This hotel is very conveniently right at terminal 5. Comfortable and very quiet rooms, breakfast like no other. Highly recommend if you have to stay the night at Heathrow

Perfect price and perfect experience
Service was perfect and the room was perfect. Everything was just right
Convenient location in the airport. Nice afternoon tea as well.
Modern hotel with good service. Surprisingly quiet because of special soundproof windows. Very smooth direct connection with Terminal 5 and 4 minutes train to Terminals 2,3.
Very nice hotel, I enjoyed my stay quite a bit. The rooms are spacious and the bathrooms was very elegant. The hotel has decent amenities with a gym and sauna(I think it's extra) as well as a restaurant and a bar. If I ever need a hotel in the area this will be my top pick.
The rooms are wonderful and every member of staff that I interacted with were equally fantastic.
I attended a business meeting at the cafe. Lovely setting but not much in the way of options for tea. Great service though and i would highly recommend it for anyone wishing to meet in a handy location.
We needed to stay near Heathrow Airport prior to catching a flight the following day. The location of the Sofitel made it particularly convenient for a T5 departure. The fact that we could walk to the terminal from the hotel meant we could relax, knowing that it would take only 10 minutes to get to the check-in and no waiting around for buses or expensive taxis.
The room was as described with all the amenities and the bed and linen were most comfortable. Although right on the airport, there was no aircraft noise in the room. We didn't eat at the hotel, so I can't comment on the food.
The public areas looked very pleasant.
Lovely hotel with amazing facilities and a fantastic parking option under the building
The Sofitel is a close location and yet a difficult location to manage to get to, if you arrive from EU to any other terminal beside #5 as we do from the EU. It is tiring and sadly many staff at Heathrow do not know of the Sofitel hotel nor can they direct you, even though it has been there or some 20 years. After walking through the underground and long dirty halls under terminals to rush and then wait 15 minutes for the next Heathrow express to terminal 5 UGH! Hotel : the decor has never changed and is getting tired. A good business hotel, but not great if your on leisure trip, one can feel very out of place. And the spa is of no help as usually booked.
Though very professional front desk staff and each multi lingual. I have stayed there not 3 - 4 times this past year and yet I am a stranger each time ai arrive - not great. Sadly this last time I was offered a room upgrade for a cost of additional 140pounds and then given in a terribly depressing suite with a view of a roof and air-conditioners! I immediately had the bellman advise the front desk to find me another room. it was done thankfully and much better suit. Yet the fact they were happy to dump a return client and Sofitel member into a dump and charge me more without a thought. Sorry but I will enjoy my central hotels from now on even for one night. Or happy to give my business to other nearby airport hotels. Sorry sadly I shall not speak well of this hotel group.
Easy walk to and from the air port makes for as easy overnight stay
Only an overnight stop but the room was nice, staff were efficient and it is incredibly convenient to Heathrow T5.
Excellent hotel, only issue was allocated room was not made up, and I had to wait 20 minutes for a room change to a clean room.
Great hotel, supportive staff, effective soundproofing from airport noise. 5 mins walk to LHR T5 via connecting corridors.
Great place to stay if you are flying out of Heathrow terminal 5. Easy access to the terminal via the connecting walkway. Could not fault the room, service or food all of the highest standards.
I order a a van to pick us up at 6pm. The phone rang in our room and woke us all up at 5:45m to tell us our van was waiting. The man apologized, but we had a long international flight (London-Bangkok), and did not get enough sleep.
Excellent - hotel has everything you need without taking a bus or taxi off-property.
Wonderful hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful, a very relaxing stay.
Easy to get confused if one is new to the place but I feel I know my way around having stayed two or three times. Staff try to be very helpful. I really like the restaurant. Some difficulty in getting and printing out my boarding pass. Eventually successful thanks to a hotel stall member but the process could have been easier.
TV was SD only and had limited channels and functionality. Window with no view and long walk to the terminal.
Comfortable and well appointed room. Excellent food and great service. For a few days in London use of this Hotel together with the Heathrow Express (booked in advance) makes life very easy when flying in and out from Heathrow. Ideal stopover when traveling elsewhere.
