One of the most beautiful hotels I have been. Everything here looks so clean, polished and organized. The costumer service is literally THE BEST, I want to thank the Front desk manager Austin Wuchter who was really very professional, kind, friendly and helpful, also I want to thank the concierge Judith Romanelli, she is simply amazing, everybody here is very friendly and helpful, the rooms are incredibly beautiful and well decorated, the views from my room were STUNNING, the 2 spa located on the 2nd floor are very relaxing and enjoyable. I can't find the words to describe such a great place. I recommend once and once and once again to come to this place. I can tell you that this gonna be one of your favorite hotels. SIMPLY AMAZING. DEFINITELY I WANT TO COME BACK..
Nice place. Excellent location, right on the mountain by the lifts. The villas are extremely comfortable, feels like home.
Great location, service and amenities. Steps to gondola and chair lift.
Amazing slopeside condo at the base of the mountain, steps from lift and gondola, no lift lines during week, excellent service by resort staff. Would definitely recommend.
Hidden fees and scams! I went to book the special rate of $150 per night offered for a local athletic event. That rate didn't exist as the all in price for 2 nights was $410, a 36% up charge. There was a hidden resort charge PLUS tax on top, that the booking agent at the hotel didn't mention until I pushed back on the total price. Any hotels that charge these hidden, absorbent fees like the airlines automatically loses my business.
Went for a quick bite and some cocktails. Clean and friendly staff.
Very nice Sheraton in a sky resort. We sere there off season. It was very relaxing and nice. Try the fire pit outside for s'mores along with friends and cocktail. Perfect getaway.
Double charged my card, tied up an additional $800. My mistake of having only one account available for the weekend but nonetheless, shouldn't have happened. Was restricted to the hotel as far as purchases because they could be charged to the room, couldn't buy a lift ticket either. Because of this, they offered to buy a lift ticket for me and charge to the room. Went to go pick up the ticket, the representative and her manager couldn't find the order using my name or the reference number given by Sheraton. That's the only reason why I went to Steamboat, to ride. At this point I gave up. I wasn't looking for free stuff but anything comped would've been nice i.e. a 25$ breakfast... but I had to ask for that and felt pretty awkward doing so. They mentioned an apology but I could tell it was a formality being said. They get two stars because they did switch our room from a kitchenette to a full kitchen per our request and the newly renovated rooms are money well spent. Waiting staff is slow in the informal dining/ bar area. I'm chalking that up to being new, they had to run and verify food options. I can't be too mad because I'd rather them ask and know then just tell me no bc they're not sure. Overall, I would think about going back.
Views are breathtaking from the 7th floor! Check in was so simple, even though we had a bit of a complicated reservation, the guy at the counter acted like it was no big deal and did everything to accommodate us. Pools are nice and refreshing and the hot tub is cozy. Starbucks coffee served in the lobby in the morning and fresh water in the lobby after about 10:00. There is also a Starbucks on site for those that need their caffeine fix. We had left a note asking for extra coffee bags in the room and the maids were happy to oblige. Rooms were made up every day with fresh towels. Best part, bathrobes provided! Hotel is just close to the ski lifts but further away from downtown. Shuttle service is available.
Great location with plenty of amenities to get hotel guests both up to the top of the mountain or downtown to hang out.
Pros:
Very modern 2 bedroom with efficient use of space, nice bathrooms and comfortable beds.
Housekeeping staff was fantastic.
Kitchen was perfectly stocked and had everything you need for quick dinners and breakfast (microwave doubles as an oven). Not big enough for all meals and not enough dishes. This was perfect for us because we like to eat out.
Washer/dryer in the unit was awesome.
Loved that they provided laundry and dish detergent. Very convenient.
Right on the hill with complimentary ski storage 10 steps from ski in/ski out slopes
Complimentary hot chocolate, cookies and s mores was a nice touch... but they need to add more chocolate to the hot chocolate as it was a little watery.
Cons:
2 bedroom was Much smaller than we expected, leaving very little floor space and dining space especially if you use the pull out.
Only 3 beds, one being a pullout that seems like a double, a king and a queen. My teens don t want to sleep in same bed so I wish the second bedroom had two twins instead of one queen.
The hot tubs are way too crowded, even the one by the pool was crowded. One night there were over 20 people in each hot tub. This was really disappointing after long days of skiing. They really need to add some hot tubs for their guests.
