Skullcandy offers a decent product, but if you order directly from them and have a problem with any of it they won t help you. I have emailed a couple of times with no response and even left a post of their Facebook page. They didn t even reply. If you go on their page and read the visitor posts you will see far more negative experiences than positive. I wish I could give them zero stars out of 5 because they have zero customer service skills.

Amazing products and fantastic customer service. I bought a pair of earbuds over 5 years ago and when the left bud stopped working last month, they replaced them for free! Skullcandy is the best!

Skullcandy stands behind it's products and our warranty is not bound by government regulations. Proof of purchase has always been a condition of our warranty program. In the last 21 days there have been 10 warranty requests for a total of $1442 . Over the last 2 yrs there have been 40 warranty claim requests for a total of $3,147. These are extremely unusual numbers by our customer statistics. For the above reasons we will hold fast to our decision to deny any more claims. However, if proof of purchase can be provided for the dates and show they were purchased by Best Buy I will honor this claim.

I ve had 3 pairs now. Each time I send back because they don t last more than a month or so. The same thing keeps happening (stop charging all the sudden) and they keep sending me the same set. I use them to go for runs among just listing to music occasionally while doing laptop work. I can t imagine they aren t built to withstand some moderate running activities.

I had a pair that were excellent but had a battery problem after a few months and wouldn't charge anymore. They have an excellent warranty (that's free) and are replacing the product for me as we speak. Very good quality sound

My first review, (originally 5 stars ) almost a year ago said this:
I ve used Skullcandy forever and have always had great experiences, but Benji went above and beyond. No wonder Skullcandy has so many loyal customers!
Now after dealing with Josh B. in customer service, I m changing my rating to one star. He blew me off for weeks at a time and just wouldn t reply to emails. When I finally got a response, he told me to cut up my earbuds and send photos and he would process the warranty claim. (The outer cover split where the silicone piece attaches so there s no way to put it into my ear, but the sound still worked fine.) I didn t want to cut up a working pair of earbuds but Josh said if I didn t he couldn t process the warranty claim. Then (after no reply for 3 weeks) I got an email saying my original earbuds were not in stock but they d offer me a $50 credit. I paid $70 for the original pair and they don t have anything comparable on their website. Why not just tell me that in the first place instead of wasting my time for the last 2 1/2 months?!?!

Bengi at the store front is amazing! Great customer service and product knowledge. Helped me trouble shoot some issues with items I already owned and helped me with a warranty. Got the new push true wireless ear buds. They are amazing! Pry the nicest ear buds I ve ever owned. Keep it up skullcandy!

Love my skullcandy headphones. They produce great sound and are comfortable for long periods. I have worn a handful of sets out, nothing lasts forever but they have a great lifetime warranty. If they don't make the model you have anymore they give you a set of equal value. These guys really do run a great company and make an outstanding product. Thanks!

Very bad experience dealing with Skullcandy. I ordered an item on their website on October 22, 2019. Skullcandy provided me with a tracking number and informed me the item was shipped on October 24. The carrier was unable to locate the shipment and I had to get back to Skullcandy. Today, on October 30, I asked them to check the status of the shipment only to find out that the order has never been shipped and they I had to wait another week for the shipment. After I requested a refund, they immediately switched to a different version: "We shipped the item back on October 24". As of now, I received neither a refund, nor the item I paid for. Skullcandy reps have never even apologized for the inconvenience, never tried to sort out the problem. I checked some reviews online and it seems I am not the only one who faced this problem.

Zero stars. Their equipment doesn't work on my device, and their stupid packaging was such that it is impossible to open without destroying the box. As a result I couldn't get a full refund. Crooks.

Placed an order on Oct 31 for a set of wireless headphones. Hasn t shipped. I contacted their customer support on Nov 20 to see what s going on with it and they were quick to reply with a new tracking number from fedex but still hasn t left their warehouse two days after. I haven t even gotten the product yet and I m not impressed!

The crusher head phones in particular are absolutely amazing.

Absolutely hate the sports headphones. You never know when they will work and when they won t.

Have had several method wireless units stop holding charge between 1 to 20 weeks. After almost 9 warranty replacements I think it s safe to say that the method headphones are absolute garbage and skull candy is not doing anything to fix the issue.