From entry to exit the staff are just absolutely amazing and I can not think of a more pleasant experience at a hotel in years. The room was absolutely amazing and very spacious as well not to mention I was upgraded for no particular reason when I checked in
Excellent hotel Its location steps away from Heathrou Airport, London, makes it an interesting attraction for the traveler who has little time. The services offered are first line. Staff extremely cordial and attentive to the needs of the guests. Excellent price-quality ratio.
Staff were excellent & nothing was to much trouble. Room was good & very clean. However, the carpet had a lot of marks & stains & generally looked a little tired. Rest of the room was great. I was under whelmed with the poor choice & quantity of the snacks & the room lacked sparkle, not as good as the similar facility at Gatwick. Did have an issue when trying to return to my car as the nobody seemed to know where the keys were. Took over 30 minutes to rectify. Overall rating very good.
Very enjoyable from start to finish. Suite was lovely, comfortable beds with quality bedding, well equipped bathrooms and amenities. Club Lounge was great and Vivre restaurant provided a wonderful meal
Great service, friendly staff and perfect location for T5
Highly appointed airport hotel. Amazing facilities and food as well.
Well presented contemporary rooms, good food and service despite this being a busy hotel
Lovely spacious Room very helpful polite staff. Great breakfast. The only choice when flying out of terminal 5.
I was delightfully surprised by the modern look and extremely helpful employees. Even though I was exhausted from traveling everything was streamlined so that I easily found everything I needed.
Don t make a mistake they will make you purchase another test kit.
Very very comfortable and luxurious hotel, it looks very impressive the moment you pull up and the rooms are absolutely fantastic, you get it for a warm welcome from the hotel staff and nothing is definitely too much trouble
If you are user of the gym in these current times you need to queue with all the guests checking in to get the gym key card which is a bit of a pain, especially when you get crazy people checking in taking forever it seems like you re standing there for ever to use the gym
The restaurant is average the food is not that bad but I wasn t particularly a fan of the eggs they smelled like someone have been sick on them and they made me feel sick so personally I avoided the eggs, Also for a five star luxury hotel when I order porridge I don t expect to get a pot porridge porridge from quaker which you can get in Tesco s for a pound for six, And then proceed to be charged 15 pounds for breakfast
The only two things that are outstanding in this hotel is the steak and pizza, they are incredibly nice I recommend you try them it doesn t matter which one you get
The gym is reasonable but a peak times I imagine it would get unusually busy, you get a Zen garden which is very nice if you re into meditating it a empty most of the time so you can do a bit of rest and relaxation if you find
The rooms are a little peculiar to find the higher the number of your room the further towards the gym signs you need to go, and it s divided up into wings kind a like a hospital with wards.
Overall I m quite satisfactory happy with my stay, It is a five-star hotel but certain parts of it don t feel like a five-star hotel
It s extremely handy if you re flying out to terminal five or you just wanna pop across and have a look around in the evening
Lovely hotel, very modern. Staff are very friendly and helpful, restaurants serve lovely food, and service is great. Had one issue with billing, but this was investigated and resolved very quickly. Definitely will use this hotel again, when travelling through Heathrow.
Excellent room & staff. Disappointing room service breakfast - croc monsieur was unfortunately fairly inedible (e.g. bread not toasted) and pool was closed at 8.15pm, other than that everything was great. Really great rooms & staff are all lovely. This is my favourite hotel to stay in when flying from Heathrow.
Very good. Food in restaurant in evening & breakfast in exec club was lovely. Ideal location for Heathrow
Comfortable, clean and surprisingly quite for an airport hotel. Had a good night sleep. A number of restaurants for dinner options and our experience was agreeable.
The hotel was nice, but I think my timing was just off with the construction going on. I had a few issues with my safe not working (it was fixed promptly, however), and I had requested non-down filled bedding but it was never delivered, and the water in the bathroom never really got hot (so my showers were a bit chilly). The room itself was spacious and clean and lovely... just those little issues. I did pay for the room with rewards points, so it's fine. The location is perfect, though. Overall, it's a nice hotel, and I'm sure if I had asked again the other issues would've been fixed, but I didn't want to have to ask a bunch of times.