One thing missing from the unit was a fireplace in the room. It is just awesome to relax with a fireplace.
Starwood status doesn t mean much here.
The place seems pretty nice but I had a negative experience. The hotel was empty but they put me in a room blocked by concrete so that no light could enter and then were rude when I asked if there was any way to move. They also charge extra for parking, which was not in the reservation info. If you come during the ski season, I imagine they are friendlier but this level of customer service is unacceptable.
Although it is pricy, the location is great, the rooms are beautiful, the breakfasts are very good, and the hot tub/ gym is nice
Was just ok because this was a surprise gift from my husband. First class flights, and when he booked , he asked for suite with Mountain View, fireplace , king bed. QUIET
What we got ...Functional suite, kitchen, big bath , fireplace and plenty of room.
This room should come with a LOUD music warning ...starts in afternoon runs till 8 . Right under us.
Started when lifts opened too. Screaming bass that bothered us even with everything closed . Anyway , we went out for the day after some rest , albeit lumpy saggy bed, no extra pillows or blankets . They did bring when asked.
Everything is so dusty ...drapes dust flying with open and close. Just ...not up to par . Furniture too! I ran my hand and dirt and dust. So...we tried inquiring about another room.None.
So, we just try to roll with it and enjoy ...went out came back 4 1/2 hours later tired , wanted to nap but no maid service ! We asked twice but by 4:15 we called and asked for soap and towels, made the bed ourselves ( which is no biggie) but ever since our check in yesterday it s been little things that matter. We have been told TWICE the bar staff downstairs short staffed , regarding the no show on maid service short staffed so sorry . Well, for the price , we are disappointed in service, and I thought rooms would be cleaner. ( bath room was very clean) .
We are not going to let this this ruin our getaway, but for the money , service is lacking and the room smells dusty , and is! . Next time another place , on the mountain .
The location is superb, I must say.
This place was great and had plenty of fun events to go to. LaRae was wonderful helping us check in and get settled. Our personal favorite event was the s mores on the deck. When we had questions Austin was able to help us with all of our struggles. Thanks for such a great stay!
Convenient to the mountain, great service, phenomenal accommodations
We love to stay at the Sheraton! Perfectly located & really love the amenities!
What an amazing resort! Service was outstanding the room was clean and comfortable. Will definitely be back to visit!!
The Sheraton has been great! The staff has been outstanding. The location at the ski slopes was nice even though we are here off season. There are a lot of activities here besides skiing, including a small rollercoaster, mini golf and hiking.
Beautiful, convenient and fun. Perfect place to stay
Location-wise, you can't get a better spot than the Sheraton. We stayed here on our honeymoon and enjoyed that there was a kitchenette and washer/dryer in unit and that the hotel was ski-in, ski-out. The hotel bar was also excellent.
The downsides were that our room flooded the last night we were there which put a damper on the end of our trip. They did switch our room didnt offer any credit for the inconvenience. Some of the front desk staff were great, several others were standoff-ish; definitely not the warmest in terms of staff. During COVID they arent doing any housekeeping aside from replacing towels and toiletries, so we did not have the luxury of coming back to a made bed every day, though this is probably the case at many hotels.
All in all, we'd probably stay here again for the location but might consider other options too.
The rooms and service were very nice. The kitchenette was stocked and we had everything we needed to make dinner that night. There was plenty of space and we were able to rent a movie from the TV. Very relaxing and enjoyable experience
Hidden fees and scams! I went to book the special rate of $150 per night offered for a local athletic event. That rate didn't exist as the all in price for 2 nights was $410, a 36% up charge. I talked to David the operator asking about what type of mattresses the resort uses and he was so incredibly rude to me. My family and I stayed there for TWO WEEKS. I don t think we deserve to be talked to the way we did. He kept referring me to the manager and said he could not help me. I said, All you need to do is having someone lift up the sheet and tell you what kind of mattress it is! And he kept saying, we re not staffed for that and oh well, you re going to have to wait. I can t believe the conversation I had just had with him. We won t be returning.
Can't wait to come back here. Everyone was so nice. The shuttle to town works great for us..we didn't have to drive.
