit, a used Pilot. After we gave the car to our daughter one of the service techs at Stokes Honda North was nice enough to spend a few minutes explaining all the features of the car to her, it was her 16th birthday. Since the purchase, I get reminder emails to me keep the car serviced which helps a lot when you have a busy schedule. The car runs great and she loves it. Her softball team mates call her "Honda Pilot." The entire process was fast, easy, and efficient. I will defiantly be back for my next car in the future!
Excellent service department, work was done professionally without undue delay. Service advisor Ms. McClellan was superb in explaining everything to me and keeping me abreast of progress. I was not surprised, my experience with their sales staff was excellent, and now their service staff has proven itself to be superior as well.

Had an oil change scheduled at 8:15, 10:00 they tell me they are running behind, it would be another 20-30 before they started on it. I told them not to worry about it I just didn t have time anymore, they went to get it but it was being worked on, so it should be 10-15 min now. 10:25 service report from the multi point inspection, declined I don t have time. Ok we should have it pulled out front and ready for you in there next 5 min. 10:45 I finally get to leave.... 2 hours and 30 min for an oil change with an appointment. Staff was friendly but come on guys.
Didn t even reset the computer, still says I need an oil change... your better than this.
Terrible service after the sale. Buyer beware. I have been try for a month to get my new Honda serviced. When I go there they tell me they already booked for they day. Fine I get that so can I make an appointment?? No sorry you can't. So it's like groundhog day. Can't make an appointment and they to busy to see me. Last car I'll ever purchase from them. Horrible way to treat you after the sale. It's an oil change for God's sake. Stokes Honda shame on you!!

Yesterday morning I had a appointment at Stokes Honda for a warning about an airbag. After an hour or so Heather walked up to explain my cv joints were leaking .Well this a shock.My Accord had over 50000 miles. The mechanic showed me the problem.Heather thankfully let me know this was under warranty and the mechanic would make the necessary repairs. I just won't to let Stokes Honda know if you have a problem or question about your Honda Heather will do her best to help. I can't remember the name of the mechanic who found the problem and made the repair but I won't to thank him.Heather and the mechanic are both consummate professionals in the Service Department. I have been calling the service department trying to set up an appointment for my 2017 Honda Accord. First call they put me on hold then they just hunged up. Second call they passed me to different departments and put me on hold for a long time. They never answered my call. Very disappointing. I dont think i can recommend this company to anyone. Horrible service

went there to look at a 2001 Toyota Prius with 114K. i have never bought a car before but i am in sales and i knew exactly what i wanted. the car was great but WAY overpriced, nada value 5,700 (approx.) trying to sell it to me for 8600. talked them down to 7700. tried to give me a trade in value on my car of 300. then raised it to 900. (i have an older kia but it has 4 new wheel, all new belts, new battery, working AC, power locks, power windows, cruise control, etc)
i was lucky and got financing from my bank and a low interest rate. the financer guy at Stokes kept trying to get me to go with him. and sales guy treated me like i was a stupid little girl.
it was a terrible experience. i finally said i want the keys to my kia back and im leaving. took them thirty minutes to bring my car "around" front. wtf. had to go in twice and ask were it was. sales manager kept trying to talk to me even after i firmly, but nicely said i am NOT INTERESTED.
i finally left and went to Altman Suzuki on Remount Rd, what a difference! wonderful people there, nice, friendly, non-pushy, respected the fact that i was going with my bank for financing.
bought a nice used car with only 70K and still under warranty for $100 over NADA Value.
moral of the story:
Stokes=bad news and pushy people and over priced cars Altman Suzuki= great service, friendly, non-pushy, and really good prices.
I recently purchased a Honda CRV at Stokes Honda. I must tell you I have purchased several cars in the past, all of which were most stressful. However, the day I arrived at Stokes , we were met by Garfield Bowman outside, as we parked the car. Garfield walked up to us, gave us a warm greeting and asked how he could be of help. He set the tone for a perfectly seamless and easy experience o learn of the new 2020 Honda. With every question he was asked, he answered with extreme knowledge. He respected my knowledge of a Honda CRV, as I had been a current owner. He offered examples to our questions, gave us information we were pleased to receive. We took up a great deal of his time, asking several questions of importance. Garfield was so very patient and again, did not pressure us at all. I am most grateful to him for all of his help. I have since been in contact with him as to how to purchase seat covers and for financial payoff information. I have tried for weeks to get in touch with Honda Financial. Impossible to speak to a person. Garfield was aware of policy regarding my question. I remain thankful and privileged to have met Garfield. He is a wonderful asset to Stokes Honda. I will continue to go to him first for any and all direction and/ or purchases in the future. Thank you so very much, Garfield!

