The worst experience I've EVER had with any Honda dealership which is shocking because Honda typically has wonderful customer service. I took my vehicle to be serviced, and my intentions were to utilize the service plan that was purchased when I bought my car. When I purchased my vehicle I was advised that ANY Honda dealer would honor my service plan. Apparently, that is not the case with Stokes Honda, which is fine but the service center representative (Joey) was extremely rude with how he handled the situation. I advised him that I have a service plan on my vehicle that should cover the services that I requested that day and that every other dealership I've taken it to verifies by the VIN number. Initially, he stated that he just needed to contact my home dealership and verify the plan so I gave him the number to the dealership, my salespersons full name, and the date I purchased my vehicle. He verifies that I have a service plan with my home dealership then proceeds to tell me, "You have to take your car to Hendrick Honda...". We were also accused of agreeing to the services and their fees before the services were rendered (completely untrue as I have a SERVICE PLAN, therefore, I should not be coming out of pocket for routine oil changes and tire rotations). I grew frustrated with Joey's terrible customer service and ever changing stories and requested to speak with a manager. The manager (didn't catch his name, but thanks!) was very pleasant and did inform me that Stokes apparently has their own service plans that have to be purchased and utilized. I explained my situation.. he completely understood and waived the charges for the misunderstanding. I planned on visiting Stokes later this year to trade my vehicle in, however, I think I'll take Joey's advice and visit Hendrick Honda. Stokes is closer to my home which is why I was trying to give them a chance, but they failed. Hendrick has wonderful customer service and they honor my service plan like every other Honda dealer so it will definitely be worth the drive for me. Beware good people!
Please ask for Garfield Bowman and his supervisor, Gary Fuller for your next car purchase as they will do all they can for you as they did for me this year!! And give you more for your trade as well!! We will go back for sure Thanks guys!!

Our rear passenger van door quit working last week in the cold rainy weather. I called Raymond and he immediately worked me in to have the van evaluated. The part was in stock and just a few hours later the van was able to be picked up (they even got the oil changed the same day so I would not have to come back in a week!). I was informed of the needed work prior to it being done. The work was done in a timely manner. Thanks!
I always come to Stokes. They are great .Saw a fuel leak on the engine and recommended I go directly to my dealership and urged me not to take a trip the next day for safety reasons. They were honest and are always nice. Free rides to where you need to go so you don't have to wait there. Angelo is the guy who picks you up and he is absolutely the sweetest man alive!

Hands down, *the best dealership* in the greater Charleston area! I went to four different dealerships and after visiting Stokes Honda in North Charleston, there was no reason whatsoever to go anywhere else. No smarmy sales guy trying to pressure you into buying a car that you don't necessarily need or want. These people are 100% committed to total customer satisfaction. And no one knows customer service like Kathleen Fechter. This woman is a dynamo workhorse that invests in you the moment she shakes your hand. She is genuinely dedicated to doing all she can to ensure that you are well informed and find a vehicle that is best for you!! I've been in customer service for 30+ years and have extremely high expectations. I assure you that they were well exceeded. Stokes Honda, Kathleen Fechter, along with her colleagues Perry and Stomi are the ones by which all others should be measured. You'd be a fool to not go there!!!
Kathleen was very helpful in helping me set my Google g-mail password. Also, my service department experience was very satisfying, in that the jobs (oil change and safety recall resolution), were done properly, and took less time than I had expected. So for sales, I highly recommend Kathleen; and for service, I highly recommend Stokes Honda North. And more recently (this is an update as of 6 June 2018), Kathleen was extremely knowledgeable in demonstrating the Honda products and how the systems operated. She has my stamp of approval for being outstanding in every way.
A good job considering how crowded the dealership was on a Tuesday. My appointment was at 11:00, and I did have to wait over an hour and a half for an oil change and tire rotation. The service was very good and people were very nice, but if they added a nice touch like washing/cleaning the car it might have made the wait more worthwhile.
I was very pleased with my recent service at Stokes Honda North. I only planned to do an oil and filter change and considered using a fast oil change place nearby but was surprised to learn that the job done by real professionals at Stokes was less expensive!!! They did their usual good job and were able to get my CRV in that afternoon for service. As I waited I chatted with my salesperson Kathleen and another salesman, Francis---they all demonstrate the winning team spirit and made the visit feel like I was visiting family!
5 stars all the way. The whole staff was extremely helpful. AJ was great. He helped me and my wife to get new vehicles in the past year, definitely the man to go to.
***Update: Be careful when you buy a certified used Honda. The owners manual is/was no where to be found! It is a great way to sell maintenance you do not need! My car did not come with the owners manual and they will charge you $65 for one. Dropped another star. Overall not happy with this dealership at this point.***
Excellent customer service! PJ my salesman was very well mannered, polite, and most of all not pushy! The Middle man who works in the glass room is difficult to negotiate with as all car sales middle men are lol. The reason I did not give Stokes Honda 4 stars is because they pulled the old bait and switch on me. The advertised price for the vehicle was $16,900, so I assumed that would be the starting negotiating price. They added $1500 dollars onto the price becuase it was a certified Honda. They should have told me that up front. So watch out for the bait and switch if it is a certified vehicle. Fortunately they saved face with me by getting me a lower interest rate then the pre-approval rate I had with my bank. The finance woman really went to bat for me as my credit was fair. Otherwise it would have been 3 stars. Overall the car was immaculate inside and out and the experience was mostly positive other than the price switch which all dealers do in some form or fashion. Also if you are planning on buying a Civic or CRV with the 1.5 turbo engine run away!!! These engines have serious oil blow by issues and I recommend staying away from them. Honda has a recall in place that is more like a bandaid. It is just a software update to a problem that is mechanical. The base 2.0 non turbo engine as far as I know has no issues. I have always had great luck with Honda but even great reliable car company s as we all know have their issues sometimes.
We received a call for a recall and the shuttle service was offered so I didn't have to wait for 2 or more hours while the fuel pump was installed in my 2006 Odyssey. While in the shop the technician checked over the car and noted that the seat belt light wouldn't go off, which was under warranty and ordered a replacement part(who knew?!...pleasant surprise!) We were also informed that our battery was on it's way out- I was happy to have that installed and notified before it went dead and stranded us somewhere. Everyone in the service department and Glen the Technician were super knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. The courtesy shuttle driver was nice, professional and prompt. 5 stars!