Beautiful hotel. No complaints on the room. No complaints on the facility. No complaints on the staff. I did have 2 disappoints overall. One was I wish they wouldn't shine spotlights onto the balconies. It makes stargazing difficult. 2 is please clean the outside windows every once in a while. So badly stained it ruined the gigantic view you see in photos.
Very nice. They were updating while we were there. No table in the studio suite, so hard to eat in the room.
I have stayed at this hotel a few times in the past 3 years and have always been pleased, but was somewhat disappointed this time. I still enjoy the hotel and the staff but this time we were charged $15/day for self parking or $24/day for valet. I feel like the hotel should just include the extra $15/day in resort fees on my bill instead of jabbing me again with another charge. Ignorance is bliss, just include the parking fee in the cost of the room... or better yet, just provide free parking for your guests that you should value the most.
Wonderful amenities. Incredible mountain views. the hot tub and heated pool is definitely a bonus after a long day of hiking.
Disappointed pool closed construction everywhere but they don't tell you any of that when you booked the hotel.
I love love love Sheraton and Westin brands. This resort is so beautiful, the staff go above and beyond. Dorothy, Manny, Ann and the rest of the front desk staff are so pleasant and friendly. The concierge staff are so helpful, Matt is very helpful and friendly as well. Conrad and Allie in the Sales Gallery are so friendly and funny. The entire resort staff was great and very helpful. I would definitely go back with my family. The resort has an outdoor heated pool. The villas are so roomy and comfortable. It was just a perfect vacation all around.
I loved this hotel! The location is great, super close to the gondola and all the restaurants!
One of if not the best hotel in Steamboat. If you can, stay in one of the mountain side villas.
Excellent place, really close to the ski area and excellent rentals.
Outstanding service by staff, friendly team. Loved the shuttle into town and the convenience.
We had an overall good experience staying a week here. The staff was great, the location and views can t be beat! The pool reservation system had many glitches and was tedious, hopefully they can cancel this soon. It seems like they let most of their cleaning staff go as it took them 6 hours to clean a room. Plus we told them we had a kid not feeling well who was sleeping on the lodge couch and all of our luggage, groceries and medication were being stored...not cool. I d still recommend the hotel but I hope they staff up as it seemed like the hotel was pretty full.
Been coming here for years. The upgrades look great.
Sheraton Steamboat Villas staff were very friendly. We enjoyed the convenience of the free shuttle into town. Rooms were clean and bed comfortable. Beautiful mountain views, too.
Great rooms, very comfortable beds, nice balcony facing the slopes and very friendly staff. Each room has a mini fridge which was great for bringing snacks. Really easy access to the slopes and a short walk to the transit center to get the shuttle to downtown and back if you don't want to wait for the hotel shuttle. Would highly recommend this hotel!
It was a nice place to stay, but while I was there the gondolas weren't operating so there was no way to get to the top of the slopes except riding up on bike. Food pricing is pretty ridiculous but other than that concierge was great and I had a good stay.
Nice rooms with 2 star amenities. Staff is non existent. No food, bar or valet. Need reservations for the pool which is booked a week in advance and just a concrete deck. Overall not a great place to stay especially in the summer as there is nothing near the hotel
Great location, hand sanitizer everywhere. Friendly, professional employees. Comfortable rooms, strong wifi signal. In the picture, the Sheraton is on the left.
This may be one of the better hotels we've stayed at. It's newly renovated, has thoughtful touches, includes a spacious 2BR layout, high top kitchen table that seats 6 people, and great views overlooking the ski base. Everything about the stay has been great and the COVID procedures have made it feel safe as well. They are regulating the gym, pool, other areas to make sure everyone is comfortable and not spreading the virus.
Nice job again, Marriott & Sheraton!
In my opinion, this is the best place to stay in Steamboat because of its location.
Great location just steps from the lift. Swimming pool is 104 DegF and the small pool is 98 DegF. Nice modern rooms, great attentive staff.
We have always received excellent service. The location cannot be beat. The recently renovated rooms are also a welcome improvement.
Awesome staff, amazing view and lots of powder. Simply wonderful
I believe I was in the older side of the resort. Tale of Two Cities. The staff was great. Food was great. Will get back but hope I'm on the other side.
Terrible hotel. Staff is never around and if they are they are rude. Was a guest here with my wife and everything was shut down like the pool, hot tub, room service which they failed to tell us before arrival. They gifted my half of the points back to my account which I thought was very unprofessional on their part. Being a Gold elite member for life, they sure do not make you feel like you are important. I will never go back to this property as the managers there do not care.