The hotel is absolutely perfect if you have an early flight out of terminal 5. The customer service was great, we didn't try the food since we went to Harrods food hall via tube directlyfrom terminal 5 but I heard it's not bad. The convince is great, we had a flight the next day around 3pm but we slept in til 11:30am and just casually walked towards the security for our international flight, so nice and stress free. The covered walkway is not far at all, we had two backpacks since we are light travelers.
If you are deciding where to stay near Heathrow due to an early flight use this hotel, the beds and the quietness is amazing.
Hotel was perfect for our night stay. Perfectly situated at the terminal 5.
Friendly staff and a large upgraded room really helped me sleep soundly the night before an early morning flight from Terminal 5. The staff were very professional and helpful throughout my short stay. Great selection of beers in the bar too! Would definitely stay here again if I was going from T5.
My favorite non-resort, hotel for business travel. Easy to catch flight at Heathrow airport. Walk to your flight. Especially love the lobby bar. Met some of the most interesting people in he world there.
A classy hotel and brilliant for events. I went here for a reception and the experience was electrifying.
My stay at the Sofitel was made so easy when arriving at T5 then just walk across a corridor and I was at the hotel. My flight arrived earlier than I had planned and the hotel was very accommodating in providing me a room earlier. Absolutely marvellous after weeks of travelling to be able to settle into my room. The room was amazing and the bed certainly one of the best I ever slept in
As expected, clean room, attentive staff and quite time at Millesime. Will book again......
Since this was a fast fly in fly out stop over
Arrived late at night for check in and early morning check out
The receptionist welcomed me and handled the check out transport to T3
All perfect. The best location to be able to walk to the T% of Heathrow. I think it's the best hotel for flight connections that require an overnight stay at Heathrow.
As a negative point, the quality / price ratio. It is an excessively expensive hotel.
The Sofitel Heathrow hotel has all the expectations that a business traveler can expect in hotels of its kind ... painstaking staff, personal attention, small details that make the stay in the SOFITEL HEATHROW something that you want to repeat frequently.
My most cordial congratulations.
M. Jecklin
Super cosy ,24hrs room in-dining ,amazing architecture and spacious rooms
Wont be going there again. The lady booking us in didnt explain things clearly. I wasn't impressed with the charge u pay to park car in the hotel car park. The bed was way to soft.
Beautiful room. There was no hot water for shower which was very disappointing
Very comfortable room. Enjoyable meals (dinner and breakfast) and very pleasant surroundings. Perfect start to a trip to USA with family.
Sofitel Heathrow Team - Keep up the Good work - such a lovely hotel to stay (especially with kids) Was a great experience. Highlight was the personal care give by Ms Nerissa who made sure that everything was on order before we arrived. Would stay here again without doubt when in London. Impeccable service and attentiveness to detail. Suite Perfect for families with kids. Keep up the good Work.
In spite of our reservation bring mixed up by the booking agency the people at the desk were very helpful in sorting out the problem. The room was very comfortable.
Lovely hotel. Bit of a maze finding your way around the rooms but it's easy once you figure it out. Breakfast as great as well. Hotel out lots of different food on. And the beds are amazing!!!
Fantastic location connected to Terminal 5. Everything was great.
Fabulous hotel. Staff are all incredibly lovely, helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Spent the night with grandparents and children in adjoining rooms. The rooms were comfortable and a decent size - until the extra beds turned up! But the extra beds were full single size and comfy rather than some awful lumpy sofa bed. Lovely dinner in the bar. Have only given 4 stars as the route from the hotel to the terminal is a bit convoluted, lacks signage and takes several minutes so is not as straight forward as described.
The two things I care about most when I arrive at a hotel after being stuck on a plane all day are: (1) how quickly can I get to my room and (2) how easily and quickly can I get online. In my most recent trip the Sofitel managed to fail at both in an epic fashion. And this is far from the first time this has happened.