The warranty process is not too cumbersome except for the turn around time of getting a new unit. (2-3 weeks) AND considering I have to pay for mailing the units every time they fail. My method headphones have now failed over 9 times! I have found many customers complain on blogs about the same issue.

Some representatives are very friendly and helpful where as some I have had to deal with should not be In customer service. One in particular I have had the misfortune of having to deal with multiple times, does not have an ounce of professionalism at work.

Update

The sports headphones in my experience stop working about 2 months into use. I had better support when I called the main office and had them transfer me to management after so many issues in the past. Also found out the 1800 calls go to a separate office and that maybe why some representatives are not as helpful and knowledgeable about the units.

Ultimately, After close to 15 faulty sports headphone units I purchased a pair of Bose to avoid reinventing the wheel.

I won't go anywhere else for headphones. I've had problems here and there and they always make sure I'm taken care of. Benji always makes sure I get a fair deal and that I get exactly what will work best for me.

Why I am giving this such a low rating is because the headphones worked amazing 5/5 for that standard. But they are too flimsy and fragile and one day like any other day with skull candy they were stuck. It was so hard to twist them to get them back to normal and I had to apply some pressure to get it unstuck and I twisted them and they broke! I just wish I got my money back or a new pair because its hard working for those headphones as a middle school kid.

I have had Hesh 2 earphones for about 3 months and love their sound, but I can't get them to pair up with transmitter connected to TV. I've used two different transmitters of which one paired for about 1 month and then lost signal and I can't get it to pair again. Other than that the sound is great!!

I sent back my Titan ear buds purchased on 5/12/13. They gave me a cerdit of $40. which was less then the new price of $50 on the titan with mike. I called c/s and left a msg. Chersie, a supervisor from Utah called me back, which was unexpected. I complained, she listened and said my model was discontinued. I asked where the older models are kept. I was advised There are none available, which I did not believe. She put me on hold, came back and was nice enough to upgrade me to the newer Titan. Great Job Cherise and Titan. All this was done without arguing.

I kept buying the same type of pair of skullcandy headphones, the ink'd series, and they keep breaking. I had one pair last only about a month and my latest pair lasted barely two weeks. So I will never be buying skullcandy again.

I've always been impressed with Skullcandy, but the headquarters have a great team. I went in with some issues of my headphones and Benji helped me understand what was the best for me and my needs. He was very friendly and knowledgeable while making sure the other guests in shop as well as myself were taken care of. He's super organized and keeps the shop clean and lively. I'll always be a loyal customer of Skullcandy!

They don't cover warranty on headphones unless it's related to the sound $200 for a pair of plyr 1 headphones and the plastic started cracking and coming apart after a couple months contacted them said they only cover if it's directly affecting my sound I had Logitech headphones for over 5 years before they started falling apart. Benji is amazing! He knows his inventory without having to check. He knows the details and features of every item in the store and he is approachable and very nice! As long as he is there I will happily keep coming back. Its people like him that make a great company.

SkullCandy used to be a great brand. Loved their earbuds. Recently tried to order a set of Indy's and the order was declined due to my address on the order saying DRIVE and the card saying DR. Hello, they are the same. Once the order was denied, the pending credit has sat on my card for 5 business days at this point. Different reps tell different stories on how long it will take. Do yourself a favor and save the headache. DON'T order SkullCandy!!!!

If I could give ZERO stars I would. My daughter used her birthday money to purchase headphones over $40. Within a week the headphones themselves split in half. We started the warranty process. Paid $10.64 out of our pocket to ship the package to their warranty department to start a warranty exchange claim. We mailed the package May 6th. Per UPS (because WE PAID FOR TRACKING) our package was received at the warranty facility May 11th at 2:50pm signed for by an employee CARLO at the dock. Prior to checking the tracking I followed up with Skull Candy - Eileen told me on May 22nd our package had not been received. Today may 29th I double check and find or YES- you did ---your employee named CARLO signed for our package and it was received. My daughter now a month later spent $40 to have good headphones has no headphones and no funds to replace with a different brand. BUYER BEWARE THIS COMPANY IS NOT TRUSTWORTHY AND EMPLOYEES THIEVES!!!! We have not received a response from skull candy as it's a holiday. We are extremely upset and will continue to spread the word regarding this company and their employees who are thieves. It's no wonder their disclaimer says "they are not responsible for lost packages" WHAT ABOUT PACKAGES YOUR EMPLOYEES STEAL!!!!!!!'