I needed a headlight, rear wiper and air filter. All were installed without labor charges and were the same price as the auto parts stores. In and out in 20 minutes with friendly service too. I really appreciate the service department's later hours for these minor maintenance items.

I went to Stokes Honda North service department to have a door problem fixed on my 2007 Honda Odyssey. The passenger side sliding door was stuck closed and would not open (due to either a broken latch or broken cable). I and my father-in-law had tried to get into the door ourselves in order to release the latch manually, but with the door closed, getting the interior trim panel off is nearly impossible (so we weren't able to get in and release the latch). We were pulling on the panel so hard in so many places that we thought we were going to break the panel, so I just broke down and took it to the dealer instead (I'd rather they break it than me). I called about three times before I took the van into them (to ask various questions, and finally setup my appointment), and everyone that answered the phone was super helpful, professional, and friendly. I scheduled an appointment for the same day at 4:30pm on a Monday (this was about 12:30pm when I called). When I got there, I was greeted by Nicholas. A lady walked up (Anslee) and she knew all about my appointment and trouble (Oh, you're the customer with the door that's stuck shut?). Nicholas was my case worker and is VERY profressional and friendly. It took them about 45 minutes to get to looking at my van (no worries, they might be the busiest service department I've ever seen). The service tech manager (??) - young guy, good attitude, very profressional, spoke honestly - called me and Nick over to explain what was wrong. Essentially they had also tried to get into the door and reach the same conclusion - without some herculean effort, that panel was not going to come off. I gave them the OK to do their best and try harder (even if it meant breaking the panel). The suspected defective part was not in stock, so they'd have to order it anyway. I said go ahead and do all of that and let me know when it's fixed. They gave me a worst case estimate of $450-$500 if they had to replace the panel, but only about $250 if they could fix it without breaking the panel. Oh, one of their finance officers approached me to ask me a question (he thoght I was the husband of one of their other customers). When he realized I wasn't who he thought I was, he chuckled about it and just had a good attitude in general. Everybody there seemed to be moving with intent (not rushing) but were very polite. We left and it was maybe 6:30pm (a quick visit if you ask me!). They called us back Tuesday before lunch and said they were able to get into the door without breaking the panel, and that only a cable needed to be replaced. The same estimate of $250-ish was given. They called us back Wednesday morning as the door had been fixed (it was now opening again!). Total cost was $260 and change for the part and 2 hours of labor. Wow, $260 for a dealership repair - that's cheap! We went and picked it up that night. Again, I was greeted by Nicholas. He explained everything that was done and reviewed the invoice with me. I also bumped into the tech manager again, and he explained everything they did to fix it (in pretty deep technical detail). All in all, there is literally NOTHING I can ding them for. I'd give them 10 stars if I could. Everybody we interfaced with was helpful, patient, polite and freindly, courteous, and above all else exemplary profressionals (especially Nick!). Service was faster than expected, they didn't BS me, and the price was right. I'll certainly be going back there in the future should I have other problems with my vehicle.
I purchased a new Honda CRV from Stokes Honda. I worked with Francis who was my favorite salesman I have EVER worked with in a car purchase. Everything went so smooth. No haggling or back and forth on pricing, when I arrived Francis had car filled with gas, detailed (even though new), went over everything in the car, set up my Apple car play...Honestly, I can't say enough about my car buying experience with Stokes Honda and with Francis.