Stayed here for my honeymoon. Beautiful suite with an astounding view. Perfect view of the slope and village. Very nice pool and hot tub.
Awesome, except most everything was closed and the pipe noises from the surrounding bathrooms.
Great location and very well furnished. Just not so great food. The service in the dining room/bar was a little off too. I was there just at the beginning of the season, and the hotel was pretty empty, which was nice, but maybe the staff was just gearing up. Not really a great excuse, however. this was my vacation...
Omg. So fabulous. Clean , so many things to do. Best
Nice units, but during Covid have closed rooftop jacuzzis
We stayed in condo on top floor from VRBO was great.
Visited during the Summer so a lot was closed for the season, but it was a great experience nonetheless.
This place was just what we needed for a get away with the inlaws in town. The valet was very helpful. The construction was a bit of a pain but we figured it out. Definitely will be back soon
Beautiful location and well-staffed with very helpful individuals
Do not stay here. In particular, do not use the valet service. We made that mistake and our car was damaged. Of course Sheraton refused to admit their error and basically called my wife and I liars. In addition, the room was basic, the bed uncomfortable, the restaurant only operated for breakfast and the bar was totally inadequate. And, to add insult to injury,
it turns out that this hotel is being converted to condos owned by Starwood.
The perfect place to stay for steamboat experience! Could not have gone better. Immaculate room. Safe protocols. I want to come back!
All about convenience here! Ski in/out, amazing spa onsite, clean and updated rooms. We stayed in a two bedroom with a lock off room with three couples and three kids. Worked out great!
As Vistana owners we have stayed in these villa properties for years but sorry to say this Sheridan needs work. The spa does not open to 10, same time as check out. Kind of says get out on your check out day. The tv works intermediate during storms. Rooms are beautiful but lobby is really old and needs some attention. I was a little disappointed.
Wonderful location with 2 hot tub area separate from main family pool. The beds are surprisingly comfortable and the kitchen is modern and equipped with everything you need. A nice and comfortably large tv in each bedroom.
I went here for dinner the night before the marathon in June. It was by far the WORST meal I have ever had. The server told us probably 15 times how she "just want[ed] to go home" and the bar tender and manager sat and counted their money without paying us any attention even though we were one of two tables at the restaurant that evening. The food took over an hour to get to us, drinks were forgotten completely even after being reminded on multiple occasions, and the food was less then mediocre. A 10-year-old could have made pasta as good as theirs, slightly overcooked and soaked in an inedible sauce. All in all, I will never return here for dinner. Very disappointed.
We had a fun trip to steamboat planned for us and the kids. This hotel honestly ruined our experience. First day they forced us to check out at 10. So we spent all morning waiting on a room. Then we found out that we couldn t get in a new room because they were checking out at 12. So apparently people are treated differently at this place based off of how much money your willing to spend. We missed 2 ski sessions because of this place and we all know how expensive steamboat tickets are. Will not be coming back here. Also, we are Bonvoy members and this is how they treated us.
Perfect location, rooms in very nice condition and view on the gondolas
The nicest Sheraton I have ever stayed at. Having a kitchen really came in handy.
Very nice. I thought for the price that the rooms would have more options like a simply microwave, but it was nice.
Really like this place. Perfect Steamboat location. Hotel side good. Villa side fantastic for groups
Very nice hotel! Great location, friendly staff, and great food!
The hotel and staff are wonderful. The views are spectacular. Located at the base of the gondola. Lots of activities in this area. Bar, restaurant, spa, pool and hot tubs. Map of hiking trails to take you up the mountain (lots of bike paths also). We hiked up and took the gondola down. Scenery and bar/ restaurant at the top. Our visit was mid September and we loved it. One day a moose wandered through the outdoor area right by the stream and hotel.
Great property with attentive staff and excellent amenities.
The front of the house gave me very poor service, never told me I had pre paid for valet parking. Which they did not even offer to me. No one helped me with my skis or luggage. The Villa looks nothing like the photos on the website. The fist Villa they put me in was not the size I had paid for. After they switched me to another Villa, again NO help with my luggage. If you go there be prepared to haul all your own luggage and skis around and park your own car!!!!