Our family has had Skullcandy products since their beginnings.The customer service has been nothing but the best. They have always taken care of us with all of our needs, headphones, speakers. We have a disabled son who wears the headphones just about every day and has worn them out time after time. We have tried a couple of other brands and have always gone back for the quality, and they have been so willing to take care of us. Benji, recently helped me and was a great help. He explained all the product options which is very helpful.Thank you Benji and Skullcandy for great customer care.

Skullcandy is awesome! Drove down to the Skullcandy Headquarters from Idaho and couldn't have asked for better customer service. Benji was great to work with and hooked me up with some sweet SkullCandy headphones and other apparel. Met a few other Skullcandy employees as well who were equally helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend Skullcandy! They will be the only one's I go to for future purchases. You guys are awesome!

I've been a faithful Skullcandy customer for untold years now. That said, upon my recent purchase of one of their wireless headsets, I was shocked, for the first time ever, finding only small and medium earbud sized tips enclosed leaving them practically unusable for my large ear canals.

So I called support, and experienced and warm and wonderful exchange with Sarah. She spent several minutes taking my address and assured me they would be shipping out a package with several large sized tips for my new headset. THEREIN LIES THE BAD bitsNbytes of this oversight by Skullcandy's product being shipped without the standard inclusion of all three sizes.. she informed me that it was called, exasperatingly so, a courtesy (free) order and would take two days to process at their warehouse shipping, AND THEN SEVEN TO TEN DAYS via UPS ground to arrive?!

Wait.. so I've been a faithful customer for years now.. have never ever purchased their products with a missing tip size.. YET MUST WAIT FOR WEEKS TO GET THIS.. ahem.. COURTESY ORDER TO MAKE UP FOR THEIR PRODUCTS OVERSIGHT?!

While thoroughly disappointed to hear, their version of '''courtesy''' customer service felt quite offensive; their choice of terminology did not help.

BUT WAIT.. THERE'S MUCH MORE disappointment in my story fellow Skullcandy customers! Warm rep Sarah typo-ed my address by one missing "0" of wrong APT 216.. vs my provided APT 2016? So I realized it had been weeks with no parcel, and to my dismay, upon checking the UPS tracking.. IT HAD BEEN RETURNED TO SENDER due that singular addressing error..

YOU GUESSED RIGHT heroes.. upon calling them today, that tiny package that USPS could've gotten to me 3-5 DAYS MAX beyond my July 31st order.. IS NOW GOING TO BE RESTARTED with 2 DAYS PROCESSING.. AND 7-10 MORE DAYS UPS GROUND.. I could end up waiting for even more week now for my.. '''COURTESY''' ORDER?!

I'm thinking this will be my last dollars spent on the Skullcandy brand!!!

I love skullcandy and have been buying different headphones for years and recommend the brand to family and friends. Love the style, value and warranty. Only problem someone needs to fix your hours that are posted online and mentioned on the phone recording. Supposedly the park city HQ is open until 5:30 on both the website and over the phone but today you were closed early. Not happy about that but if someone could get this fixed I'll be a happy camper :)

I ve used Skullcandy earbuds and speakers for years, but my experience this week just made me love the company more. I found time last week to come here to warranty my earbuds. One had been shorting out for a week and it made it impossible for me to listen to music or make a phone call. When I got there, I saw a sign that said the store was closed. I never have time to go to Park City so I was super disappointed when I found out I made the trip there for nothing. That s when Benji asked me if I needed anything. Benji was so helpful and not only was he so patient to answer all of my questions but he was able to help me find the perfect pair of wireless earbuds as a gift for my brother. I really appreciated him helping me out when he didn t have to, but more than that he never once made me feel like I was putting him out or being an inconvenience. This company is lucky to have such a friendly guy working for them! If you ever visit Skullcandy HQ, I encourage you to ask Benji for assistance.

People give Apple a lot of credit for their customer service and product support, but believe me they have absolutely nothing on Skullcandy; who are universally cool humans who stand behind what they sell. Hunt runs the retail shop in their HQ and might be one the best dudes in Park City. Stop in and see him!