I love the convenience of the Sofitel Heathrow, but the check in process is so horribly inefficient that it negates much of the benefit.
And since they outsourced the management of their internet access a few years ago, the internet has gotten slower and often simply won't let you login at all.
The staff are very friendly and try to make the best of a bad situation, but there is only so much they can do. When I asked the receptionist why the hotel doesn't have online check in I was told that the management considered it but decided it was too expensive to implement. This is ridiculous; you don't need to install a new room key system, just let guests check in online so that a key is waiting for the when they arrive and they don't need to do anything other than give their name and show some form of ID (a ten second process versus the current 5-10 minutes per guest).
When there is a wi-fi issue, as on my most recent trip, the staff are in a total no-win situation -- every guest in the hotel starts calling the front desk to complain (which of course makes check in even slower than it already is), and it quickly becomes impossible to reach anyone on the phone, it just rings forever. What is especially frustrating is that the wi-fi was in fact in perfect working order, the problem is in the authentication system. Internet access is a basic utility that every traveler needs in this day and age; shutting down internet access to the entire hotel is only slightly less inconvenient then turning off the power or water.
There should be a big red button that the staff can press to simply open up the wi-fi to everyone without requiring a login whenever there is a problem with the authentication system.
Lovely hotel and tranquil spa. Often stay here the night before flying so there is a relaxed start to our journey. Staff are helpful and courteous at all times, times comfortable and always a great nights sleep.
Good hotel, fairly good service. A bit expensive, but really convenient location within the airport Terminal 5
Very comfortable rooms and amazingly fast check-in, great French Resturant
Beautiful and quiet and suitable for short term stays
Conveniently attached to terminal 5, but not cheap.
A great hotel that is right in the terminal. Very friendly staff and a good restaurant. What is best of all... you don't have wrestle with these stupid hoppa busses, who ever thought of that?
Had a fabulous time. The staff made me feel like I was home.
Convenient location although the entrance to the hotel from the terminal is not as convenient. Good hotel with comfortable room. Restaurant in hotel was not as good though: high price, average food and very slow service. Staff had difficulty checking for allergens and did not know the menu.
Wonderful from check in to check out. The staff were amazing, always on hand to offer assistance and always polite and friendly. The room (upgraded, thank you!) was really comfortable and clean. The beds and pillows were particularly comfortable. Bathroom was excellent with both a shower and a bath. Food and service in the restaurant was first class. Such a pleasure to stay in a genuine 5* hotel.
A lovely stay-my second time there. A great place to be before a full day of traveling. Rooms are quiet, well stocked, and extremely comfortable. Restaurant and spa are wonderful as well.
Lovely upper class hotel but wine prices were ridiculously expensive, not sure there is any need.
Overpriced hotel with surprisingly outdated facilities
Lovely hotel close to the airport - one or two things wrong in the room made for a less pleasant experience - shower was broken so couldn't wash before flying and no time to fix
Great hotel, in a convenient location. Lots of value added features set it apart.
Extremely racist establishment. Me and my husband are in line to check in when a staff member asked him to come to priority not realizing we were in fact a couple. Once I joined him the employee looked bewildered as to why I was following him to the desk. When I handed him my passport he didn't even open it and handed it back to me before telling my husband who called the night before to confirm our suite on a high floor that the hotel was all of a sudden sold out and that our only option was a second floor room next to an elevator. After a long debate where we asked to speak to the manager this employee miraculously found a SUITE ON A HIGH FLOOR aka the one we booked and confirmed. Will never stay here again and advise all people of color to spend your money where you will be treated as human beings not trash. Reported to Expedia and they also are looking into the unfair treatment others have reported here as well. This is an airport hotel- not the ritz carlotn. All guest checking in were Indian and the employee was as well- he chose to act with hate and discriminate against me due to my skin color and overlooked the fact I stay with this chain all over the world 6 months out the year for business. Lost a customer and gained 2 million people who will read my travel blog on this place and steer clear.