My husband received a phone call last week informing him that Stokes was offering a special for 125% of Kelly Blue Book Value on trade ins. We decided to take both of our current vehicles in to have them appraised in order to trade them in on a new vehicle.
When we arrived at the dealership, we sat down with the salesman (Samuel) and discussed the remaining balances on our vehicles. As they were appraising my car, my husband and I test drove a 2016 Honda HRV and were very pleased with the vehicle. We were prepared to purchase the car if the financial numbers worked out in our favor. We let Samuel know that we wanted to move forward with looking at numbers, but my husband needed to get back to work (He is a mobile employee, so he went outside to his work vehicle in the parking lot to make some phone calls), so I would be the one going over the numbers with the dealership.
Another employee came over to discuss the financial information and asked me where my husband was. let him know that my husband stepped out and that I would be discussing the trade in values and cost of the new car with him and he seemed very hesitant to go over the information with me without my husband present. When he presented me the trade in values for our vehicles, the numbers he gave me were well below even 100% of the Kelly Blue Book value on each of our vehicles. They insisted that they "stretched the numbers" as much as they could for our trade in, but clearly they were not honoring the special trade in incentives that were discussed with my husband on the phone or advertised through radio and online. After he finished going over the information, I let him know that I wanted to go out to the parking lot and go over the information with my husband so we could make a decision. The employee then said, "why don't you just bring your husband in here so we can discuss it?." I felt very inadequate at that point, and it was clear to me that the employee didn't feel that I was able to make decisions on my own. Even though it was not directly said, it was implied that my husband needed to be the one to make financial decisions for us. I felt discriminated against for being a female and it left a very poor taste in my mouth. When I told my husband what happened, he went inside the dealership, asked for my car keys, and we left.
My husband emailed the dealership yesterday to let them know about our experience and he received a response from Travis Westbury today. He attempted to justify their behavior by stating that both parties needed to be available when discussing credit situations (we were not talking about credit- just pricing), and that appraisals can differ from one person to another. He chalked the experience up to a "misunderstanding" and did not show any remorse or empathy for the situation. Needless to say we will never purchase a vehicle from this dealership due to the unprofessional and downright sexist actions of its employee.
I had a scheduled appointment yesterday for our Honda Ridgeline. As soon as I pulled in, a representative named Penny motioned that they would be right with me. I got out of my vehicle and was immediately taken care of. Penny walked around the truck with me and asked me specifically what was needing to be addressed? She listened and made sure I was respectfully taken care of. I am not one to normally place reviews but felt so few people make positive reviews so felt compelled to do so. In addition, the gentleman who addressed our problem came to me once I was ready to leave and explained exactly what he did to fix the problem! Very impressed! Would highly reccomend getting your Honda serviced here! Thank you so much!

This dealership management needs to learn that there are customers around them. If they are going to use fowl language in an office that is open to customers ears and people are always paying attention. Also I would never buy a car here with the way that one of the managers treated their employees. I would have told him I quit if he spoke to me the way he did one of the salesmen. He flat out asked about if a customer got the insurance for the car he sold and then was told no. If I am purchasing a car and I don t want something the salemen shouldn t get scolded for something I didn t want. The management here appalles me to no end just from what I witnessed in an hour of sitting waiting for my car to be serviced. No one should be treated in such a poor manner.
Great. Staff is friendly & courteous. They explain everything, and show diagrams of what they are explaining. There is coffee and other complimentary beverages there. Informed of how long you will have to wait. I would recommend this place to griends and family !!! :-)
3 days after buying my car my tire pressure indicator came on so I called the dealership. I was told to schedule an appointment to bring it in and it would be a 15 minute fix. I made an appointment for 415p. I was running a few minutes late and signed the car in at 420p. At 515p when I was still sitting in the waiting area I decided to check the status of my car. As I was speaking to the person regarding the status I see that my car is just being started and backing up. I questioned why it was taking so long and was told they were running behind. When I asked why I was not advised of this when I came and could have made other arrangements I was then rudely advised by another person that they were 2 people short in the back. I asked why with an appointment scheduled at 415p was my car not even being started to be looked at until 515p. I work for a doctors office so I understand about running behind and the fact that the back was short staffed should have heightened the front office to advise their clients of the wait. I had already been sitting in the waiting room for an hour at this point, did my time not matter? Just because you are running behind doesn't mean my time is any less valuable. Then I got into a very rude discussion regarding waiting times with the same 2nd agent. My car indeed was fixed within 15 minutes but with traffic I was now running late.
I was very offended by the way that I was spoken to regarding questioning that amount of time it took to get my car even into the shop and that they were not even triaging the vehicles that were being brought in. I understand that everyone else's time is just as important as mine but an appointment should come before a walk in. The only reason I will go back is because my car is under warranty and it is the only honda dealership in the area.
